Configuring Partners in Seeburger

Hi,
We recently got requirement to work with AS2 adapter and we are using SAP PI with Seeburger AS2 Adapter. Can anyone please tell me how to configure the business trading partners (AS2 partner Ids) in seeburger environment. From where we get these AS2 IDs?  The AS2 IDs used in parties need to be configured somewhere in the Seeburger environment. Can anyone please tell me where to do it and how to configure.
Thanks & Regards
Priyanka

Hi Priyanka,
>>>From where we get these AS2 IDs?
AS2 IDs are the identifiers for Trading partners.  The AS2 IDs are decided and mutually agreed between the trading partners. Lets say two trading partners A & B decide on using the following:
AS2 ID for Trading Partner A  ---> 123PARTYA
AS2 ID for Trading Partner B  -
> 987PARTYB
Now, in all communications (exchange of messages) between these two trading partners, the same values will be used during communication.
So, while defining the parties in XI/PI, we add an entry for each sender/receiver party with the following values:
Agency ---> Seeburger
Scheme ---> AS2ID
Name ---> VALUEOFAS2IDFORTHISPARTNER
Please search the Seeburger documents from Seeburger installation directory which defines the steps of configuration in detail.
I hope this helps.
Regards, Gaurav.

  • AS2 adapter-- Module tab configuration to call seeburger std mappings..!

    Hi Experts,
Seeburger has been installed and i want to use AS2 adapter to make use the seeburger standard mappings.
When i opened the module tab, its been found that for
    Sender AS2 adapter:
    Module Name                                     Module Key
    localejbs/Seeburger/solution/as2             solutionid
    localejbs/CallSapAdapter                         exit
    Module configuration
    _Modulekey      ParameterName               ParameterValue_
    Solutionid           Mappingname               SEE_ORDERS_UN_...
can i use the above steps??
Is solutionid is enough to call the seeburger mapping?
    or
do i need to use the Bic module to call the seeburger std mapping like below?
    Module Name                                    Module Key
    localjbs/CallBicXIRaBean                         bic
    Module configuration
    Modulekey     ParameterName               Parameter Value
    Bic               Mappingname              SEE_ORDERS_UN_...
    Kindly let me know.
    Regards
    Krupa.

    HI,
For module configuration for As2 refer the below help.
    Sender configuration:
AS2 identifier is the party identified which will be provided by the WAN network provider.
    Under the party identifiere tab
    Agency will be seeburger
    Scheme=AS2ID
Name = WAN network no of the partner who is sending the file
Few changes in the module parameter tab.
    localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean bic
    CallSapAdapter 0
    Module configuration:
    bic= destSourceMsg = MainDocument
    bic= destTargetMsg = MainDocument
    bic= mappingName= See_E2X_EDIFACT_ORDERS_UN_D93A
    Receiver AS2 adapter configuration:
When the adapter is used in a receiver channel, it obtains a message from the Integration Engine and sends it to a business partner. In this case, the following steps are required:
    1. Define the channel as a Receiver channel on the Parameters tab
    2. The last step ensures the module sequence is complete:
Make sure the module ModuleProcessorExitBean does exist in the module sequence:
    Module Name=localejbs/ModuleProcessorExitBean
    Type=L
    Module Key=Exit
    • with the following module parameter:
    Module Key=Exit
    Parameter Name=JNDIName
    Parameter Value=deployedAdapters/SeeXIAS2/shareable/SeeXIAS2
Refer the below thread which has the same discussion.

