Configure 64 Bit System for Flash
Newer 64 Bit Systems are becoming the norm - How can Adobe
not not make flashplayer compatible? Are there instructions for
configuring for a 32 Bit browser on a 64 bit system? This is so
frustrating and renders newer computers useless for lots of
applications. Please help! Thank you.
Odd, I have a Vista 64-bit system and it installs no problem. What is the exact message you're getting? I'd start by trying to redownload from the BlackBerry.com site (use this link: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/) and then try to provide any additional info you can.
If you have an antivirus program running, also try turning off protection while installing the program. Sometimes antivirus programs interfer with the installation, so that's another thing to try.

Been using FF for many years. Then, it wouldn't work with 64bit systems. IE sucked too, but I had to use it. So, just got off IE and back to FF.
I was having Flash issues. Uninstalled it only to find out that it will not operate on a 64bit browser, but I can install a beta version of Flash, essentially. But, find no clear statement saying that FF is 64bit but will support 32bit. Even so, Flash will not operate as it should on FF.
Can I install the beta version of FLASH because FF is a full 64bit system? Thanks. I thought FF was a 64-bit system. I'll reinstall FLASH and see if I can solve the problem. Since posting the issue I've been through my system with a fine toothed comb cleaning, reinstalling things and making room. Maybe all the work will pay off and FLASH will install without a problem. Thanks guys.

How to enforce 32 bit runtime installation on 64 bit systems for VS 2010?
I have a VB6 application that uses a .Net dll that wraps the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 functionality. I make an installer with VS 2010 that has a dependency on the Crystal Reports for Net 4. However, on 64 bit systems only the 64 bit runtime is installed, while I need the 32 bit installer. As I add the Net .dll as a file to the installer probably it is not detected that this .dll has been compiled for x84 systems only. Is there a workaround for this? Could I for instance hack the bootstrap package?
Why are you mixing COM and .NET? Time to upgrade to .NET completely.....
Set your project to build x86 mode only and not use Any CPU.
Thank you

Configuring Runtime systems for a Track
Hello Experts,
I am new to the NWDI administration, here am having some quries for configuring Track related data.
We are using NWDI 7.0 SP18 having local SLD with both roles as landscape and Name server.
We have a requirement to build a new .SCA for MDM-EP perspective. So,we have created a new SC in SLD and created the domain and track for the newly created SC in CMS.
When we are initially creating a track for newly created SC,we selected runtime systems as DEV,Test and production.
Here we have one consolidated tab, where it will integrate all the changes in WS-CONS when we imported the requests. But here what kind of system details we need to provide for consolidation,Because we have already identified 3 sepate systems for DEV,QAS(TEST) and PROD.is it necessary to identify a separate system for consolidation?or is it a simply root path for DEV-to-QAS.
2.For developing with Track,we need to provide the Component Build Service (CBS) with the environment for building the components by importing required .SCA's(SAP-JEE,SAP_BUILDT,SAP_JTECHS).We have imported these SCA's in to DEV before using the track by DEV team. After that these components are added to consolidate tab as well. So,do we need to import all the standard .SCA's in to all the runtime systems for this track?(Pls.Note that all Runtime systems are at same NW 7.0 SP18 level).
Please provide your valuable suggestions to make myself understand this Java transport concepts clearly.
Thanks in Advance..
Regards,
Sanam.Hi,
Thanks for your clarification. Now we are facing an issue related to broken DC's once we imported the relased requests in to Consolidation phase.
Our developer activated and released 2 change requests.Once it got released it will automatically comes to the consolidation after successful build and autoimport in DEV system.we have tried to import the change requests in to the consolidation(No physical run time system is assigned to the consolidation)---In this phase if you import the chage requests in to consolidation phase:
Repisitory-Import is finished successfully
CBS-Make:identified the broken DC's after CBS Build process
SDM-Deployment Notication:No deployment, because no runtime system is defined.got finished successfully.
So,the DC's got broken during CBS Build phase. After some analysis,we identified the dependency SCA's got missed out in Consolidation. So,we imported the required SCA Components again in to the consolidation for build purpose. Here we again tried by adding those relased change requests to the consolidation queue and imported again. But still, the CBS Build identifying the Broken DC's.Our development SCA has the dependency software components as (SAP_EU,SAP_BUILDT,SAP_JEE,SAP_JTECHS).Thse components are successfully imported in to DEV and can able to see it from NWDS.The same components are imported successfully in to the consolidation as well, but from out 4 components we can able to see only 3 components except SAP_EU in NWDS.
1.So,is that causing any Build problem for my relased change requestes? If yes,why it was missing in consolidation(re-imported twice for SAP_EU).
2.we tried importing the released CR's without checking dependecies are available for consolidation. Is that causing my DC's broken for build phase?
Please suggest your ideas, how can i make my CBS-Build process OK for relased requests. -
Why does ADOBE FLASH Crash with XP, CHROME, 32 bit system
XP, Chrome, 32 bit system, Adobe flash version: 11.6.602.171 . Why does flash crash on a daily basis? (sometimes numerous times a day)
PROBLEM SOLVED. There were two versions of Flashplayer installed. I re-ran Flash Aid and it sorted the problem.
Why does Adobe not resolve this problem at installation or upgrade time???? -
Configure client ports for RTMFP
We are redesigning our Flash application to use RTMFP in place of RTMP, and we are interested in knowing exactly which ports our client app will try to use when connecting with RTMFP. From reading the documentation provided, it appears that the hostport element of Adaptor.xml allows for configuration of ports for Flash Media Server. Will changes to these port values have any effect on the ports being used by the client?
Hi,
Keystore Entry:
Login to Visual Admin --> Server --> Services --> KeyStorage --> TrustedCAs --> Load --> Select the location where you have stored the certificate on your local system
Load function is used as you have already got the certificate....
Once this is done you will find an entry for your certificate in the Entries tab of your TrustedCAs section.
This is your Keystore Entry...in other words it the name of your certificate.
Keystore View:

