Configure OID with BPEL

Hi
Can anyone provide me the info on how to integrate OID with BPEL?
My requirement is to pick email ids from OID and send emails from BPEL.
Any tutorial or demo would he a great help
Regards
Deepak

I am doing that as well but we are really short on time we have delivery date on 1st of August. And our man SOA guy has resigned so i had to take over without its knowledge.
I have a document called Oracle® BPEL Process Manager, shall i read Service Configuration with
Configuring the Identity Service
■ Configuring the Notification Services
■ Configuring the Workflow Service
■ Integrating Oracle BPEL Process Manager with the Oracle Application Server
Service Registry
would that enough?
Pls suggest

  • Integrating OID with BPEL

    I would like to know if anyone has integrated oid with BPEL (standalone version)? Is there any documentation available for the same?

    The only files that I came across & made changes to are is_config, jazn.xml. It would be great if you could tell me if there any other files that needs to be configured? I copied the ldapclnt10.jar & ldap.jar into
    ...\BPEL\integration\orabpel\system\appserver\oc4j\j2ee\home\applib as sugegsted in another discussion forum. But that doesnt seem to solve the problem. Am getting NoClassDef found error now when I try to access the worklist.

  • Configure OID for OAS

    Hi All
    We installed OID and OAS on the same server with 2 different ORACLE_HOME . OID is up and running and I can connect successfully using the OID manager with the same user name and pass but when I try to configure OID with OAS from OAS console then I get the following error "Error occured trying to connect to OID . please verify user/pass host/port"
    I verfied every thing . I pinged the host and checked the port and it is 389 and user name pass working great with OID manager . Any idea why I can not connect to OID ? I am using orcladmin as username for OID
    Thanks

    I am having a similar issue. I am unable to run the ldifwrite command b/c is ask for the OID password and the one I'm supplying does not work. How do you reset the oidpassword if you cannot provide the old oidpassword. I'm able to login to the Oracle Directory Manager without an issue using the superuser account(cn=orcladmin), but that password does not work for the OID.

  • Workflow in ocs with bpel

    Hi
    I installed OCS 10 g and Application server 10.1.2 J2EE and web cache.
    I can't configure oracle Bpel mid - tier to work with ocs how could i do that?
    I want to make ocs workflow with bpel . And how i design the workflow with out bpel designer? because bpel mid - tier hasn't jdev designer?

    You can download Web Services Development kit from the link below.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/cs/developer/contentservicesdev/contenservicesdevkit.html.
    It gives you some sample BPEL processes and documentation on how to configure OCS with BPEL.
    Regarding the use of JDev, you can install JDev on a windows machine and design a process. Once you are done designing your process you can deploy this to a BPEL server by creating a deployment connection(click on BPEL Project and choose deploy -- you can find a menu to create deployment connection to a remote BPEL server).
    Hope this helps,
    Ravikiran

  • Issue while integrating  OID and BPEL.

    Issue while integrating OID and BPEL.
    We followed steps mentioned in for integration. WE have two SoA instances, home, oc4j_soa.
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28982/service_config.htm#BABIBGFF
    Before running configure_oid.bat script, we changed jazn.xml to include the contents that are available in home\jazn.xml.
    The contents we replaced contain
    <jazn xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://xmlns.oracle.com/oracleas/schema/jazn-10_0.xsd" schema-major-version="10" schema-minor-version="0" provider="LDAP" location="ldap://myhost:389" default-realm="my-realm" >

         <property name="ldap.user" value="orclApplicationCommonName=jaznadmin2,cn=JAZNContext,cn=products,cn=OracleContext" />
         <property name="ldap.password" value="{903}dA0r1HydR5qIhjAn2OCLMSWlFXeLdV//sCLFNwSfWhE=" />
         <property name="custom.sso.key.alias" value="ssoSymmetricKey" />
         <property name="idm.token.asserter.class" value="oracle.security.jazn.sso.SSOCookieTokenAsserter" />
         <property name="idm.token.collector.class" value="oracle.security.jazn.sso.SSOCookieTokenCollector" />
         <property name="idm.token.type" value="HTTP_COOKIE" />
         <property name="idm.token.collector.cookie.1" value="ORA_OC4J_SSO" />
         <property name="custom.sso.url.logout" value="/jsso/SSOLogout" />
         <property name="ldap.protocol" value="no-ssl" />
         <property name="idm.authentication.name" value="JavaSSO" />
    </jazn>
    configure_oid.bat ran successfully.
    But when we try restarting SoA, it gives error. If we replace the above to point to XML-based jazn then SoA starts succcessfully.
    Please let us know if we are missing anything.

