Configure AIM Mobile Forwarding

HI there,
I just got my iPhone 3GS and wanted to configure AIM Mobile Forwarding. I go through the steps but never receive the text message they say gets sent to your mobile device so I can enter the confirmation code.
I'm on Rogers network in Canada. Does mobile forwarding work in Canada?
Thanks

  • Offline iChat, but no AIM Mobile Forwarding

I have had AIM for the longest time ever. I also registered for Mobile Forwarding, which worked.
Once I got a Macbook and added my AIM account to iChat, Mobile Forwarding would still work. When I set my status to offline, I become mobile. When I set my status to invisible, I become mobile. When I quit iChat, I become mobile.
However, just recently I must have quit iChat wrong or something, because now my status will not appear mobile.
When I am invisible, my status is mobile. But when i am offline/quit iChat, my status is offline and I cannot recieve messages.
[I know this by viewing my status on another sreenname on meebo.]
I have reregistered my mobile phone for Mobile Forwarding with the confirmation code and everything, but it still doesn't work.
    Help, please!

    HI,
    I have never done this.
Have you looked at this page ? https://settings.aim.com/
Once you have logged in there you have the option to select Mobile. It seems to imply you get to see the registered devices if you have any.
I would then check the Life Stream and Privacy Settings to see (pun acknowledged) who can see you as Mobile.
It is possible that AIM have changed a Default here (in either setting) to make things more Private.

  • Issue in configuring TMG as Forward/Reverse Proxy

I am trying to setup reverse and forward proxy using TMG 2010. I have following networks:
    Internal Networks:
    10.2.1.0/24
    10.3.1.0/24
    DMZ (Perimeter) Network:
10.7.1.0/24   NAT relationship with external network e.g. Public IPs
I've setup one TMG node and selected "Back Firewall" as topology.
    NIC 1 Config: (Internal)
    IP:    10.2.1.20
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    DW:     Not defined
    DNS:    10.2.1.5
    NIC 2 Config: (Perimeter)

    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    DW:     10.7.1.5
    DNS:    Not Defined
During setup when wizard asked me to define internal IP ranges, I defined 10.2.1.1 - 10.2.1.255 instead of selecting Adaptor.
    Setup Completed successfully.
I created Allow rule from internal to local host.
    From Client-end:
From client machines i can not access TMG internal interface IP (because gateway is not defined on TMG internal interface i guess)
while i can access DMZ interface IP i.e. 10.7.1.20 and can telnet port 8080.
When i define DMZ interface IP i.e. 10.7.1.20:8080 as proxy address in client-side browser, that throws an error "10061 no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"
    Failed Connection Attempt

    On TMG server:
When i define DMZ interface IP i.e. 10.7.1.20:8080 as proxy address in browser that still throws an error "10061 no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"
But when i define internal interface IP as proxy in browser i.e. 10.2.1.20:8080 it works.

What am i missing please advise and what could be the work around to get this work from internal network.

    Hello Quan,
    Thanks for your reply..
No it didn't work. I'm still using that as reverse proxy and unable to configure that as forward. :-)

  • Cannot send to AIM Mobile

I am trying to write a contact who is using AIM Mobile, the contact appears as offline in iChat but using AIM on my iPhone I can see that the contact is Mobile and everything works, while I cannot send messages from my Macbook Pro. I do however receive replies in iChat as long as my status is online, but not while away.
How can I get to send messages from my Macbook to a contact using AIM Mobile?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the    Discussions
You could try deleting com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist to Reforce your AIM Login when you restart iChat
The Files is in your Home Folder/Library/Preferences.
However this sounds more like a flagging issue at the AIM end.

  • Configure SMTP to forward mail to a specific domain

We have migrated all of our e-mail from on premise exchange to Office 365. To support internal applications that send e-mail such as our scanners, we have setup a SMTP relay server using IIS on Windows 2012.
This is working very well however we have some users that when they do a scan they simply enter their e-mail alias (the part before the @ symbol) since that worked when the scanner was sending to Exchange. However Office 365 does not know how to route these
e-mails so they result in a NDR. Since the NDR is not sent to the person creating the scan they do not even know the issue other than they did not receive their scan.
Is there a way to configure the SMTP service on Windows 2012 to send all e-mail that does not have a domain listed in the e-mail address to a specific domain? For example, if someone were to send their scan to myalias it would be delivered to myalias at mycompany
dot com (sorry about spelling it out but it is not letting me post this with a e-m ail address in it even if the address is not valid)

