Configure grid alert to mobile via SMS
Hello All,
We have oracle Grid control installed and it is sending us the email notifications. Now we want only critical alerts to be rooted to mobile by means of SMS.
Does anybody has worked on configuring this?
Please share ..
Thank you,
Anil Malkai.Hi,
We don't support sending of SMS notifications directly, however many of our customers have it working with support from their cell phone service providers. Specifically, the requirement/assumption is the SMS device should have an email address to which EM can send the email messages. The cell phone service provider should be able to help in identifying the associated email address of a cell phone. They should then configure the SMTP gateway settings in EM in order for EM to send email messages. In EM, they should also specify the EM user's email address (associated with the SMS device) to use the short-format notifications. Short format notifications results in sending messages in plain-text mode.
Refer to the Notifications chapter of the EM Administrator's Guide for details on setting up the SMTP gateway, and specifying email addresses for a user.

How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down
Hi everybody,
How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down status?
Regards,
Miguel VegaHi Miguel Vega,
Information regarding the notifications:
==============================
Configuring notification rules in 12c is different from earlier releases.
The concept and function of notification rules has been replaced with a two-tier system consisting of Incident Rules and Incident Rule Sets :
1. Incident Rules: Operate at the lowest level granularity (on discrete events) and performs the same role as notification rules from earlier releases.
By using incident rules, you can automate the response to incoming incidents and their updates.
A rule contains a set of automated actions to be taken on specific events, incidents or problems.
The actions taken are for example : sending e-mails, creating incidents, updating incidents, and creating tickets.
2. Incident Rule Set: A rule set is a collection of rules that applies to a common set of objects, for example, targets, jobs, and templates.
To help you to achieve the Notification Rules configuration, refer those notes :

How to configure an Alert message if communicationChannel(JMS) stops
All,
Is there a way how to configure an alert when the communication channel stops.
<b>Scenario:</b>
In the path Runtime workbench->Component Monitoring->Adapter Engine->Communication Channel monitoring, if we see that a communication channel has stopped(RED traffic light as Status), then can we trigger an alert notification for same.
Currently we have alrerts configured for any message/s failure in the JMS Adapter Framework. So can we trigger simmilar alerts when a comm channel stops(for whatever reason).
Thanks in advance
RKHi Sreeram,
Thanks for the quick reply.
We have a scenario where we activate individual channels at a given time. So in this case, Adapter will always be in RED as all queues are never running in our scenario.
So we need an ALERT to be triggered for individual comm channels. Is theer any way that you can think of ?
Thanks and regards

how can I edit external e-mails accounts configurations I had on Mobile Me mail and now are
on iCloud? Thanks for the answer, but the external POP accounts I had in my MobileMe are working in my iCloud! I receive all the e-mails that are directed to those POP accounts, in my iCloud e-mail, since I migrated from Mobileme to iCloud. So, iCloud accepts external accounts, but i doesn't allow us to edit new configurations or to send e-mails using Pop Accounts through it. Very weird. Does anybody have a solution?

Hi,
I have an issue in receiving OEM alerts if archive destination > n%. I'm trying to receive email notification if archive destination > 95%. In the target database, I set Metric and Policy Settings Archive Area Used (%) to warning 95. Then, in preferences rules, I created a rule with checking e-mail notification as below:
Archiver Hung Alert Log Error All Objects Critical, Warning, Clear
Archiver Hung Alert Log Error Status n/a Critical, Warning, Clear
Archive Area Used (%) All Objects Critical, Warning, Clear Succeeded, Problem Succeeded, Problem
All notifications setup are correct because I'm recieving alerts for tablespaces usage.
I checked log_archive_dest in both init and spfile, all are set correctly.
Please advise what am I missing.
Thanks in advanceYes, I even changed that to > 1% and copied files to the destination to make sure that the space used >1%.
I still did not receive any notification :( -
Alert Configuration & Mail Alert
Dear All,
I have configured the alert configuration using the blog:

but still I am not getting any error message in the Alert Inbox, eventhough i receive an error message in SXMB_MONI as

Now my query is why was this message not shown as alert in alert inbox in RWB.
Also incase if I get an error message in SXMB_MONI or any alert in alert inbox, how could i send this as an email for any error that occured. along with a file name may be for trackinh purpose.

NithiyanandamHi,
Please Check this thread:
Alert configuration
You can test the alert by executing the report : RSALERTTEST.
For sending mail through SAPconnect
Use following T-codes
1. SCOT.
-for maintiang the routing server details and to mention domain name.
2. SU01
--- maintian the email ID for the user who will recieve the mails.( Users should be in the Alert fixed receipent list).
Hope this will do for you.

Alert configuration or Alert Inbox-----404 Not Found
Hi,
In RWB, When I click Alert configuration or Alert Inbox
the following message is displayed
404 Not Found
SAP J2EE Engine/6.40
The requested resource does not exist.
Details: Go to main page of this application!
Is this due to installation problem ?
How to fix this ?
Thanks,
ssHi,
check the following entries in your Exchange Profile:
com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost --- Must be full qualified
com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport --- 80<SysNo> or see SMICM -> Goto -> Services: http-Port
Normaly you only need to refresh you RWB with the following link:
http://<System>:<Port>/rwb/rtc?op=init
if this doesn't work try to restart the complete ABAP Stack.
Good luck!

How to configure CCMS alert to monitor Authorization failures?
Dear All,
How to configure CCMS alert to monitor Authorization failures?
Thanks
AshokHello,
in case you have not yet set up your monitoring infrastructure, the following link will provide you with the information needed:
http://service.sap.com/monitoring
If everything is set up (Agents are installed and connected to your central monitoring system, ...) you can go to transaction RZ21, select Technical Infrastructure - Configure Central System - Assign Central Autoreactions to set up your alerts.
For the Update errors use the MTE CLass AbapErrorInUpdate. For the Lock please use the search Option.
