My new Envy 4500 _IS_ on my network.
My new MacBook Pro _IS_ on my network.
I get to the configuration step and all looks good until I get the response below:

This is the second HP printer that I am trying to configure that is doing the same darn thing. I thought the first one was faulty, so I exchanged for a slightly different printer. This one has a control screen, so I KNOW that it's on the network. And I KNOW my computer is on the network, or I wouldn't be able to write this.
But they refuse to talk with each other. SO frustrating. I'm ready to give up on HP.

Found the problem. HP printers don't support AC Wifi. That would have been nice to know before I wasted 4 hours on 2 printers......

Mac unable to locate HP ENVY 5532 on network during configuration - device not reachable

I have MacBook Pro with OSX 10.9.5 and HP ENVY 5532. I have had it set up and configured for over a year but have always had a problem with scanning. Today after becoming frustrated that the scanning capabilities no longer worked, I found another thread which suggested re-installing the HP drivers and software here. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/Scanning-from-HP-ENVY-5532-to-Mac-with-Yosemite-operating/td-p/4819461 So I did a full install of the drivers but now the mac cannot even connect to the printer at all during the configuration process. I had been prompted to connect the USB to the printer if the device was not picked up during the configuration process, so I did that. However the printer cannot be reached by the Mac.   But I can see that the printer has sucessfully connected to the network. I can see it on the network which I log into the router and I can access it via it's IP address.   The printer is connected to the correct network.  I have also noticed that the printer itself is showing as a separate wireless network. I have no idea how this happened as I had been trying to do so many things to fix the scanning capabilities in the first place I may have somehow inadvertently set up this network!! Could the printer itself as a network be causing these problems?   ANy help would be appreciated.

Hello,  I had already re-installed the drivers from the HP website as shown in the link, so I went to the steps as below. Also the router I have has always worked with the printer before (not the scanning capability) but the printing has worked. So does this mean that it supports Bonjour as I have no manual?  These are the steps I followed: On the step to Print a Network Configuration Page, the network settings need to be checked . It asked to review the following Review the following sections on the test page.No Filtering: Pass or FailPass: There is no MAC filtering preventing communication between the printer and the router. No action is required.Fail: There is a MAC filter preventing communication. Refer to the router manual or contact the router manufacturer for steps on disabling MAC filtering.
My problem here is that I do not see any section on the test page for No Filtering but everything else appears ok.  In the next section Option one: My test page shows the correct SSID and a valid IP address when i get to step 5: Click the plus sign () at the bottom of the left pane. NOTE:Make sure that the printer kind is Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction.  First of all there is no printer to choose from and secondly I see no option to ensure that the kind is Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction     After clicking the + icon, you can see no printers are shown,  I think it is probably not much use to me to to do anything further right now until I see what feedback I can get from you.  IN the meantime, I will contact my internet service provider to make sure that the router they have supplied supports Bonjour.  I have tried to add the printer manually using the IP address and managed to print a page. It shows as following   However I am not able to scan. Photosmart C4385 "Device Not Reachable"

I know this has been addressed in other threads, but none of the solutions have worked for me and my configuration is a little different. So here goes:
I'm running OS 10.6 Snow Leopard with my C4385. My computer is connected to a wireless network via an extender. I don't know anything about the router other than it's probably a Cisco since that's in the network name. The router and extender are both in my landlord's house, so I don't have access to them to reboot, check settings, or anything. Until this morning my printer was associated with the main network, which worked fine, but the signal is very weak and I would rather have it associated with the extender network. I went through the HP Setup Assistant and now all I get is the "Device Not Reachable" error message, whether I use the extender or main network.
I printed a Network Configuration Page and typed the printer's IP into my browser, and it shows up just fine, saying it's connected to the main network. Print & Fax under System Preferences disagrees and I can't print at all anymore (except with the USB cable). The only thing I changed recently is switching to a manual IP address for my laptop since I had lots of connectivity issues with automatic IPs, but after that everything worked until this morning when I ran Setup Assistant.
Sorry for writing a novel. I wish I had more information about the hardware but my landlord's not very helpful with these sorts of things. Any advice would be great! I've tried scrubbing software and reinstalling it and resetting the printing system, with no luck.

I see a couple of potential problems, here.
First, adding the printer by IP is dicey. If the router changes the printer's IP (actually WHEN it does, because eventually it will), then your Mac may lose track of it. Plus, adding by IP usually only enables printing, not scanning.
Second, HP printers don't seem to play well with wifi extenders. Is there a way to move your printer so that it is connected to the main router, not the extender?

