Configure yahoo calendar on ICal

Dear All,
I already reported this issue to yahoo team but still wait for a feedback.
I do have an Ipad & Iphone where I did successfully configure 3 accounts yahoo.fr in iCal and can look to the all family member calendar at once.
I am now playing for the first time with a real mac : this is a mac min server with OS X Lion 10.7.2 where 2 of my yahoo.fr account cannot be configured in ICal.
This is quite strange, for my personnal account which is the oldest one, I had to try three times on the "calendar" option (within System window, mails, contacts, calendar).
But for the two remaining yahoo.fr account I want to configure, I am able to get the email configured but not the calendar.
I did try several ways:
- by system, "mails, contacts, calendar"
- by iCal, preferences and "add and account"
          - there on a first try, using "automatic" type for the account
          - but also, using "yahoo" type account
          - but also using "iCal" type account (and then entering the server adress as given in the yahoo help)
At the end it does work perfectly on the Ipad, Iphone but it does not on the mac mini server...
Any suggestions ?
p.s. i did search in the community history but without success, the only interesting post just give the same information as yahoo help.

If you've updated your Yahoo Calendar to their new Beta version that has CalDav support, you can add it to iCal on your Mac... I don't know if it will then sync to the phone yet (haven't tried that part yet), but might be worth a shot.

Connection timed out to yahoo calendar after update to 4.0.3

i got the update and now ical gives me this message when i'm trying to access my yahoo calendar account:
The server responded with an error.
The request for account "[email protected]" failed.
The server responded with
“HTTP/1.1 504 Connection Timed Out”
to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.
anyone know how to fix this?

I deleted "Home > Library > Caches", and then went over to "Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache" and only found "Calendar Cache", Calendar Sync Changes, Attachments, a .caldav folder, a .imap folder, and a number of .calendar folders. I deleted "Calendar Cache" (which came back right away even though ical was not running) only. Restarting didnt fix the problem
I followed the next 2 instructions
1.) Delete the Yahoo calendar from iCal > Preferences > Accounts
2.) Then remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
I only found ".com.apple.iCal.plist" and ".com.apple.iCal.helper.plist" and I sent them both to the trash
After restarting + readding the yahoo account it still gives the same message.

ICal sync with Yahoo Calendar Beta ( 2 way) REDUX

I'm bringing back an issue that was archived recently even though it was not resolved.
Here it is: I (as well as many other people) am trying to sync iCal and Yahoo calendar. I followed the Yahoo instructions given here:

But it only goes one way; when I add something to the Yahoo calendar it shows up in iCal, but when I add something to iCal it never shows up in Yahoo.
People keep saying to just follow the instructions and it will go both ways but for me AND MANY OTHERS it simply does not.
I've spent over an hour researching this, and this is a real live problem for a lot of people, going all the way back to 2008. I've seen dozens of different people saying they have this problem and I have yet to see a single solution aside from repeating the same instructions that do not work (for everybody).
Some of the discussions focus on iCal's "Calendar" calendar vs. "Work" and "Home" calendars, claiming only the "Calendar" one will sync. If that's true then it is beyond stupid and is totally useless to me and thousands of others. But I doubt it's true because I have tested it; I've created events in "Calendar," "Work," and "Home," and none of them sync back to Yahoo.
How can this be such a common problem and yet nobody has a solution? (At least not one that makes sense...)
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated by me and many others!
(Sorry if I sound a bit grumpy; this stuff can be really frustrating!)

...one more thing; in Yahoo calendar, on the left-hand side where the calendars are listed, it only lists my Yahoo calendar, plus US holidays and Canadian holidays. It seems to me that my iCal calendars should be there too. How do I get them there? (That seems to be at the heart of it.)
There's an item to "subscribe to calendars" where you can enter an "iCal address," and the example they give is this:

That's a yahoo address, not an iCal address. And regardless, how do I find the iCal address for my three iCal calendars? ("Calendar," "Home," and "Work"). And besides, is this for syncing, or just viewing some external calendar?

Events from my subscribed to Yahoo calendar are showing up in iCal one hour off and all calendars and computers have been reset to Central Time.

I Use Yahoo calendar as my main calendar so my dh can access it from work, so I subscribe to it for iCal. I recently moved from Eastern Time zone to Central. I didn't re-set all my calendars and apps right away. I have all my calendars and computers on Central Time now but events from my Yahoo calendar are showing up in Eastern Time in iCal. I cant edit them on my Mac or iPad because they're events from a subscribed to calendar.
So, how do I get these events to show up at the right time?

HT2513 Had to import Birthdays from yahoo calendar. Is there any way to move them to the iCal Birthdays calendar without manually inputing them each into Address Book?

I used to use Yahoo Calendar to manage my birthdays and notifications of them. Yahoo screwed with something, so now I no longer get birthday notification texts to my cell. Now, I've imported my Yahoo Calendar dates in to iCal. iCal has a Birthdays "subscription" calendar which only shows birthdays entered into the Address Book. I do not have any birthdays entered into Address Book. Is there any way to select birthday entries from my other calendars and move them to the birthdays tab, or must I manually enter over 200 birthdays into Address Book?
While I'm here, is there any way to highlight specific calendar entries and move them to a "new calendar"?

