Configuring reconciliation rule for AD

Hello everyone,
I have to configure Reconciliation rule for AD where i have to match user login at OIM side to Manager value at AD side. As manager is dn on AD side, how can i compare both the values. Is there any way to spilit the dn to find out the cn value before reconciliation rule will run? How does the tranform feature provided under rule element will work? If anybody came across this scenerio and got any resolution please share.
TIA

I have a doubt here..please clear if i am able to sucessfully explain...in reconcilliation action we wrote that "No Match Found" --> "create User". it is working fine (for me it is Sun LDAP on other side)..but issue is that when it create a user in OIM...under resource profile no resource is coming as attached...then how can one knows that this user already had a profile in LDAP and need not created a new one and also we cannot provision the same user to LDAP as it is already there...means we cannot link these two user profiles (OIM and LDAP one)....but for feasible scenerion it should be...can anyone tell me where i am wrong and what other configuration needs to be done if it is a feasible scenerion..

  • Reconciliation Rule for Trusted Sources

Is it possible to create a reconciliation rule for a trusted source based a user-defined field that stores a GUID? By default, OIM uses the user id in the reconciliation rule, however if the user id changes on the trusted source a recon. rule based on user id will never find a match - if I understand how the recon. rule works.
Has anyone attempted to use something other than user id in a recon. rule for a trusted source?
    Thanks

  • References for developing Reconciliation Rules for OIM 11GR1

    Good Day!
    Hi Folks!
I would like to ask if you can share some references or any documents which tackles on the development or creation of reconciliation rules for OIM 11GR1. Currently, we are trying to pull users from a SAP system and provision them to MS AD. Currently, we want to develop reconciliation rules such that we can avoid doing manual ad-hoc link.
Aside from the documentation guide, are there any other references there available in helping us to develop recon rules from a simple definition and from there maybe we can pick it up to define a complex one?
    All answers are appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jeff

    SBO 2005-A PL11
Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
Employees are considered as Supplier for us
We have defined two control account
One to follow the Employee Advance payment : 15130020
the other to follow the Employee Expense voucher : 37100010
    Step 1 :
We create one Down Payment Request for the Employee
    Step 2 :
We paid the Down Payment Request (amount : 2000) using the Outgoing Payment :
    Posting Scheme generated :
    (C) 11100241 Petty Cash Account
    (D) 15130020 Employee Control Account for Down Payment
    Step 3 :
We enter the Expense Voucher for this employee (Amount : 1200)
    Posting Scheme
    (D) 6XXXXXXX Profit & Loss GL Account
    (C) 37100010 Employee Control Account for Expenses
    Step 4 :
Due to the fact that the amount of the advance is greater than the amount of the expense voucher, the employee have to reimburse the difference.
We use the menu incoming payment
The different steps follow up are :
Select Vendor as type of BP for the incoming payment
Select the invoice to be paid for the vendor, and tick the box "Payment on Advance" to take in account the amount already paid in the DPR
         Do the reimbursement of 800
    Posting Scheme :
    (C) 37100010 Employee Control Account for Expenses
    (D) 11100241 Petty Cash Account
The problem is when we try to do the internal reconciliation we could not see in the same time for the Employee the 2 reconciliation accounts.

Permit for the Internal reconciliation process for One Employee to retrieve the data link on the different control account regarding one employee / Supplier

    Hello,
I was just wondering whether you have checked the case in 2007 A version in which brand new concept of internal reconciliation was delivered for customers.
Please try to avoid so long postings. Create rather an attachment with longer description of the issue/case. This helps to increase transparency in the discussions.

  • How to configure Reconciliation only for a particular resource

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to configure target reconciliation from AD only for a client. For that i have installed the conector as per documentation (both prov and recon). Now how can i make sure that:-
    1. When i disable/enable the user in OIM, corresponding target resource will not be disabled/enabled.
    2. If i make any changes on resource form corresponding change should not flow back to AD.
Does removing the prov related jar able to ensure these things or i need to remove the corresponding prov lookup or any changes required in configuration lookup? Please suggest...TIA

Change the drop down option to "Disable Process..."
    Attach tcComplete event handler there.
In Task to Object Status Mapping, select Disabled in front of completed.
Now suppose user is PROVISIONED to a resource say Test. So whenever user gets DISABLED in OIM, it will disabled the target resource Test. But in actual the target resource will not be disabled for that user. He/She can access that resource after getting disabled as you haven't put the logic to disable the target resource (as you have used tcComplete here).
As you are saying that it should show disabled only if Disabled is coming from Trusted Resource. Then it's fine till now.
If you don't want to show status as Disabled then in Task to Object Status Mapping, do not select Disabled in front of completed. In this case, it will show status as PROVISIONED only. This is wrong.
I'll try to understand what you have written here ->
BUT NOW THE ISSUE. IT DISABLED MY ASSOCIATED RESOURCE (not in target resource actually but on oim side under resources tab). THIS IS ACTUALLY NOT DESIRABLE.
    - > It will do as you are using tcComplete. If you put your java code which disables the target resource in integration tab (in form of process task adapter instead of tcComplete) then it will disables the actual target resource for user.
REAL REQUIREMENT IS THAT FOR NOW (*till provisioning is not configured*) OIM DISABLE SHOULD NOT INVOKE THE DISABLE OF ASSOCIATED TARGET RESOURCE NOR IT CHANGED THE STATUS UNDER RESOURCES TAB FOR PARTICULAR RESOURCE. THE STATUS UNDER RESOURCES TAB SHOULD ONLY BE CHANGED WHILE RECONCILIATION.
-> As you have written, "Till provisioning is not configured", So if provisioning is not configured then it will not show disabled under Resource tab for that particular resource.
You can see disabled only after resource is provisioned to that user.
If this doesn't answer your question, it would be better if you explain your requirement clearly. It's not clear.