Envy100 "Device not reachable"

I have searched but could not find an answer to my question and appreciate any input.
I have just purchased an HP Envy 100 and my problem is that I cannot connect it wireless. iMac OS 10.6.7, HP Software 10.6, Airport Xtreme router, I can connect via USB to print but when setting up wireless I receive the following message " device not reachable" the printer provided an ip address in the network settings which i have tried to manually set this on the imac but to no avail. I also have an ipad 4.3.1v that cannot see it and along with an macbook pro 10.6.7v. that i cannot get it to work with. The printer is less than 2ft away from the airport extreme. There are no security password to the network and all computers are using the same network name. I have powered on/off and reset the printer. I have uninstall the printer software and rebooted and reinstalled but no luck.

Let's start over. From the front of the printer: Setup > Network > Reset Network Defaults. Now, from the same menu run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to the router.
Now, on your Mac let's reset the printing system:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
Finally, run the software again to connect your Mac to the printer.

I have a brand-new iPhone 5c and every time I try to repair the connection between my phone and my computer, I get the message "This device is not configured correctly (Code 1)."
What on earth does this mean, and how can I fix it?

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

Some Devices are not showing up at all in the Discovery reports

Hi all,
The first time I ran the CS device discovery I got 50 reachable devices. I scheduled the Device Discovery to be run every week. I added more subnets to the discovery but unfortunately the last discovery shows only 31 devices from the first discovered devices (50). I checked the DCR and there is only 44 devices out of the 50!
My question is:
Should not the scheduled Device Discovery discovers all devices -the previously discovered ones and the new ones-?
Why the rest of the devices are not showing up at all in the discovery reports (neither reachable nor unreachable) although all of them are pingable and responding to the snmpwalk tool from the CWLMS server.

I ran the discovery again with the same settings after enabling debugging and I checked the following log files:

Check the configuration on the EMC side. This error message is the heart of the problem:
"Unsupported LUN Addressing method 40 in response to REPORT_LUN"
A quick Googling leads me to believe this means you're trying to assign a LUN ID higher than 255 to the host.

Emu 1616m pcmcia cardbus driver installation errors: this device is not config correctly (code1)

Hi, can anyone help, I use a 1616m pcmcia card bus in my dell inspiron laptop, its been working fine no errors for the last year, then suddenly today, I go to use it and no sound, and my DSP reds out, and it states my hardware or drivers my need re-installing. So I have un-installed all software, drivers etc, Then when I insert the pcmcia card bus in, it reconizes it, found new hardware, I tell it to use the driver disc. This is ok, its installing the software, then I get the blue screen of death, crash!. Iv tried it countless times, clearing the registy etc, but if I dont get the blue screen I get an error that my hardware may not work properly blah blah and this error: e-mu e-dsp audio processor (wdm) this device is not configured correctly (code 1).
Do I have to factory reset my laptop and reload everything, days of fun.
Has my well looked after pcmcia card bus broken, just after the year is up!! the irony
Are there better pcmcia controller drivers than: ricoh r5c475(ii) and would they help this issue

Upon latest reboot, I also received this error message: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application."
Then I got the iTunesHelper not installed correctly error again.
Then the "Windows can't check for updates" error message.
Then "Apple Push has stopped working." Then a quick DEP error message that disappeared but said something about Apple Push being closed.
I'm also getting denials of service logged by McAffee. Not sure if I'm getting a virus/attack or not.
Not sure if it's a problem with my old desktop machine, my Windows Vista updates, or iTunes, but I'm very frustrated and out of ideas to try.

The device is not responding to the first IRQ level

I am using a DAQCard 700 with a NIDAQ 6.9.3 driver on a windows XP. When I install the card and run the configuration uitillity (MAX) and push the test resources button, the computer hangs and responds to no input (not even ctrl-alt-del). When I push out the PCMCIA card the error message: The device is not responding to the first IRQ level. Anybody that has an answer?

Hi PhilV,
It looks like you had an old AT board in a computer and then the power supply went out and you evidently also changed computers to a device with Windows NT. Now that you're in the new computer there appears to be some sort of IRQ conflict that is preventing the board from working.
In the past when I've seen this issue and all of the proper steps have been taken to troubleshoot it, the problem is often that the board died between the last use and the current use. However, it's not always the case, so here are a few other options.
First make sure that you have Traditional DAQ 7.4.1 (if you have LabVIEW 7.0-8.0 or are doing text-based programming) or Traditional DAQ 6.9.3 (if you are using LabVIEW 5-6.1). Then make sure that you followed the installation procedure outlined here: Product Manual: AT E Series User Manual (Chapter 2)
I did a quick search on ni.com for "device not respond base address" and "irq isa" and found some of the following KnowledgeBases and links that should help you properly troubleshoot the device.