Are you going to consume Logon tickets of the Third party system (which is other than SAP J2ee engine of your XI)? If yes, then you may also need to do some more settings in the J2ee Engine.

How to set the 'Configuration Bits' in the PIC16F84
I am using the PIC16F84 in a circuit and I'm programming the assembly for the PIC. However I can't figure out how to set the configuration bits. For example I want to select the LP Oscillator, turn the WDT off, turn the PUT on, and turn the CP off. Normally if I was using the IDE from Microchip I would add the line:
_CONFIG H'3FF0'
However Multsim does not recognize this as a valid code. In addition the P16F84.inc file contains the following definitions:
_CP_ON EQU H'000F'
_CP_OFF EQU H'3FFF'
_PWRTE_ON EQU H'3FF7'
_PWRTE_OFF EQU H'3FFF'
_WDT_ON EQU H'3FFF'
_WDT_OFF EQU H'3FFB'
_LP_OSC EQU H'3FFC'
_XT_OSC EQU H'3FFD'
_HS_OSC EQU H'3FFE'
_RC_OSC EQU H'3FFF'
What is the code though to select which options you want to use?Try this code:
_CONFIG _CP_OFF & _PWRITE_ON & _WDT_OFF & _LP_OSC
I tried this in the assembler and it didn't return any error messages when compiling. I found this in a PIC Book that I downloaded off the internet.
I hope it works for you. I am new to the MCU Module and learning about it so don't consider me an expert on it by a long shot.

Adobe Flash Player 32 bit for 64 bit system?
I have Windows Vista 64 bit OS but I use IE9 32 bit browser. However, I mainly use Firefox. I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (11.6.602.168) installed; I followed all the instructions on the help page -- disable active x filtering, updating the drivers, hardware acceleration turned off, etc. What I want to know is should I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player 32 bit even though I have a 64 bit OS? Flash player keeps freezing up. Do I need to change any of my global settings?
Here are the flashlogs from the host that SAYS it has the plug in installed
in programs & features, but LACKS it according to firefox
(& probably doesn't have either x86 or x64 plugin in reality)
installed from the manual, offline installer as above
note: the IE version is installed & works

WIndows 7 64-bit system printing to a Windows 2000 server configured as a print server
Is there any way to configure a new Windows 7 64-bit computer to use a Windows 2000 server configured as a print server ?
The printer that I would like to connect to is an HP 4240n LaserJet. I appears that there is only a 64-bit Universal Print Driver available. The server currently uses HP 32-bit PCL5e or PCL6 drivers for all other connected computers. Connection is through a Hewlett-Packard Network Port, using DLC/LLC transport for the embedded 4240n print server.
Installing the HP 64-bit UPD to the WIndows 7 64-bit system, and then attempting to redirect the local port to the Win2k network print server has not worked.
Thanks for any advice.Hi:
See if this works...
Run msconfig.
In the System Configuration screen, Boot tab, Advanced Options, if there is a check mark in the box next to Maximum memory. Remove that checkmark and save your changes.
Reboot and hopefully Windows recognises all the Ram ( minus the reserved ) after restarting.
Please give that a try, and post back and let us know if that frees up some system memory for you.

