Configure UCP/FCF for oracle RAC 11g R2 in JBOSS

I am trying to configure UCP/FCF with Oracle RAC 11g R2.
Currently, I have configured oracle-ds.xml in Jboss in my deploy folder.
I have got this working using jboss connection pool

<isSameRM-override-value>false</isSameRM-override-value>

<check-valid-connection-sql>SELECT 1 FROM DUAL</check-valid-connection-sql>
<new-connection-sql>SELECT 1 FROM DUAL</new-connection-sql>
</xa-datasource>
1. I have configured ONS on database server. (racnode1:6200,racnode2:6200)
2. I have copied ons.jar,ucp.jar,ojdbc6.jar in classpath.
Now, how do I enable UCP and configure FCF in jboss.
can anybody please help me?

  • Oracle RAC 11g on Windows 2008 64 bit - blue screen error on both nodes

    Hi Everyone,
    I installed Oracle RAC 11g on Windows 2008 64 bit, The installation was successfull and crs_state -t shows all services in two nodes are online.
    When executed a select query with 100 sessions( For performance evaluation using Transaction generator ) ,the machine got crashed and blue screen is appeared on two nodes. I restrated the machines and and starts the same evaluation ,bt the same bug is repeating.
    Can anyone suggest a solution to solve this issue? Is our hardware is not sufficient ? Shall we need to perform any
    specific settings in Oracle RAC setup for performance evaluations?
    Is our settings for load balancing is not enough? ( We added "Load Balancing= On" on tnsnames.ora on client for load
    balancing)

  • Oracle RAC 11g query

    Hi All,
    I am new to Oracle RAC 11g, facing a issue, Request all to help.
    1) What is the instance id means which we get from gv$session in Oracle RAC setup?
    2) What is differnce between Session failure and node failure?
    3) If session fail, then client should connect to node1(to which session previously connected) or node2?
    Thanks

    1) What is the instance id means which we get from gv$session in Oracle RAC setup?Instance ID is unique for each instance in clustered database.
    2) What is differnce between Session failure and node failure?Session Failure - when the connection to an instance is lost, SESSION failover results only in the establishment of a new connection to another Oracle RAC node
    Node Failure/Eviction - we can say hardware fails, the Cluster Manager reports the change in the cluster's membership to Global Resource Directory (GRD)
    Resource directory which consists of both Global enqueue service & cache service
    3) If session fail, then client should connect to node1(to which session previously connected) or node2?You have to configure in SERVICE.

    Hi,
    RAC is a database in a cluster. One Database opened by one o more instances in one or more hosts.
    Note: RAC is not a cluster, but a Database cluster.
    To allow database be clustered, we need to install a software cluster.
    We have some options, but Oracle developed your own software cluster actually named Grid Infrastructure for a cluster AKA Oracle Clusterware.
    To install RAC you need first install and configure your cluster.
    Before you start install Oracle cluster/RAC I recommend you start with concepts.

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = rac2b-vip)(PORT = 1522)(IP = FIRST))
    many thanks for all suggest,
    Lain

    No matter how many number of listeners that you run ... You need only 1 public ip,1 vip, 1 private ip for each node of the cluster.
    All the listeners on that node use the same vip but listens only on different port numbers that you choose ...
    Thanks

  • Any Oracle best practice/standards for inter-DataCente links for Oracle RAC

    Hello Oracle Experts,
    Am working for a customer to set up Oracle RAC architecture hosting SAP/Non-SAP applications per SLA levels(MC/BC/Standard) specs. Currently my network team needs calculation to arrive at whether we will go for a (1), (2) or (3) 10Gig links for inter DC (Data-Center) for Oracle RAC.. below is additional background:
    •     Porting all client SAP/Non-SAP Oracle databases to new 2 data-centers.

    My network colleagues considering using DWDM across the 2 DCs(given the lesser cost?). Am still looking around if there are any Oracle/industry-best practices around this and having a calculation to support that..

    Hi ,
    There are no specific set of steps / practices for batch loading contents to ucm . It would be very much dependent on how many contents does the user have to load to UCM and how well the server is configured in terms of performance .
    You can get more details from the following documentation link : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/doc.1111/e10792/c02_settings009.htm