    Hi,
You can try to create a SMTP domain in IIS manager(Default SMTP Virtual Server>Domains>New>domain) and then enable "Allow incoming mail to be relayed to this domain" and "Forward all mail to smart host".
In addition, for questions related to IIS, you can also ask in IIS forum for professional assistance:

In addition to my above reply, please follow the below steps -
Step 1 . JRA Configuration via Visual Administrator (VA)
    1.Visual Administration
2.start VA via go.bat file (and login to the J2EE system)
3.on the u201CClusteru201D tab go to: Server->Services->Connector Container
    4.In u201CRuntimeu201D tab expand branch u201Csap.com/sapjra.raru201D.
    5. Mark service u201Ceis/SAPJRAFactoryu201D and go to u201CManaged Connection Factoryu201D tab and then to u201CConnection Definitionu201D tab. Set there u201CMaximum Connectionsu201D  to value higher than 0.
6.Save your changes with  u201CDisketteu201D icon
7.Now mark service u201Ceis/SAPJRAFactoryu201D and use clone icon (two paper sheets)
8.Enter name u201CSAPJRAFactory_ENu201D and press OK
9.Check whether cloning is successful or not.
10.Go to u201CManaged Connection Factoryu201D tab and then to u201CPropertiesu201D tab and check there if language fits to the factoryu2019s name. If needed adjust language settings and save your changes with  u201CDisketteu201D icon
Note : All parameters in u201CPropertiesu201D tab must be u201CStringu201D type.Repeat clone step as many times as many languages you want to serve. For example : - u201CSAPJRAFactory_DEu201D service has set up language as German.
Step 2. Connection setup for self registering programs
To upload deployed mobile components to the ABAP Stack it is necessary that the EJB MobileContainerBean is registered as a program. Furthermore a RFC connection has to be created in ABAP stack to access the EJB. The access to the EJB will be performed when the function module MEMGMT_MOBILE_CONTAINER_SYNC is called. To ensure that the connection can be created the following tasks have to be performed once.
Creation of the JCo RFC Connection
    1.     Start the visual administrator of your J2EE.
    2.     And open the node of your server.
    3.     under Services -> JCO Rfc Provider Tab Runtime you are able to create a new connection.
    4.     create a connection with following parameter
    a.     RFC Connection
    i.     Program ID = MEMGMT_MOBILE_CONTAINER_SYNC
ii.     Gateway host = <Gateway of your system>
iii.     Gateway service = <the service of your gateway>
    iv.     Number of processes(1..20) = 5
    b.     Repository
    i.     Application server host = <the application server where the program should be registered>
ii.     System number = <System number of  your system>
    iii.     Client = <logon client >
    iv.     User = < Logonuser>
    v.     Password = <password of the logon user>
    c.     If you have a Unicode system mark Unicode
    5.     Use the SET Button to save you settings
    6.     Mark the new entry u201CMEMGMT_MOBILE_CONTAINER_SYNCu201D under available RFC destinations and choose start. If the start button is grayed out your Connection from J2EE side is established and the program is registered.
creating a RFC Connection in ABAP to access EJB
    1.     Logon to your middleware and start transaction sm59.
    2.     Mark the node TCP/IP connection and choose the create button
    3.     Choose an new name for your connection
    4.     set the connection type to u201CTu201D and enter a description
    5.     select the tab technical settings and mark the radio button Registered Server Program
    6.     enter as Program id u201CMEMGMT_MOBILE_CONTAINER_SYNCu201D
    7.     as Gateway host and gatewayserce enter the same values as you already did in the visual administrator
    8.     In Tab MDMP & Unicode select the type of system you have Unicode or Non-unicode
    9.     Save your settings and test the connection everything should work properly
Step 3: Register your RFC connection for uploading components
Start transaction sm30 and enter MEMGMT_J2EE_DEST as table name.
Under RFC Destination enter the RFC you created for accessing EJB and enter a short description.
Step 4: R/3 configuration to call transactions via Web GUI
Following parameters has to be configured within an R/3 system to enable Web GUI calls:
    1. There are three port parameters in instance profile:
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP, PORT=50026, TIMEOUT=900
    icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS, PORT=1443, TIMEOUT=900
    icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP, PORT=25026, TIMEOUT=900
    2. To use SSL the following four parameters are necessary:
    ssl/ssl_lib = $(DIR_EXECUTABLE)/
(eg. libsapcrypto.so)
    sec/libsapsecu = $(DIR_EXECUTABLE)/
    ssf/ssfapi_lib = $(DIR_EXECUTABLE)/
    ssf/name = SAPSECULIB

