  • Thunderbird TORbirdy configuration with email server settings???

When I add my hotmail email account to thunderbird it is working fine i can send and receive emails. When i then proceed to add on Torbirdy it will still work. However, when I try to add a hotmail email account after Torbirdy has been added on to thunderbird it doesn't work properly, i can still send emails but i can not receive messages in my inbox. This is strange because i checked the server settings and everything is correct.
When i add my bitmessage email account to thunderbird it is working fine also and i can send and receive emails. When i add on torbirdy it will still work. When i try to add a bitmessage account after Torbirdy has been added on to thunderbird it doesn't work at all, meaning i can't send or receive emails i just get that error SMTP not configured properly or something like that.
Does anybody have this same problem or know what might be going on here because i have tried just about everything and nothing is working for me.
    thanks

  • Error Configuring Common Server Settings

I'm trying to install several JES components, each one wants to configure the Common Server Settings first.
When I try to do so, I get the following error:
    Error in Host IP Address
    Valid Host IP Address Required.
The Host IP Address Provided could not be validated.
The services being installed required a valid Host IP Address.
Installation cannot proceed until a valid Host IP Address is provided.
The IP address I am using is 10.0.5.16. This is the IP address of the server I want to install the software on - obviously it is in the class C private IP space. I can't imagine how this would be "invalid".
I'm installing this on a RH Linux platform.
    Help is appreciated. Thanks.

I was able to solve this problem by putting the host and domain information in /etc/hosts file:

  • Can't configure wireless settings on P1102w using a mac

Hi there. I can't configure wireless settings on P1102w using a mac. I have it installed with USB just fine but I want to use eprint (with ios airplay). I run the setup utility looking for some wireless setup option, but it never appears. When I finish the install it tells me to go to the eprint website to download eprint. At that site it has me download the firmware update, which I do, and then at the end of that it tells me to go to the eprint website again, which then downloads the firmware update again. It's an endless loop.
I know I need to get to the built in web server but the config page tells me I don't have an IP address. Which makes sense to me because it hasn't been set up.  I can't for the life of me find how to set up the wireless using the driver software on the Mac OS. I try to follow the manuals instructions, but it looks like it is designed for windows users, and the buttons it tells me to look for just don't exist on the mac HP driver software.
    Can you help?

    Hi,
The Wireless configuration should be made by using the EWS page, which also accessible from Mac OS over a USB connection through the printer setup.
You may find the steps listed below:
Click the Apple icon, then clickSystem Preferences.
    Click Print & Fax.
Select your printer and click Open Print Queue.
    Click on Printer Setup
    Then select Utility
    Click Open Printer Utility
    Click HTMLConfig. The EWS opens.
    Click the Networking tab
Then click Wireless from the list on the left
Under Communication Mode, click Infrastructure, select your network SSID from the Available Network Names (SSID) list, and then click the << button.
From the Security Mode pop-up menu under Authentication, click WEP or WPA/WPA2. Your selection  depends on which Wireless Security Protocol your network uses.
Type your WEP/WPA/WPA2 key in the appropriate field, and then click Apply.
In the confirmation box, click OK and then close the HTML Config and Print Queue windows.
Once done, allow 3 minutes to fully establish the connection, then unplug the USB.
Enter Print & Fax and remove the existing USB Print Queue.
Click the Plus button and add the printer over the network.
Please let me know of any issue,
    Shlomi

  • Can't override DNS Server settings - can only append!

