Configuring Cisco 881 ISR (Integrated Services Router)

Hi
Can anyone advise whether this router internal IP is fixed at 10.10.10.0 network?
I am asking is bcoz.
1. When configuring the router using CCP 2.4  or 2.5, I am able to access the configuration via 10.10.10.x network.
However, when I changed the router IP to 192.168.1.x network, CCP is unable to detect the router.
2. By the way, CCP 2.5 has bugs right?
Is this fixed, or can anyone advice me how to workaround it?
Thanks a million.

Hi Alain
I am only using CCP.
Scenario 1:
By Default, the 881 IP is 10.10.10.1.
When I configured my PC IP to 10.10.10.5, I am able to ping to 10.10.10.1, but when in CCP I am unable to discover anything.
It is only when I changed my PC IP to 10.10.10.2 then in CCP the router is discovered.
Scenario 2:
After sucessfully discovered the router, I changed the router IP to 192.168.1.1/24. Thereafter I changed my PC IP to 192.168.1.10 Subnet 255.255.255.0.
I am able to ping to the router @ 192.168.1.1. However I am unable to discover it in CCP.

  • Cisco 881 ISR IPSec VPN Tunnel does not pass traffic from the vlan.

I have a cisco 881 ISR Router with a site-to-site IPsec vpn tunnel to a mikrotik device on the other end (I inherited this from my client). The tunnel is constructed properly and is up, however traffic does not pass or get routed to the FA4 interface. I see in my packet captures that it hits the vlan1 interface (vlans are required on the L2 ports) and does not pass to the tunnel.

Why do you have following command on the PIX?
    crypto map outside_map 40 set transform-set 165.228.x.x
Also you have this transform set on the PIX:
    crypto ipsec transform-set 10.112.60.0 esp-aes-256 esp-sha-hmac
This does not match the transfor set on the router:
    crypto ipsec transform-set tritest esp-3des esp-md5-hmac
Where are you using the access-list/route-map

  • PI post processing - configure the role of Integration service fails

I am running post processing template, and it keeps failing. So I have a couple questions:
Can I rerun the PI template multiple times until the entire process completes successfully? Must every process complete successfully? I have 100% but it is red....
The process errors out on configure the role of Integration service - error max no of 100 conversation exceeded. SXMB_SET_ROLE_TO_IS AbapConfigurationWriter FAILED.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    >>>><i>Can I rerun the PI template multiple times until the entire process completes successfully? Must every process complete successfully? I have 100% but it is red....</i>
If one template fails and if you re run the template it wont be successful. If you have 100% but if it is red dont worry it is a success.
The failing of templates can be due to, if you not configured SLD first then it might give you such problems. First execute all the templates under NWA and try executing all the PI templates.
The last method would be that you need do that configuration manually using XI installation guide, it surely works.

  • Enable Web gui on Cisco 2901 ISR running IOS 15...

I have recently purchased a Cisco 2901 Integrated Service Router that is running IOS 15... and need some help activating the WEB GUI Interface. I have read some documentation and have not had any luck. Some detailed instructions for the command line would be great if someone has the time to help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
It looks as though there is not a Web GUI available for the 2901. However, Cisco does provide a tool called Cisco Configuration Professional, which provides tools to configure routers. It provides options for configuring many different functions in Cisco routers. You can follow the steps laid out in this article: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_configuration_professional/guides/CiscoCPqsg.html
This gives a great overview of how to install and start using Configuration Professional. I hope this helps, and please feel free to respond with any further questions. I will certainly do my best to answer them!

  • 892 Integrated Services WAN Failover

    Hi everyone,
I have a client with a Cisco 892 Integrated Services router, and two ISP lines. He would like to implement automatic failover in-case the primary ISP goes down. I lack familiarity with integrated services routers, but will a static default route to the secondary ISP, with a high administrative distance do the trick? It seems to work in packet tracer, but I'm just looking for a second opinion before deploying it in the real world.
    Thanks for any feedback.

already used the username "cisco" to login to the router and your IOS image
supports the "one-time" user option, then this username has already expired.
You will not be able to login to the router with this username after you exit

It is strongly suggested that you create a new username with a privilege level

Replace <myuser> and <mypassword> with the username and password you

This feature requires the one-time use of the username "cisco" with the
password "cisco". These default credentials have a privilege level of 15.
YOU MUST USE CISCO CP or the CISCO IOS CLI TO CHANGE THESE

Here are the Cisco IOS commands.
    username <myuser>  privilege 15 secret 0 <mypassword>
    no username cisco
Replace <myuser> and <mypassword> with the username and password you want

  • MPLS CE support on Cisco 2800 ISR router

Hi all, could I ask you for some hints about MPLS CE support on Cisco 2800 ISR router today? I`m finding restrictions and recommendations for feature implementation. Do you have any cisco web site about them?
Thank you for your advice and/or hints.
    Peter

Thanks for an answer. I need to use multi-VPN model on CE router, but with QoS on one physical CE-PE connection (e.g. Frame-Relay DLCI).However, all VPNs on CE router must be secured for each one. The solution is Multi-VRF service feature, but, however, with multi-DLCI model on Frame-Relay and QoS per DLCI. Now, I`m finding a scenario to provide multi-VPN model on CE router with single-DLCI model and single QoS per one DLCI for all VPNs. And that, MPLS CE feature on C2800 could be used, if possible.
So, I don`t know more about MPLS CE on C2800 and I don`t know make a result to propsed solution...

  • Inter-vlan routing on CIsco 881 router ?

Hello, I have configured my 881 to perform inter-VLAN routing i.e. I am using ports 0-2 as tagged switch ports (with PC's plugged in and addressed on their relevant subnets) and port 3 as a trunk feeding in to port 4 as a router on stick configuration.
For some reason I am unable to ping between subnets. It seems the trunk is failing ?
Could someone please take a look and help me out. It must be something basic. This is driving me crazy.
p.s. I have entered 'switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q' on port 3 (the trunk) however it is not showing up.
Thank you kindly for any help.

  • Need help with cisco 881 configuration.

Hi, I have cisco 881 wireless router, and I need to configure this as a switch, I have dhcp server in network 192.168.12.254, and I need that cisco wifi and lan clients get IP addresses from existing dhcp server.
I connect wire from network (with dhcp server) to FastEthernet0, create vlan interface (192.168.12.10 255.255.255.0), described vlan on other FastEthernet interfaces, so LAN clients get IP addresses from my dhcp server without problems, but how to do the same with wifi clients?

Follow this support doc because you need to trunk the AP to the router and specify the vlan the wireelss clients will be on.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-16145
Here is a doc that guides you through multiple vlans/subnets on access points:

hi,I have a question on sql database high availability. I have tried using database mirroring, where I am using sql standard edition, in this database mirroring of synchronous mode is the only option available, and it is giving problem, like sql time out errors on my applicatons since i had put in the database mirroring, as asynchronous is only available on enterprise version, is there any suggestions on this. thanks ---vijay
