Configuring cross company charge

Happy new year to all!
I'd like to know if anyone has been successful at configuring EBP to allow an user to charge across multiple companies in one shopping cart. If so, could you please provide some info here on how to go about setting that up? Or where I could find further information on cross company charge?
Greatly appreciated,
SN

  • Cross Company Charge

    Hello All,
Does anyone know if standard SRM allows a user from one company code to create a shopping cart and charge it to another company code? Is this controlled through the org structure attributes or does it involve the use of BAdIs as well?
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    SN

    Hello
I did not get your question clearly.
Do you want to create SC for cross company codes? What is your business scenario.
For cross company purchasing, maintain multiple Compny codes with attribute BUK for the user in the org structure. Then in the SC you can select the company code you want.
Charging to different company codes is something not logical to any business.
You cannot select the CC from other company code as they are tied up to each other in FI and you will get an error.
    Reward points if helpful.

  • Cross company purchases in SRM 7.0

    Hi all,
We recently upgraded from SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0.
Can anyone confirm whether we can configure cross company purcahses in SRM 7.0?
For SRM 5.0,I saw few threads which suggested use of BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADi to change the purchasing group but in SRM 7.0 is this part of std configuration?
    Pls advise.
    Thanks for your time.

What do you mean by "cross company purchasing" ?
You buy some materials between plant A1 from company code A and supplying plant B1 from company code B ?
If so, there is no limitation for this kind of purchase, neither in SRM 5.0, nor in SRM 7.0

There is no link in SRM between company code and purchasing groups. Purchasing groups are only linked to Purchasing Organization with cardinalities :
    1 Purch. Org : n Purch. Groups
    1 Purch. Group : 1 Purch. Org
For more details regarding purchasing groups, see thread below:

  • Cross company sale and billing process

    Hello Everyone,
Could you please help me to configure Cross company sale and billing process step wise..my senario is:-
End Customer(J090) order goods (R-797) to company code and sales org (U100/U151). The stock is not available in plant U111. The inter company plant CQ11 agrees to supply the material (R-797) to the end customer directly. Now i need to create two invoices 1. End customer invoice and 2. Inter company invoice to the ordering plant AN36.
    Comp code : U100
    Plant : U111
    Sales area : U151,DL,00
    Material : R-797
End Customer :J090with sales area U151,DL,00 and company
    code U100.
    Delevering company
    Comp code : CQ00
    Plant : CQ11
    Sales area : CQ11,DL,00
Please help me in this regard.
I shall be liable to u.
    Thank u
    Rikin

    Hi
    1. Assign the Delivering Plant CQ11 to the distribution chain U151+DL (Ordering sales org + dist.channel).
2, Assign Inter-company Billing type IV to your Order Type (e,g, OR).
    3. Assign the Plant CQ11 to Sales Area U151/DL/00.
    4. In XD01, create the Sales organisation U151 as a customer in the Supplying Sales area CQ11/DL/00. Then specify the customer number (e.g, 1111) against the Sales organisation U151.
    5. Supplying company code CQ00 should exist as a vendor for the ordering company U151.
    6. Now, maintain Pricing Procedure determination for the customer Invoice as below.
Customer Pricing Procedure (of the end customer) + Document Pricing Procedure (of your Order Type) + Ordering Sales Area (U151/DL/00) -
    >> RVAA01.
    7. Create condition record in VK11 for condition type PR00 on the level Ordering Sales org/End customer/Material (U151/End cust no/R-797).
    8. Create condition record for condition type PI01 on the level, Ordering Sales org/Supplying Plant/Material (U151/CQ11/R-797).
Mark the condition type PI01 as statistical in the Pricing Procedure RVAA01. It is cost for the ordering company (U100) but revenue for supplying company (CQ00).
    9. Maintain another Pricing Procedure (e.g, ICAA01) for Intercomp[any Billing as below,
Supplying Sales area (CQ11/DL/00) + Customer PP of the Internal customer created (e.g,1111) + Doc PP of the Inter-company Billing (e.g, IV) -
    >> ICAA01.
    10. In t.code V/06, for the condition type IV01(Inter-company Price), maintain/specify condition type PI01 as the reference condition.
We do not create condition record for Inter-company price condition type IV01. Infact, it takes the value from the ref condition PI01.
When goods are delivered to the customer J090 by supplying company CQ00, the Ordering company U100 will bill the customer J090 where the Pricing Procedure RVAA01 will be used (copied from the Sales order).
Next the Supplying company CQ00 will bill the Ordering company U100 using Intercompany Billing Type IV with reference to the Sales order, where Pricing Procedure ICAA01 will be used.
In the Inter-company Billing condition type PR00 also appears but in inactive mode. Condition type PI01 and IV01 takes the same value.
    Hope, this will help.

