Hi there,
NWDI Installation and configuration is bit complex and there are lot of steps involved in it.
Follow this [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/63/7a4d40eae76f13e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm] and you will get all required info. Let me know if you don't get something from this.
Thanks

  • Configure NWDI in ce

HI guys, is there NWDI in ce? If there is not, should i user NW7.0? Are there any document about configuring NWDI IN CE7.1?thanks

    Hi,
For Composition Environment 7.1 , you can reuse
the existing NWDI server running on NW 7.0. If you need to setup a new NWDI server in your system landscape, please install the latest release (currently NW 7.0) and update
the installation to the latest support pack level.
[This doc |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/7014086d-3fd9-2910-80bd-be3417810c6f]is helpful for you.

  • Setup NWDI in existing Landscape

    Hi All,
We have a ECC landscape with ABAP+JAVA with Dev QA and Pre PRD. On Oracle 10.2.0.4 and Windows with sufficient amount of resources.
We want to introduce NWDI in our landscape so my questions are as follows:
Can we add NWDI in our current dev Java stack?
Or we have to set up a standalone server for NWDI?
We are goign to migrate our DEV to 64 bit this weekend so is there any possiblilty we can add NWDI in this process?
ANy inputs will be much appriciated.  links notes .....
    Shailesh

    HI,
as you said you are going to move your dev to 64 bit..i have no idea  if you can install NWDI at this point
but, you can get installation guides from SAP service market place.

    Satya.

  • Visualizing SAP XI routing configuration across the system landscape

    Hi Experts
Iam facing some challenges in visualizing SAP XI routing configuration across the system landscape (Development, Quality, Production). Basically routing is based on a field (technical target system). Depending on the environment we have different target systems (different Mainframe DB that represent the same target system) configured.
Any word/excel/ppt/pdf templates or any comments that could help visualizing routing would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks! Santosh

    Hi Santhosh,
If you are worrieed about how your Business Systems will change when you move from Dev to QA to PROD for the Configuration in your ID, then the answer is simple.
You can create transport target for your Business System and so when you migrate the ID objects from dev to Qa and so on, the business Systems will be automatically replaced.
Take a look at this blog,

  • SP Version in Configuring NWDI

    Hello Experts,
I am in the process of configuring NWDI, my doubt is i have deployed NWDI SP14 files but my JAVA   WAS is of SP15? Will both be compatible?
I looked at this forum How to Install NWDI on SAP NW 2004s SP7 but those are for earlier version... Still that is applicable for all the SP's?
    Thanks
    Gopal

... and as addition, mostly it would work, but as pascal said, try to have your J2EE engine components on the same level. And there shouldn't be any problems to apply the new stack (depends on your hardware), but for the three NWDI packages this shouldn't take more then 15 mins.

    Thanks.

Thanks a lot for the valuable help your providing till now....
I havent done anything with SLD till now... Once i installed and upgraded my server i started to work with "Initial setup of functional unit Development Infrastructure (DI all-in-one)" ...
yeah...   http://<host>:<port>/devinf, is working fine and i was able to log in to CMS and i was able to find a track SANDBOX created and in the Transport Studio 's Development tap i was able to find sap.com_SAP-JEE (waiting for Import), sap.com_SAP_BUILDT(waiting for Import), sap.com_SAP_JTECHS(import failed) components.
By Skiping that error process i was able to successfully able to create a track called SANDBOX and in http://<...>:<...>/devinf under show track list iwas able to view
SANDBOX ( ID: SANDBOX | Desc: Sandbox for Learning, Demo and Prototyping )
    Development
              CMS: Change Management Service
CBS: Component Build Service ( http://<...>:<...>)
              DTR: Design Time Repository ( http://<....>:<...>/dtr )

             CMS: Change Management Service
             CBS: Component Build Service ( http://<...>:50000 )
             DTR: Design Time Repository ( http://<...>:<...>/dtr )
And in my NWDS i tried to import the development configurations but am getting this following error
com.sap.tc.devconf.SyncException: Could not create mountpoint for SC in compartment example.org_MYCOMPONENTS_1: Checking existence failed for /dtr/ws/SANDBOX/example.org_MYCOMPONENTS/dev/inactive(Forbidden [(pre||post)-condition failed: DAV:access-denied])

