Configure BO services to run under a user that has the EN_US locale

Hi all,
My question is following a previous thread on a known issue where a work-around has been proposed by Efstratios Karaivazoglou (Thanks for that):
BusinessObjects Integration Kits
I thought a new thread would be more appropriate since this is basically a whole new question.
The proposed work-around is the following:
"please configure the BO services on your windows server to run under a user (belonging to the local administrators group) that has the EN_US locale set in its default profile. This is a known problem of WebI and the SAP integration KIT running on an international (e.g german) version of windows."
Regarding that work-around two questions came up:
(1) "BO services" mean basically the BOE MySQL database service and the Apache Tomcat service, right?
(2) A user that has the "EN_US locale set in its default profile": Where in the user profile settings would you set the locale to EN_US? I just had a look at the user properties in "Computer Management" on the windows server and haven`t seen this property.
Unfortunately we don`t have the FixPack 1.3 installed yet (which is supposed to solve the problem).

Hi,
BO services means the SIA (Server Intelligence Agent) and the Tomcat. You can do this over the Central Configuration Manager utility.
After logging on the Windows Server with the credentials of the new user you can set the regional settings under Control Panel->Regional and Language Options

Just upgraded to 10.2.0.3 ee from 10.1.0.4 standard.
The jobs were entered via em and given the proper owner.
em was logged in as sys. All jobs are running as user name sys.
Can the user name be changed to the owner or do I have to drop and rebuild the jobs?

Hi,
For jobs there are two users, the job_owner and the job_creator.
The job_owner is the schema the job is created in. The job runs as the job owner and with the privileges of the job owner.
The job_creator is the user that creates the job (even if he creates it in another schema). When a job runs it sets its logged-in-user to be the job creator, so any actions will be audited as having been done by the job creator.
Neither the job_owner nor the job_creator can be modified after the job has been created.
But you may be able to use the copy_job command or the create_like EM button to save you some trouble.

So better solution run the query twice over AGR1251 first on IT0008 and secondly on values W OR R and then the result over table AGR_USERS
Youu also might put an additional selection on object P* (only selecting HR objects)
output wll be UID in table AGR_USERS

You probably have to go through a restore of the phone.
Plug the phone in and launch iTunes, then select your phone from the left side of the menu.
There will be an option to restore the phone and click that button.
That will erase and restore the phone. After it's done, it will ask you to restore from a recent backup, and you can choose to go ahead and restore.
You should be back up and running from there, but may have to do some minor tweeks to get yourself back up exactly as you left off. Some things like your visual voicemail password and email passwords may have to be entered again, but you'll be in good shape.

Find the user that executed the SQL procedure

I want to know the OS user that executed the purging procedure (PURGE). For this, i am using the following query which is not returning any row:

Since you want to know who is running the procedure would a log table you could insert into at the start or end of the procedure help, to store the information you are interesting in seeing?
Or, can you get the information you want from other system views? V$SESSION has the OSUSER column as well as SQL_ID and other join columns for other views (like V$SQL).

I have purchased a from within an app. I submit my password for the app, and then my Apple ID. I then get the following messages "Regrant failure _ please log in with the same user that has bought this app" and that is followed by "cant conn with IT _

I have purchased an item from within the app PocketBible on my iPad. However when I try to download it I am asked for my app User Name and Password and then my Apple ID and password. I give both of these. I then get a message which says Regrant failure - Please log in with the same user that has bought the app. That is then followed by Pocket Bible Alert - cannot connect to iTunes Store.

I had the same problem. My wife had the PocketBible on her Ipad 2 and she transferred ownership to me. I had to delete the app and reinstall it from the App store(logged in with my apple ID) and its working without a problem. I do not get those error messages when I attempt to Buy/Upgrade or Add/Remove books.

I have a user that has an issue when printing to PDF.

I have a user that has an issue when printing to PDF. When printing to PDF the PC will intermittently freeze and sometimes the print spooler will crash taking all other printers offline. A reboot clears it up for a while but then it comes back.

I manage a network of 30,000 + workstations all with Acrobat Pro 10. Upon upgrading to 10.1.10, they all exhibited similar symptoms printing to the PDF printer. The problem is most obvious in IE 11, it will cause the browser to stop responding, however it seems to depend on the page being viewed. For example we can print google.com, but not yahoo.com.
And of course there is no method to roll back to 10.1.9, other than to completely remove and re-install Acrobat.
I hope this is getting addressed soon!

Same problem here ! I called Apple Care and got two people during 2 hours on call, they were unable to explain why and just repeat that "the use of TVout for recording purpose are not supported by apple".
Why this settings has to be hidden ?
FYI : i'm able to capture Ipad 2 thru BMD Intensity Pro but not able to switch PAL and NTSC in TV OUT settings to get a correct input. TV OUT setting doesn't appear.

I get this error when trying to access my Wild Tree web site

This can be done easily with ethernet.
Please follow the instructions strictly.
To make it easier I want you to do this overnight so you can turn off all your current connection to the internet.
Just go to the airport fan in to the top right and turn airport off.
Get ethernet cable and connect the laptop to the TC lan port.. ie <-> ones.
Press and hold the reset on the TC for about 10sec. until the front led flashes rapidly.
Open the airport utility.. go to manual setup and change the wireless to off. (so other people around you cannot join your network of one).
Ignore all the errors.. they won't stop the backup working.
Go to the TM and reselect the backup target disk as the TC.
It should start after 2min and run through to completion.
That is it.. for a backup of many GB it might take a few hours.. so make sure the laptop has power plugged in and the sleep is off.. (on early ones I think this is needed but I am a late arrival to the scene).. sleep doesn't affect later OS.

Netbeans not running under root user

I noticed that after installing Netbeans under user 'root', I'm able to use it under my user account, but it doesn't launch when I'm logged in as root. I'm running Arch x86_64 with XFCE in VirtualBox. Everything else works, including:
Firefox
Pidgin
Eclipse
SRWare Iron browser
It's not a big problem but when I'm logged in under my user account I can't install new plugins from inside Netbeans.
I tried running it from the command line but nothing happens, including when I try "sh netbeans -verbose".
I"m curious why I'm unable to start Netbeans when I'm logged in as root. Has anyone else experienced this?

Maybe you should reinstall it "as user" if you're experiencing problems with plugins installation.
Edit: IIRC you can use xhost to let root run GUI apps.

We have two users that access the same mailbox but want separate user profiles when they respond to e-mails.

We have two users who want to use the same inbox. For example, when one user sends an e mail, it appears to be from the other user. We want to change this situation. How can we make that happen?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

Is possible to save the user that uses the download action in an interactive report.

In my application I want to save who is downloading the interactive reports information in any format, is it possible?

As far as I know there is not an out of the box option that shows you the user that is downloading the interactive report. I guess you would have to write your own logic for that.
You can create your own logging table and a dynamic action with
1) a pl/sql procedure to insert the logging into the table, and
2) submits the page with the appropriate download format, eg. f?p=&APP_ID.:&APP_PAGE_ID.:&SESSION_ID.:CSV::::
As trigger of the dynamic action you need to use either of the download buttons, so I'd suggest the jQuery selector "#apexir_dl*"