  • How to configure Funds Transfers, Cross Company Code Vendor Payments, Bill

    Hi All,
Can any one help me, How to configure Funds Transfers, Cross Company Code Vendor Payments, Bill of Exchnage Payments with Automatic Payment Program?
    Regards
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
This is what you need to do to configure <b>Cross Company Code Vendor Payments</b>.
Execute transaction code <b>OBYA</b>, when prompted, type in 1st coy code, say A and then 2nd coy code, say B. This would take you to the "<b>Maintain FI Configuration: Automatic Posting - Clearing Accounts</b>" screen.
In the first frame, where you have
    Posted in : A
    Cleared Against : B
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
    In the second Frame
    Posted in : B
    Cleared Against : A
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
So, if you are using the <b>Customer/Vendor</b> approach, company A must be set up as both a Customer(Use Txn Code <b>XD01</b>) and a Vendor(USe Txn Code <b>XK01</b>) in Company B and vice versa.
Once you have completed this set-up, you can then use transaction <b>F.13</b> and/or <b>F13E</b> to carry out your automatic clearing. Alternatively, whenever Payment Run is executed via transaction code <b>F110</b>, this would automatically clear out the payables and receivables in each company code.
However, if you intend to use the G/L approach, then the account numbers would be Inter-coy G/L account for each coy code as defined in the chart of accounts.
    I hope the above helps.
Do not forget to award the points please.
    Regards,
    Jacob

  • Shipping a configurable material on a cross company STO

I would like to know if there is any way that a configurable system can be shipped on a cross company STO.  I set up the STO with account assignment category of M and assigned the sales order so that the cost could be retrieved.  But when I try to deliver it, there is no option to deliver it with a special stock indcator of E.  Is it possible to add this to the movement type used for the cross company STO(type 643)?

    Hi Jud,
Yes it is very much possible to ship Configurable material through Intercompany STO, Please set up your  mvmt type 643 in OMWN , with 643 spl stock E with value and qty update, Consumption key E, Val String WA01, with one Transaction event key for GBB with account modifier VKA , and another line with same setting but transaction key PRD with account modifier PRA.
Similarly 101 should also be setup but since you are using Sales order stock already so I believe it wud be set up.

  • GL account determination for  vendor invoice in cross company sale sales

    Hi
we are planning to implement cross company sales scenario.
    High level design-
    1) Sales Order is in co code X and the delivery is from group company  lets say  co code Y
    2) The delivery from co code Y generates two invoices- one in Sales area of co code X for the final customer and 2nd in sales area of co code Y for the inter company
    3) The intercompany invoice has EDI output type (Sap standard delivered object is RD04).  The output generates a IDOC which has ability to post automatic vendor invoice in co code X crediting the inter company vendor Y.
    4) The automatic vendor invoice GL account determination is via customisation OBCB and OBCE
I have some questions around this , particularly if in the vendor invoice we have to account for material and returnable packaging
In my current project there would FG packed in returnable packaging in co code Y
For Export there would be a dedicated co code(X).
Co code X gets orders from customers; and creates sales orders in its sales area with delivery plant of co code Y.
Along with FG  returnable packaging is also charged as deposit  by - co code X to customer and Co code Y to Co code X.
so in the vendor invoice how to generate the following entry
    Inter company vendor              150 Cr
Cost of Goods sold         100 Dr
    Returnable Packages deposit    50 Dr.
Similarly when the end  customer returns the packaging generate the following entry via the cross company return order and intercompany invoice
    intercompany vendor 50 Dr
    Returnable packages 50 Cr
if you have worked on this kind of scenario and share how to customise  to post for FG and Returnable packaging separately in the automatic vendor invoice it would be great.

    Hi Pravin.
    Did you figure this out?
I'm seeing that via OBCB we can hit only one G/L account.
We also need to hit multiple accounts.
We've figured out how to hit this via user-exit, however I'm hoping that I've missed something in configuration and that a resolution via configuration is possible?
    Any ideas?

