Configure replace timer --- conf t revert timer

Dears
Happy new year
I would like your assistance regarding below commands
1- configure replace <file> timer
2- conf t revert timer
For first one, what I understand is that IOS will apply file & If no "configure confirm" is applied IOS will revert back
For seconf, same idea but instead if applying file, IOS will apply commands I enter in configuration mode
Correct ?
If Yes
3- Why once I enter any command, IOS is archieved ?
4- I tried both commands and didnt work ; i.e it never fall backed knowing that I did not apply "configure confirm" !!!

  • After I configure my time capsule to my newly replaced macbook hard drive, are my old backups still available?

After I configure my time capsule to my newly replaced macbook hard drive, are my old backups still available?

How old was this backup? It sounds like it was at least several weeks old.
You can look directly in the TM backup for the music.
    1. Connect to the external HDD the backup is kept on.
    2. Open a Finder window and select the backup drive in the left hand panel. Double click into the folders until you see a list of folders with dates.
These are the incremental backups. You can start at the top or the bottom of the list but I suggest you double Latest/<HDD Name>/Users/<Account Name>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music. From this location you can start looking for the "missing" music. When/if you find it you can simply drag-n-drop to ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music on the internal HDD.
If the music is actually not in the backups (for whatever reason) then you've got a problem.
You can download the uploaded files from the cloud by deleting the affected tracks from the iTunes library (but not the cloud!), highlighting multiple tracks at once, right-clicking and choosing "download."

  • How do I configure my Time Capsule to use ethernet?

Over my Wifi, the estimated backup time is 72 days so guessing an ethernet cable will be substantially faster but don't see a place to configure the Time Machine/Time Capsule interface to default to an ethernet connection.   Anyone know how???
    Thanks

In most cases, once you connect an Ethernet cable from your Mac to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule, you are automatically setup for backup over Ethernet. Nothing else is required.
The exception would be if you configured your Time Capsule to "join" your wireless network using wireless only. In that case the Ethernet ports on the Time Capsule are not enabled, so backup over Ethernet woud not be possible unless you reconfigured your Time Capsule in a different manner.

I am having trouble setting up my time capsule.  the amber light is flashing.  i have a Verizon FIOS network that i use for the internet (WiFi) and do not want to configure the Time Capsule to do that function.  I just want the Time Capsule to back up.

Simple.. bridge the TC.. in the apple utility in the NAT and DHCP area.
Plug it into the FIOS router.. you can turn off wireless in the TC if you want.. or use it.. it can work faster if you are nearby and can select 5ghz.. but up to you.

  • MSS Time Approval Configuration and Time Approval that breaks from OM Struc

    Hi,
Can any one let me know how we configure the MSS for below requirement.
    Time Approval Configuration
Custom Relationship Configuration for Time Approval that breaks from OM Structure
    Thanks,

depends on your settings in workflow 'agent determination'.
in sap std workflow the agent for leave approval by default is the 'chief' position holder of an org unit.
so i guess you may want to copy the std workflow into your customer name space and have a workflow consultant customise it to enable the workflow to use the z-relationship object instead of the chief position holder.

  • Help with configuration of Time Machine backups on a wireless network

    Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me with the configuration of Time Machine on a wireless network. I have it working some what but I am unsure if this is the best way or if it is the right way.
I have a G4 Mac mini connected to a Airport Extreme base station via ethernet.
I have a Lacie 500GB USB drive connected to the Mac mini (Lacie is formatted GUID)
I have a Macbook that I connect via wireless to the Airport and perform backups to the Lacie 500GB via wireless.
I initially had the USB drive connected to the Macbook and Time Machine worked flawlessly.
Now that I have the setup mentioned above configured, Time Machine works but... now instead of creating folders under the Backups.backupdb folder it is doing a initial backup of everything and creating a .sparsebundle file.
I am not sure if this is working correctly? Have I configured it correctly?
Permission on the Lacie? I am also controlling the Mac mini using ARD.
Perhaps I should format the drive and start from scratch and identifying the Lacie 500GB as the Time Machine backup drive for the Macbook.
I am NOT backing up the Mac mini to the Lacie 500GB
Another question is of course the initial backup over wireless will be very slow but after that it should be quicker as only files that change are backed up correct?
Hope to have some feedback on this as I believe a lot of people are trying this setup as a workaround to not being able to backup to a Airport USB drive.
Macbook and Mac mini are both using latest Leopard with updates.

James I think what you've done is correct. The thing to be aware of is that TM backs up to a directly connected HD using a Folder and deposits data into this folder in Finder format making it easy to navigate. When TM backs up to your networked HD attached to the Mac mini as you've configured for your MacBook a sparsebundle disk image is created by TM.
Now when TM on the MacBook executes it will auto mount that sparsebundle disk image on the MacBook to perform the backup and then dismounts it.
If you invoke the TM browser on your MacBook while the TM backup is in progress the TM browser has something to work with and will display the TM history. If however, on your MacBook you launch the TM browser when the TM backup is not executing you will see no history. What you need to do is to mount that network Mac mini LaCie 500GB USB HD on your MacBook and I believe you can then see the TM history.
This is very similar to the AirDisk feature that Apple dropped off from the TM feature list just prior to Leopard GM release on Occ 26.
Now having said all that, I'm a little puzzled why the TM browser launched on the MacBook isn't auto mounting your backup volume (the LaCie USB HD) as this is clearly what's required. This maybe a bug that should be reported to Apple via their Feedback process.
Hopefully I've understood your configuration and what you've posted as an issue(s).

