Configuring BI in ECC6.0

Hi All,
We have installed ECC6.0 in our company, and as you might be knowing it comes with inbuilt BI in NetWeaver stack ( we have only one application server) , so I would like to know how we configure the BI in ECC6.0.
Can anyone give me any standard SAP documents regarding this??

   what are the basic configurations needs to be done to integrate BI to ECC6.
   i have also EP in ecc6.

You just need to create a RFC connection between BI and ECc system. This can be done in TCode sm59.
Once you do that create source system for ECC6 in BI.
You can then replicate datasource and load data...

How to configure asset impairment ECC6.0

Hi,
Our client is looking to enable asset impairment functionality in SAP. An asset impairment is different from a revaluation. Revaluation occurs when a business adjusts the assets prices from a mark to market perspective. An impairment occurs when the business realizes the assets it possessu2019 are worth more or less then what is declared on their balance sheet. SAP FA has standard transactions for revaluation of assets and allows to determine the GL accounts in transaction (AO90 under revaluation account assignment) but nothing for impairment.
I know there are several options listed on the forum to post an impairment but none provide the end result I am looking for
The closest option I have is using ABAVN with a partial retirement (but the posting is wrong).
The client provided the following example:
Facts:
u2022Fixed asset with original cost of $100
u2022Original useful life of 10 yrs
u2022Straight-line depreciation
u2022Impaired to $50 at end of 2nd year (after $20 of depreciation) expense
u2022No expected change in useful life
The related posting must be:
-50 cr. FA acquis
20 dr. Acc. Depr.
30 dr. impr loss (P&L)
After the impairment posting the depreciable base is 50, original useful life is 10, and remaining useful life is 8.
The asset would continue to depreicate at a rate of 6.25 per year for 8 years.
Has anyone configured this in their system?

Prerequisites
● If you are using the new depreciation calculation, you have activated the FIN EA-APPL add-on.
● You have created the following new transaction types:
○ Transaction type for impairment according to IAS36 (debit) for current year (transaction type group A2)
○ Transaction type for impairment according to IAS36 (debit) for prior year (transaction type group A1)
○ Transaction type for impairment according to IAS36 (credit) for current year (transaction type group A2)
○ Transaction type for impairment according to IAS36 (credit) for prior year (transaction type group A1)
● You create the transaction types in Customizing:
○ For new General Ledger Accounting under Financial Accounting (New) ® Asset Accounting ® Special Valuation® Revaluation of Fixed Assets ® Revaluation for the Balance Sheet ® Define Transaction Types for Revaluation
● For each depreciation area, you have specified that impairments can be posted both as revaluation of acquisition and production costs and as depreciation revaluation:

Process Flow
1. You use the asset list to create a worklist containing the relevant assets. From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Accounting ® Financial Accounting ® Fixed Assets ®Environment ® Worklist ® Generate. ChooseImpairment Posting as the task for the worklist.
2. You specify how the system should post the impairment:
○ As negative revaluation of the acquisition and production costs to reduce the acquisition value (standard setting)
○ As depreciation revaluation, that is, as an increase in the amount of accumulated depreciation
3. You specify the transaction types that the system uses to generate the impairment postings for the current year and the previous year.
4. You specify how the system should distribute the impairment amount to the individual assets. You have the following options:
○ Distribution of the impairment amount dependent on the net book value
The system distributes the total amount of the impairment proportionally based on the net book value of the individual assets.
○ Customer-specific distribution of the impairment amount
The system distributes the total amount of the impairment based on your customer-specific specifications that you define using the Business Add-In (BAdI) BAdI for Distribution of Impairments (FIAA_IMPAIRMENT_DISTR_CUST). You can also use this BAdI to import an external file in which you have specified the impairment amounts at the level of the individual assets.
○ Distribution of the impairment amount to a net book value of zero

KOFAX CONFIGURATION IN SAP ECC6.0

Hi all,
We are going to use KOFAX tool to document automation, to store documents from SAP and to access documents.
As per document available with me below are the steps to be configure in ECC to connect to KOFAX for document archival process as per my understanding.
1. We have to configure RFC between KOFAX server and SAP server.
2. In SAP server, we use Store with Barcode feature to make changes in SAP
3. Create global document type for FAX & PDF (Tx. Code OAC2)
4. Create workflow document types for similar docs (tx. Code SOA0)
5. create workflow Parameter for the same docs (Tx code OACA)
6. create Barcode Type (Tx code OAD4)
7. create Barcode Entry (Tx code OAC5)
8. create the content Repository link (Tx. code OAC3)
9. Create object type (Tx code 0BD5)
Please any one confirm whether the above steps are correct or not, if yes please let us know how we can configure to push the documents to KOFAX server.
Appreciate if you can provide us the inputs for the above points quickly.