See this thread for a similar question:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3555096
I have also filed this with Apple (Problem ID 5159216). Here is the text of the report (with a few bits removed - not crucial to understanding the report).
If anyone has suggestions/clues to resolve, please advise. Thanks!
    Summary:
This problem concerns AirPort Extreme (802.11n) at revision 7.1. I will summarize with a comparison between AirPort and MacOS X.
MacOS X and Airport Extreme (referred herein as "AE") both permit editing of DNS server settings whether in DHCP or Manual mode.
When MacOS X DNS server settings are set manually by the end-user, the new server IPs are used (good). When AE's DNS server settings are overridden by the end-user, the new server IPs are NOT used (not good)! Rather, the DHCP-supplied DNS server always pre-empts whatever is given in the AE Configuration UI.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Using AirPort Extreme (802.11n) at revision 7.1 and MacOS 10.4.9 on a MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo). The AE has been previously configured for IPv4 using DHCP and the MacBook is successfully connected and resolving domain names through the AE.
    2. Visit "Apple Menu > Location > Network Settings" and check the AirPort TCP/IP settings. For purposes of this test, make sure the "DNS Servers" field is EMPTY so MacOS X defaults to the AE's DNS settings, then close System Preferences.
    3. Run "AirPort Utility" (the newer version, not "Airport Admin Utility") and configure the AE under test. Pick the "Internet" icon in the toolbar and note the Internet Connection settings.
    4. In this test, Configure IPv4 is set to "DHCP" and the DNS Server(s) field contains two DNS IPs assigned by the Internet Service Provider. In my case that's Cablevision's Optimum Online service. You may or may not see IP addresses here, but in my case they are visible.
    5. As the DNS Server(s) are editable, and they both show ISP-supplied addresses, they can be changed to whatever alternate IPs you wish. For instance, change them to these alternate DNS IPs from OpenDNS.com: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. (You could use any alternate set of IPs but for the purpose of this test use the OpenDNS IPs.) Update the AE and restart.
(For additional reference, http://www.opendns.com/start/airport.php shows instructions for the older AirPort Admin Utility, but the concept is exactly the same.)
    6. Normally you shouldn't have to restart the MacBook Pro since we're just using the AE settings, but go ahead and do that just to be consistent with this test.
    Expected Results:
Now for the moment of truth! We want to verify that we're using the OpenDNS IPs for our DNS Servers. One nice feature OpenDNS has is automagic redirection for certain domain name typos.
Here's an example. Drop to shell (Applications > Utilities > Terminal) and try this command (excluding the $ prompt, natch):
    $ dig craigslist.og
The "og" typo is deliberate. We really want to go to craigslist.org. If you're using the new OpenDNS IPs, you will STILL get an Address (A) record with an IP like so:
    ;; ANSWER SECTION:
    craigslist.og. 0 IN A 208.69.32.130
If you had entered "craigslist.og" in Safari, you would end up at 208.69.32.130 (an OpenDNS server) and then redirected to craigslist.org.
    Actual Results:
Alas, that's not what happens! Instead, you get NO IP address, like so:
    ;; QUESTION SECTION:
    ;craigslist.og. IN A
This means we're not actually using the OpenDNS IPs. What's happening?
To find out, I spoke with the AirPort support group (Case # xxx-xxx-xx). I learned that, despite being allowed to edit and override the IP addresses provided via DHCP, the AE still uses the DHCP-provided DNS server if available.
Again, the user interface suggests that I'm allowed to override the DHCP-provided DNS IPs as shown in the UI. Even though I can do this, the AirPort will still keep note of any DHCP-provided DNS Server IPs and use those first.
True, I can switch to Manual network settings (and then my own DNS Server IPs take effect). Of course this is problematic when the ISP renews my IP address (which it does from time to time).
Another workaround is to use the "DNS Servers" settings noted in step 2 (above). However this is also problematic if I want to keep my network settings simple. It requires a "Home Network" location and an "Office" location. Still not preferable, but it's a workaround.
    Regression:
    n/a
    Notes:
I would like AirPort's DNS settings to be overridden in the same way OS X allows DNS settings to be overridden. The user interfaces suggest this is possible but it is not. It's only possible in the OS X case. Having the same flexibility on the AirPort would be most welcome.

Afraid of the answer...sheesh...you must be a child. This has nothing to do with masquerading anything. The issue being discussed here is that people want to manually assign a dns server address via the new AEBS, while maintaining DHCP for IP address assignments through their ISP. For example, I would like to have opendns.com take care of all dns addressing at the router level, even though I have "Configure IPv4" set to "Using DHCP". If you do not understand why one would want to use something like opendns.com, please visit their website and enlighten yourself. The fact that the dns server address fields are editable when set to "Using DHCP" leads one to believe that you can manually assign a dns server in this configuration; however, under firmware 7.1.1, you still cannot. The previous iteration of the airport hardware can do it, as can nearly any router you pull off the shelf. In addition, this is something that can easily be done at the individual-computer level in OS X; however, many people would prefer to administer their network at the router level. That is the issue being discussed here. Either you can't read or you are purposely derailing the thread.

  • Export Release Build - Problem with Server Settings

Hello, i have a big problem and i searched the whole day yesterday but didnt found an answer...
I started a Flex Mobile and PHP Project. The Project has a Data/Services included wich loads some customer from a database (sql)... for the first a
used Zend and try it local (http://localhost and used the htdocs Folder of Zend)... EVERYTHING WORKS PRETTY FINE... so NOW my problem
I wanted to export this project to a release build for my android phone... so the first warning of Flash Builder ist that the project ist currently configured to access data services from a local url. Before exporting the application, you may need to deploy your services to a remote server, then change the server root URL for your project. Click here to change server settings.
When i click the button i get the server setting.
    Web root: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zend\Apache2\htdocs
    Root URL: http://localhost
whe i change it now i get an eror:"The selected web root folder does not exist (i attached i screenshot of it).
i entered de domain of my server (i also tried the ip) at Root URL. And i think there ist a problem with the Web root...? i get scary

i know WHY Flashbuilder tells me that i have to change the setting when i deploy on the device
my problem ist that i got this error...
and the domain wich i have in the screenshot should only explain how i tried it...
i entered my server url (the real domain) and i entered the folder "app" wich i have created via ftp on my server...
BUT i also get this error (lik in the screenshot)
i think at ROOT URL i cant make lot mistakes .... http://myserver.de or the ip
but i think maybe my web root ist incorrect? i entered here the folder wich is directliy on my server...?
i dont know exactly but i got an error like in the screen

  • Weblogic Admin server - Configuration/Server Start/Arguments ignored?