  • Configuring the time capsule airport wlan function as "connect to wlan", the time caspule gets a correct IP adress from the other wlans IP range, but does not assign this to the ethernet ports. With Airport Express it worked!

Configuring the time capsule airport wlan function as "connect to wlan", the time capsule gets a correct IP adress from the other wlans IP range, but does not assign this to the ethernet ports. With Airport express it worked, the single Ethernet port got the IP Parameters passed through!
My setup is a Vodafon Esaybox connected to ISP. Time Capsule is not able to extend the wlan of the easybox, neither airport express can do.
Only the option "connect to wlan" is succesful.
With airport express I was able to connect my Sony Bravia TV to the lan via ethernet to stream pictures, the TV set got an IP adress from the easybox.
With the time capsule the easybox dosn't find devices connected to the ethernet ports to submit IP adresses. The TV set get another IP adress (169.xxx.x.x.) in subnet mask 255.255.0.0 and I don not now where from.
My notebook is a MacBook pro.
    Any idea????
    Thank a lot in advance!
    Kind regards
    Ingo

Neverthe less, could there be the chance, that this feature could be implemnented with an firmware update?
That would appear to be a question for Apple to answer. You can make suggestions to Apple here:
Apple - AirPort Extreme - Feedback
If the AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule are configured to "extend a wireless network" they will provide additional wireless coverage....and...the Ethernet ports are enabled in this type of setup.
The "catch" here is that you must have an Apple router providing the network to be extended.

  • Keithley 2400 Configure Settling Time Delay vi

I am trying to use the Configure Settling Time Delay.vi yet it is not clear where it has to be placed to work. Where should it go in relation to a Configure Measurement.vi or Read.vi
    Thank you very much,
    Andrew

    Hello Andrew,
It may take some trial and error but looking at the library of VI's in the project, they should still follow the initialize->configure->read->close data flow. I would first Configure Measurement(one or mulitple), then Configure Settling Delay, and then Read. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Configuring my Time Capsule with a Comcast modem

Configuring my Time Capsule with a Comcast modem. I had an outage and the time capusule had a pop up that said change something, I did, didn't fix the problem, but now I can't get wireless networking, but the MacPro connected by ethernet works fine.

Redo the setup.. press and hold the reset for about 10sec and redo it.
This time set wireless using simple name, no space and pure alphanumeric.
Lock the wireless channels as that also helps.
Wireless on an old Gen1 can get pretty tired.

  • I need to configure my Time Capsule with a Ruckus wireless...

Hi people, i need your help to solve this problem...
I need to configure my time capsule for first time with one Ruckus wireless...
If you can...could you please give me the solution?
    Thank you all!

Time Capsule is designed for ethernet connection.. it is not really good without it.
There is a single option to join wireless network.. hidden and unused as it should be..
On a windows version you will have to hold down the alt key i think when you click the options for wireless mode.. it will then offer join a wireless network.
It is super slow.. and subject to easy corruption of files.. it will turn off all wireless AP and routing and ethernet functions.. good luck!!

  • Configuring Simulation Time

Good day everyone, pls can anyone assist,  i am  having configuring simulation time problem with my vi which led to be giving inaccurate results.  The input data file (DIF) consists of 14 days data each to be sampled at 15minutes (900secs) interval i.e in an hour i will sample 4 times and in a day (i.e 24hours) i will sample 96times, so the total data is 4x24x14 = 1344 data. My vi has to read from the input file DIF and write out data with exactly 15mins interval. So the first sample is at t=0 , the second at =15mins, the third at t=30min and so on. I configured the time as (1/96) which gives me 0.01041667day i.e in day sample but the results i am getting are not correct. Is it because the configured time (0.01041667day) is not enough for the numerical solver to be solving iteratively? The output of the integrators of each unit are not updating at each iteration and the nature of the graph is correct, but should be from 0 to 14 days not what is giving. When the last data at t=13.98958days is sample, the result should be as attached. Thanks for all your support.

Thanks. When i configured 0.01041667 it automatically rounded it off to 0.0104167, the last data to be sampled is at time t=13.98958days i.e 1343 sample from0 to 1343)and the result should as in the zip file. I also attached the correct graph nature, not as the one obtained when vi is run (because it goes beyond 14days), the problem is configuring the simulation time i.e 14days while the sampling should be at an interval of 15minutes(900secs) (sampling time) for the all samples. But because of what i configured is not correct, the input and output of some sampling as the integrators updates are giving me a negative values which shouldn't be like that. Thank you