There have been a lot of advances in DAQ boards since the old AT days, so with newer devices and computers issues like this are rarely seen. Hopefully though, the device you have is not broken and we will be able to find out what is wrong with it right now.

ISE 1.2 Guest Portal - This device has not been registered.

I have setup and SSID on my WLC. I got the redirecting to my ISE guestportal working.
However when I sign in I get a Device regitration Page
"This device has not been registered"
Unable to obtain the user information needed for network access.
The device ID is grayed out and blank.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated

P.S for those who needs the path ISE 1.2 Administration -> Web Portal Management -> Settings -> Multi-Portal Configurations -> DefaultGuestPortal -> Operations.
On another note
When I login - I get my acceptable usage policy.
Accept
Then get a Device registration Portal where I can add the MAC address.
Now I have two quistions.
When I add my test mac address the url redirects to myservername:8443/guestportal/AfterDevReg.action - unable to connect <- that's the one issue.
The other is - Can't I by pass the MAC? ie once the user is signed on to get access.
Curretly I have the following settings enabled.
Enable Mobile Portal
Allow guest users to change password
Guest users should be allowed to do device registration <- if I disable that after signon the page just flash back to the guest portal.

Can I simultaneously configure a device to more than one task? I am trying to trigger on some of the input data. When I tried to configure the same device to more than one task, I get an error:
Error -10408 occurred at Digital Group Config.
Possible reasons:
NI-DAQ LV: The specified channel is in use.
I have attached a copy of my VI. In the first and second sequences I am using device 1.

Hello;
The best way to have multiple tasks running on the same DAQ device is by syncronizing those in the hardware level. What I mean by that is, to use the same clock pulse train to clock the different tasks.
For instance, in case you want to do Analog Input and Analo Output at the same time, you can use the AI Start Scan (which is the clock pulse train that will clock the analog input task) to be routed to the AO Update clock (which is the clock that controls the Analog Output tasks of your device). You can extend that idea for counter operations as well.
For digital operations, if you are not using one of the digital boards that support strobed operations, such as the 653x ones, you won't be able to synchronize the digital tasks with the analg tasks, s
ince the digital ports updates through Software calls only.
You are probably getting that error because you are trying to use the Digital Group Config.vi (or some other VI that calls the Digital Config.vi) with a board that doesn't support handshaking operations, such as the MIO ones.

The device is not registered as part of iPhone Developer Program HELP! PLEASE! I WANT IT TO WORK!! I am not part of this program, how do I fixed it?

I'm having some big issues with my iPod touch 4g. It is new and when I want to configure it, I can't because it appears this:

After using the PCI-6025 E during an hour with the Measurement & Automation explorer 2.0 software, the message :�Le périphérique ne repond pas à l�adresse de base, voulez vous continuer?� or « the device does not respond to is base address, do you want to continue ? »
All the informations , even in the System Configuration Panel, seem to be in order. It seems that the problem occurs after I have tried to use also the Lab PC 1200 by the way of the Measurement & Automation explorer 2.0.
I have tried to:
� restart the software,
� stop the PC and restart it after a while,
� uninstall NI-DAQ 6.9.3 and all NI softwares
� Install NI-DAQ 7
The same problem was always here.
� stop the PC remove all the Cards except the video card
� restart the PC
� stop the PC and put only the PCI-6025E Card
The same problem was always here.
� uninstall NI-DAQ 7 and all the NI softwares
� stop the PC and remove the PCI-6025E Card
� Install NI-DAQ 6.9.3
� Stop the PC and install the PCI-6025E Card in another PCI Slot.
The same problem was always here.
I have each time try to change the number of the card by the use of Measurement and automation explorer 2.0 but with no success.
How can I do to use again this card?

Hey Nicolas,
Try opening up the Reset Device.vi inside of LabVIEW and execute the VI. All you have to do is set the correct device number and check that the error returned is 0 and not another error number. In many cases a crashed program can cause the devices to enter into an unsafe state that they need to be reset from.
It is possible that you damaged the device and that it will need to be sent in for repair, but in most cases a reset will fix the issue. Also, try opening up MAX and right-click on Traditional NI-DAQ Devices under Devices and Interfaces and click on reset Traditional NI-DAQ. If that doesn't work try the Device reset under DAQmx as well.
