Hi, we have a deployed BRM JCA Resource and now we're trying to Invoke an operation from it. How do we configure the .jca file to use in the third party adapter for it?

What exactly are you doing in the SAP Solution Manager - Maintenance Optimizer?
I assume that you are at least on SP 15 which is a prerequisite.
Currently a common error is a wrong maintained SMSY: Please check SAP note 1022072 for details.

How to configure domainValues file for BI apps?

I am configuring EAM analytics 7.9.6.4 with EBS R12.
I am following http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35287_01/bia.7964/e35272.pdf
In Section 16.2.2 Domain Values and CSV Worksheet Files for Oracle Enterprise Asset
Management Analytics with Oracle EBS
It says...
If you have modified or extended a seeded list of values, you must configure the CSV
files for Oracle Enterprise Asset Management Analytics by mapping values from your
source systems to the domain values.
Now in one of the files (domainValues_Status_EAMAsset_ora11i) the seeded values are...
W_STATUS_CLASS,STATUS_CODE,STATUS_NAME,W_STATUS_CODE,W_STATUS_DESC,STATUS_DESC
EAM_ASSET_STATUS,1,ACTIVE,Active,Active,Item is Active

and when i check in my EBS, the values are ..

Configuration's file for jvm lost

Hi,
I need to make changes in my configuration's file of my jvm but I can't remember where it is or its name. I seek manifest.* or configuration.*, but I had no succes.
Please someone tell me where I could find this file to give to my jvm the information :
java -Dhttps.proxyHost=http://xxxxxx -Dhttps.proxyPort=8080
at start.
I'm under linux mandrake 10 and I run jdk 1.4.2

I made a 'grep' and I found the file 'startup.sh' in /usr/local/tomcat/bin/
Is it the good file or is there another file for jvm ?
The command was already present in this file and I still have my problem of connexion with my servlet.

Does anyone know how or if it is possible to send the stdout and/or stderr to the log4j type of logging? I already capture the stdout and stderr to the flat file. But I would like to timestamp every line to compare and diagnose problems with each application that encounters problems. Each web app is using log4j to their own application log4j log file. When they encounter errors or resource draining problems, I would like to see the container logs and see what was occuring inside the container at around that same time.
Any ideas?

I figured out what my problem was here. The Windows user that the portal processes run as is the user who writes the log files. In this case, this user is a local user to the portal server and not a Windows domain user. This means that the user does not have access to write to the shared drive.
We had two options as to what we could do here. The first would be to change the user that's running the portal to a user that could write to that shared drive. The second option would be to have the portal write the log files locally on the portal server and then have a script run as a domain user on that server sometime in the day and copy the files to the shared drive. We are going with the second option.

How do I configure Log4J to log separately for each web application? i.e. Assuming, I have a web application "AWeb" and a web application "BWeb". I need a log file to be created for AWeb Separately and BWeb Separately. i.e. All the log information for "AWeb" web application will be stored in AWeb.log and all the "BWeb" web application will be stored in BWeb.log
Do you have any sample code and configuration details for the above-mentioned requirement?

You do not need to do anything strange, just use log4j the usual way with the exception that you do not need to init log4j (this is not necesary when using a log4j.xml.)
A minimal sample of a log4j.xml is

How to configure license file for Memory Leak tool and WL Server 9.2?

(I posted to general JRockit forum before realizing existence of this forum which is probably more applicable.)
Here's our problem:
Running latest version of WL 9.2 MP3 and JRockit Mission Control 3.0.1
Able to run Mission Control, and connect to the WL Server and to run View Console with no problems.
I can't get Memory Leak tool to run because it complains about needing a license file.
First I tried with off the shelf WL 9.2 MP3.
Get error:
A license for Memory Leak Detector could not be found on the JRockit at (1.5) weblogic.Server (192).
Error: Can not find component Memory Leak Detector for JRockit * in the license file. Please check http://www.jrockit.com/license for license updates.
So I downloaded license file from JRockit download site - wls92.zip. It contains several files, but no clear instructions on what to do with these files. I copied one of these files "LIC-WLSP92.txt" to my JRockit home as C:\bea\JROCKI~1\jre\license.bea
Tried again. Restarted WL server. Restarted JRockit Mission Control.
Get error: A license for Memory Leak Detector could not be found on the JRockit at (1.5) weblogic.Server (3052).
The license file does not exist at: C:\bea\JROCKI~1\jre\license.bea
Any advise on how to install license or who to contact for help?

Csv files for OBIA procurement and spend analytics

hi,
which csv files we need to configure in order to install OBIA 7.9.6.3 procurement and spend analytic for EBS R12 1 3 as source?
In documentation, oracle given set of files for 11i & R12? do we need to configure csv files for both version ???
As per documentation,counter files for , CSV files req for source as 11i are not there in R12???
please guide???

To be safe, configure all of the domain value files documented in the section http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E20490_01/bia.7963/e19039/configsupplychain.htm#CACIEBBH
Do this regardless of whether they state 11i or R12 in the filename. Some of the files have not changed from 11i adapters, so the filenames have not been updated e.g. domainValues_Employee_Expense_Type_ora11i.csv

Create msk file for masking

I wanted to ask if anyboday has the experience of converting a .JCA file into .MSK file?
I have the .JCA file of my applet and I should mention that I have used API of the following packages in my applet:
//java/lang
//javacard/framework
//javacard/security
//javacardx/crypto
I read this description about producing .msk file from a .jca file:
"You specify as input to the mask generator the JCA file for the package that contains the applets, as well as JCA files for any other packages to be included in the mask file, such as JCA files for any needed Java Card API packages"
So, I wanted to ask where I should find .jca file of the mentioned java packages? I used this command in command prompt to produce .msk file

Business service NOT getting configured from jca file in Windows 7

I am faced with a problem in Windows 7.
In one machine with Win XP as OS, when I create a business service from a JCA(.jca) file, the Endpoint URI gets configured automatically with jca://<jndi name>/... and having protocol as jca.
But, when I do the same in Windows 7, the endpoint URI is not getting configured neither do I find a jca option in protocol so that I can configure it manually.
The probable reason I sense, is that some files(may be jar or others) are not getting the acccess required by OEPE.
Any suggestions, which jars or files are required for the configuration to be correct??? I mean for the JCA protocol to come up ??

I could create a JCA business service on windows 7 64bit without any issues. Can you follow below points and let us know the result -
1. Make sure that you are running eclipse as administrator. right click on "eclipse.exe" and select "Run as administrator"
2. Make sure that file $OEPE_Installation_Dir\dropins\oracle.osb.ide.link has a valid OSB home entry like below -
path=E:/ofmw11g/mw/Oracle_OSB13. Make sure that below directory exists -
$OSB_home\eclipse\plugins\com.bea.alsb.transports.jca_1.1.0
For e.g. - my setup have E:\ofmw11g\mw\Oracle_OSB1\eclipse\plugins\com.bea.alsb.transports.jca_1.1.0

When you configure the Connection Factory for FTP Adapter in Admin Console,along with the hostname, username, password, port; we also need to give the path of remote location as where
you want to write the file in remote Server. While configuring the Connection Factory, find the attribute called ftpAbsolutePathBegin. Please fill this
attribute with the path like /soa/ftp/file (example path)
Also , try to bounce the server and test the same...
