Configure cRIO Network Settings w/o LabVIEW

All,
Does anyone know of any utility software I can use to configure the network settings of a cRIO without LabVIEW or DAQmx? If not is there some sort of minimal MAX install that can be used to configure it? The last time I tried configuring a cRIO's network settings from a computer without LabVIEW took GBs of downloads to get it to work.

Hello xkenneth86,
there actually is no stand-alone installation of MAX, but you can get the latest version by downloading any of the NI drivers, such as NI-DAQmx or NI-VISA, or by downloading NI System Configuration.
I believe the NI System Configuration package is the smallest, it includes NI Network Browser 1.1.0, NI System Configuration 1.1.2 and NI Measurement & Automation Explorer 4.7.2. Please note that this is not the latest version of MAX.
You can download the  NI System Configuration package from this page, also please take a look at this page for further details.

  • TS1819 Mac OS X 10.7.4. How do I configure my network settings so I don't have to enter the password to my wireless router every time I start up or come back from sleep mode?

When I first got my MacBook Pro my wireless network at home (Linksys Wireless Router) popped right up and I entered the password and had no problems automatically connected after that. I went to a friends house this weekend who also has a wireless router named Linksys, obviously with a different password. My questions is what caused this to happen and how do I reconfigure my network settings so that I don't have to re-enter my password all the time?

  • Can I configure my network settings to use two different proxy configurations?

At work, I have a proxy server, but away I do not.  I would like the correct proxy settings to load in each case.  Currently, I use two different locations.  This works acceptably, but I have to open my network settings and manually switch locations when my location changes.  I have experimented with creating multiple ethernet ports.  I can create a location with two ethernet ports, but I can't find a way to cause the correct one to activate.  The first port in the search order is loaded even if the proxy is not found.
Please let me know if you can help with this.  Thank you.

I'm not sure of another way to do what you want, but there should be a Location menu in the Apple menu. You don't need to open the network prefs to change locations.

  • Trying to use HPLJ 1102w as a wired network printer. How do you configure the network settings?

I have an HPLJ 1102W and I want to use it as a wired printer on my LAN. The trouble is, the easy setup utility is geared toward wireless networking and the ethernet interface will not get a DHCP address from the LAN. In order to get an IP address, I have to go through the wireless networking configuration settings. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to use this printer as a wired network printer?
    thanks,

    Hi,
The HP LaserJet P1102w provide USB or wireless network interface only.
the product do not include any ethernet card, as you may also find by its spesification System Requirements below:

  • Configure Network Settings. DHCP is used unless otherwise specified

    Hello
I have created a task sequence that is used in multiple domains.
In one domain DHCP is not configured and we need to use the "Bootable media that uses the Configmr infrastructure".
This bootable media is running fine when DHCP is enabled.
However, when I configure the network settings Manual in WINPE the client
can connect to the SCCM server.
After SCCM applies the OS image and reboots the network settings are gone and the Task Sequence crashes.
Is there a simple way to transfer the network settings from WINPE to the OS?

I usually use ZTINICConfig.wsf of MDT
to capture those network settings. That means that I add the following two steps to my task sequence:
    A Use Toolkit Package step, to copy the MDT package;
    A
Run Command Line step, with the command %Scriptroot%\ZTINICConfig.wsf /ForceCapture, to capture the network settings.

  • TCP/IP Networking settings

Can anyone advise where are the TCP/IP network settings (IP address, DNS server etc) on the Nokia N95. I've connected to my home wireless network but I can't do anything with the connection until I've configured the network settings. There is no DHCP on the router to deliver and IP address to the phone.

    Linux fedora core1 kernel 2.4.20-20.9
    LabVIEW 6.1
As user, when I run the client : general error on openconnection. I switch as root (using su - ) the client is working. If I go back to user (exit from root), the same error.