RABAX_STATE error during a connection on ECC6

Hi ,
I'm trying to configure connections between EP e ECC6 with SSO.
The comunication between server works correctly and all the comunications test (SAP Web AS Connection, ITS Connection and Connection Test for Connectors) are ok.
Everything is configured on the ECC6 (for SSO) and if i try to connect using webgui it works!
Now I need to configure my Businnes Package "Maintenance Management".
If I try to use it, trying to connecting on my ECC6, I have the following error message on EP

Please check the Dump logs on ECC 6 via ST22 and look if any ABAP errors raised. Sometimes this is caused by that all necessary services are not acitive on ECC.
Please use the following TCODE and Program to active services
tcode: SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INT
prog: W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES
this is referered at ITS_CANT_LOAD_INCLUDE in BBPstart service

Script Writing For Configuration Setting

I have done some configuration setting in ECC6. These settings are related to creation of authorization fields and authorization objects.
Now i need to do all these setting on remote server. So my question is about the writing the script for the same. i.e. Can we write a script which on running able to do the configuration setting in the remote machine instead of doing the it manually.

What are the configeration steps to configure BIW in ECC6.0
The following questions are only relates to ECC6
1) How to define source system?
2) Assign client to logical system?
3) How to setup the BIW menu as easy acces?

Technically it is possible to use BIW in an ECC 6.0 instance. You need to install BI_CONT 704 to use SAP contents. Its not recommend to use BW in ECC. SAP recommends different systems for BW and R/3. So better go for different systems.

Printing problem with HP Color Laserjet 3000 printer

I am using HP Color Laserjet 3000 printer, it is configured in SAP ECC6 with SPAD with device type "HPLJ4 : HP Laserjet 4 series PCL and access method = L: Print Locally Using LP
At HPUX level printer in configured with proper driver also.
When I print from SAP, I get following error
"Invalid option, Please refer to MAN page for valid options" as attached
Other then above line , nothing else comes

Hi,
Make a try using the device type HKSAPWIN and the access method is front end prinitng.
Also make sure that you are able to take the print out using the os(printer should be configured at os level first).

Though windown XP i am accessing the SAP Application Help.
Here in my PC i am having 4 windows XP hotfixes, through it the help is accessing.But in another PC which automatically updates its windows version through internet is having 94 hotfixes.From this PC the help is not accessing.
Please help me on this.How to come over this problem.

If i directly opens .chm file it is opening properly..
but when i am opening it thru SAP gui .. like help->application help
i am getting error as
"action cancelled " "Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable"
i have tried 'Itssrestrictions' registry option also .. buut unable to get the solution..

APP-Automatic Payment Programe

I am using APP programe in 4.7 now i am going to configure and implement ECC6.0. I have tested the APP in IDES using F110 in company code 1000. In 4.7 i picked up the open items based on profit centre by selecting the profit centre in Free selection tab. But in ECC6.0 there is provision to retrieve the open item based on profit centre wise but it's not working. why? what are the configuration steps i have to check up?

then i go to the Free selection tab and follow the same as specified by you and give the profit centres
1480,9100. when i fill these profit centers proposal is created.
My question is whether the proposal is created or not created.
If you leave the profit center as blank, in that case it will take all the profit center and accordingly consider all vendors. It the sense, there is no impact of Profit Center here, if you leave it blank.

Payext Idocs Issue - E1IDPU1

Hi,
I am an Idoc novice, but stumbling around trying to find my way. I have configured my system (ECC6.0), to send payments to our group IHC, however I have an anomoly that I cannot figure out.
It seems to refer to reference details (BKREF) in the master data (but i may be following a red herring). If I pay a vendor with this field populated I have an idoc that works and E1IDPU1 has a hierarchical structure, however, if I pay a customer, E1IDPU1 is not structured in the same way and the child segments follow immediately, so my idoc fails, with status 26
Can anyone advise areas that I need to look at to troubleshoot, as I am at a loss where to look.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jackie,
The issue decription, idoc status 26 and sub-segments not aligned, suggest that the IDoc failed due to syntax error. Standard code doesnt cause any syntax error in forming the segments of the idoc.
Here syntax error with the Idoc means that the structure of the Idoc was not according to the standard. This happens wheenever there is a user exit implemented to append a segment or sub segment to the idoc structure.
My suggestion would be to check for any user exit implementation and see if there is any incorrect coding that modifies the idoc structure. The exact segment which causes this syntax error would be mentioned in the status log of the idoc.
