Configure content presenter within webcenter spaces

Hi everybody,
I want to display content in webcenter based on current local.
For exemple: if the corrent local is en, the content presenter should display files which the name contains "_en".
How can I do that either by customizing the content presenter taskflow or by creating a new template.

Edit option not enabled for workflow content from within Content Presenter in Webcenter Spaces

I have a webcenter spaces portal page with a content presenter displaying a html page using the default out of the box template. The html page is located in webcenter content / UCM under a folder on which the " All Reviewer" seeded workflow is enabled. The issue i am seeing is when the file is in workflow the edit option is not being enabled even though the reviewer should be able to edit/approve the content in this step. The other functions like workflow approve or reject and switching between workflow version and published version are all enabled. Also when rejected the content does not show edit option from the content presenter (cntrl-C option) for the original author to make any updates.
What would need to be done to enable editing from within the content presenter for workflow content?

We are using WCP 11.1.1.8.5
To recreate the issue
1) Login to WCC Portal: Spaces as admin user , create a New Page under a webcenter spaces portal
2) Under the space , Pages Section , select the page and click edit
3) In Design mode , choose Content Management and Add Document Explorer and Add Content Presenter on the page
4) The Document Explorer will default to the Current Space/portal directory under MyWebcenterSpaces in UCM
5) Create a directory "content" under the Portal space using the document explorer.
6) Right Click on Content folder and choose details. In Details view , go to File->workflow settings and pick a seeded workflow -> MyWCSAllReviewer. Add a user as workflow approver
7) After workflow is enabled on this folder upload a basic html page with simple text into this folder
8) Now in the design mode choose edit in the content presenter and select the "single content view" with default template to display an Image or HTML. Click browse and select the html that was added to workflow
9) Save the Page and view the portal. Workflow should now be enabled for any content changes to that html page.
10) Click Cntrl-shift-c in portal/space as an authenticated user with edit access to content and make an edit to content , this will trigger worklow . The author currently will see edit option get disabled once content enters workflow
11) Login as approver to the portal and cntrl-shift-C to the portal and workflow options(approve and reject) are enabled but the edit option is not. If you reject content , the author should be able to edit content in the content presenter mode, this also is not available. The issue is the content is now no longer available for editing from wthin content presenter if it is in workflow to either the approver or the original author depending on workflow step. If you check the same content under the document explorer the option to edit is enabled. Is this a bug /issue with content Presenter or some option needs enabled?

Content Presenter error in Spaces

Hi all
From Spaces, when I select the button "Create Web Content" for a single content item through the Content Presenter Configuration wizard I receive an error message "This placeholder is restricted, but no region definitions have been specified."
Can anyone shed any light on what this means, and what I have to do to get past it?
I have the content server linked appropriately with Spaces, and the documents service works just fine (I can select content to add to the page) and I have enabled WebCenter Configure in the CS component manager. Oh and adfAuthenticator is set so identity propogation from WC and CS is established.

I am not sure if this will help, but... I have used the content presenter a number of times in a webcenter spaces app and typically, when I am editing or creating a page, I go into the page editor and click on Add Content. I drill down to the actual document I want to include, as opposed to including the Content Presenter. Once I find the document I want, I click add (on the right). A small popup menu appears which, among other controls, includes the "content Presenter". I select that and from there all goes well. The Content presenter appears in my page editor session with the document that I selected.

Content Server in WebCenter Spaces 11g

Hi,
I configured both WebCenter 11g and Oracle Content Server to use OID. I created a connection in WebCenter using CIS Type as Socket and gave the hostname/port along with other settings but in WebCenter Spaces I still can't see the repository and it it says Document Service is unavailable. Any idea what might be missing as I followed the documentation but it's not very clear.

Yes it is Spaces and the connection is configured on Enterprise Manager. I manage to solve the issue as I didnot create any Roles in Content Server for the Groups that exists in Active Directory. But this in-turn started giving other errors that I am not able to figure out.
Now when I log in with any Active Directory user into WebCenter Spaces and try to include a Document Service it gives me the below errr:
OracleJSP error: java.io.FileNotFoundException: <p> Set the init-param <code> debug_mode</code> to "true" to see the complete exception message.Now if I log-in with weblogic user that is not part of Active Directory it does let me add the Document Service can upload documents etc. but won't let me create the pages while creating page it says user weblogic doesnot exist. So basically wit active directry users I can create page but not use document service and with weblogic user it's the other way round. Any ideas what I am doing wrong as the documentation is not even clear either and how can i solve this issue.
Is there any good document out there that does explain all this.

How to add Content workflow to Webcenter spaces/ custom application

I would like to add Content work-flows ( Add - review - publish of content) to Webcenter spaces.so that users of Spaces/ application can work with add- publish-review cycle. I want to know if any thing like portlet or something available that can be added.
I have a webcenter 11g associated with OCS 10.1.3. Does the suites Content Portlet Suite/Content Integration Suite contain these workflows? Please help me in this regard thanks.

Yes. it is the same way. once the Portletsuite is integrated you can create a workflow in Oracle conent server using Workflow Manager Applet. Extenal Identity store needs to be configured.
But I have some problem with webcenter spaces users on external Ldap server. In contribution checkout step ,I am not getting the checkout link. i am getting exception like "not suffient privilage".
But the workflow seems to work fine in idc application.

Before going through the link I would like to know how to get content from ucms from specifying a query rather than getting from the entire folder.
Yes I am aware similar to the folder option you can specify a query but need help on writing a query and what parameters need to be mentioned in the query.
One more doumb question about where content presenter taskflow is present in the jdev so that I can drag and drop on my portal page.