    Usage:
    opmnctl [<scope>] status [<options>] [host port]
    Notes:
    - if host,port is specified, contact opmn on host,port;
    otherwise, contact opmn in local ias instance.
    scope:
    @instance(:name)*|@cluster
    scope specifies how far to apply the query. To apply the query to
    all known iAS Instances, specify "cluster". To apply the query
    to a specific set of 1 or more iAS Instances, specify
    "instance(:instname(:instname...))". If no names are supplied
    in an instance scope string then the request is applied to the
    "local" instance. In this context, "local" means the instance
    containing the opmn server handling the request.
    Default: local iAS Instance.
    Options:
    [ias-component|oc4j-group]=id
    - filter output by ias-component name
    - i.e. filter output by oc4j-group name
    -l - pre-selected long output format:
    %cmp32%prt18%pid7R%sta8%uid10R%mem8R%utm9R%por
    -fmt <fmtlist> - output format (see details below)
    Option "-fmt <fmtlist>" and "-l" are mutually exclusive
    -fsep <string> - field separator (default:" | ")
    -rsep <string> - record separator (default:"\n")
    -noheaders - don't print a header
    -c <count> - number of times to print status (default:1)
    -i <nsecs> - seconds between each print (default:5)
    -app [-l] - application status (optional long format)
    -port - opmn "request" host and port (scope
    argument invalid)
    Format String Syntax:
    <fmtlist> - A single string containing one or more statistic
    identifiers concatenated together where each identifier has
    the following format: %<statname>[<width>[<justification>]]
    default: %cmp32%prt18%pid7R%sta8
    <statname> - Must be one of the following:
    ins - iAS Instance Name
    cmp - iAS Component Id
    prt - Process Type Id
    prs - Process Set Id
    idx - Index of process in Process Set
    pid - OS Process Identifier
    uid - Opmn Unique Id
    typ - Name for this kind of process
    sta - Process status
    stm - start time (ms)
    utm - up time (ms)
    cpu - cpu time (ms)
    mem - memory used (Kb)
    pme - private memory (Kb)
    sme - shared memory (Kb)
    hpz - heap size (Kb)
    por - Port List
    <width> - The number of columns to use for this field. Output
    less than this value will receive padding according to the
    specified justification. Output more than this value will
    be truncated and terminated with '~'.
    default: the width of each datum
    <justification> - How to justify output when less than the width.
    Must be L, R, or C (left, right, or center justification).

  • JDeveloper 11g with BPEL process Manager 10.1.3.1.0

    Hi,
    Here is my requirement.
    To develop a simple web application which talks to a Business work flow developed using BPEL.
    The Setup I wanted to work on
    JDeveloper 11g.
    BPEL process Manager 10.1.3.1.0.
    Now the problems seems to be is that JDeveloper 11g doesnt seem to be having BPEL Designer ,is there is plugin for me to get BPEL Designer in my JDeveloper 11g.
    Could some body tell me if i can use JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 with BPEL process Manager 10.1.3.1.0 if yes then
    how do we configure the JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 to point to BPEL process Manager 10.1.3.1.0.
    Regards
    Harish

    Huh? In the subject you're talking about BPEL 10.1.3.x and now you're asking for 10.1.2?
    Anyway, you need the corresponding JDeveloper version to develop the BPEL workflow, ie JDev 10.1.3.4 for BPEL 10.1.3.4 or JDev 10.1.2. for BPEL 10.1.2.
    You can install as much as possible JDeveloper versions on your machine. As long as they are installed in a different home. I usually have three to six installations.
    Develop your workflow in the JDev matching the BPEL version and develop your UI in JDev 11g calling the BPEL as a WebService.

  • OWSM problems while associating clientAgent with BPEL process

    Hi All,
    Refering to the PDF *"Securing Oracle SOA Applications by Using Oracle Web Services Manager (Oracle WSM) Agents.pdf"* we made an clientAgent and associated that with a simple BPEL process. After that we did the following:
    1) Change the Configuration Directory (with the component id of the clientAgent)
    2) Enable Web Services Agent (which was not mentioned in the pdf).
    3) Restart the SOA server.
    At the time of executing the BPEL process it is giving an error like "internal server error". Log is not being generated for clientAgent. At BPEL domaim log it is giving the following error:
    ORABPEL-02152
    Instance not found in datasource.
    The process domain was unable to fetch the instance with key "0ec681d22ef098ba:-529c35a1:1220cecf7e4:-7fcf" from the datasource.
    Please check that the instance key "0ec681d22ef098ba:-529c35a1:1220cecf7e4:-7fcf" refers to a valid instance that has been started and not removed from the process domain.
    Please reslove as early as possible.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Chandra.