  • Cross company code downpayment posting error

    Hi,
When I am posting cross company code downpayment in F-48 getting below error.
"Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled".
    Vendor A/c (Company A)
    Bank clearing A/c(Company B) - Profit center 25000
Problem it is not deriving the profit center for Vendor reconciliation A/c. I have used document type KZ, check boxes "intercompany postings" and "trading partner" are activated in this document type.
Default profit center has made for Bank clearing A/c and Cross company code clearing A/c. Assigned Profit center 25000 for Company A also.
Kindly advice where I am wrong, which is the correct document type to post the Cross company code transactions (Down payment:F-48, charging-off GL open item to Vendor) to derive the profit center for Vendor reconciliation A/c? Or
How can I configure in New GL that the profit center should get derived from the Cross company code clearing A/c for above cross company code transactions?
    Best regards
    Shanid

    Hi Atif,
    Thanks again for your reply.
Since we have made Profit center as mandatory in New GL charactristcs this will give the priority to enter the Profit center as
Mandatory. As I mentioned earlier we required profit center in all lines.
I have tried whatever you have said, still it is not working.
It will be great if you give a solution for this.

  • Cross-company code postings - FI validation

    Hi,
We start using the cross-company code postings (transaction OBYA) between company code A and company code B and have to give authorizations both company codes to the Finance users. The idea is to have a set of G/L accounts which are allowed to be used when company code A and B are posted via cross-company code posting.
SAP recommends to implement a validation in FI to restrict the Intercompany scenatios. I attempted to create a FI validation for complete document (call-point 3) with no success:
    1)
    IC Rule: BSEG-BUKRS = A and BSEG-BUKRS = B and BSEG-HKONT IN ACCOUNTSET
    Prerequisite: TRUE
    Check: IC rule
Message: E-  Account & not allowed for cross-company postings
When I test it, the Intercompany clearing account configured in OBYA, and which is in ACCOUNTSET, shows up in the error message, which unwanted.
    2)
    IC Rule 1: BKPF-BUKRS = '0017' AND BKPF-BUKRS = '0005'
IC Rule 2: BSEG-HKONT IN ACCOUNTSET
    Prerequisite: TRUE
Check: IC Rule 1 --> IC Rule 2
Message: E-  Account & not allowed for cross-company postings
No error message is issued at all, even if the G/L account is not in ACCOUNTSET.
Please advise what I am missing.

    Hi Nitin,
    Thank you for your feeback.
I just wanted to clarify that the cross-company code posting is when company code A can intitiate a posting to company code B simultaneously (for example Intercompany re-charge, cash concentration, etc.). The trigger for cross-company code posting is the company code field on the line item. If company code A is in the header (BKPF-BUKRS) and at least one document line item filled up as company code B, the system created two documents for each company code, offsetting the Intercompany clearing account, configured in OBYA.
    For example:
Posting via FB50: Leading company code = company code A (BKPF-BUKRS)
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 1; Amount 200; Company code A (as a default)
Item 2: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 2; Amount 100; Company code B (manually changed)
    Item 2: Credit; G/L account 2;                        Amount 300; Company code A (as a default)
    The systen creates two postings:
    Posting 1: company code A
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 1; Amount 200;
    Item 2: Credit; G/L account 2;                        Amount 300;
    Item 2: Debit ; I/C Clearing Account;              Amount 100;
    Posting 2: company code B
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 2; Amount 100;
    Item 2: Credit;I/C Clearing Account;              Amount 100;
The only connection between the two is the cross-company code number (BKPF-BVORG), which assigned by the system once posted, as a logical connection.
I guess we could use a dedicated document type. If that's the case, how would the validation work then?
Coudl you please share more details on the BTE option?
    Thank you,
    Inna

***and by the way for the Invoice to work between Cross-Company Plants, you need also to have a Sales Org for the Supplying Plant and a Pricing Determination Procedure
    INTERCOMPANY PRICING:
PI01 Intercompany: fixed amount per material unit
PI02 Intercompany: percentage of the net invoice amount
These condition types specify that the price charged by the delivering plant to the sales organization is shown as a statistical value in the sales order and an effective charge in the internal invoice.
The condition records you create and maintain for intercompany billing are the same kind of records that you create for pricing in general.
    IV01 Inter-company Price ERLOS Revenue
    IV02 Inter-company % ERLOS Revenue
    STO CONFIG:
The following steps have to be followed in order to configure stock transport order between two plants.
    1. Create a vendor for the Company code of the receiving plant using account group 0007 via T-Code XK01.
    2. In the purchasing data view assign the supplying plant and the schema group
    3. Create customer with the sales area of the vendor.
    4. The shipping conditions, the delivering plant and the transportation zone determine the route in the STO.
    5. In the pricing procedure determination relevant to the STO assign document pricing procedure and customer pricing procedure to get the pricing in the invoice.
    6. Maintain condition records for pricing condition.
    7. Maintain carrier as a partner in the customer master.

