Configure rdisp/gui_auto_logout message

Hi,
Anybody knows if it is possible to configure the message that the system shows when it logs out a user due to long inactivity time (set with the parameter rdisp/gui_auto_logout )?

rdisp/gui_auto_logout:
Defines the maximum idle time for a user in seconds (applies only for SAP GUI connections).
Default value: 0 (no restriction); permissible values: any numerical value

All,
Is there a way how to configure an alert when the communication channel stops.
<b>Scenario:</b>
In the path Runtime workbench->Component Monitoring->Adapter Engine->Communication Channel monitoring, if we see that a communication channel has stopped(RED traffic light as Status), then can we trigger an alert notification for same.
Currently we have alrerts configured for any message/s failure in the JMS Adapter Framework. So can we trigger simmilar alerts when a comm channel stops(for whatever reason).

Thanks for the quick reply.
We have a scenario where we activate individual channels at a given time. So in this case, Adapter will always be in RED as all queues are never running in our scenario.
So we need an ALERT to be triggered for individual comm channels. Is theer any way that you can think of ?

For this error following are the places that needs to be checked.
1. In C4C the protocol defined in the Communication System should be 5 - Web Services
2. In C4C Communication Arrangement should have the right protocol selected
3. In PI make sure the Communication Channel's are created using provided Communication Channel Templates as part of the standard PI content.
In other words just follow the integration guide available in SMP to avoid such errors.

Inbound Web Service calls get error "Reliable Messaging(RM) configured, but no Message ID..."

We are setting up the Communication System and Communication Arrangement "Business Partner Replication from SAP ERP".
For protocol, we are using Type 5 - WebServices. See screenshot below.
Our error is that when we send webservice calls to our C4C, we get messages:
1. Web service response is "Web service processing error; more details in the web service error log on provider side"
2. Backend error messages is "SRT: Plain SOAP: Reliable messaging (RM) configured, but no Messaging ID and no WSRM assertion provided"
We have sent messages from PI and also independently thru soapUI.
So it seems the C4C in the backend is stuck on the RM messaging protocol setting.
Appreciate any and all assistance.

I've used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone CS6 and lots of other Adobe programs onto a newer MacBook Pro (yosemite), and I'm getting a configuration error 16 message... tried making the Adobe PCD and the SLStore stuff "read & write" but no good. Any help would be great, thanks!

Configuring JMS delivery message type on B2B server

Hi,
I have configured my B2B server to use the JMS delivery channel for the host trading partner by setting the attribute 'Use JMS Queue as default' to true. Now my query is how do one configure the jms message type. Becasue by default the jms message is getting delivered as byte message. I want to change the jms message type to text. Is there a way to configure that?

Rdisp/gui_auto_logout does not consider uploading

hi experts,
I set the rdisp/gui_auto_logout to 10 mins for testing. My problem is that it got me disconnected while in the middle of uploading. It seems it counts uploading as idle. Is there any way to drop idle sessions but not those in the middle of uploading data?

Setting Profile parameter rdisp/gui_auto_logout value

The present value for the profile parameter value rdisp/gui_auto_logout is 1200 sec, now i would like to change the value from 1200 sec to 2400 sec.
can change the value directly in parameter value field (using T-code RZ10) or can i create a new parameter value?
Please any one give me the suggestions how to reset the value for this profile parameter

Hello reddy,
This rdisp/gui_auto_logout parameter can be changed dynamically too you can change the value via RZ11 if you dont want to restart your server now. but in this case whenever you will restart your server the parameter value will be set back to the original state
change it via RZ10 but in this case you have to start the server to activate this value
Select Change in instance profile via RZ10 and select extended maintainance then click on create parameter and enter the parameter name there and press enter, it will show you the current value then insert the new value and save and activate the profile.

Is there configuration to have message for users when a spec object is already open for edit?

We are on v6111 and appreciate the warning message that tells the second user when two users have editted the same spec object and changes of the first have already been saved. What we are coming up against is users who want to know that someone else has already opened the spec object for edit. Is there a configation for this? Users don't like being informed after they enter data that someone else already saved a different edit ... they would like the warning before they do the actual work because it feels like a wasted effort ... If warned up front, they can come back and do the data entry later. We are trying to find the appropriate configuration option to put the warning message in the appropiate UX process/timing. Thank you!

I created a Calculated Field (Ex:Calculated Account) and the value of the calculated field is another single value field (Ex: [Account]) and Required, Force Active Properties to Calculated Field are put it as True. If i am not enter value for the Account it displays error pop up message as "Calculated Account is a required field.Please enter a value for the field (SBL-DAT-00498)". But my requirement is i want to pop up a custom message (like "Account is required"). How i can change that error message using configuration.

Siebel message is coming up during wirte record event for the BC and you can validate the same at prewrite record and do the exception handling there!!!

Audio configuration problem error message

I have just upgraded to version 7.1.1 and when I try to open it the following message appears
i tunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration.
I have tried returning to the old version, but that just comes up with the error message 200.
I relly would appreciate any help with this