How to create a ARD for 64 Bit And 32 Bit Systems
Dear All,
Please help me to solve my problem. I am not able to create the ARD for both type systems (32 Bit and 64 Bit Bit). My system is OS Windows 7, 32 bit operating system. Sometimes my add-ons run successfully for 32 bit , sometimes for 64 bit. I am creating 2 ARD's for each add-on but I have failed.
I have read many threads but I got no success.
Please help me.
RegardsHi Pedro Magueija, Edy Simon,
Thanks for your reply. I follow below mentioned steps to create the ARD File. I build my add-on code as mentioned below:
Solution Configuration
Solution Platform
Project Properties/Compile/ Advanced Compile Option/ Target CPU
Add-on Registration Data Generator x64 Option
Debug
x86
x86
FALSE (Unchecked)
Debug
x86
x86
True (Checked)
I was able to create and use ARD by doing in above mentioned way. But sometimes these ARD doesn't work or doesn't get installled.

I'm using Windows 7 32-bit with Firefox 17.0.1 -- everything's up to date. I keep getting this error every time I try to update an Adobe add-on using the idiot stub installer -- I don't have this problem with a full installer, such as I've been able to find for Shockwave. Why can't I donwload a full installer for Flash or Reader and avoid this stupid problem??? It started about two or three Windows updates ago, and nothing else is now on my system. I don't really care who's responsible (Windows/Microsoft or Adobe) -- I jut want the blasted things to update and work. HELP!!!
Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to search for an item named "Safari Extensions List". If found, delete it. Quit Keychain Access.
Quit and relaunch Safari. -
I had been updating my Windows Vista 64 bit system and as a result of a problem, had to reboot my system. Afterwards, I was no longer able to access iTunes. I got a message stating that there was a problem with some of the files associated with the application. A phone rep at Apple's Customer Service provided me with emails linking instructions on completely uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I did the uninstall, then checked for lingering iTunes files and couldn't completely remove some, but tried intalling the latest version of iTunes. It has been running for roughly 24 hours. The status bar is green all the way across, and when I try to cancel, I get the following message: "Are you sure you want to cancel iTunes installation?" I keep hitting "no," but am staring to wonder if there is a problem with the install. Should it take this long if I have roughly 134 gigs of music? I can still see the music in my computer's C drive, so I am worried that there is an error, perhpas because I didn't clear out all the lingering C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and all the lingering C:\Program Files\iTunes\. Any thoughts?
It is not just the HP. I have 3 HP computes and 2 Dell computers. 2 of the HP and 1 Dell suffer the iTunes internet block. Took me a while to figure it out also. But, the one thing that is different on the Dell, is that I can leave iTunes installed and not open it and everything works. As soon as I open it, internet access goes down. BUT secure sites (https:) works fine.

I need to reinstall my operating system for 10.5 after seeing a file folder and question mark flashing on my start up screen. Can anyone help me with this?
Hello,
That means it can find the Hard Drive, or can't find the things needed for booting.
See if DU even sees it.
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.) -
can you download a 32 bit installer for Photoshop elements 12 to install on a 64 bit system (windows 7). Thanks in advance
yes, if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -
Hard drive died. Cannot uninstall CS3 to remove copy registration. Need to reinstall on new laptop with windows 7 64 bit system, Need to get activation code for CS3 Web Premium.
Thank you Bob.
Just to clarify - in terms of backing up one set of these, would that just be so I had it on disk and didn't need to re-download from Adobe if the installation got corrupted somehow? Or do I need a backup for some other reason?
Thanks

Reverse engineer, the reverse engineer? (Microsoft)
I have to recognize that considerable woe at Adobe is cause by the million or so problems Microsoft has. Literally. I often wonder, when I want video-or-sound worked with, it ends up Adobe, and then this power bleeds backwards, like a PDF document. W