Stock transfers that include deliveries and billing documents/invoices are only possible between plants belonging to different company codes.
If you want to carry out a cross-company-code stock transport order with delivery but without a billing document, you must set the Relevant for Billing (data element FKREL) indicator in Customizing of the item type to "blank" (Not relevant for billing).
The following applications are involved in this type of stock transfer:
    • Purchasing (MM-PUR) in entering the order
    • Shipping (LE-SHP) in making the delivery from the issuing plant
    • Billing (SD-BIL) in creating the billing document for the delivery
    • Inventory Management (MM-IM) at goods receipt in the receiving plant
Invoice Verification (MM-IV) at invoice receipt in the receiving
Transfer of goods from one location to another location, it may be between plants within the same company code or in different company code's plants.
within the company code, but plants,
receiving plant will raise the STO in Supplying/issuing plant-ME21n,
Supplying plant will deliver the goods to receiving plants ,
then we need to pick n post the Goods Issue-VL02n,
now when we can observe that the STO qty will be added into receiving plant and reduced in Delivering plant,
To do this, we need do prior customization in SPRO-IMG,-
material should be created in both plants( receiving & Supplying)
-maintain the stock only in supplying plant
-create a dummy customer in supplying plant's sales area(if u have one sales area, create in tat comp code n sales area)
-assign this customer number to receiving plant's details along with the sales area,
-Assign the STO doc type(UB) to Supplying plant, along with checking rule
-Assign the Del type (NL/NLCC) to Supplying n receiving plant.
*Del type=NL is not relevant for billing, where as NLCC is relevant for billing

  • Questions on Inter-company and Cross-company sales ordering process..

    Hi,
I understood the delivery plant and the sales org. is not in the same company code might be the process, but i want to know some details especially in SAP system how it is realized and processed, hope could kindly help me on below questions!! thanks!!
1)what is the difference between inter-company sales and Cross-company sales??
2)What is the general document flow and config. when in below 2 cases:
Suppose the 2 company code under same sap client system, then what kinds of company code, plant config within the system for inter-compan and cross-company, and finally what kind of document flow will it be in the system.
Suppose the 2 company code is under diff sap system, then what kind of doc flow in each sap system for inter-company and cross-company sales process???
    Thank you very much!!!!

    Hi,
Basically there are totally Three types of scenarios
    1. Intra Compnay Stock Transport Order
In this type of scenario, the stock is transfered between Two Plants which are under the same Compnay Code. The document type used here is UB. Here in this scenario the owner ship on the stock is not changed thats way there will not be any Invoice. The process as follows
    a. Create Purchase Order with document type UB - ME21N
    b. Create Replenishment Delivery with Document type NL - VL10B
    c. Picking and PGI - VL02N
Now stock will be shown in Transit, you can check this using T.Code MB5T.
    d. Do MIGO to receive the stock into ordering plant.
    2. Inter Compnay Stock Transport Order
This is called as Cross Compnay STO. Here the stock is sent from one plant to another plant which are in two different Compnay codes. That means the Ownership on the stock is changed in this scenario, that way there will be Intercompnay Invoice IV is reaised. Here the stock is just moved to one plant to another plant but not to any customer.
    The Process is as follows
    a. Create a PO using type NB - ME21N
    b. Create a Cross Compnay Replenishment delivery using type NLCC - VL10B
    c. Picking and PGI in VL02N
    d. Inter Compnay Invoice IV is raised by Supplying Compnay code to the Ordering Compnay Code - VF01
for this a customer created in Supplying Compnay who represents the Ordering Compnay and the invoice is raised against to that customer.
    e. MIGO to receive the stock in Ordering Plant
    f. MIRO to do invoice verification and do Vendor account update. This also can be done by EDI triggering, to update the Vendor Account. That means with this step, ordering compnay will update into its vendor account that he has to give certain amount to the compnay who supplied the stock.
    3. Inter Compnay Customer Sales
This is similer to the 2 process, but here instead of sending to Plant we will send the stock directly to Customer of other compnay code.
    The process is as follows
    a. Customer raises  normal sales order in another compnay code of type OR - VA01
    b. But if the plant of that compnay does not have stock, then in the order the plant is changed to other compnay code plant.
    c. Delivery is created in supplying Compnay against this Order - VL01
    d. Picking and PGI is done - VL02N
    e. But the stock is sent direclty to customer from supplying plant.
    f. Ordering compnay will raise normal invoice F2 to the customer
    g. Supplying Compnay will raise Intercompnay invoice IV to the Ordering Compnay.
But for all these process there are some configurations can be done, like
the material should be extended to both the plants
a customer is created in supplying plant who represents the ordering plant so that IV can be generated to that customer.
Supplying Plants should be linked to ordering Sales Org and Distribution channel. etc.
    Hope this is clear.
    Thanks

