Configuring receiver determination with multiple messages in BPM

I am configuring a BPM scenario which uses 3 abstract interfaces, one for receiving, 2 for sending. I need 2 abstract interfaces while sending because they use different message types. I have created a Receiver Determination for the 1st interface, but the problem is that when I try to create the second Receiver Determination the 2nd abstract interface is not listed after I select the Integration Process. Just the 1st interface is listed under the Integration Process. What might be the problem?

Did you try to delete and reimport the BPM with the same name ?

  • File to RFC with multiple records using BPM Scenario Error...!!!

    Hello Guru's,
I have done the File to RFC with multiple records using BPM scenario as per the Materiel available in the sdn.sap. This involves BAPI (BAPI_MATERIEL_AVAILABILITY). I have done exactly the same what is their in the materiel. SXI_CACHE is also giving return value " 0 ". File is getting deleted from the source directory, but no file in target directory. SXMB_MONI is also showing no error (black Flag). BPM is also error free. Checked the interfaces also.
Can any one tell me what mistake would i have done.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Configure Enterprise Manager with multiple Listener

Configure Enterprise Manager with multiple Listener
I have created 2 listeners and connected my database with both the listeners. If I stop one listener then it automatically uses second listener vice versa. But facing problem in case of enterprise manager. If i stop first listener which is on 1521 port it is not connecting to another listener which is on 1522 port.
    any help ?

Your potential problem is Enterprise Manager simply doesn't KNOW about that second listener. You can easily verify that when you look at the monitored targets.
Enterprise Manager also reconstructs automagically it's own tnsnames.ora! So, it doesn't connect to second -completely redundant and useless - listener, because the tnsnames.ora entry on the Management Sever is incorrect.
Simply because you didn't made sure OEM could discover the second -completely redundant and useless- listener.
I notice you apparently don't want to read documentation. Yet the only way to work successfully with Oracle, and to become independent, is to read that documention.
Apart from that you should be able to find agentca.bat on your OS with one command, so, yes, I pointed you to the documentation, yes, you can find agentca.bat.

  • ACK for receiver determination with 2 interface determination

    Hi Forum,
I have a XI scenario, with a BPM, where i have a Send step,
this send step corrsponds to a receiver determination in Configuration,  and this receiver determination has 2 interface determination,
because the send step is like,
BPM to Receiver1, through sender message interface MI_Sender1, but there are 2 different receiver message interface namely MI_receiver1, and MI_receiver2,
.......hence 2 interface determination and 2 interface mappings accordingly,
and now when in BPM, i choose "transport acknowledgement" for this send step, my BPM stucks while waiting for the acknowledgement, but...in MONI, i am receivng both the acknowledgement, but in PE, workflow descrition, it waits for acknowledgement and finally fails,
    what's the reason,

check the workitems of both sender/receiver (ack) in moni (problem might be in BPM config).

  • Receiver determination for Split Message - Bulk message handling

    All,
I have a scenario where MATMAS message is split to multiple receivers via multi mapping 1:n; the split is based on plant specific data, all works fine the mapping splits the message perfectly.
The problem I have is in configuring the receiver determiniation. I have put conditions based on plant specific data the message should be distributed to the appropriate receiver. At runtime the MATMAS message received is treated as a bulk message and it produces mutiple sub-documents however in my case if the MATMAS has 3 plant specific data the data is send to all the 3 receivers instead of sending just one message per plant to the appropriate receiver.
Its IDOC to File scenario on XI 3.0, SP20.
    Receiver Determination:
    /MATMAS05/IDOC/E1MARAM/E1MARCM/WERKS = 'xxxx' -> send to XXXX_receiver
    /MATMAS05/IDOC/E1MARAM/E1MARCM/WERKS = 'yyyy' -> send to YYYY_receiver
Though the receiver determiniation splits the message by plant it could be that a material is maintained for both xxxx and yyyy plants and in this case both should receive the message but the contents would be different. The problem I have is both messages are delivered to both receivers.
I appreciate those who have taken the time to read the thread and thank you all in advance supporting with advices.