I can't sync my new mac iCal events with Yahoo Calendar

I just download an icalendar format file to my iCal account. The events show up under my yahoo account calendar, but the events are not synched with the yahoo calendar on the web, or on my iphone or ipad for that matter. Any ideas?

Sounds like you haven't updated your Sync account for the new version of Sync that was released with Firefox 29.

'On My Mac' and Yahoo calendars won't sync to iCloud. You can move them to iCloud, but then Yahoo will lose contact with its calendars. if you are happy to sync onlly with iCloud, and thus to your iPhone, you can move the calendars: you will have to do it one at a time, and the process is just a trifle convoluted - it's described in the first set of numbered instructions here:

IPod not showing all Calendars from iCal

I just got a new iPod classic and when I hook it up to my MacBook and sync my calendars from iCal not all of them show up. I have tried syncing all and some selected, but if it didnt show in all, it wont show even checked off. Is this a bug in the system?

Hello Kristen,
Have you double checked the media type of these TV Shows in iTunes? To do so, locate the TV Show, right->click on it and choose "Get Info" from the Shortcut Menu. When the window pops up, head over to the Options tab. There should be an option for *Media Type* with a drop down list next to it. Make sure that is set to "TV Show" and nothing else. Then hit OK when you are finished and sync the updated changes to your iPod.
Another thing to check is the settings you have configured from under the *TV Show* tab for your iPod in iTunes, when you have it plugged in. It may be set to sync all "unplayed" episodes. You will want to change this to something that is more fitting.
I would start with these two possibilities, and then we will go from there if need be.

Show shared calendars in ical wiki

We use the snow leopard server version 10.6.4 on a xServe.
Personal calendars are shared, so we can see the calendars of each others in iCal.
But I want to make visible the shared calendars on the wiki (calendar) server. Now I can only see my personal sychronosized calendar online.
So, how can I add shared calendars on the wiki server?

There is an alternative way you could try which works very well for our client who uses both macs and pc's on a windows network.
On iCal go to ICAL > Preferences. Click on the Accounts tab, select the exchange account and click on the delegations tab. On here click the + symbol and type in the first few letters of the user who's calendar she needs access to - if exchange is configured correctly it should automatically find the username and add that calendar to iCal for her to view.

Shared calendars in iCal via Exchange 2007

I am trying to test a solution for a user that has an iMac she wishes to connect to our Windows network and access her email and calendars from home. She will VPN of course, and upgrade to Snow Leopard for Exchange support. I have everything working up to that point on a test MacBook with 10.6.2 that is on the inside (will test VPN after everything works internally). I created an Exchange account that I can receive mail in Mail.app and normal calendar events in iCal.
The situation she is attempting to do is to see shared Exchange calendars. Not public folder calendars, but individual calendars that have been shared with her. Now in Outlook, all you have to do is click Open a Shared Calendar and input the user name of the calendar owner. In iCal, I think it is the Subscribe function, but it asks for a URL. What am I supposed to enter there? I have Outlook Web Access (OWA) URLs for the calendar I am trying to access, but when I input the URL string, I get an error saying the data was not valid.
Anyone else doing this???

Syncing with Yahoo Calendars

I just got the newest version of iCal and was so excited to sync it to my long time Yahoo calendars. However, when they synced, all of the Yahoo calendar events are 5 hours too early. I would like to figure out how to fix this.

Sorry, I should have been more detailed with my instructions.
I actually meant "File > Export > Export". Then save the file to your Desktop. In the Finder Control-Click the file. Then select 'Open with…" from the contextual menu that should appear. From the sublist select "Other", then navigate to "TextEdit" from the next window. The file should then open in TextEdit. Tehn search for a line in the middle of the file starting DTSTART.

Sync iphone with yahoo calendars

I use yahoo mail along with yahoo calendars. The new iphone allowes me to since with the mail, but only gives me an option to sync with outlook for calendars.
Is there a way to do this?

You can synch yahoo calendar to your iphone if you have an iMac and Yahoo Calendar Beta. First log into your yahoo calendar, then search for yahoo calendar beta, then switch to the beta calendar (be warned, if you switch any calendar entries made in beta will be lost if you go back to classic calendar). Then go to iMac open iCal and add a new calendar. Add yahoo calendar (instructions can be found by searching support for the yahoo calendar beta url). It's not real time, but it does get your events to your iphone.

I was connected to my Yahoo mail using ical but kept getting the error message. I deleted my Yahoo profile from ical and then added it again. Now all my entries in my Calendar are gone and I am still getting the error message.

I am tired of how Yahoo has gotten worse and worse. It is the ONLY account I get problems with DAILY (even after removing and re-adding). AOL will act up once in a while not taking a saved password but accepting it when OK is clicked.... But Yahoo is always responding with such errors.... Today's calendar error is:
The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “Yahoo” failed.
