Configuring alerts from PM server rather than workstations/servers
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to configure alerts so that they were only sent from the PM server rather than the local host? At the moment we use SMTP which I'd like to re-configure it make this more secure. Are there any other optiosn that we could use? Regards,Al
Hello, I don't think it's possible or at least not without using external software. The F-Secure Management Agent (FSMA) runs on the endpoints and creates the alerts there, sending them to an SMTP server and/or PMS. However, there is or there was an "F-Secure Email Reporting VB Script" that uses F-Secure Policy Manager Web Reporting (PMWR) to create MHTML and then send that file via e-mail. Scheduling is based on Windows Scheduling. In more ancient times, there was something called "Policy Manager Reporting Option 5.50" which provided a command-line interface and you could have possibly scripted it. However, that was way before the transition from FSPM shared folder model to the H2 active database took place, so it is now a museum exhibit piece of software I think. Can the wiki be configured to link to a file already on the server rather than uploading it into the page? This would enable users to open (and edit) the original server hosted document rather than downloading a static copy that can't be edited and synced back into the wiki page.
As a workaround I've tried attaching an alias to a file but it doesn't work - the wiki instead uploads the aliased file.
From what I can work out, the default wiki behaviour is to upload a document to a wiki page, which creates a copy of the uploaded document in the wiki database. This copy has no connection to the original document. It can be downloaded and edited, but the edits are not saved back into the wiki hosted version of the document.
I'd like to be able to upload a link or alias to a document (with preview please!) already on the server. A user could then preview the document or click to open and edit it.
The only way I can do this at the moment is to create a link "afp://123.../doc.rtf" to the original. This is timeconsuming and confusing for non-technical users and doesn't offer the benefits of the attach function (ie document preview).
Is there any way the wiki can be configured to link to documents already on the server using the attach functionality?An update for anyone in a similar situation.
Patch 3944727 for 9.0.4.1 that solves this issue: "USER LOV IASM11SHIP EDIT USER LOV SHOULD SHOW THE NICKNAME ATTRIBUTE." However, the patch is mutually exclusive with the latest CPU's and there's no plan to merge the pacthes given the dwindling support for 9.0.4.1. So that patch is pretty much worthless.
I've been told that this patch is included in newer portal versions, so the real solution is an upgrade.

How can I monitor my monthly data usage for all 3 computers in my house? I have an Airport base station and it seems there should be software to monitor it from that point rather than monitoring the usage for each computer and then adding it up.

Running the Scripts of Essbase in Server rather than in Client

We have Scripts which run for different Loads like INK/TONER/FAST etc. The Essbase Version we use is 11.1.2.2.
The content of the Scripts are as below.

Now the requirement is to change the Script running with User depending on Essbase Client. We need change the Script to run in Server itself when the users runs the script.
I want to execute this StartEsscmd.bat with the one available in Server as the below one
call F:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver1\bin\startEsscmd.bat U:\FAST\sub\sub\Ink_Assumpt_Extract.cmd . Rather than users installing Client.
Is this how we can make the script to run in Server itself. Or any other process. Please help on this.

These batch scripts are dependent on Informatica Environment as well. Once all the Essbase batch files runs there will be data files in DAT Folder and using the timestamp of current month these data files will be send to Informatica Env and there one Job runs which will convert all the .OUT files into a .DAT file and load into DB. Its the Process.
Now we cant change the entire process but need to get rid of Essbase Client dependency.
All i want to know is if we change the path of the files from
call C:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin\startEsscmd.bat
to
call F:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver1\bin\startEsscmd.bat
or
call %ARBORTPATH%\bin\startEsscmd.bat
will the files runs in server side. I tried with this but getting an error saying
System cannot find the path specified. Please help.

How do I open an xlsx file from a website rather than downloading it?
When I try to open an .xlsx file from a website, it downloads and does not open. Before the last update, it would just open the file. How do I get it to open when I click on it rather than just download it?
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, that didn't work...it still just downloads it to the temp file and doesn't open. Any other ideas? It worked before the last update of Firefox.

Lightroom pulls up photoshop from backup drive rather than boot drive
I am using the latest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop for Mac.
I back up each night using super duper. In Lightroom, when I choose to Edit in Photoshop CC 2014, Lightroom loads Photoshop from my backup drive. The only workaround I have found is to dismount my backup drive. Is there a place I can go in either lightroom or photoshop to specify from which drive Photoshop should start when Editing from Lightroom. If I start photoshop first, then Lightroom "finds" the correct Photoshop, but I'd like to actually solve this rather than using a workaround. BTW, I used Adobe's instructions for uninstalling Lightroom and then re-installed, but that did not solve the problem.ANSWER BELOW:
I discovered a work around - super duper has a way to create custom scripts which will NOT back up items you specify. I went to the backup drive of my main drive and deleted both photoshop CC and lightroom cc. After running super duper using the custom script (which they explain thoroughly in the latest super duper manual) and NOT backing up either Photoshop or Lightroom (in Applications) things are back to normal. If I need to reinstall either photoshop or lightroom, I can easily do that from the web. -
False Alerts from Cluster Server Logical Disk Monitor
Hi All,
I have a cluster server & on one of its server there are 10 cluster disk.
Today from no where since last 5 hours I have been getting critical alerts for Cluster Disk - Free Space Monitor (MB) with every poll, when the threshold is well above the defined in this monitor.
After few mins when this critical alert gets resolved, I get a warning alert from Cluster Disk - Free Space Monitor (%). In this case also the threshold is well above.
Also, this issue with just this disk & all other disks perfectly fine. Kindly help.I'm not sure which version of MP you have but the following link may help which have a bug fix for same:

IMessage sent from email address rather than phone number...
I'm having similar problems with my iMessage update under iOS 5. When I send text messages to other iPhone users, it appears as iMessage and from my email address rather than my phone number. I went into Settings > Messages > Receive At, but there's no option to add my phone number. It keeps showing my Apple Account, which I registered under for iMessage and iCloud with my email address. It only allows me to add another email address. From what I can tell, non-iPhone users are still receiving my text messages from my number like regular. If I turn iMessage OFF, I'm sending regular text messages to all users. Anyone have a fix yet? I'm wondering if this was an Apple goof that won't be resolved until the next iPhone update.
What I am curious about is, how do I know if what I'm sending is coming from my number as a text message or as an iMessage with my Apple ID. I'm really asking this specifically because, I have friends overseas who I have been texting..now we have iMessenger.. but how do I know it's not being sent as a text instead (therefore costing me money)? Just because it's being sent using their email?
I've used a Blackberry before, and they have their texting & BBM as two seperate applications with two seperate icons...kinda hoping Apple had done the same here :/

Receiving messages from Apple ID, rather than iMessage?
I'm having a little bit of an issue with only one of my contacts.
I was texting with her yesterday, and everything seemed normal. She texted me today, but the message came from her Apple ID, rather than her actual phone number. She went into settings, and everything seems to be set the way that it normally has been. Her number is checked for starting new messages, and whatnot. Not sure whether it was on my end or hers, I did he same thing; my number is checked as well. We've both restarted our phones, and that didn't seem to fix anything. She managed to do something on her end, and I was getting messages from her cell number, but it was sending it as a regular text message, rather than an iMessage. She tinkered with it more, then I received one message from her on her actual cell number as an iMessage, but the second message she sent when directly back to the conversation that had started with her Apple ID.
I think it's irritating me more than her, because she has one single conversation, but I've got at least two started up with her. If I send a message to the original conversation I had going, all of her responses come from the new conversation started with the Apple ID. Is there any way to fix this, or do I just need to add her Apple ID to her existing contact? I've never had any issues like this before, so it's a bit frustrating, needless to say.Hello there, BatSpork.

Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Make sure that the contact you're trying to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact in the Contacts app. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.

There are times that I would prefer that have songs reside on my device rather than always relying on the cloud and having wifi coverage to listen to music. How can I synch my device so that i CAN download some songs to my phone or my ipod/ipad instead of just accessing music from the cloud??

Scroll to the Store menu and tap that.
This is where you can manage your Automatic Download settings. You can control Music, Apps, and Books (if you have the iBooks app installed) here. Slide to On any of the kinds of files you want iCloud to automatically download to your device. -

I'm having a problem with the current AD user account & mailbox user where they cannot get the Outlook 2010 automatically configured to point into the CAS array ?
This is happening when the existing user get new computer replaced or login to the Terminal Server where their account never set before, it always points to the Mailbox Server instead of the Client Access Server array virtual name.
The work around that I provided is typing the Client Access Array address and then specify Outlook.domain.com to match the Windows NLB name (and Get-ClientAccessArray result).
Single AD Domain forest
AD Site DataCenter contains:
Domain Controllers: PRODDC01-VM, PRODDC02-VM, PRODDC03-VM
Exchange Server 2010 SP3 - CAS&HT: PRODMAIL01-VM and PRODMAIL01-VM (Configured with WNLB as outlook.domain.com)

Can not receive emails from any accounts rather than Rogers(my ISP)

I have OCS10g installed on RHEL_AS4. Currently I got problem to receive and send emails both inbound and outbound.
When I send e-mail by either Oracle Web Access Client or Oracle Mail. It went smooth through the sending page. Unfortunately I can not get the e-mails neither from inbound or outbound domains, except [email protected]. Rogers is my current ISP and I am using the TZO dynamicIP service for the OCS server.
The configuration for smtp_inbound_server are as following. Has anyone known the solution of my problem?

Auto configure AE from MOXL server?

I have Mac OS X Server on a recent iMac, bought dec 2007 and updated at v. 10.5.2
The iMac with leopard server is sitting behind an airport Extreme also late 2007 at v. 5.3.1 and connected to it throught ethernet.
I gave the iMac a static IP in Airport DHCP.
How do I tell the iMac to automatically configure the Airport Extreme ports when I switch the server to HTTPS or kick in Kerberos for example?
And do the web module turn on and off automatically when I change HTTPS and or Kerberos?
List: Actual iMac server open ports as seen from Network utility:

Thanks for trying your best.
When a server is straight on a public internet IP, changing services on the server opens or closes the ports on the server and that's all that is needed.
When there is a router like Airport Extreme in between the net and the server, I think that I then have to tell manually the AE which ports to NAT map to the server. If I turn on ftp on the server, i'd need the AE to NAT map ftp to the server.
I have seen something about a server or client able to automatically configure the Airport port upon services changes.
I can't trace where and what that was.

Not downloading all mail from comcast server older than 5 months
Hey all,
I'm trying to download my mail from Comcast. Last time that i DL'ed mail to Thundermail was late March. For some reasons, it will only dl mail from 7/28/14 forward. I tried deleting my popstate.dat file, but all that did was DL the same stuff again, so now I have 4182 x 2 messages in my inbox.
any ideas why it's not going all the way back to early march? Is there some setting in Thunderbird that is preventing it from going back?
Back in January of this year, when I first installed thurndermail the program downloaded a full two years of e-mail.

MarkSince you are in this "company" are you in a Domain and using a Exchange Server? If so, what version of Windows server and version of Exchange server are they running?
Plus you could see if any problems are coming up by going to the Mail's menu item called 'Window' and select "Connection Doctor". This will pop-up and before you start make sure you look in the right hand corner to show Details and then do the check. This way you see where Mail is communication with the email server and then trace down what step it is failing.