  • Configure NWDI \ Connect systems to NWDI

    Hello!
I'm absolutelly new in tis so i need professional's support.
I've installed system with DI component. Used Wizard to deploy NWDI with CMS (as i can see SLD now started, some configuration in DRT and CMS apears also).
Now i have 3 BPM systems (Dev, Q and Prod).
    What should i do next?
How to connct this 3 system to use NWDI?
I reading sap help but its not clear for me.
May be sombody have good manuals for starters (idiots)?
    Any help would be nice!
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
what you found is an old description for 640/700. I am not sure BPM existed that time.
What you need to do on the other hand is the same with slight differences.
First you need to find out what is the release you intend to develop for. Assuming you use 7.3 you can see in the corresponding note (1457908 - Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in 7.3 Track) which SC dependencies to use from BPM when you build you product (creating your custom SC in SLD and specifying build time dependencies).
Once you finished in SLD, you need to trigger "Update CMS" in CMS webui (Landscape Conf --> Domain Data) and create the track where you add you custom SCs (with the SC dependencies configured previously in SLD). After that you need to make sure the SCs are physically available in your <transpor folder>/CMS/inbox  (find your transport folder by checking it on the Domain Data).
Once the files downloaded from Service Marketplace and put to the transport folder, you need to Check-In (CMS webui --> Transport Studio - select your track -- you find check-in on the first tab).
If it is checked in you need to import to Development and Consolidation. If it is done then you can start your NWDS and import the corresponding development configuration.
    I hope this helps.

    Ervin

  • Configuring NWDI and CMS

    Hi,
We did a Development portal installation (DEV) with NMDI and finished the DI post installation in the DEV system and configured my SLD in solution manager. Now we are going to install Portal Quality system (QAD) with NWDI. I need some documents after installing QAD system, like DI post installation and CMS configuration from quality to development system. I mean to say that, DEV as a Domain controller and QAD to include in that CMS. Before doing the DI post installation in QAD, do I need to change the Domain data of change management in Quality like CMS name, CMS url, CMS user, password, trans dir, Domain ID(if so,Can we change this ID to DEV), DTR url, CBS url. If so, do I need to give the datau2019s of Development system? or how to configure my quality system CMS to development system CMS. I found some links but there is no link that says about the configuration in development.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Ral

    Hi Narendra.
    Thanks for reply.
While defining Software Component, I created a Build Time Dependency on these components and chosen SAP-JEE, SAP_BUILDT and SAP_JTECHS components.
While defining a Track under Domain in CMS (Landscape Configuration) i am not getting these dependent components under my SC.
So after adding SC to my track, i again Defined Dependencies on my SC. Now i can see these components under my SC but gives warning that "SC Dependencies are different but accepted by synchronization" and status of SC is yellow.
    Please suggest.

  • Error in configuring NWDI - by using configuration wizard

    Hello,
I have installed CE 7.1 and like to install NWDI. It requires me to execute some configuration wizards from administratio tool of the NW CE server. I am following the configuration guide for NWDI and initiated a "Change Management Service (CMS): Create an Application Skeleton". It asks me to provide a CMS URL when I give it http://localhost:50000 or http://cmsmain.localhost:50000 it give me an error that CMS is not running or the URL is not correct like this.
I got to know that CMS is builtin in NWDI and NWDI is builtin in NW CE 7.1. How to check whether CMS is installed. Or any idea to configure the NWDI.
    Regards,
    Naeem Khan

    Hi Alexander,
You may be right. I am installed trial version for the moment. But I have installed ESR as additional comoponent which I have downloaded from Service Market Place. Let's try!!!!!
But the problem is that I have seen there are several components If I go Support Packages and Patches" -->SAP NetWeaver" -->SAP NETWEAVER" SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW CE 7.1" -->Entry by Component" NW Development Infrastructure
what for components should I require from this site??? and how to deploy them on my server??? Unlike ESR there are SCA files which I am not sure how to deploy them on my server!!! If you know please let me know.
    Regards,
    Naeem

  • Managing Consumer Proxies and related configuration in the System Landscape

    Hi,
I have successfully created and tested the Consumer proxy in our development server.
Scenario background: A Java Web Service has been developed and deployed on the Portal server which i am consuming in ECC6.0 in ABAP.
We would soon need to move it through the system landscape concerning which i have the following queries:
    1. The Consumer Proxy was created with the WSDL URL of the Development Portal server. I checked the Consumer proxy and did not find any signature of the WSDL URL in the Consumer proxy object generated. Can we therefore transport this consumer proxy to QA/Production without any issues?
    2. The Logical port configuration - What's the standard used in its maintenance across the landscape? Will we need to manually do it in every system? Can this also be made generic and transported across the landscape?
    regards
    Nitesh

    Hi,
Logical port you can create in two ways.
One using LPCONFIG and other is using the SOAMANAGEr.
When you create a logical port using LPCONFIG you get the Customizing transport request which is client dependent. you can move this to any land scape. Only the thing we need to do change in the port is just accessing URL.
But the latest transaction SOAMANAGER does't give any transport number. I guess there should be a way for this too. If not then there is only one choice left is configure on each client.
    Thanks,
    Kishore.

