Yes. Go to the info tab in itunes (with iphone attached) and select whatever you like to sync.

Want to selet 3G area coverage in IPhone 3GS
In my area I have seen that my IPhone 3GS don't select the 3G coverage by default but it select the standard coverage (normal calls, SMS etc). This becomes a problem that I don't have any internet connectivity while it selects the standard coverage. I tried to check Enable 3G On/OFF but no use, Unless I turn the phone off and on to select the other network, which is a bother plus it returns back to the Standard system after a while.
As for it, I am sure that the 3G network is provided when ever I am going because my friends can access the internet on there smart phones.
Is there a way to fix the problem? make the phone select the 3G network by default? or I select it manually?
Thanks.The way the iPhone works if it has not been hacked/jailbroken is Wifi then 3G - Edge - GPRS. If your phone is not functioning this way, you should contact your carrier to verify that data is enabled for your phone.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

hi i need some help, im using iphone 3gs, when i connect it to my mac it says theres an update to my iphone which i did install, but few minutes after its telling me that i need to restore my iPhone. i did restore it but i cannot configure it anymore, in itunes it says there is no sim card installed in the iphone that your attempting to activate.
in itunes its telling me theres no sim card installed in the iphone you are attemptng to activate.

i just upgraded my iphone 3gs to ios 6 not sure if it updated but now when i turn on my phone it says automatically that i need to connect it to itunes using the USB port but when i connect it it comes up as new hardware and cannot find a program/software for my device even though i have the latest itunes on my computer. i have tried reinstalling itunes but it still cannot find my phone and now i cannot use my phone as it is stuck on the sync to itunes screen

I updated my Iphone 3gs to last version of iOS and now I can't change my configurations of Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Generally that is a sign that the iPhone had previously been jailbroken
or hacked to work with other than the original wireless provider. The update
has relocked the iPhone to the original wireless provider. You must
contact them to see if they provide unlocking and if you qualify.
If you can get that far, what does it say when you look at
Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier? -

IPhone 3GS "NO SERVICE" but finds carrier in network selection
I'll try and keep it brief. So my iPhone 3GS constantly says "No Service" and I don't know why. I boot it up, and it says "Searching..." for about 2 minutes, then "No Service"
For almost a month now, it would randomly go out for an hour or so. The morning of October 8th it went out for two days straight. When I woke up in the morning (Oct 10) it was connected to Bell with full bars + 3G. It was only on for about 5 hours or so, then back to no service. It's now the 13th and I'm still left with no service. I've done a full restore, I got a new SIM, I've tried putting it on airplane mode for 2 minutes and going outside, I've shut it off and turned it on somewhere else, I updated to iOS 5. I've done everything I can find online. No luck. It finds Bell, both "Bell 3G" and "Bell" Settings>General>Carrier but when I try to connect to it, it tells me "Network Lost, your selected cellular network is no longer available. You can choose a different network in Settings" for both Bell 3G and just Bell.
Apple wants me to pay 229 to send me a new one, but I can't afford it, and Bell won't give me a loaner, so I'm left without a phone. Help, please!honestly i don't think its a apple iphone direct issue. here's what i know...i have had a no service on my 3gs randomly coming up on my phone for nearly a year now. i have done everything you've stated and still the same. i recently just went to australia and used a telstra sim card and it worked flawlessly for 2 months. i believe that bell and telus have changed their signal or something that is causing this but they will deny it to the bitter end. so...why not just buy another iphone? Exactly! thats what they want you to do! It's just a ploy to get you to buy another phone. if you can get another carrier besides these 2 crooks i think you will find it works. try buying a cheap prepaid sim card to see which carrier works best in your area before selecting a plan.

When i connect my iphone 3GS to my PC, while syncing in progress, pc shows backing up, preparing to sync. Then message display "itunes stopped working",
windows checking for solution, Then message comes "A problem caused the program to stop working correct. Windows will close the program and notify you if solution is available" , Then Itunes go off. You can't "copy" your photos to the "library manager", there is just no way to any such thing.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

how to configure my 3gs iphone? it says your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable......
i live in iran. this 3gs was a gift from america .. it contains NOTHING. i can do nothing with it. it cannot be updated cuz the version is low. i dunno what t do please help.Possible causes:
1. Your antivirus is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. Your phone is jailbroken.
3. Your computer has been used at some time in the past to jaibreak some iOS device (not necessarily the phone with the problem), and its network database was corrupted by the hacking software that was used.
4. Apple's activation servers are down (very rare, and never for more than an hour or so).
5. The phone was reported stolen. If it was it can never be activated again.
For 1. try disabling your antivirus.
For 2. & 3. you need to go somewhere other than an apple forum for help. Although you can try deleting lines containing gs.apple.com from your "hosts" file on your computer. -

Can't play podcast from iPhone 3gs iTunes app: server configuration error?
so my podcast madness radio streams and downloads fine from a desktop computer.
but on the iphone 3gs 3.0.1 i get the "server is not correctly configured" error when i try to play the same podcast in the iTunes iPhone app.
any idea the reason for this?

No judgment here on the music you listen to, I have that song too in my library. If iTunes is telling you that the song is missing and you purchased it from the iTunes Store, then just delete it from your iTunes library and then download your song again.