  • Multiple Partners for the same customer in Message tracking of SEEBURGER

    Hi,
This is for third party customers which use EDI messages. We have for one customer multiple partner numbers configured in Partner profile. I would like to know while configuring the trading partners in SEEBURGER Message Tracking, can we have multiple keys for the same customer for multiple partners for an INVOIC02. Like the following keys:
    12345_INVOIC02
    34567_INVOIC02
    45678_INVOIC02

    Hi Satya,
you can define for a vendor/customer several partner functions with different
adresses. You can create certain partner roles several times.
If you create a purchase order, than you can choose the wanted
address and partnerrole on the header level. In the standard system you
can use the patner role 'OA' ordering address and for the finance
    the 'IP' Invoice presented by.
I hope I was able to help you.
    Kind regards,

  • SEEBURGER AS2 Adapter Security

    Hello,
I am running into an issue on the install of the SEEBURGER AS2 Adapter.  We currently have other AS2 communication software in place, which are in our DMZ for security purposes. However, we do not want to put our SAP XI server in the DMZ because we would like it more protected. We are getting around this problem by using a reverse proxy scenario to get it through our firewall.
Is there a more effecient way to install the SEEBURGER AS2 adapter without exposing the entire SAP XI server to the DMZ?
Thank you, any help or advice would be appreciated.

  • Details on XI EDI adapter from seeburger

    Hi,
We currently have our B2B integration going through Gentran & Webmethods.
We are having a evaluation process on the different tools available.
Can anyone give information on the licensing details of the XI EDI adapter from seeburger? Also do they have evaluation period? Has anyone gone through this process?
We have written to seeburger on this, but i thought of posting on SDN as the responses would be faster

  • Does Seeburger's SFTP adapter support dynamic filename creation

    Hi all,
Does the SFTP adapter support dynamic filename creation.
If yes, then do we have to use UDF's and are there any specific settings that have to be done in the SFTP communication channel.
Please provide a blog which helps in the configuration process of the above case.
    thanks,
    younus

Dynamic Creation of File using counter in Seeburger Variable:
    1. Configuration Needed in the Communication Channel:
The process of dynamic creation of files can be done we have to select the following checkbox in the receiver channel:
    Dynamic Attribute in receiver Channel:
    Import the following modules:
    Localejbs/Seeburger/solution/sftp
    Localejbs/Seeburger/AttribMapper
    Localejbs/ModuleProcessorExitBean
Enter  the desired file naming convention:
Use the Parameter GetCounter("ID") to the place where the counter is expected to come.
    2. Configuration Needed in the SeeBurger Workbench:
If the J2EE server is listening on a port different from 50000 (which is the standard for the SAP client 000), the port number must be configured:
Login into the seeburger workbench using the URL
    http://<localhost>:<port number>/seeburger/index.html
    Select Property Store.
Create or edit the following property:
    Parameter
    Value
    Namespace
    http://seeburger.com/xi/SeeFunctions
    Key
    provider.servlet.server
    Value
http://localhost:50000/ (where the port number 50000 must be set
accordingly to the J2EE server configuration).
Note: The configured value (server URL) has to end with a slash (/). Otherwise,
    SeeFunctions will not work correctly.
If we need to start the counter from any specific value , it can be configured in the SeeBurger workbench, this value can be maintained in Mapping Variables :

  • Seeburger test scenario

    Hi guys ,
I am planning to configure a test seeburger scenario ( Orders Idoc to EDIFACT )
I know how seeburger works and I can see the mapping I_ORDERS05_to_E_ORDERS_D96A in my Seeburger_Generic_EDI SWC..
also i already have a E_ORDERS_D96A xsd avaiable in the Seeburger_Generic_EDI SWC..
I do not have the BIC mapping name but i think it is standard and i can use See_X2E_ORDERS_UN_D96A
but in some of the scenarios i can also see  mapping name as X2E_ORDERS_UN_D96A.
My question is what is the correct BIC mappig name that i have to use for my test scenario "See_X2E_ORDERS_UN_D96A" or
    "X2E_ORDERS_UN_D96A"

    Hello,
In our case also,we develop our own mapping as different customers have different mapping rules, especially the sender ILN and receiver ILN are different for every customer which identifies the sender and receiver partner entries.
You need to check the field mapping of this standard Seeburger mapping and if it satisfies your requirement, then you could use it(I am sure ,it won't,so it is preferable that you create your own custom mapping satisfying the mapping instructions you receive from your partner)
Kindly let me know if this is fine.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Shweta