Please find attached the source xml before transormation used for the xpath that I have indicated in my original message. From the below message E1MARCM-BESKZ differs on each plant and also has a corresponding warehouse view E1MLGNM where for example LHMG1 value differs for each warehouse.

      </MATMAS05>
    so in this example above:
    Receiver 4911 (WERKS) should receive:
    F + 2020 (BESKZ + LHMG1)
    Receiver 4912 (WERKS) should receive:
    F + 2323 (BESKZ + LHMG1)
    Receiver 5020 (WERKS) should receive:
    F + 2424 (BESKZ + LHMG1)
The problem is all these 3 messages are delivered to all the 3 plants thus making it 9 messages delivered in total as against 3.

  • Receiver Determination when multiple Product Versions / identical namespace

    Hi,
How would the receiver determination be done when we have multiple product versions with identical namespaces and interface names ?
During development, when we do a release transfer to another product version, the namespaces and interface names remain same as the current objects.
How would XI resolve the correct interface in this case ?
    thanks,
    Manish

The XI does not care about the application systems. When a message is received by the application, it knows, what to do with the messages.
The receiver could be an RFC call, an IDOC, an Abap Proxy, here the correlation between interface and Abap code is unique.
The receiver could be a File, or JMS adapter, here the correlation  between interface and communication channel is unique as well.
You might reuse IDOCs or RFCs or in rare situations other interfaces in different software components and install them for the same application system. But you can only generate proxies from one interface.

  • Conditional routing - 1 sender to 1 receiver but with multiple locations

    Hello Experts,
I have a scenario where i am trying to post ALEAUD Idocs (acknowledgement Idocs) from ECC - PI - MDM.
I need these acknowledgement statuses to get updated in MDM (receiver system) for MATMAS, CREMAS and DEBMAS.
I am through till receiving  the acknowledgemnts in PI. I am stuck at a point wherein I need to route MATMAS related messages to a different folder in the receiver system (MDM) wheraes messages realted to CREMAS should be routed to another folder in the same receiver system (MDM) and similar is the case with DEBMAS.
ALEAUD Idoc has an element <MESTYP> which identifies whether the acknowledment belongs to MATMAS, CREMAS or DEBMAS, but i cannot use Reciever determination for conditional routing in this case.
Will BPM help in this case? If not, kindly advice the appropriate solution.
    Thanks in advance,
    Elizabeth.

Have you tried using Enhanced Receiver Determination? You need to define a mapping first
ALEAUD -> ReceiverDetermiation and use this mapping in your receiver determination step
in the Integration Directory. Its fairly flexible.

  • Processing of multiple messages Using BPM

    Hello everybody,
I am pretty much a newbie to this XI technology. I am currently testing a File to File scenario Concerning BPM. The source file contains multiple messages in an XML structure. How can each of these XML messages be posted as individual files? I have reffered to this <a href="/people/narendra.jain/blog/2005/12/30/various-multi-mappings-and-optimizing-their-implementation-in-integration-processes-bpm-in-xi on BPM as a guideline; but here the number of messages are restricted and I want to dynamically determine how many messages are contained in the XML file. Anybody has any idea how to achieve this?
    Thanks and Warm Regards,

    Hello,
The blog you mentioned is for cutting one file into 2 files.
I think you need to use the "<b>ParForEach</b>" step in the BPM. This step is used to loop on a multiple line message and create a single message in one branch. Then you can add a send step in this branch and end only one message.

  • Content based receiver determination with Seeburger AS2 adapter

We are planning to use the Seeburger AS2 adapter on our XI 3.0 installation to post custom XML documents to XI from external business partners.  The problem we have is to do the receiver and interface determination based on the xml message type that is submitted.  How can we identify what is the name of the root xml node (which is representing the message type that was submitted to us) during the receiver determination and specify conditions for the receiver determination based on this?  We can not use the Seeburger Classifier module here as this is only determining the mapping name to be used for an EDI conversion but can not handle any type of XML message.

