Configuring guided procedure with Uwl

Hi experts,
Iam configuring guided procedure with Uwl.
First step : - the first step in it is to create a new system and it is of they type "com.sap.portal.systems.webservices portal archive (PAR)" , with url "http://<host>:<port>/GPWorkItemProvider/Default?wsdl" i have given this url.
Second step:- My second step is to be able to access and use the GPWorkItemProvider Web service, you have to configure the relevant Web service security options first:
Under Web Services, select Security Configuration -->Web Service Clients -->sap.com To be able to access and use the GPWorkItemProvider Web service, you have to configure the relevant Web service security options first:
Under Web Services, select Security Configuration --> Web Service Clients --> sap.com cafeugpmodeluwlproxy ---> com.sap.caf.eu.gp.model.uwl.proxy.facade*DefaultPort_Document.
.but i could not find this link there "sap.com cafeugpmodeluwlproxy ---> com.sap.caf.eu.gp.model.uwl.proxy.facadeDefaultPort_Document*"
give me a solution pls
thanks in advance

Sriramakrishnan-
Here is how you configure your UWL with GP:
1. Login as an administrator into your Enterprise Portal and navigate to System Administration -> System Configuration
2. Click on Universal Worklist Administration in the Universal Worklist and Workflow folder under Detailed Navigation
3. Click on the New button to create a new UWL System.
4. Provide a System Alias of your choice, and choose the Connector Type as GuidedProceduresConnector and click on Save
5. Initiate your GP Process and you should see it in the UWL of your processor: login as the processor and navigate to Home -> Work
I do not recall making any changes to any web services.
Cheers-

  • Guided Procedures with UWL

    Ciao SDN,
I am trying to configure Guided Procedures with UWL.
    I followed the guide <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6b66d7ea-0c01-0010-14af-b3ee523210b5">How to..configure UWL with the GP engine</a>
But when a user starts a task via UWL obtains the message:
<b>"Could not retrieve process instance: contact your system administrator"</b>
    Someone can help?
    Regards
    Luca

    Hi Luca,
I faced the same problem some time back, so I don't remember exactly, but let's see how we can solve this....
First of all I want you to have a look at this SAP Note, and do what's recommended in this:
<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_gp/~form/handler%7B5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d31303236313139%7D">Error by opening GP work items from UWL</a>
Follow the steps given in Solution. Remember that the file that you need to download ie <b>uwl_gp_config.TXT</b> has to be renamed as <b>uwl_gp_config.XML</b> before uploading.

  • Configuring Guided Procedures with the Universal Worklist

    hi experts,
Pls give me the steps to Configure Guided Procedures with the Universal Worklist....
I have the help file with me but it doesn't work ... and my configuration is NWDS 7.0 sp9.
    pls help me
    with regards,
    sriram

    Hi,
You can configure your system so that the tasks generated in Guided Procedures (GP) workflows, both on local and remote systems, are displayed in the Universal Worklist (UWL) together with the tasks pertaining to other SAP NetWeaver Portal work areas.
You perform the configuration steps on the consumer side:
           1.      Create a portal system, specifying the host name, HTTP port of the GP tasks provider and, if available, the WSDL of the relevant service.
           2.      Register the system as the item provider for UWL and configure it for remote access.
You establish the connection between GP and the UWL by assigning a system alias.
           3.      In UWL, browse all pending GP tasks assigned to your user.
You can only view tasks assigned to your user, that is, the logon ID of the user on both systems must match.
    Prerequisites:-
    a)  You have been assigned the System Admin portal role to be able to create portal systems and aliases. For more information, see Administration Roles.
    b) You have been assigned the Standard User role to be able to access UWL in the portal. For more information, see Default Portal Content for Standard Users.
    c) You know the host name of the system from which you want to retrieve GP tasks
Step by Step Procedure guide can be found out at
[Step by Step Procedure for COnfiguring GP with UWL|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/43/ef06a7860c7061e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm]