  • Ekiga network settings error (port forwarding)

I've been haunted by this error since I started using Ekiga and have never figured out how to get it to go away...
Ekiga did not manage to configure your network settings automatically. You can still use it, but you need to configure your network settings manually.
    Please see http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Enable_ … g_manually for instructions.
maybe I'm just slow, but when I go to that page, I don't seem to be able to find what the error is referring to for fixing this issue.  Ekiga itself seems to work fine for fairly long periods of time, but it does randomly stop taking/sending calls, so I'm guessing this is the reason why it does that.  Could someone PLEASE explain to me what I am missing or failing to understand...?

I'm getting this problem now....  can't seem to get it to connect..
Its the exact same message, the funny thing is when i installed/used ekiga last week, it worked.... this week it doesn't for whatever reason, i've even set this computer as the dmz on the router... still nothing...
is anyone else having this problem, i'm bewildered
    hmm, if i run ekiga -d 4 2>&1 | grep STUN
    i get:
2011/06/03 14:58:25.030      0:06.320    StunDetector:0xb314fb70    STUN    Poll of secondary server 216.93.246.17:3479 failed, NAT partially blocked by firwall rules.

but i've changed all the settings on the router.... it shouldn't be blocking me in any way...; i've tried the wiki's port forwarding setup, i've tried changing the mtu on the router, turned off nat, set this comp as the dmz, etc; it just won't work, so it must be a local problem? (it worked when i first installed it a week or two ago w/ no config)

  • WAE-674 not retaining network settings when configured using recovery CD

    WAE-674 Issues
Here is the story so far:
Disks crashed. Installed new disks. Inserted the recovery CD. wiped disks and installed .bin image. tried to configure network settings. No error message but interface settings did not stick. I am 100% positive that the network settings were correct. cannot connect to the device via telnet. Can see the device with CDP but no IP address configured.

Could I be having these issues because I am using a monitor and keyboard not a console cable?
Old style console cable not available. equipment is difficult to procure because I'm in the middle of nowhere.
Could the issues be because of the 64bit architecture of WAE-674 i.e could I be using the wrong recovery disk?
Attached are images of the device booting when recovery CD is not inside the device.

    Hi Kristof,
The problem is that as soon as the serial port becomes active, the device stops displaying the output to the screen/keyboard so you'll really need an "old style" console cable to see what is really happening with your device.
    More info: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/wae/installation/7341-7371/guide/7341gd/7300intr.html#wp1040804
You can connect a keyboard to any USB port and connect a monitor to the video connector to troubleshoot the BIOS boot process. However, video output is for troubleshooting only during the BIOS boot process. The video output stops displaying when the serial port becomes active. To monitor the boot process in normal operation, use the serial console port.
The Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) connector is not supported.
The systems-management Ethernet connector is not supported.

  • Network Settings: Configure IPv6, On or Off?

    Hello everyone.
A while back I read on MacFixIt that some experience slowness in internet connection after 10.4.5 update, and it suggested turning 'off' the IPv6 setting inside the Network settings, found at the bottom of it.
I was curious and click the button to find my 'Configure IPv6' was set to 'Automatic'.
In any case, I did not experience any drastic change in the speed of my internet connection after the 10.4.5 update; and I actually turn off my IPv6 setting, which again no so much drastic change in speed.
So the question is: Should I leave it on at 'Automatic' or turn it off?
Info: My iMac is connected directly (wired) to my cable modem.
    Thanks and cheers

I've tried it on & off & didn't notice any difference at all.
But - if you need to use stuffit expander - it'll crash on starting stuffit unless IPv6 is enabled. found that on stuffits forum after wondering why it suddenly wouldn't work.

  • Configure network settings on clients

Well I've finally tracked down a very annoying problem with using aiport and network logins. I'm looking to find a way to create a new network location and its settings for aiport for all the clients with a shell script. I haven't been able to find any plist or unix utility that would let me create a location, or edit the current location such that:
aiport is the only enabled port
    choose to join preferred network
choose to auto join and open network
I'm really hoping not to have to do these steps 60 times in the UI.

