Configure Oracle BBDD to work with Windows KDC

Hi all,
I'm having problems in configure Oracle 11g running in Windows 2003 Server R2 with another W2003 Server R2 where AD is located and also KDC server.
The problem is when I try to retrieve TG initial ticket using okinit.
Output of okinit after enter password for PRINCIPAL is:
okinit: Improper format of configuration file
My krb5.conf is:
[libdefaults]
default_realm = DM.LOCAL
[realms]
PERICO.DM.LOCAL = {
kdc = perico.DM.local
[domain_realm]
.dm.local = DM.LOCAL
dm.local = DM.LOCAL
where DM.local is DOMAIN name and perico.DM.local is the host with AD and KDC server.
I can resolve full names of kdc server or BBDD server by .../etc/hosts and Net Manager has the rights values in KERBEROS5 parameters.
I don't know what or where to look for solving the problem.
any Idea?
Thanks in advance.

If kinit is working correctly, try the workaround for bug 9450931: add "kerberos5" as service alias for krb5.
Another tell-tale sign is the fact you upgraded a perfectly working 10G install to 11G, and this broke.

    This is a very critical situation.

    The solution for this problema was put the proxy server name and IP in the database hosts.
    In Oracle portal it's essencial that database could resolve the name of all componentes, like portal mid-tier, web cache, sso, proxy server, etc.

  • Attempting to use certreq -enroll to enroll to a client authentication certificate works with Windows 8, but not with Windows 7...

    This has been an issue for a while now.  Trying to use certreq -enroll -machine [Template Name] on Windows 7 machines fails with not implemented.  When I run this command with the -q flag I see that the certificate I want is unavailable and displays:
    A valid certification authority (CA) configured to issue certificates based on this template cannot be located, or the CA does not support this operation, or the CA is not trusted.
    When I go into the properties of this certificate and goto the Certification Authority tab and check the "Show all enrollment servers" it shows my server greyed out with this message:
    The system could not determine if you can access this certificate.  Not implemented.
    The template sits on a enterprise 2003 server CA and this process works with Windows 8.1 machines.  Which means that the template has the correct permissions and is issued correctly.
    Is this a known issue with Windows 7 or am I missing something in the config?  Help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi
    I have done some tests on a Windows 7 Enterprise machine and a Windows 8.1 Enterprise machine, it turns out that I have the same issue with you.
    On the Windows 7 machines, I cannot use Certreq.exe to request machine certificates, but I can successfully request user certificates, and there is no issue with the Windows 8.1 machine.
    Best Regards,
    Amy
    Interesting.  From what I can tell, there are no patches that fix this issue either...

    When I try to Sync my ipod, nothing happens.

    Hi,
    You can download the latest official Firefox here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
    You may also have to install [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre7u9-downloads-1859586.html Java] (choose either Windows x86 Offline or Windows x86 Online), and [http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Flash] (choose the Firefox version and also deselect extras).
    For the Firefox metro version, please see [https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Windows_8_Integration#Elm_Nightly_Builds this]. You can install and use it along with the other version.

    lewis0,
    Welcome to Adobe Community .
    Minimum requirements means that you have to have these as the minimum configuration to install the Adobe Products . You can surely go ahead and install the product on a windows 8 PC and it should work fine.

  • Microsoft Mail not working with Windows 7 & MS-Office 2010

    Dear All
    I have a client who is using Microsoft Mail for their internal mailing. They have been using MSoffice ( Outlook) for this purpose for last so many years.
    We have found that Microsoft Mail does not work with Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 combination.
    When you try to configure it given error 0x8004110.
    When we tried with different versions, we found that if you install Office 2007 it works. If you try Office 2007 and then Office 2010 and remove Office 2007, it still work. But Then it is treated as 2 installations of Msoffice on the same computer.
    I need to know whether this is right from Licensing perspective.  We 'll be using single copy of office but it may seems as we have installed Office 2007 & office 2010 on same computer.

    Windows 7 is a supported operation system for Office 2010. At what exactly point will you get the specific error?
    Is that a Click-To-Run version of Office 2010? By default, for MSI-based version of Office, when you upgrade existing Office 2007 to Office 2010, the earlier version of Office will be removed:

    For licensing advice, as <Don> suggested above, you should contact your local Microsoft customer support or reseller.