  • Guided procedure with SLA

    Hi,
Is it possible to have SLA for a GP process flow?
If any one worked on it please let me know your inputs.
Lets say i am going to have a GP to manage my Master Data in MDM. Each step in the process has a SLA time. How can I achieve it through GP?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,

    Hi,
You can use the due-date handling feature of Guided Procedure to implement the scenario. Refer the following document on due-date handling in GP:
[Defining Due Date Handling (SAP Library - CAF Guided Procedures)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/93/a45542f156be30e10000000a155106/frameset.htm]

  • Guided procedures with Webdynrpo ABAP

    Hi All,
I have searched this forum, but couldnu2019t find the exact thing which I am looking for...
    Here is the scenario,
    We are using WebDynpro ABAP.
WebDynrpo App 1 : Material request form
When the user submits the data on this application using submit button the application calls the client proxy that is generated  from the WDSL created form the GP side and it starts the GP process. GP process then calls the WebDynrpo App 2 which is approval form.
We generate a unique reqid for the material request and send it to GP when the user submits the information.
WebDynrpo App 2 ; Material approval form
Now how do we get that Process_id and taks_id associated with the workflow to read the requid to conitnue with the rest of the process?
For example if  you are using GP with BSP you use FM  "EUP_GET_BSP_INPUT_DATA" to read the data and get Reqid associated with it.
I am looking for similar kind of FM or class which serves that purpose.
Hope I was clear with my explanation.
    Thx
    Krishna.

  • UWL Guided Procedures and Substitution Rules functionality -  how possible?

We are using Guided Procedures with Custom Web Dynpro objects and need to utilize user/role substitution that is easily enabled in other AdHoc tasks using 'Manage Substitution Rules.  Unfortunately when creating and turning ON a substitution rule in the UWL all Guided Procedure Tasks are excluded and do not show up in the substituting person's UWL.
Does anyone have any ideas of how we can utilize Substitution Rules in UWL for all Guided Procedure tasks/steps?
    Thanks in advance
    -SteveW

    Hi SteveW!
The situation you're facing is the normal behavior from GP in relation with substitution feature of UWL.
Unfortunately GP doesn't support substitution as the other UWL connectors do.

  • Configuration of Guided Procedures for Adobe Forms

    Hi all,
we are about testing the Guided Procedures with Adobe Forms.
I found 3 documents here in SDN:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b9ea34c2-0701-0010-e2a2-d8e9cd6d85dc

My problem now is the configuration and the understanding of the "Web Service Security" in the Visual Administrator.
In the mentioned guides above it is written to choose "SLD" for the URL and the following three values under "Synchronize with System Landscape":
    System Name:
    WS Name:  {com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices}{AdobeDocumentServicesAssembly.jar}
    WS Port:  {com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices}{AdobeDocumentServicesAssembly.jar}ConfigPort_Document
    Now my questions:
    1. According to the guides it seems that the ADS must be installed on the same J2EE where the central SLD is running. Is that a must? I don´t hope so!
    2. What do I have to take for ? The SID and machine of the SLD or of the J2EE where the ADS is installed (this would be my own Portal)?
    3. My portal is of version Netweaver2004s SP10, my SLD ist of version 6.40 SP18.
Could this be a problem here?
    Thanks,
    Rossi

  • Work flow issue in Guided Procedures

    Hi,
I have one issue in work flow implemented in Guide procedures with Webdynpro java.
I have webdynpro application which developed and deployed in NW 7.0 SP3 version. The particular application request has suppose to be get approved by 5 users but after approving the 2 users, with out getting approved by other 3 remaining users it got approved the request completely. i need to trouble shoot this work flow issue. Can any body tell me how to troubleshoot this issue. why work flow not triggered for the last three users.
Please let me know what are the steps for trouble shooting or monitoring the GP issues.
    Thanks
    vijay

    Hi Vijay,
There are a few roles for  GP Administration. Once you assign these roles to your users, you can test , edit and trouble shoot Guided Porcedures, from Guided Porcedure Runtime Tab.
First ask the portal admin to assign these roles to you and then you can check what is wrong with the corresponding GP.
    Hope it helps,
    Sattam.
