QUANDO VADO A COLLEGARMI AD IMESSAGE, DOPO AVER FATTO L'AGGIORNAMENTO A IOS8, MI DICE CHE NON E' POSSIBILE ACCEDERE, VERIFICA LA CONNESSIONE DI RETE, MA LA RETE C'E' PERCHE' STO NAVIGANDO.
MI PUO' AIUTARE QUALCUNO

Taylor, thanks for the hint.  You may be correct. The very small, very feint grey text on the Yosemite page says :  SMS requires an iPhone with iOS 8.1.
I suppose that's not available yet, I'm on 8.0.2 and no update is available.  I'll wait.

    I have an iPhone 6 and iPad 2 running iOS8, and both have the same issue.
    Image attachments do not display in iMessage, but just show a blank frame with the file name and "?"
    Interestingly, it appears to have got worse since Friday.
    On Friday, it was just images from someone I know with iOS6 that were not displaying. At that point it showed "downloading" on the icon. Tapping "details' showed the image.
    Then others started to disappear from my iPhone, but iPad was fine.
    This morning, images don't show on either device in iMessage, even if looking in the details tab.
    Have tried logging out of iMessage, turning off iMessage - no joy.
    Couldn't find any other threads on this, but can't believe I'm alone on this. Have put in the iPhone community as there doesn't appear to be a generic iOS8 thread.

    Usually when you mix oil and water it doesn't go so well. (That was in reference to creating HTML from Word)
    Word likes to create a sub-folder for its images when it creates HTML. Usually it's a variation of the Word document file name. So if it's MyDoc, you may see something like MyDoc_Files as a folder name.
    Do you have such a folder in your project? If not, there's your answer. If so, you need to dig a bit deeper.

  • Problema serio con IOS8 e' uno schifo

    scaricando IOS8 su ipad2, non funziona più il Wireless e solo scrivere con la tastiera spesso si blocca o sparisce senza motivo. Praticamente me l'ha danneggiato forse perché apple pensa che così ne compero un altro!!! Questa è solo una truffa perché non è possibile che i grandi cervelloni che progettano tutto ciò non riescono a vedere cosa causano con i loro aggiornamenti!? La cosa ancora più meschina e' che pretendono denaro per la riparazione! Assistenza Apple si chiama.

    The only other possible way to do this is via the iTunes support Staff.
    If I Open iTunes and go to the Store and then to the bottom of the page there is a Help Column.
    In this is Contact Support.
    For me this launches this page http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/contact/
    On the right hand pane is a Link reading Contact iTunes Store Support.
    After that follow the items about Managing your account.
    It will try to offer suggestions as solutions and you have to work your way from left to right across the pages.
    Eventually you get offered an Email Contact item.
    I would do this from your iTunes to get the Local iTunes Store to you in a language that will be the most helpful.
    I will admit some have reported success doing it this way when  there is no Phone number or the one listed in not Local.
    I have also seen people report that they received no Help this way.

  • IMessage delay IOS8

    I have been having an issue with iMessage since I updated to IOS 8 on my iPhone 5, then upgraded my phone to then iPhone 6.
    I might be in the middle of a conversation on iMessage then I notice the person did not respond to me, but might have sent me another message that I did receive, when I turn my phone off and back on then I receive that message on with the timestamp on it which could have been sent hours ago.
    I attached a screenshot of a iMessage as an example, I had to reboot my phone to receive the message from the previous day, but as you can see I was able to receive other messages. So far I did a full reset and did a restore and same problem. I do have the most current IOS 8.0.2.

    I'm having this same problem with my iPhone 5.  It didn't appear until I upgraded to 7.1.1.

    Hola a todos. Yo descubrí lo siguiente. Pude efectivamente activar el iMessage, lo hice solo con el numero nada de mails.
    El tema es que cuando trato de iniciar una conversación nueva no me detecta los contactos que tienen imessage, por ende se envía como mensaje de texto.
    Lo curioso es que cuando ellos me responden, a ellos si les sale que tengo iMessage y me responden como iMessage. De ahí en adelante yo puedo responder con iMessage.
    Lo molestoso de esto es que cuando quiero enviar un iMessage lo puedo hacer solo con los que ya había estado chateando, pero si quiero hablar con alguien con quien no tenía una conversación abierta me toca gastar un SMS.
    Traté también desde Messages de la Mac y no me detecta los teléfonos que tienen iMessages. Solo los mails.

    Hola! mctadeo, es frustrante cuando instalas un nuevo OS (tal es el caso de Mountain Lion) y resultan detalles que no puedes explicar o que te dificultan el utilizar tu Mac, te comento que también tuve el mismo problema y después de investigar, probar e incluso llamar a soporte de Apple en donde no supieron darme una solución por fin encontré la solución, la cual no requiere configuraciones adicionales, activar la función de horario automático o integrar a la configuración de Wifi en el DNS 8.8.8.8 (comentarios que encontré en la red y que no funcionaron).
    Pues bien, te explico, al instalar el Mountain Lion, también se instala y se activa el Firewall de OS, el cual no permite la conexión de los servicios de Facetime e iMessage, por lo que solamente con desactivarlo es más que suficiente para poder usarlos, te pongo la ruta a seguir para que puedas aplicarla:
    1. Ingresa a Preferencias del Sistema
    2. Da clic en el ícono de Seguridad y Privacidad
    3. Dentro de las funciones, ubica la pestaña "Firewall"
    4. Da clic en el botón "Desactivar Firewall"
    5. Cierra Preferencias del Sistema y listo
    Si no puedes dar clic al botón "Desactivar Firewall" revisa que en la parte inferior izquiera de tu ventana esté abierto el candado de seguridad. Una vez que realices éste cambio, te recomiendo que reinicies tu Mac para que todo salga bien, ya en la nueva sesión, trata de conectarte nuevamente a Facetime y a iMessages con tu ID y contraseña y me cuentas el resultado.
    Espero que ésta solución le sirva a todos.