    HI,
For Seeburger implementation you should take licance for BIC MD and Adapters(AS2,SFTP).
1)You will receive the data from the vendor ,you need to configure the AS2 Sender Adapter and you need configure the Party with AS2ID(Global Indentfier).
2)For Conversion for the EDIFACT to XML you need to generate the the BIC mapping In BIC MD.once generate the map you can loaded the map into XI server.you need to configure the mapping detials in module(Classifer,BIC,Spliter......).
Steps to genrate the BIC MAP:
    Steps :-
          1) Right click on Data type and Export structure (msg_....xml).
          2) Run u201CCreateXMLmessageu201D, (source file msg_....xml, target file XML_....xml).
          3) Import XMLu2026.xml to your Project XML Message.
          4) Run u201CCreateMappingXMLToEdiu201D source file (msg_...xml),target file      (X2E_....xml)
if you are converting XML to Edi format.
          5) Run u201CCreateMappingEdiToXMLu201D source file (msg_....xml),target file      (E2X_....xml) if you are converting Edi to XML format.
          6) Import X2E/E2X_.....xml to your project mappings
    3) you need to open firwall from the vendor and your system..

  • About B2B scenario?

    Hi Experts,
I am new to B2B sceanrios. I understand the basics that it is for communicating between two external systems, i.e outside the firewall.
But for using the B2B scenarios what kind of adapters can be used? And i am not able to find any test scenarios for this. Can you give me link or document showing the step by step procedure for B2B scenarios?

    About EDI and AS2.

  • Invoice split due to different partner data

    Hi,
Based on two sales orders, we would like to create one billing document. Here's the case:
Sales order 1 (and delivery 1) has customer number A as sold-to party and customer number C as bill-to party and payer
Sales order 2 (and delivery 2) has customer number B as sold-to party and customer number C as bill-to party and payer
Using the "Simulate" option in VF04 causes the system to propose two different billing documents, due to the following (info from the split analysis):
Split due to different partner data:
    Customer Number 1
    Address
Split due to different header data:
    Sold-to party
We have attached a VOFM routine to the processing, in which we clear out the sold-to party:
    clear: vbrk-kunag
This eliminates the "split due to different header data", but how do we clear out the fields "Customer Number 1" and "Address"? I have tried the following code in the same VOFM routine, but with no luck:
    clear: vbpa-kunnr
-> How can we clear out the customer number and the address to eliminate the split?
All helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Best Regards,
    MV

OMG! This is crazy - I don't think you're supposed to do this... It will mess up the standard functionality - reports, index tables, etc.
Tell your SD consultant to configure partners differently, so that Sold-to is the same but Ship-to or something else is different. Or, in the worst case, you can always create a custom program and Smartform to print several invoices together, if your customers require.

  • Global Trade System (GTS) with XI

    Hi
We are in the process of implementing GTS, and SAP has recommended that we use their installation of the Seeburger converter to communicate with customs authorities.
Instead we would prefer to use our existing XI converter to handle the communication.
However SAP has strongly recommended not to do this, and said that other big customers running GTS are also using the Seeburger delivery from SAP.
Does anyone have experience with this? And know why it apparently would be so problematic to use another converter?
    Thanks
    Br.
    John

Instead we would prefer to use our existing XI converter to handle the communication.
XI in itself does not support the EDI communication protocols. For this, SAP rely on their partners like Seeburger who have created such adapters using which various EDI communication is possible.
U have 2 options of using Seeburger. Either u use it in conjunction with XI (which is recommended by SAP) or u use it standalone. The advantage in using it with XI is that u can leverage existing advantages of XI. As u already have XI in place, SAP is recommending the use of Seeburger.