  • Configuring Web Services for Oracle XML DB

    Hi all...
    I think I need some help one this subject....
    We have a 10G Release 2 Oracle single instance ( not RAC) install on a Linux Redhat v5.3 64 bit server. Are developers are user Visual Studio .Net and wnat to send xml files to a web service so that the xml file (containing data) can call a PL/SQL package (to be written) which will take the data out of the xml input file and insert rows into a prefined table within the instance. Now they have browsed the web and have come upon the following links...
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb_web_services.htm
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb22pro.htm#i1026724
    Currently, within the database I looked at the schema XDB and have unlocked the account and connected as the user XDB. There are some 680 objects in the following groups...
    SQL> select object_type, count(*) from dba_objects where owner='XDB' group by object_type;
    OBJECT_TYPE COUNT(*)
    SEQUENCE 2
    PROCEDURE 5
    OPERATOR 8
    LOB 334
    LIBRARY 12
    PACKAGE 20
    PACKAGE BODY 17
    XML SCHEMA 25
    TYPE BODY 5
    TRIGGER 12
    TABLE 36
    INDEX 51
    FUNCTION 5
    INDEXTYPE 2
    VIEW 2
    TYPE 144
    16 rows selected.
    Now in the links above it mentions that the xdbconfig.xml needs to be altered etc. However, I have searched the entire $ORACLE_HOME and there is no file definition of that description.
    From a DBA prospective...what do I have to install on the Linux server? I assume from the Oracle Database 10g Companion Products I need to lay down Oracle HTTP Server in a new Oracle home as the first step...or not? Does the HTML DB need to be installed as well?
    And for Configuring Web Services for Oracle XML DB...what else has to be installed? And from what product line?
    Thanks in Advance....
    Cheers
    Roegr

    Hi Marco...
    First of all ...thanks for the reply.
    I followed the link and the infor in that web page. However, there were a few things that did not work....
    1. The http://localhost:8080/ as is brought up a web page withe the heading as
    ==========
    ORACLE DATABASE 10g EXPRESS EDITION LICENSE AGREEMENT..
    ==========
    The other browser test ftp://localhost:2100/
    did not find any page?
    2. Then I went onto running (as the sysdba) the pl/sql to enable the ORAWSV Entry Service
    however it error out. So I did a describe on DBMS_XDB and the function deleteServlet does not appear
    then I had a look and this link to > http://www.liberidu.com/blog/?p=471
    was for 11G and the other link > http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369.pdf
    was for 11G.
    However, we are on 10G

    TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.3.0 - Production

    So is there must be other sql for 10G?

  • Encountered ora-29701 during Sun Cluster for Oracle RAC 9.2.0.7 startup (UR

    Hi all,
    Need some help from all out there
    In our Sun Cluster 3.1 Data Service for Oracle RAC 9.2.0.7 (Solaris 9) configuration, my team had encountered
    ora-29701 *Unable to connect to Cluster Manager*
    during the startup of the Oracle RAC database instances on the Oracle RAC Server resources.
    We tried the attached workaround by Oracle. This workaround works well for the 1^st time but it doesn’t work anymore when the server is rebooted.
    Kindly help me to check whether anyone encounter the same problem as the above and able to resolve. Thanks.
    Bug No. 4262155
    Filed 25-MAR-2005 Updated 11-APR-2005
    Product Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition Product Version 9.2.0.6.0
    Platform Linux x86
    Platform Version 2.4.21-9.0.1
    Database Version 9.2.0.6.0
    Affects Platforms Port-Specific
    Severity Severe Loss of Service
    Status Not a Bug. To Filer
    Base Bug N/A
    Fixed in Product Version No Data
    Problem statement:
    ORA-29701 DURING DATABASE CREATION AFTER APPLYING 9.2.0.6 PATCHSET
    *** 03/25/05 07:32 am ***
    TAR:
    PROBLEM:
    Customer applied 9.2.0.6 patchset over 9.2.0.4 patchset.
    While creating the database, customer receives following error:
         ORA-29701: unable to connect to Cluster Manager
    However, if customer goes from 9.2.0.4 -> 9.2.0.5 -> 9.2.0.6, the problem does not occur.
    DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS:
    It seems that the problem is with libskgxn9.so shared library.
    For 9.2.0.4 -> 9.2.0.5 -> 9.2.0.6, the install log shows the following:
    installActions2005-03-22_03-44-42PM.log:,
    [libskgxn9.so->%ORACLE_HOME%/lib/libskgxn9.so 7933 plats=1=>[46]langs=1=> en,fr,ar,bn,pt_BR,bg,fr_CA,ca,hr,cs,da,nl,ar_EG,en_GB,et,fi,de,el,iw,hu,is,in, it,ja,ko,es,lv,lt,ms,es_MX,no,pl,pt,ro,ru,zh_CN,sk,sl,es_ES,sv,th,zh_TW, tr,uk,vi]]
    installActions2005-03-22_04-13-03PM.log:, [libcmdll.so ->%ORACLE_HOME%/lib/libskgxn9.so 64274 plats=1=>[46] langs=-554696704=>[en]]
    For 9.2.0.4 -> 9.2.0.6, install log shows:
    installActions2005-03-22_04-13-03PM.log:, [libcmdll.so ->%ORACLE_HOME%/lib/libskgxn9.so 64274 plats=1=>[46] langs=-554696704=>[en]] does not exist.
    This means that while patching from 9.2.0.4 -> 9.2.0.5, Installer copies the libcmdll.so library into libskgxn9.so, while patching from 9.2.0.4 -> 9.2.0.6 does not.
    ORACM is located in /app/oracle/ORACM which is different than ORACLE_HOME in customer's environment.
    WORKAROUND:
    Customer is using the following workaround:
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib make -f ins_rdbms.mk rac_on ioracle ipc_udp
