Configuring DWS for "split" shifts (or multiple shifts in same day)

We need to set up a work schedule that spans a two week time period - employee works 42 hours per week - three 12 hour shifts and one 6 hour shift. The rotation is as follows:

Our issue is Wednesday of Week 2. The employees essentially works two shifts - 6 hours from 1am-7am, then 12 hours between 7pm and 7:30am the following day. We have tried configuring a Wednesday flex time shift for 11 hours between 1am and midnight on Wednesday and a 7 hour shift on Thursday. But when we enter hours in CATS for the Wednesday shift that span into the next day it automatically changes the end time to midnight. Since we can't guarantee the employees will clock out for their 30 minute break at midnight this will not work. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how we might configure this?

You can configure the Previous Day Indicator to assign the working times to the previous day.
Previous Day Indicator
The previous day indicator in Time Management indicates that the record should be assigned to the previous day. It is relevant mainly to daily work schedules which bridge two calendar days (e.g. 22:00 - 06:00).
Use
You only use the previous day indicator if you record time data with clock times. The daily work schedule assigned to the employee always applies to the day on which the start time lies in this case.
The information provided by the previous day indicator is therefore of central importance. There is no other way for the system to assign a record which has a start time a day later than the start time in the personal work schedule to the correct daily work schedule.
Planned working time 22:00 - 06:00
Record entered 02:00 - 05:00 -> previous day indicator
is set
Examples
The daily work schedule NIGHT 2 comprises a planned working time of 22:00 through 06:00. An employee works the night from December 14 to December 15, and works a substitution for his/her foreman from 02:00 through 04:00.
The previous day indicator was not set when the substitution was recorded. The substitution is therefore assigned to December 15 instead of December 14. This can lead to the following problems, for example:
Collisions with substitutions on the following day.
The substitution not being taken into account in payroll, as the following day is a Saturday and the employee does not have to work on Saturdays.

If your answer is to maintain two material codes i.e. one for apple-America & one for apple-Europe then you are wrong. If your answer is Split Valuation, then you are right.!
Steps:
We have to activate split valuation if you want to use split valuation. But by default split valuation is Active.To activate the split valuation:
tcode OMW0.
To differentiate between material stocks, you must define valuation category and valuation type.
The valuation category specifies which criterion should be used as the basis for differentiating between the various partial stocks.
The valuation type specifies an individual characteristic of a partial stock.
Go to tcode OMWC, create global types, then global category. assign global types to global categ. and then attach them to valuation area(plant).

Multiple birthdays on same day are not imported into a new calendar - only the last birthday for that day is imported into the calendar.
Any ideas what is going on?

Same problem with events from an iCal Calendar. I have an iCal Calendar that contains all the events I want included in my iPhoto Calendar - I use it every year, it has Birthdays and Anniversaries plus other important dates. It has worked fine in previous years using previous versions of iPhoto. In iPhoto 11, it only ever includes 1 event per day.
This also applies to Public Holidays
This is a major problem - the Calendar are unusable as it stands. It needs to fixed quickly as this is the time of year people buy their Calendars.

Upload client data to task server multiple times in same day

I am just getting started setting up the task server piece of ARD. My task server is an Xserve(PowerPC 10.4) and my client computers are mostly eMacs running 10.4. My client computers are all running Deep Freeze by Faronics which causes the hard drive to be restored to it's original state after a restart.
My question is - where does the report information about the client computer get stored before it is uploaded to the task server. Is it cached on the local client machine? My concern is that if the client computers don't upload their data until the end of the day and a student restarts a computer during the day we won't have a whole day of data recorded for that machine.
If this is the case, is there any way to upload the data to the task server multiple times in the same day?

I am collecting User History and Application Usage. Where is the cache stored - on the local client machine or on the task server? If it's stored on the local machine and one of the students restarts the computer the data will be gone because of the Deep Freeze program. That's why I'm trying to figure out a way to upload the data multiple times throughout the day.
I'm hoping that the data is cached on the task server so that I don't have to try to upload multiple times.