    Rudy,
I think the easiest way would still be the ReceiverDetermination and creating an XSD that contains the main important TAGs from the different messages.
That should allow you to test for the existing of certain important TAGs or check the value of some TAGS.
I don´t know about aedaptive-adapters, but I don´t think that they are Drummond-Certified. Check out...
    http://www.drummondgroup.com/html-v2/as2-companies.html
Without this certification, a lot of your partners might not allow you to use this adapter if you wanna make AS2 with them.

  • Receiver Determination: Contextobject to choose when BPM sendcontext

    Hi everybody,
I set the send context in BPM on a send step. I want to use the condition editor in receiver determination.
Which contextObject is to choose in the condition?
There are so many. I searched the help and found nothing suitable.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Mario

Try Out Path In receiver Determination Expand the Source structure ...And Select the Appropriate Field on which You want to place the condition..
If you want to use Context Object You need to create It In Integration Repository based out of message Interface and then Use it over here.
    Hope This Helps

  • Enhanced Receiver Determination with RFC Lookup

    Hi All,
I am building an interface with Enhanced Receiver Determination. Scenario would be that the Receiver Systems would be stored in a Z table in SAP ECC, and in PI Receiver Determination I am doing an RFC look up to find the systems, and using those.
I built the mapping for Receiver Determination, and it tested fine in ESR. But while Creating the Receiver Determination in Integration Directory, After I specify the Receiver mapping name, and put the RFC channel name for the RFC parameter, it doesnt allow me to save the Receiver Agreement with a run time error message
"Link from Receiver Determination  | <Sender>| <Interface>| * | * to object type "Channel" with role "122474913b1311deaadb42057dd8b002" is not permitted"
My question is a) if the RFC lookup allowed in the mapping for Receiver Determination?
    B) if yes, am I missing someting or is it a system issue?

i have seen Enhanced RD with lookups that work. Have to say it was not a RFC lookup used but rather a DB look in one of the implementations i had worked with. But still I really dont think a RFC lookup should be an issue.
Troubleshoot the lookup mapping to be working other than in the enhanced RD (i.e independently) .
if you head no where, i suggest opening a OSS note.

  • Receiver determination / Monitoring the messages.

    Hi.
I'm trying to set up simplest File to File scenario.
Sending channel generates messages and I can see them through Integration monitoring workbench. But I do not see the messages from SXMB_MONI.
Is it supposed to be this way ?
My problem is that even I specified  receiver determination the messages hang there with status "Waiting" and empty field "Reciever".
Test tools fails at receiver determination even I have enabled the service in SICF transaction.
Do I miss something very obvious here  ?
    Sincerely,
    Evgeny.

    Hi,
What do u see in Integration monitoring-->RWB..?
<i>The message was successfully transmitted to endpoint http://<hostname>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW.</i>
    or anythign else.
If the message is successfully transferred using pipeline URL then u should see ur messge in sxmb_moni.
else check if ur pipepline URL si properluy mentioned or not... it should be,..
    <b>http://<hostname>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry</b>

  • Using Enhanced Receiver Determination with a Synchronous Service Interface

    Hi Experts,
I want to use ERD on a Synchronous Interface. Is that possible? Perhaps it has no sense, because in an ERD you can choice multiple receivers and that its against the synchronous philosophy: what if you declare 2 or more receivers, from wich one has the right response to be taken?
In technical terms I build the operation mapping as it is written both in the blog (/people/venkataramanan.parameswaran/blog/2006/03/17/illustration-of-enhanced-receiver-determination--sp16) and the SAP HELP.
But in my OM I have as source service interface one Abstract Synchronous and in the target I have one Abstract Asynchronous wich is not possible. So I tried many tricks like creating my own synchronous ReceiverDetermination Service Interface in my SWC, but it is not detected. Other trick will be modifying the standart SI, but it will affect the next guy trying to use ERD with an Asynchronous interface
The point its that it is a little funny that the receiver determination allows using ERD with a synchronous SI wich makes me think that it will be possible...
Is it possible to use ERD with a Synchronous Interface?