  • Configuring BO Mobile with external access

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to configure Business Objects Mobile in my company server (windows 2008) with an external access to it. I have two servers - master and client (hyper V). I installed BOBJI 4.0 server and BOXI client on master server and planning to have mobile server on hyper V. I have gone through the SAP documents on installation and deployment but confused on installing and configuring mobile server and accessibility both internally (wireless router) and externally (outside company network)
    1) Is it a better practice to have mobile sever on hyper v?
    2) Should i create a proxy server for the process? If on which one should be - master or client?
If anybody has done similar to this, can they share any documentation or best practices followed?
    Appreciate your earliest help.

    Hi Durga,
in intranet we will have HTTP it is working fine.
    in Internet HTTPS. issue occurs.
Previously we are using the mobile client version which less than 5.1 Release. we never had any issue with HTTP or HTTPS.
Today we have upgraded mobile client to 5.1.32. And issue started occurring.
we are not using any VPN to connect. our web url is enabled in internet to access the reports.
Note:we have verified the web url in the internet by connecting it from other system which is out of our network. There launchpad/CMS are working fine without having any issue with HTTPS.
    Only issue in Mobile Device.

  • Problem in configuring the Mobile Server.

    Hi,
I am trying to configure Mobile Server for Apache for the Apache Server. I am following the steps listed in the Installation guide. As listed in the document I did the changes in the Apache Configuration file "httpd.conf" i.e. I included the Mobile Server module confuguration file into Apache Config file. On starting the apache server I am getting following listed warning,
"[Wed Apr 28 18:14:46 2004] [warn] Loaded DSO D:\oracle\oralite\mobile\server\bin\wtgapach.DLL uses plain Apache 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile it with -DEAPI)".
The Apache server is working and through browser I am able to access the default page. But as mentioned in the Mobile Server configuration section the Mobile server is not started or at least I do not know how to access the Mobile server through browser.
Please let me know if the cause of the warning message has any effect on the Mobile Server instantiation and if not how can I access the Mobile Server?
    Thanks,
    Sachin.

    Hi,
I am trying to install the Oracle Lite suit versioned 5.0.2 for Windows. The RDBMS is Oralce 9i (9.2.0.1). I am able to install the Mobile server. Refering the Installation mannual I am trying to configure and run the mobile serve in either standalone mode or with Oracle HTTP server. In the installation mannual it is mentioned that the HTTPD.conf file for apache http server should be modified to include the wtgapach.conf file from the Oralce Lite ORACLE_HOME\mobile\server\bin folder. On making this change and starting the apache server I am getting the error listed in the post. In the mannual it is mentioned that for standalone mode run the webtogo executable from the bin folder. On doing so I am getting a message
    "D:\oracle\oralite\Mobile\Server\bin>webtogo
    Unrecognized option: -Xrs"
So currently I am stuck and do not know how to start the mobile server. Please let me know the appropriate steps to start the Mobile server in stadalone as well as with Oracle HTTP server.
Also as mentioned by you I replaced the wtgapach.conf with wtgias.conf. The warning message which was displaying earlier on start of Apache is now gone but if tried to start the mobile server from the browser it is not working as expected.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sachin.

  • How to Configure Extension Mobility

    Hello friends,
I am presently at crossroad on getting Extension Mobility to work on a CUCM 7(1)2. I have exhausted as many cisco docs on doing this. Please can someone who has not got just the book knowledge but with experience(s) should please give me a detailed step by step way  in getting it configured and working!
    Thanks!

And still can't make it work, you're doing something wrong, that's the doc everyone who has configured EM (and 90% is the same no matter the version) has followed to configure this.
Read the doc, digest the info, then carefully go step by step thru the config.

for identifying the EAP type. You should make sure that you have configured the same EAP type which should be EAP TTLS and also you have identified the same inner method on both server and client.
On the controller you have to make sure that you have enabled dot1x authentication as L2 security measure with any other encrypption-  key management method.
make sure that your RADIUS server supports TTLS,
send me screen shoots of your client config , and what inner method are you using?
what is the RADIUS server brand you are using?
If you want to use your Cisco WLC as the local authenticator ( acting as RADIUS server and AAA client at the same time ) -- good luck ---> TTLS not supported