  • Reconciliation rule

    Hi All,
Is it possible to configure multiple reconciliation rule for a particular resource (AD, LDAP) as per container (OU). If possible please post the detail.
As per my understanding we can configure the recon rule for a particular resource only with single logical operator (or/and).
    TIA...

    Hi Martin,
I tried to achieve this for Novell eDirectory.
For this requirement, I have created a Resource Object Form, a process form under form designer with all the mandatory fields (for provisioning) and then create a process and attach Resource object as object name and form as table name.
I tried to assign this resource to any user and it gives me DOBJ.INSERT_FAILED error. There is nothing helpful in the logs. Could you please tell me what i am doing wrong or if any required configuration is missing.
PS-- For now i am using the create user method and using the same adapter under integration with all the required mappings. In the form i have also created an ITResource field and assign the value eDirectory IT Resource.

  • Configuring retry count for failed recon events

Has anyone managed to configure retry count for failed reconciliation events in OIM? By default OIM re-tries five (5) times before giving up the event. In most cases this is highly optimistic.
In OC4J I tried changing oc4j.jms.listenerAttempts property for JMS server, it didn't have any effect?

I am confused about how to configuring OEM GC to utilize auditing and may not be asking the proper question. For example, if I wish to monitor failed login counts and create an alert to notify me, must I turn on auditing in the database first? I guess what I am asking is based on the tem, plates provided. Is it merely enough to enter values for the various events or must I do something further to turn them on? I realize the question is vague but that is a function of my understanding.
Thanks.Yes.. you are right .. You need to enable that metric by setting threshold(You can do it through template or manual) and then configure notification rule for the same.

  • Posting Rule for EBS

    Hi,
I have configured Posting Rule for Incoming paymnets and works fine including posting area 2 by clearing Open Item of Customer.
I tried the exact opposite way for Vendor.
It creates GL posting ( Posting area 1 ) but error in Posting area 2 . It does not clear.
I need some clarity  on Posting type ( 4,5,7,8 etc) As when to use ?
What is the standard Posing rule for Outward paymnent and to clear OI of Vendor?
Appreciate to get yr response .
    Thanks and Regards,

You can either post to GL or Sub account by selecting the appropriate indicator in 'Define Posting Rules' step.  You can try giving the reversal Reason for a posting rule after setting the appropriate accounts and try using the Interpretation algorithm 011 Payment document.  Or see if any algorithm found in your system for treating reversal of documents or bounced cheques.
If this doesnt work, you might have to write your own interpretation algorithm and attach it in the 'Assign External Transaction to Posting Rules' step.  You can also try raising an OSS message to find out if any standard interpretation algorithms exist already for bounced cheques.

  • OIM 11g: Issue while evaluating rule for Role Membership

    Hello All,
I have configured few General Rules using 2 of our User Defined Fields, these general rules are used to determine role membership.
What we observed that once "Identity Status" attribute is set to "Disabled" for OIM User Profile then OIM stops evaluating these configured General Rules for Role Membership.
    Env Details:
Product Version: Oracle Identity Manager 11.1.1.5.0
App Server: WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.5.0
OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5
Database: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64 bit
Please let me know if any of you have encounter this issue and if there is any workaround available for it.
    Thanks,
    Shyam

    Workaround:
You can make you of Event Handler and assign that group with APIs.

  • Forefront TMG rule for Lync online access

Hi I need to create a TMG rule to allow connection using TLS and HTTPS to all Lync online URL's:
    *.microsoftonline.com
    *.microsoftonline-p.com
    *.onmicrosoft.com
    officecdn.microsoft.com
    *.sharepoint.com
    *.outlook.com
    *.lync.com
    evsecure-ocsp.verisign.com
    evsecure-aia.verisign.com
    evsecure-crl.verisign.com
    sa.symcb.com
I have already configure a rule for all necessary TCP and UDP ports outbound but would like to include the above URL's in TMG also. Can anyone tell me the best way to configure this?
    Grove08

    Hi,
You could try to create Access Rule by following the blog below that contains the main steps.

  • Multiple alert rules  for alert category?

    Hi,
I have created Alert Categories and assigned Alert Rules for them. <b>Can I assign multiple Alert rules for the same alert category?</b> I mean RTW--> Alert Configuration lets me do it. But when I test it by running report RSALERTTEST, I could get only error for one alert rule, even though I defined multiple alert rules. I haven't tested with real error out scenarios. Any update on this would be helpful.
    Thanx&Regards
    Navin

    Hi Navin,
    1) the report requires authorization object S_XMB_AUTH with area MONCONFIG and activity 02. It's actually part of the standard role SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_ABAP.
    2) sorry, don't know that, but you might want to check SAP Note 913858 for troubleshooting the alerting. it contains the following statement:
<i>Q10: Why are sometimes certain error categories (e.g. SXMS_TO_ADAPTER_ERRTXT) not filled?
A10: This is due to an error in the Business Object Repository when the value of a container variable exceeds 255 characters. Please implement the correction described in note #947738.</i>
    3) You can configure alert rules for the way from the sender to the BPM and from the BPM to the sender. If anything happens in that communication you will get an alert. However as far as i know, the only way to trigger an alert for something that happens within the BPM is by using an according control step.