How to configure queues for sending IDOCs from XI in the same order receive

We are collecting IDOCs and sending them to XI using a background job (RSEOUT00) from R/3. When XI receiving these collected IDOCs, it's forwarding the received IDOCs into different queues for processing them and sending them to receiver system. Some times some queues are taking longer time to process the received IDOC and in the mean time the latest IDOC received getting processed and sent to receiver system. When the information related to this old IDOC is sent out to receiver system after the latest IDOC information is sent to due to delay in Queue processing, we are getting errors in the receiver system. Can somebody explain the steps to configure queues to process the IDOCs in the same order they received from R/3.

Calendar will not allow multiple appointments on same day

Using version 3.0 in an iPhone "classic," I am unable to enter more than one appointment on a given day in the calendar. Each time I attempt to add an appointment it deletes the prior appointment entered for that date. What gives???

Multiple shift registers in For loop

I'm using multiple shift registers to find the number of different string in a string array. However, the shift register got refreshed every time it finds a different string and returns back to 0. How can I have the register remember its previous value after it encounters a new string value?

You should think about making your code scalable. At the moment, you need to re-architect the VI from scratch whenever the sensor names or their number changes. If you suddenly have 1000 sensor names, the code would be unmamangeable because the sheer number of cases and shift registers!
Attached is an simple alternative. As you can see, the code remains the same, even if the number of sensors or their names changes in the future. See if it makes sense. (You can easily modify it to also count unrecognized names, for example).
Modify as needed.
Some other possible bugs in your VI:
You should initialize the shift register with zero, not one. Right now the results are one too high.
Case "B" is actually "B." and the count is only accidentally correct because it is also the default case and there are no other sensor names (e.g. F) in the input array.

Multiple shift depreciation - as per Indian Companies Act

Dear Friends,
I have problem configuring multiple shift depreciation. Facts of case are as below.
In one year
My plant runs 150 days in single shift = depreciation 4.75% for 150 days
My plant runs 100 days in double shift = depreciation 7.42% for 100 days
My plant runs 165 days in three shift = depreciation 10.34% for 165 days
How should i map this is sap. I can enter shift factor as 1,2 and 3. But how will i get depreciation rate as 7.42% for 100 days and 10.34% for 166 days.

As per my knowledge depreciation as per companys act only will depreciate as per the shift system(01 depr.area), As per Income Tax Act depreciation based on the lessthan 180 days or more than 180days in the fiscal year.
please check with your client how they are mapping in legessy system and let me know.

Is there a way to shift select multiple objects in layer palette, not just highlight multiple objects?
I would want to do this when I have a bunch of objects hidden under some other objects on the artboard. This feature is available in PSD, so I assume Illustrator should have it.

Highlighting object - click on object in layers palette & it turns blue
Select object - click on object in layers palette to the right of the circle, which creates a square, and selects the object on the artboard

Don't worry. If something was up, OnyX would have given you proper warnings and recommendations. On your next render, can you set the render logging to Extra per Frame Info? Also, if you don't mind, untwirl the render info and see, which parts it is processing. Either the life info reveals long file read and write times or the render log may reveal odd variations in teh per-frame render times. A common problem for instance with multi-processing are the first few frames being rendered very fast, but then a longer gap occuring inbetween because the program chokes on writing too many files at once. Similar patterns sometimes appear with network setups or - ultimately relevant for you - with RAIDs that use large cache drives. In the latter case often reducing or turning off the harddrive's internal cahe using the vendor's configuration tool can improve things...

Not sure about C# but I would suggest try removing file:// from
<include>file://pof-config.xml</include>and keep pof-config.xml and my-pof-config.xml in the same directory.

Firefox has always used Ctrl + left click to open links in a new tab and Shift + left-click to open a link in a new window.
Maybe a tab related extension can change that behavior.

Split data of 1st shift and 2nd shift

I have an SSRS report that displayed the production data. It consist of data from 1st-Shift and 2nd-Shift . My SSRS has a parameter with FromDate and Todate, Time. the default date is today's date. My requirements is to
obtain the data of 1st shift and 2nd shift on the same day and displayed into one report with separate column for 1st shift and 2ns shift. The 1st shift is always start at 6:00AM and end at 2:00PM while the 2nd shift start at 2:00PM and end at 10:00PM
Btw, This report is run every hour. THe objective is to gather how the production perform.