  • Error in cross company STO scenario

    Hi All,
We have a cross company STO scenario. When I try to create the PO (document type NB) I get an error that
"Customer XYZ does not exist (please change entry in plant ABCD)"
I have rightly assigned the customer XYZ to the plant ABCD as required in the IMG node Set up for stock transport order. Also the customer XYZ has been created. But I don't know why the system gives this error even when the customer has been created properly.
After debugging I found that this is because of some missing value in the field CCOMP (Stock tranfer category) in the EKPO table.
What is this stock transfer category? Am I missing some configuration here?
    Regards,
    V S

    Hi,
    Please check the following details;
Material should exist in both the plants (Delivering  & Ordering),
Internal customer should be assigned to the ordering plant ( MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Setup stock transport order -> assign the internal customer to the ordering plant and assign the Sales area of the internal customer.
Assign its Sales area to the delivering plant
Assign the document type and Delivery type  NB and NLCC
Assign the Supplying plant --> Receiving Plant --> NB
Take the delivering plant and assign the sales area.
Vendor master has to be created and assaign the supply source ( Delivering Plant).
    Create a puchase order ME21N ---> Save

  • Cross-Company Stock Transfer with Delivery and Billing

    Hello Fellow Experts and Friends,
I have a situation at a client in California. The client does Make-to-Order sales. The only materials kept in inventory are raw materials and NREs. This client has plants in several countries around the world but only two are on SAP. The current version is 4.6C.
The scenario goes like this. The plant in China (CC: 2020, Plnt: 0020) wants to order raw materials from the US plant (CC: 1010, Plnt: 0010). If the US plant does not have enough stock in inventory, an order needs to be placed with a local vendor. When all materials a re available to ship,we need to deliver to and invoice the China plant. Additionally, shipment notification needs to be sent to the plant in China.
IWould someone please be so kind as to helpme with a "Best Practice" process flow for Cross-Company STO with Delivery and Billing? I also need guidlines for customizing the process in the IMG. This process must include issuing a PO to a local vendor for ordering additional inventory. For the shipment notification, I was thinking of an EDI Advance Shipment Notice if the receiving plant uses EDI. I need a different option, If the receiving palnt does not use EDI.
I am open to your suggestions.
    Thanks,
    AJ

    Arthur,
Once this is correctly set up it works very, very well.  And the cross-company supply scenario is actually fairly simple, streamlined and automated.  However, this is NOT such a simple process to set up.
True cross-company supply, all the way through, requires a LOT of configuration which ties in SD, MM, FI, and EDI.  It uses "wrap-around" IDocs to do some of the cross-posting in other company codes.  There is also the issue of Intercompany markups, as well as Intercompany eliminations.
There are LOTS of folks who do the painful process of the FULL Order to Cash in one company code, and the full Purchase to Pay in the other.  But this is NOT the right solution and requires almost twice as much transaction processing.
Just for the Intercompany setup, start to finish, I've been working on a "cookbook" to set up all of the modules for almost 10 years now.  I've done it several times, at several companies and it works very well once it is all in place.  However, that cookbook document is about 100 pages long (config settings, IMG settings, master data requirements, EDI settings, etc.).
Also, in your scenario you are talking about multi-sourcing parts from other locations.  All of the related MRP settings are a separate setup issue.
What you are asking is WAYYYYyyy beyond the scope of forum posting.  So if your company or client could use some help, please feel free to contact me.