  • Network settings tab is blank

    Hi,
I have connected a Compact Rio 9068 directly to my computer (HP EliteBook 840 G1, Windows 7), and the system appears in the tree under Remote systems in MAX. However, the problem is that I can only see information under the System Settings tab, while the Network Settings tab is entirely empty (blank white page). I have tried to refresh and re-boot, log in as admin, but it doesn't help. I assume that I have to change some network settings on my computer but I do not know which and still think it is strange that nothing at all appears under this tab.The windows firewall is set to accept NI MAX for both office/home and open networks. Can anybody help? Below you see how it looks in MAX for the two tabs.
    Regards,
    Gloria
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Klas,
and thank you for your thorough response. But the network settings are still not visible.
I have checked both local and wired network to obtain IP adress automatically for TCP/IPv4, these settings were already default automatic so I did not change this. I've also deactivated the windows firewall completely. I can not find any other firewalls, have McAfee protection installed without firewall. The IP adress range stays the same under System Settings.
When I look at my networks in the cmd window, the information in the figure below is shown, (unfortunately in swedish), but the upper network is the primary wireless connection and the lower is Ethernet to local network connection. Both say that DHCP is active, is this correct? My computer is standing alone with direct connection to cRIO port 1 and wireless access to a network (hib.no) at my work place is active, should I turn all wireless connections off? I have deactivated by pressing the wireless button on my keyboard, so that it says "not connected" to the wireless network in the cmd window, but it does not change anything in MAX.
The latest Labview version and Real-time module is installed from NI download webpages, Real time module is also shown when looking in the software tree in MAX (see figure below).
I have followed the steps given on the NI support pages without any problems until I get to the network settings:
    http://www.ni.com/getting-started/install-software/compactrio.
Also, I power off the cRio and restart my computer, and refresh in MAX between all steps that I try.
    Kind regards,
    Gloria

  • "Network settings have be changed by another application" stuck in loops

I have the exact problem as others with Network System Preferences saying that the settings have been changed by another application. The message goes into a loop that can only be stopped with a Force Quit of the Preferences. I also have the Airport not connecting at start-up without choosing the Network Name from the Airport Pull down menu. I also think it may have started with the last Security upgrade and Java upgrade. I have used the airport utility to reconfig the base station. I discovered a system keychain with a password for the airport that my normal passwords would not open to show what it's password was. I have done many disk permissions and verifications. Any ideas? I would think if this is a Security update error, that Apple would be aware of it by now and post a repair. I have followed some threads on this issue but would rather wait for an Apple fix. There appears to be no way to contact Apple in customer support.

A Fix for "Your network preferences have been changed by another application" Error
In the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder delete the following:
    com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    NetworkInterfaces.plist
    preferences.plist
    com.apple.nat.plist
You will have to re-configure all your network settings since deleting these files will cause them to be returned to defaults.

  • I have recently unlocked my iPhone 4. I got the comforation saying it was unlocked. For some reason I cannot access my network settings? Any suggestions. I am trying to use the phone on Net 10 network.

I recently unlocked my iphone 4. I am trying to use it on Net 10's network. However, i cannot access the network settings. I have the Net10 Sim already in it. A few notes listed below of what i have tried:
1.) I downloaded the iphone configuation utility. But  cannot get the right settings to apply. (so if you have the correct ones i could use those)
2.) i have watched 1000 youtube videos and been on practically every page online and tried 1000 different versions of APN settings through the configuration
3.) I do not have another SIM card from another carrier to try.
Open to suggestions on how i can get the APN settings to change. Not worried about picture messaging or anything, but would like my internet to work. Calls and text work fine.

i have seen this option..problem being...i dont have access to WIFI i live in the middle of ten buck too! We cant even get internet out here i have to go a friend house to get internet. I was going to try that once i did get to town but was looking for other options here at home frist.
