Podcasts and Quick Links

I just redid my library, and now my podcast quick links (the arrows), open up the actual webpages instead of going to the podcast on iTunes. How can I reset it so the links go back to iTunes?

I don't have an answer to this, but my podcast has failed to appear at all in iTunes after receiving an email to say it will be approved.

I have sent an email directly to iTunes Store Support but received no reply, and the situation has not changed.
Lousy support when we try to notify iTunes of legitimate errors and they sit on their hands.

Upgraded Firefox, where is all my saved tabs (buttons) and quick links?

I upgraded to a new version of Firefox, supposedly to make it run faster, but why do I have to spend an hour setting up my home page again? I didn't save my buttons to favorites because, well I had the buttons.Why can't I just get the improvements without having to start over?

This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

If possible you need to upgrade OS X. However, what you can upgrade to is dependent on what your Mac hardware and configuration is which you have not provided in your profile.

SLD installation - easy and quick configuration to activate the SLD

Dear All,
I am installing a SLD in a separate server, base on AS-JAVA usage type.
I am reading guide from http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-sld.
After installing the SLD, I read that "You only have to perform the easy and quick configuration to activate the system landscape directory there. No further installation required, only quick configuration to activate SLD in a system."
My question :
Is there a guide to perform the easy and quick configuration" ?

Hello,
When you define iit as SLD in the installation phase it should come as preconfigured.
All you need to do is check whether things are active and bring the system to latest CIM.
Then start adding other system to this new SLD as per standard method.
Once you finish the installation of the system http://hostname:5<instance number>00/sld needs to be run.
Check if that URL is active and in administration link check if the SLD is running.
That should be it.

Assuming you are running OS X 10.6.6 or later (10.7.x Lion, 10.8.x Mountain Lion or 10.9.x Mavericks), go to the Apple Menu (top left-hand corner of the screen)>App Store and it should become clear from there.

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.

You must have a minimum of OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 installed on your Mac to have the Mac App Store. The Quick Links are on the Featured pane.

How do I get music I've purchased in past, and it is not in my purchased quick links, since down loading and installing iOS 5, apple support told me to restore as new and everything would be restored!!!! And it did not. This was for my I phone 4

Music is NOT part of the iPhone backup process. It would be redundant and make the backups very large and take too much time. Music should already exist in your iTunes library. If you're syncing on a regular basis, purchased items should be copied to iTunes automatically. If they are not, you can use File>Transfer Purchases in iTunes to transfer them.
Go into your account in iTunes. You may be able to re-download purchased music from there. It is not possible to do so in every country yet. Backing up your media is your responsibility.

I had a quick links bar with several sites that I use on a daily basis, it is now missing and I need to find where it went?

I had a quick links bar that contained several of my daily sites. Today I opened Firefox and that bar is no longer there. I have tried to find it under the "View" tab but nothing exists. Where did it go and how do I bring it back?

If it was the Bookmarks toolbar and it's no longer visible, you can make it visible by going into ''View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar''.
If the Bookmarks toolbar is visible but no bookmarks are displayed, go into ''Bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar'' and see if there's anything inside it. If there is, go into ''View > Toolbars > Customize... > Restore default set'', to restore your interface buttons to their default postion. If there is nothing inside ''Bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar'', something deleted what was inside it. You should be able to restore your bookmarks by going into ''Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks... > Import and Backup > Restore''.
If none of this helps, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
You might also try signing out of itunes and back in (Settings App > itunes & App Store)

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

If I reset my PC to factory settings and I delete my TV Show files, can I retrieve my shows under the Purchased quick link or the Cloud?

That's my question. I want to know because I'm a novice and know nothing of Apple in general and so I don't need to back up my shows on a USB and waste space.

If you Purchased the TV Shows via iTunes, and your country allows you to re-download past purchases, then you would be able to re-download them from the Purchased under Quick Links:
