Configure Help Of "Start Process" iview of HCM  in order to search by name

Hi ,
   I need to configure "Start Process" of HCM forms for HR Administrators  . I want to search the employees by name not by  pernr. I  tried to configure it by SPRO (Personnel Management> HR Administrator>HR Administrator>Configure Employee Search for Different User Groups->Configure Employee Search for Different User Groups) .
But no changes was reflected in iview.
Please tell me the how to configure the search?
Also Can  I search all employees of organization  by name  through OADP configuration ? Remember HR Adminstrator is not chief person of organization but he should be able to run HCM forms for any employees.

1. What version are you on?!
    If you want to search by a name, it is much like PA20/30. In the field for "Employee" where you are putting PERNR, simply put in the string of the name (or part of) that you are lookng for. If you know only part of the name, use the wildcard. So for instance, if I put "Smi*" into that box, it will bring back all employees with "Smi" in there name. It works VERY well and requires NO additional work. I am guessing you aren't putting a wildcard in there.

  • Adobe HCM Processes and Forms Start processes iView error

    Hi,
    We are implementing Adobe HCM processes. The forms based on the PCR technology are working fine. However, we want the new HCM Processes and Forms technology. We have implemented Business packages for MSS, HR Administrator and XSS (PC_GUI). ADS is configured correctly as the PCR Adobe forms are working fine.
    We want to use the WebDynpro version of HCMPF and NOT the ABAP version. When starting the Start Processes IView (sap.com/paasrprocst) we get the error:

  • MSS Start Process iView

    Hi,
        Can we skip the first step "Employee Selection" and move directly to the "Process Selection" in the "Start Process" iview with MSS 1.0.
    If this can be done, Can you please let me know how to skip the Employee selection step.

  • Creating Start Process in ESS - HCM forms and Processes

    Hi Guys,
    Please educate me on how to create a start process in ESS side, I tried copying the iView from Specialist folder(HR Admin and Manager) and pasting it in ESS personal information folder, but it doesn't seem to work. it would be great if some one can help me out in this regards. Thanks very much
    Regards,

    Hey Aakash,
    Follow this path inside the IMG:
    Personnel Management -> HR Administrative Services -> Configuration of Forms/Processes -> Process Configuration -> Set Up Processes -> Validity of Process Start -> Specify Valid Processes for Start Applications
    In here, you select the role that you want to assign your scenario to.  If you want to view the current roles available, under Set Up Processes, run the Determine Processor Roles transaction.
    Hope this helps...
    Cheers,

    I am getting a similar message ...

    I have also added the path of libpassthrough.so in LD_LIBRARY_PATH .
    What can be the reason now ?
    I had downloaded SP4. Does my webserver(sunone 6.1) also needs an update of service pack 4 then ? (It was installed about 2 months ago).

  • Cache issue coming in Start Process for Employee iView under MSS

    Hi,
    Navigate to MSS -> Team -> HCM Process and Forms -> Start Process for Employee
    In Start Process for Employee iView, when I clicks on Refresh link at the bottom right of the table the Direct Reports got removed from the table (which is correct) but when I navigates to some other screen and comes back then again the previous data comes back. It seems to be cache level issue. Even I logs off and login the same data comes back which should not happen.
    I have checked the forum [Team=>Personnel Developent=>Employee Search; and found it that Refesh property will work if I set the parameter of iview Cache Lifetime = -1 then it will disable the caching at all.
    And I wants the same behaviour for Start Process for Employee iView. But I am not able to find the similar property in Start Process for Employee iView.
    Anyone have an idea of What is the resolution for this issue?
    Regards,
    Deep

    Hi Deep,
    now I understand your problem )
    To me it sounds like an OADP cache issue rather than one in Portal. The iview uses OADP which again uses the cache which does not reflect on the actual current org-structure.
    One possibility would be enhancing the WD4A and call FMs
    HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_TGTOBJCACHE
    HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_SRCHOBJCACHE
    HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_NAVOBJCACHE
    HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_DATAVWCACHE
    dependent on what you want to delete to refresh.
    I would probably try to enhance HookMethod WDDOINIT in Component Controller and call them there, but that's just a guess; could be complete nonesense.
    Another possibility would be trying to add the application parameter "sap.xss.req.crt.cachelifetime=0" to the iView.

  • Help in Event that  start process chain

    Hi,
    i use the Fm Below to start process chain but its not working What can be the problem?
    Regards

       RAISE_FAILED                 = 4
       OTHERS                       = 5

    Hi,
    may be you should check your authority. May be you are not allowed to run/schedule a program/chain in background.
    regards

    PS: do a new activation and scheduling of the chain. goto sm37 afterwards and check the processes BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER. There must be at least one waiting for your event.

  • Process chain: manual data change as start process?

    Hi,
    i have two BWs in which i hold identical InfoObjects (master data). now i want to use a process chain to transfer any changes made to the data in BW X into that object in BW Y.
    is it possible to use manual changes of this master data as a start process for the process chain? i only saw the possibility to use InfoPackages and so on. but my process chain should just be triggered by a manual change in the master data attributes.
    how do i configure an event as a trigger for the process chain? i do not see the purpose of a start process because i do not see how i can link it with an event...

    Hi Ram,
    i hope I understood everything right.
    the table that you called "ztest1" I replaced with /BIC/PVCOM1_U02. That is the copy of the master data from the remote system.
    The table in the local system, with which we compare the table /BIC/PVCOM1_U02, has the name /BIC/PVCOM1.
    The name of the event I created is called "VCOM_DATA_CHANGE".
    And here it goes...
    ****************BEGIN OF PROGRAM**********
    *& Report Z_EVENT_DATA_CHANGE
    REPORT Z_EVENT_DATA_CHANGE.
    /BIC/PVCOM1_U02 is the table copied from the remote system
    /BIC/PVCOM1 is the table containing the master data on the current system
    tables: /BIC/PVCOM1_U02, /BIC/PVCOM1.
    data: zrec_old(15), zrec_new(15) type c.
    data: ztest_old type /BIC/PVCOM1_U02 occurs 10 with header line,
    ztest_new type /BIC/PVCOM1 occurs 10 with header line.
    select * from /BIC/PVCOM1_U02 into TABLE ztest_old.
    zrec_old = sy-dbcnt.
    select * from /BIC/PVCOM1 into TABLE ztest_new
    where OBJVERS = 'A'.
    zrec_new = sy-dbcnt.
    if i understood correctly, we sort the tables by field names
    so i replaced CURRENCY and ANSALARY by /BIC/PVCOM2_U02, which is the only field in my table beside /BIC/PVCOM1_U02
    sort ztest_old by /BIC/ZTEST1 CURRENCY ANSALARY.
    sort ztest_old by /BIC/PVCOM1_02 /BIC/PVCOM2_U02.
    sort ztest_new by /BIC/PVCOM1 /BIS/PVCOM2.
    if zrec_old <> zrec_new.
    perform event_raise.
    else.
    loop at ztest_new.
    read table ztest_old with key
    /BIC/PVCOM1_U02 = ztest_new-/BIC/PVCOM1  "dot missing?
    /BIC/PVCOM2_U02 = ztest_new-/BIC/PVCOM2.
    if sy-subrc <> 0.
    perform event_raise.
    endif.
    endloop.
    endif.
    *& Form event_raise
    text
    --> p1 text
    <-- p2 text
    FORM event_raise .
    CALL FUNCTION 'BP_EVENT_RAISE'

    EVENTPARM = ' '
    TARGET_INSTANCE = ' '

    EVENTID_DOES_NOT_EXIST = 2
    EVENTID_MISSING = 3
    RAISE_FAILED = 4
    OTHERS = 5.
    IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    loop at ztest_new.
    move-corresponding ztest_new to /BIC/PVCOM1_U02.
    modify /BIC/PVCOM1_U02.
    commit work.
    endloop.
    LEAVE PROGRAM.
    ENDFORM. " event_raise
    ****************END OF PROGRAM**********
    Thanks for helping me again.
    I will now find out, how two implement and schedule this program. And how to run the process chain based on that event.

  • Help with frozen process, retry delay and transaction rolled back

    Hi all,
    </br>
    </br>
    Is there a way to create a JPD that will be able to retry a specific logic for several times with <b>delay</b> in between and <b>freeze</b> on the last retry. Also, at the same time, <b>not rollback</b> any database commits?
    </br>
    </br>
    I have tried several ways to approach this but did not work.
    </br>
    </br>
    1) create a JPD with transaction block with start node = "<b>freeze on failure</b>". Set retry count and delay in the transaction block. The outcome is, the JPD freezes, retries correctly, unfreezed properly, <b>but all DB transactions are rolled back</b>
    </br>
    </br>
    2) create a JPD without transaction block, and set start node with "<b>freeze on failure</b>", group the nodes that I would like to perform retry and in the <b>exception path</b> add in the retry count. Use <b>timer</b> in the exception path to introduct the delay. The outcome of this is: JPD freezes, retries correctly, <b>unfreezed INCORRECTLY</b> (when trying to unfreeze this process, it will start at the ontimeout method of the timer and does not start from the beginning of the jpd), DB transactions are commited correctly
    </br>
    </br>
    Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated...
    </br>
    Thanks!
    </br>
    </br>
    Carol

    The issue may be due to the transaction timeout, verify the configured timeouts and the processing time of the process B.
    Try increasing Sync Max Time Out and the other timeouts accordingly and test it.
    Refer the below URL for the details of configuring the timeouts.

    Since shorewall 4.6.2.5 the 'interfaces' file of the Universal configuration doesn't work anymore:
    août 19 16:14:09 arch64 shorewall[572]: Shorewall configuration compiled to /var/lib/shorewall/.start

    août 19 16:14:10 arch64 systemd[1]: Unit shorewall.service entered failed state.
    The compiling stage worked but the generated script didn't.
    I identified the problem to be the usage of the '+' wildcard character in the 'physical' option value of the 'interfaces' file:
    #ZONE INTERFACE OPTIONS
    - lo ignore
    net all dhcp,physical=+,routeback,optional
    As I have only one interface 'eth0', I don't need to use a wildcard character and the 'all' value, so I changed the file to:
    #ZONE INTERFACE OPTIONS
    - lo ignore
    net eth0 dhcp,routeback,optional
    And the firewall works again after that change.
    It's certainly a regression bug introduced in the new releases.
    I changed the title of the thread
    from:
    Newly installed shorewall fails to start
    to:
    shorewall Universal configuration fails to start

  • BPM Start Process

    We have scenario(file to file) where we get multiple files and is merged using BPM, transformed and sent to the receiver. We have file This is a time based collection. Incoming file adapter is set to poll every 30 sec, and the block in BPM timeout in 2 mins ( for testing purpose).
    The BPM receive step (inside the loop) has the start process turned on. The expected behaviour was to receive all files in one instance of BPM and send the merged one out.
    It is spawning the multiple BPM instance based on number of files in the sender file adapter. My guess is it is doing this since we have the start process on receive step and for each receive it is starting a new process. How do we eliminate this to have only one instance start as I am not finding any other step prior to receive ( block , and loop) where I can start the process.
    Any help is appericiated.
    Thanks,
    Samir

    1. If you want to merge the same file format , Use "Loop" step before "Recevie" step. Put some deadline branch , which will ensure your time limit.
    This would resolve your problem.
    2. If you want to merge different file format , you need to have multiple "Receive" steps and for that you need to use the "Fork" step.
    Let me know if you still find any problem.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Dijesh Tanna.

  • How to Install, Configure and getting started with Hyperion Web Analyzer9

    i have installed both
    Hyperion Reporting and Analysis - System 9 Services Release 9.3.1 Microsoft Windows x86 Installer.
    Hyperion Reporting and Analysis - System 9 UI Services Release 9.3.1 Microsoft Windows x86 Installer
    Now tell me step by step on how to configure and how start Web analyzer
    I dont know how to start server/services. (Any Web server required?)
    Getting started would be more helpful.
    Need help ASAP.
    thanks,
    Ram

    Hi,
    First of all have you installed Shared Services as you will need that as that foundation of the installation.
    You will also need to install other components such as essbase if you intend to use it with web analysis.
    If you have done that, then you will first need a repository to hold Reporting and Analysis information.
    Afte start up the configuration utility and select the Reporting & analysis elements and go through the steps entering
    details such as shared services connection, repository information.
    It should install the components as a service.
    You should really read the installation document :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/hs_windows_install.pdf