    It's recommended to download and install
    Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • How do you get Oracle 8i to work with j2sdkee 1.3 B

    I had the j2sdkee1.2.1 working with Oracle 8i and I had the following line in the ~conifg/default.properties files
    Here's what worked:
    jdbcDatasources=jdbc/EstoreDB|jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:ORCL|jdbc/InventoryDB|jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:ORCL|jdbc/jcampDB|jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:ORCL
    In the j2sdkee1.3 beta 2, the resource configuration file format seem to have changed and I am not sure how to get oracle to work. I have tried modifying the new format but it does not seem to work. Can anyone tell me where set drivers for Oracle 8i or any place I can look to figure how to.
    jdbcDataSource.5.name=jdbc/Oracle
    jdbcDataSource.5.url=jdbc:oracle:thin:rmi:??;create=true
    jdbcDriver.0.name=COM.cloudscape.core.RmiJdbcDriver
    jdbcXADataSource.0.name=jdbc/XACloudscape
    jdbcXADataSource.0.classname=COM.cloudscape.core.RemoteXaDataSource
    jdbcXADataSource.0.dbpassword=
    jdbcXADataSource.0.dbuser=
    jdbcXADataSource.0.prop.createDatabase=create
    jdbcXADataSource.0.prop.databaseName=CloudscapeDB
    ==============
    Any pointers on how to get Oracle 8i to work with j2sdkee1.3 b2 will be appreciated. thanks.
    --pvt

    You are right. It seems the format has changed.
    However, now there is and admin tool that comes with J2EE SDK 1.3 Now you don't have to touch the config file by hand.
    You can use this tool to get the configuration done.
    To add JDBC driver the command is...
    j2eeadmin -addJdbcDriver oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    and to add a data source the command is...
    j2eeadmin -addJdbcDatasource jdbc/Oracle jdbc:oracle:thin@rtc:1521:acct
    Read details about this and other configuration you can do using this toll in the file %J2EE_HOME%/doc/release/ConfigGuide.html

  • Getting existing wireless solution working with Windows 7 client

    A bit new to this so need some help
    I have been asked to do some innovation around an existing operational wireless solution.
    Setup is;
    1. Wireless client - running Juniper Odyssey client. This authenticates user on logon to Windows using username / SecurID token / pin. Configuration via WAP / TKIP
    2. Cisco Aironet Wireless Access Point
    3. Cisco 4402 Wireless LAN controller
    4. Cisco ACS v4.1 - configured as RADIUS server with connection to external RSA Authentication Manager 6.1
    As part of a transformation programme I have been asked to investigate whether this existing wireless infrsatructure will work with Windows 7 as the client operating system. Also to look whether the wireless functions in Windows 7 will allow the Odyssey client to be removed.
    I am unsure what client if any I need to install on the Windows 7 client in order to try and get this working. Do I need the VPN client from Cisco, the RSA EAP client or will Win 7 allow me to do this.
    Any help appreciated.

    I am still struggling with this concept of suplicants
    I have tried to set this up with the wireless capabilities in Windows 7 to no avail. I see that Windows 7 only supports certin EAP types - how can I find out what my EAP type is on the ACS server?

  • Driver to have HP Laserjet C4120A (HP Laserjet 4000n) work with Windows 7

    We just put in 28 new Dell OptiPlex 3030 AIO with Windows 7 Professional in a school computer lab - but the tech guy did not install a printer for it to print to because he says our current printer - an HP Laserjet 4000n (C4120A) - is too old and will not work with Windows 7.  This is an EXCELLENT printer and has been working for us for a long time and I hate to give it up.
    Would someone please direct me to where a driver for this printer that will work with Windows 7 - or will Windows 7 automatically determine what driver is needed and retrieve it from its set of drivers it has with the operating system?
    Thank you so much for helping!

    Hello,
       I've seen this same issue with my printers (other HP printers) whereby the default setting to support the Duplexing hardware was set to 'off'.
      A quick method to check this is look at what the setting is for Duplex hardware in the Device Settings tab, and if it's not set, correct it.
      Printer Properties:
      From the 'Start' orb -> [Devices & Printers] -> right click on your Printer icon -> select 'Printer Properties' -> click on 'Device Settings' tab.
     You should see a dialog similar to the mine (attached): look for the 'Duplex unit (for 2-sided printing)' and see if it's set to "Not Installed":
        --> in either case, click on 'Not installed' and from the dropdown box, select 'Installed'... Click 'OK' to accept the changes and close the dialog.
    Printing Preferences:
     again, right click on your Printer icon -> select 'Printing Preferences' -> click on 'Advanced' tab.
     -->Check to see if there is a 'Duplex Hardware' or '2-sided printing' option in here: mine doesn't show one but thougth I'd mention it nonetheless.
      Click on the 'Finishing' tab and select 'Print on both sides'...or simply test print a multi-page document and set those preferences on-the-fly.
     Let me know if this helps...