  • Configure NWDI for local development Server only.

    Hello Gurus,
I have a Netweaver 7.0 AS JAVA + ABAP installed in my local machine.
I wanted to create a Development Track for NWDI based development, but when i go to Change Management Service for to create a track I see that CMS domain is not setup!
Can anyone help me in configuring my AS JAVA's NWDI to use only one DEV server(for practice purposes)
    regards,
    Ganesh

    Hi,
    you have 2 options.
Either you run the DI-All-in one configuration wizard from the NWA which helps you amongs others to configure the NWDI domain,

    Or you do it manually.

  • Need advise on Installation and Configuration NWDI frame work.

Our SAP R/3 is  4.6C and here at nVidia we are very new to SAP Netweaver world, we have already implemented EP 6.0 and XI on NW04 SP 13 and we are very close to go production.
Going forward we are planning to implement ESS, MSS, xRPM 4.0, CRM 5.0 with some customization to use the features like Guided Procedures(workflow capabilities outside of R/3), Composite Application Framework, Mobile Infrastructure for Help Request, workflow, myCRM etc. Apart from this, our custom developed intranet runs on .NET and some day it will move into SAP EP.
We are currently planning on building our Development Infrastructure (i.e. SLD->NWDI-> Dev->Qa->Prod) to implement  above mentioned new product with some customization.
Currently our EP6 and XI are on NW04 SP 13, but we heard that Guided Procedures, Composite Application Framework only works with SAP NetWeaver 2004s and Mobile Infrastructure need Dual stack (ABAP + Java addin).
So we are currently little confused on how to build our development infrastrucre to support above products and any advise is highly appreciated.
    1. Should the Development, Congregate, QA, Production machines have WAS 6.4 J2EE or WAS 6.4 with (ABAP + Java Addin) to support both custom java & ABAP development, at this point we are only planning on developing/customizing Java based apps/components.
    2. We also need to Install Mobile Infrastructure, so should our MI go on top of Development, Congregate, QA, Production machines, in which case it needs to be WAS 6.4 with (ABAP + Java Addin) and not just J2EE stack, because MI needs both stacks Or should the MI be on its own boxes and configured to connect to NWDI servers.
    3. We heard that Guided Procedures, Composite Application Framework only works on net weaver 2004s, in which case should our development infrastructure be build on net weaver 2004s or NW04 SP 13.
4, If we go with NW04 SP 13, will there be a path to upgrade to net weaver 2004s so that we can implement Guided Procedures, Composite Application at a later point.
    5. How will net weaver 2004s work with our current EP & XI infrastructure which run on WAS 6.4 sp13
Once again your help is appreciated.

    Hi,
I'd say - Stick to your plan and configure all InternalURLs to be the same as the ExternalURL, the name you have in your certificate. The same goes for AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri. The key is to have Split DNS set up
    See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940726
That is what most people do, even the one that can add their internal FQDN name to the certificate.

  • URL for configuration in HTTP SUBMIT button --urgent

    Hi All,
I am in development of a urgent interactive form and I am new this. My aim is to build a interactive form ( SFP) and then place a HTTP Submit button and post the data back .
I went through the documentation and understood that W can send data in XML format back and in the server end we need to write the program to read it .. Writing progaram is ok for me . but I need to know What is the URL I in the HTTP button ( is it IP of the server ) or some other details .. how will this trigger my custom code ...
    Regards
    Abhilash

    Hi Abhilash,
URL is url of your page, for example http://www.mydomain.com/mypage.htm. You can read more in Adobe LiveCycle Designer Help. Nevertheless the control Button from group Standard is better. Set property Control Type in tab Field to Submit and then fill new tab Submit.
If you use WebDynpro for online scenario you needn't this buttons. In such case use a button Submit from the group Web Dynpro ActiveX (if you use xACF layout) or a button Submit from the group Web Dynpro Native (if you use ZCI layout).