  • IOS forces use of iMessage

    After "upgrade", I can no longer send plain old SMS text to other iPhones - disabling iMessage results in error message that iMessage must be enabled. I've tried network resets and toggling on/off iMessage and Facetime to no avail. If I toggle off cell data, however, the SMS goes through fine. But why the heck should I have to kill all cell data just to quit using iMessage.
    What we've noticed is that iMessage delivery is slooooowwwwwww. Even messages labeled on sending device as "delivered" aren't showing up on the recipient's device with consistent regularity. We stopped using iMessage as a result sometime in iOS7 and want to kill it in iOS8, but can't.

    BobbyD solution not the problem and not helpful at all. I understand the messaging technology and since disabling cell data does result in successful SMS transmission, I'm still left with the conclusion that Apple did something with iMessage in iOS8 that makes it hard (and maybe in some cases impossible) to disable. iMessage itself is awful - some of my iMessages are being delivered 24 hours after I send them, again even though they're marked as "delivered" when sent. Looking like I'm rolling back to iOS7.
    Agreed about labels - must be a mis-directed post.

    Ritengo di essere un discreto cliente Apple :
    2 i pad mini

    2 i phone 3 s
    2 i phone 4 s
    1 i phone 5
    Alcune volte mi sono rivolto al centro Apple di Torino per problemi vari di softwareo malfunzionamenti o sempre riscontrato la presenza di personale a mio parere troppo giovane,disinvolto e con scarsa attenzione al cliente.
    Ma veramente l'ultima evenienza mi ha lasciato di stucco.
    Premetto che cambiando la SIM la mio i phone 5 mi è scappatto di mano il contenitore della Sim e l'ho perduto.
    Mi sono recato presso il centro Apple di Torino e ho richiesto se potevo "pagando " avere un ricambio.
    Mi è stato comunicato che il ricambio non esisteva come tale e se avessi aspettato una mezzora mi averbbero aperto una procedura di assistenza ritirando il mio apparecchio (in garanzia) e lo averbbero mandato via per la riparazione.
    Ritengo che un tale comportamento sia assolutamente inaccettabile e pertanto me ne sono andato comunicando agli addetti che sara' l'ultimo apparato Apple che acquistero'.
    Intendo complimentarmi con la APPLE per l'assistenza che fornisce ai clienti provero' con i prodotti SAMSUNG vedro' se sono piu' fortunato.
    PS  Ho trovato su INTERNET il ricambio necessario a € 1,47 che mi è stato recapitatpo dalla ditta CS in 24 ore.

    vorrei segnalare all'attenzione di qualcuno della Apple che il vostro caro iOS8 sta dando problemi a molti iPhone 4s. Non avevo sentito di questi problemi finchè ieri sera non è capitato anche a me, mi spiego meglio: ieri sera dopo aver lasciato il telefono fermo per circa 1 ora e 30 minuti l'ho ripreso in mano e ho inviato un messaggio, dopo l'invio l'ho appoggiato due minuti e prendendolo in mano ho notato che non dava segni di vita e ha continuato così fino al mattino seguente quando mi ha segnalato essere scarico anche se, appena successo il fatto, lo avevo collegato subito alla corrente. dopo averlo collegato alla corrente magicamente ha ripreso a funzionare normalmente, non credo che sia normale e sono molto scocciata per questa cosa, soprattutto quando vengo a sapere che a molti iPhone 4s sta succedendo, mi chiedo: il mio telefono ha 2 anni e l'ho pagato 700€ è possibile che lo debba GIA' cambiare per colpa di un bug di iOS8???? insomma se mettete un software per un telefono fate in modo che non sia uno schifo completo. ho sempre amato i telefoni della apple ma ultimamente, direi dalla morte di Steve Jobs, è uno schifo!
    E vorrei sottolineare che dato che molti hanno il 4s sarebbe una bella cosa farlo funzionare adeguatamente non credete? 
    rimango in attesa di una risposta o di un chiarimento sperando che non risucceda di nuovo, intanto provvederò a fare un backup completo del telefono ogni giorno ma non credo che sia una soluzione ottimale.
    rimango molto scocciata e sto consigliando a tutti di non aggiornare a iOS8 per non incappare nel mio stesso errore, inoltre vi faccio i complimenti per aver tolto il downgrade a iOS7 visto che quello almeno andava decentemente.
    credo che se il mio prossimo telefono dovrà essere un iPhone nuovamente lo vorrei comunque MOLTO migliore di quello che è diventato un gioiellino come il 4s con iOS8.