You will need to write code of your own. A good starting point is here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/apirefs.1111/e15995/toc.htm (search for the class SpacesManager, method getUserSpacesNamesList)
Note that most likely you will not want to display all spaces, unless you are absolutely sure that the list will not exceed some reasonable amount in all cases - otherwise, it might be quite user-unfriendly.

Webcenter Spaces - Making page within 'Private' space accessible to public

Hi,
I have create a space within Webcenter Spaces, and set it as a private space. This space is a sub-space of another space which has been set to public.
Within this space, I have create a new "Home" page (which will be the first page that is visible when a user accesses the space).
I have changed the page access method on this page from "Use Application Permissions" to "Use Custom Access settings", and then clicked the "Add Public access Link",
similar to what can be seen in this image:

I assume that this should make the page visible to non authenticated users, but when I try to access this space via the DIRECT URL to the space or page (without being logged in), I am redirected to the login page.
I though that this was how it was supposed to work? That you can expose a page within a private space, to public users?

I know the above is old documentation, but the newer doco doesn't explain it quite as well.
I am really trying to understand what actually happens when you "Add Public Access" to a page? What does this functionality do?
Or...is there another way I can accomplish this task? I know I can change the space role to give them extra permissions to "View Pages", but I don't want my public users to view ALL the pages in the space (because for example, if they can see the "Discussions" page, but then click on it and don't have access to discussions, it is not a very elegant solution). Ideally I want the users to just see the home page which will just have a description about the space, and if they are interested, then they can join.

first of all, this is a wrong forum. You should have used this one: WebCenter Portal
Second, I think the key sentence is:
Private (Space): People can discover this Space in search results and in the list of available Spaces, and can subscribe to it if invited to join or if self-subscription is enabled.
I'm wondering how do you expect non-authenticated users (thus, not-invited) to access a page, if they cannot see even the space? By space's and page's pretty URL? I'm not sure, but I can guess the system is not designed that way.

How to display embedded image & text in content presenter web template

We have a requirement to display both text and embedded image together like in WYSIWYG editor in Webcenter spaces. The content has to be dynamic and is context sensitive so that users in the same role can edit and publish the content. The users who are in different role would see different piece of content.
To achieve this use case, i think Content Presenter enabled with Site studio is the best choice. I have created element and region definitions with WYSIWYG and region templates in site studio. Created contributor data file in UCM. Content Presenter in webcenter is configured with that region definition and the region template etc.
At design time, the contributor data file is edited and some image / text is added in WYSIWYG editor.. But however at runtime view, i could see only the text added in WYSIWYG editor and the file name of the image embedded....Any one successfully used Content Presenter with Site studio???

ACL - ILS (Item Level Security) for Content Server & WebCenter Spaces

We're trying to implement Item Level Security (ILS / ACL) for Webcenter spaces. We're following the instructions from the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle WebCenter 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/webcenter.1111/e12405.pdf
After making the configuration changes, we're unable to see the "Security" option from the "File" menu in the Document explorer. Has anyone else implemented this feature and ran into similar issues?
I made the following configuration changes:
UseEntitySecurity=1
SpecialAuthGroups=SecurityGroups (comma separated list with no spaces and the application name is included)
CS: Version:11gR1-11.1.1.5.0
DB: 11.2.0.2.0 ---Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition
WebCenter: 11.1.1.4.0 (in a clustered environment)
Also, we're looking at the document properties in webcenter spaces via document explorer and do not see the "security group" or "accounts" metadata fields. We can see the "Content ID" and a whole bunch of fields and do not see "security groups" and "accounts". However, when we log into the content server and look at the folder or file "info" we can clearly see the security group and account values...not sure what is required to make these two fields show up in webcenter spaces.

When you say the security and account field are not displayed , is that when viewing the content or during update ?
When the ACL features are turned off do you see the above fields ?

I have created an html file which loads the flash file and checked in to the UCM server. I have added a content presenter on the page runtime and selected the html file as the content.
Now when I load the page, I couldnot see the content. The content gets displayed on the page once I login to the UCM server and refresh the webcenter page.
Please suggest the solution. I am working with Avitek Demo VM. I have stored the file in the public_images folder.

You need to assign application (spaces) role "Administrator" to your user for Admin link to see (by default weblogic user is assigned to this role)
To add it
Login to Fusion Middleware Control -> WebCenter -> WebCenter Spaces -> Right Click on WebCenter -> Security -> Application Role
Add your user to role “Administrator”

After installing and configuring UCM, then WebCenter Spaces, the startup of WebCenter should create a content folder in UCM. However the connectivity between WebCenter and UCM causes an error in the log files:

It turns out, the "Intradoc ServerPort" was not set in UCM. In Enterprise Manager: Content Server: Oracle Universal Content Management: Configuration, it was blank. As soon as I set this to "4444" and restarted it fixed this error.

Webcenter Portal and UCM - Content Presenter Error

Hello,
I get an error while I'm adding a Content Presenter over the default resource catalog of my webcenter portal application and try to create content.
When pressing the create content button a new browserpage opens and after beeing logged in to the Content Server the cs/resources/wcm/custom/sitestudio/contentwizard/webcenter/contentwizard.hcsp is called and this error message appears as an alert:
"*this placeholder is restricted, but no region definitions have been specified*"

Looks like the configuration of UCM (SSXA) is not completed in your system. Take a look at this manual http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e13650/toc.htm to understand the relationship between region definitions and placeholders. Note that Content Presenter is just a client here (it's a matter of WebCenter Content configuration).