    There are a few things you can do when trying to troubleshoot this kind of problem:
    1) tunnel the interaction between the BPEL server and the web service to see what SOAP messages are exchanged.
    2) try to turn debugging of the ws layer on: BPEL Console>Manage Domain>Logging
    2) email us your project, including the WSDL of your service so that we can take a look at it.
    Finally, one best practice is to never think in terms of Java object. Instead always start by designing your WSDLs and XSDs thinking of ports and XML documents and then generate the stubs. This will guaranty that your service is interoperable.

    Hi,
    This is a bug with OAM 11.1.1.5.x
    The fix is to use OAM 11.1.2.x and you should be able to configure FR 11.1.2.x and connect to OID and OAM.

  • How to configure LDAP in BPEL Server

    Hi,
    How to configure LDAP in BPEL Server?
    Also, what if we want to bounce to a YAHOO or GMAIL type email?
    Basically, can we do dynamic email and phone notifications from BPEL?
    Is there any documentation which tell us how to do this?
    I appreciate any pointer in this regard.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Levey.

    Levey,
    You can do the dynamic email and phone notifications with the help of xpath expressions. Basically there are api to get the these attributes based on the ID on the identity server.

  • How to inegrate OID with OEM 12c Cloud Control

    Hi All,
    Can anyone please tell me how can I integrate OID with OEM 12c Cloud Control. As we can integrate our weblogic administration console with OID,is it possible to integrate OEM cloud control with OID?
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Hi,
    Please find the URL below:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/security.htm#BABGAGIJ
    Following section will provide you the information for OID intergration:
    13.2.5 Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
    You can implement an OID-based authentication scheme to have Enterprise Manager authenticate users against the OID.
    Running the emctl config auth oid command on the OMS creates a WebLogic authentication provider of type OracleInternetDirectoryAuthenticator that uses the configuration parameter values specified by the command. Any configuration values not specified retain the default values. Tuning and modification of advanced OID configuration parameters is carried out through the WebLogic Server Administration Console and not the emctl config auth oid command.
    Prerequisites
    Oracle Internet Directory LDAP server is set up and running.
    Run the emctl config auth oid command on each OMS.
    emctl config auth oid -ldap_host <ldap host> -ldap_port <ldap port> -ldap_principal <ldap principal> [-ldap_credential <ldap credential>] [-sysman_pwd <pwd>] -user_base_dn <user base DN> -group_base_dn <group base DN>
    where:
    ldap_host: LDAP host name
    ldap_port: LDAP port
    ldap_principal: The distinguished name (DN) of the LDAP user the WebLogic server should use to connect to the LDAP server.
    ldap_credential: Password for the user specified by ldap_principal.
    user_base_dn: The base distinguished name (DN) of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains users.
    group_base_dn - The base distinguished name (DN) of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains groups.
    Example:
    emctl config auth oid -ldap_host "ldaphost" -ldap_port "3060" -ldap_principal "cn=orcladmin" -user_base_dn "cn=users,dc=us,dc=oracle,dc=com" -group_base_dn "cn=groups,dc=us,dc=oracle,dc=com" -ldap_credential "my_ldap_password" -sysman_pwd "my_sysman_password"
    Stop the OMS.
    emctl stop oms -all
    Restart the OMS.
    emctl start oms
    Note:
    For Enterprise Manager deployments consisting of multiple OMS instances, emctl config auth oid must be run on each OMS. Each OMS must be restarted in order for changes to take effect.
    Testing the OID Configuration
    Use the WebLogic Server Administration Console (Users and Groups tab) to check whether the OID configuration has been successful. To navigate to this tab, select Home/Summary of Security Realms/myrealm/Users and Groups. From the Users and Groups tab, you should see users and groups showing up from the OID.
    Best Regards,
    Venkat

  • 10g - how to configure sso with iis-

    hi, experts, I have followed Oracle® Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Deployment Guide to configure SSO with IIS.
    but I always meet this message.

    If you have already logged in, your connection might have timed out, or a communications or server error may have occurred
    what steps are missing?
    how to check?

    hi, experts,
    I checked C:\OracleBIData\web\log\sawlog0.log on the obi server (windows server 2003 standard).
    at Thu Feb 17 14:48:46 2011 , I logined OBI on another machine (not via the browser on the obi server).
    however, the log shows the login user is the administrator of the obiserver (obiserver\administrator ).