    Hi,
I'm trying to specify a http proxy for a WebLogic Admin Server in order for an application to access external resources. I've placed the settings into the "Server Configuration / Server Start / Arguments", and verified that they have been saved into the config/config.xml file for that domain:
    <server-start>
    <arguments>-Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080</arguments>
    <password-encrypted>[XXXX]</password-encrypted>
    </server-start>
However, no matter how I start the server, these settings are ignored despite that the documentation states these should be added to the java command line.
    starting weblogic with Java version:
    java version "1.6.0_19"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_19-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.2-b04, mixed mode)
    Starting WLS with line:
    C:\PROGRA~1\Java\JDK16~1.0_1\bin\java -client -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:CompileThreshold=8000 -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dweblogic.Name=AdminServer -Djava.security.policy=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server\lib\weblogic.policy -Xverify:none -da -Dplatform.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3 -Dwls.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Dweblogic.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Dweblogic.management.discover=true -Dwlw.iterativeDev= -Dwlw.testConsole= -Dwlw.logErrorsToConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_wls1032\profiles\default\sysext_manifest_classpath weblogic.Server
As a test I created a new managed server in the same domain, specifying the same startup properties, and they were picked up during startup.
If I manually place the settings into the bin/setDomainEnv.cmd batch file for the domain they are also picked up and work.
Is there an undocumented restriction on Admin Servers that they ignore the "Server Start / Arguments" setting, or is there something else I can check as to why this is not working?
    Many thanks,
    - Micha.

Umm... I already pasted the relevant snippet out of the config.xml, but following is the entire file. The startup arguments, as specified in the admin console, are:
    -Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXXXXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080
which matches what is saved in the config.xml.

  • Content Server Settings not working (for PPM)

    Hi,
    We are on PPM5.0.
We have set up the Content Server settings according to the PPM
    configuration guide.
We, however, still see the documents (uploaded in the project) showing
    up on the PPM Server.
We checked the entries in table CFF_CONT (in the PPM server), and see
the contents updating when a document is uploaded. This makes us
conclude that the documents are still not being stored on the Content
    Server.
Any switch/flag that needs to be set/reset in the WAS and/or Content Server that'll help??
    Or anything else...???
    Thanks.

Earl Powers BSR2751547 Thank you all. your suggestions really helped.

  • Email server settings

Hi, I have a Blackberry Pearl 8130 that used to be used to access our county school system's email account. My wife entered some information into the Blackberry 2 years ago, and it apprently did some sort of an auto-config for the email account. She doesn't remember entering any server settings, etc etc.  My question is how can we pull up the account settings (incoming and outgoing servers, etc) to plug into an iPhone that needs to access that account? The iPhone doesn't seem to be able to perform the same auto-config that the Pearl apparently was able to do. I'm not terribly Blackberry-literate (it's been my wife's phone), so I'll almost certainly need a good step-by-step for this if it can be done! Thanks in advance for any help you guys can pass along!

Hmmmm...well, if it's not one of those that BIS auto-recognizes, then you'd have had to put them in way back then...and can see them now. So try this.
On your BB, go into Setup > Email Settings. That should display a list of the various BIS conduits that are configured. Click on the one in question and that should display the requisite settings. You might also have to press the BBKey and select "Advanced Settings" to see the server names and such.

  • [SOLVED] Firefox: failed to contact configuration server.

When I start firefox, the full error message is:
An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for firefox. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly.

I don't have dbus or hal running, as I have disabled input-hotplugging. Is there any way to fix this?
Also, before I start firefox, I have 0 dbus processes running, and after it gives me that error message, I get:
    pgrep dbus | wc -l
    381
I have switched to chrome which doesn't seem to have any troubles. I would really like to have firefox though.
NVM: I went through the config options for firefox, and --disable-dbus exists

I'm not entirely sure, but here is what I would do:
    1. Create a new user account and try to start firefox as that user.
    2. are hal / dbus running (check with ps -ef |grep hal)
    3. If 1. works and hal/dbus are running, log out and remove everything under /tmp owned by you , plus .dbus/session_bus/*.

  • ColdFusion Server Settings box is blank

I finally got my copy of CFBuilder 2, and I've been trying to get it set up for my projects.  When editing code, I have a "Firefox" and "IE" tab at the bottom of the editor window, but when I click on either one (or if I click on the green "Run" button in the toolbar), I get the following message:
Server is not configured with the project.
Along with instructions about how to configure the server settings.  However, when I do (project->properties->ColdFusion Server Settings), that box is completely blank, other than the "Restore Defaults" and "Apply" buttons.
    What gives?

Ok, somehow I managed to figure it out.  I ended up with a double "http://" in the server path, so I nuked it and started over.
Now my problem is a 404 when I preview in my browser.
I have CF8 installed locally, running on localhost:8500.  I have C:/ColdFusion8/wwwroot/ as my local path, and folders for each project under that (example: planning).
I'm assuming since my project path is C:/ColdFusion8/wwwroot/planning/ and my "Sample URL" is http://localhost:8500/planning/ that previewing the index.cfm file in that folder should give me the proper URL.  But I get a "File not found" error.
I can browse to the file in Firefox and view it fine, so I suspect a pathing problem.
