Configuring SIP on Avaya IP Office 500V2 9.0

Hi,
We are looking ahead to migrate existing phone system with Avaya IP Office 500V2 version 9.0. Currently we are using Cisco UCM, Phone vendor is Fusion Connect, Internet service provider is CEN (Connecticut Education Network).
We know how to setup PRI with Avaya IP Office but not sure about SIP. Could you please let us know what information we will need to collect from service provider to configure SIP, also apart from below things what need to buy from Avaya for SIP.
- Endpoint license
- Voicemail pro license
- IP Office control unit
- SD card
- Rack mounting kit
- Essential edition license
Thank you,
Prashant Tayade
ACS.

HHow did you export? Did you use H.264? Hour and a half is going to be a big file. For your customers sake you might consider breaking it down into segments.

  • Configuring Contacts (External Domain/Post Office/User)

We're starting a migration to another mail system. I'm looking for some help to properly configure our GW8sp2hp2 system to send mail to external recipients, whether the mail is sent from an internal GroupWise user or from an Internet sender somewhere outside our network. All external recipients will have the same SMTP domain name. The TIDs I found (7004434, 3230787) for creating an External Domain, External Post Office, and External User to create "Contacts" in the GroupWise system address book that point to external Internet e-mail addresses did not work. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, the instructions are incomplete, or the process has changed for GW8.
We have GW8sp2hp2 with the exception of a WebAccess and GWIA that are both at 7sp4. There are two GWIAs, one for inbound in the DMZ (7sp4) and one for outbound (8sp2hp2). One TID I read said to link the External Post Office to the domain holding the GWIA using the Link Configuration tool. The inbound GWIA has a Gateway Alias Type of "GWIA", but the outbound GWIA did not have one defined. I made its Gateway Alias Type "GWI2". I can go to GroupWise|Gateway Aliases in the properties of the External User and add a gateway alias for either GWIA, however I cannot see GWI2 in the Gateway Link drop-down in the Link Configuration tool to select the second GWIA as the Gateway link (per TID 3230787).
Are there GroupWise 8-specific instructions for configuring this?

I added a Gateway Alias of [email protected] to the user and now the inbound GWIA accepts mail to that address and immediately forwards the mail through the outbound GWIA to the address configured in Internet Addressing. My remaining issue is that I want it to work for Internet mail addressed to [email protected] AND [email protected] I created a second External User and gave it a gateway alias of [email protected] but the same Internet Address, and that appears to work, but is complicated. GroupWise documentation says nicknames are not the solution, as mail cannot be addressed to [email protected]
It appears I've found a solution, albeit a slightly complicated one. But if Gateway Aliases are deprecated and nicknames aren't the answer, what is the supported solution for making this work?

Please advise on what digital certificate requirements for hybrid deployment and to configure it.

    Hi sphilip,
If you want to deploy AD FS with Single Sign-On(SSO), we need use certificate to establish secure trust between on-premises Exchange 2013 and Office online.
We can use and configure a trusted third-part CA within all on-premises Exchange 2013 Mailbox and Client Access servers to ensure secure mail transport, more details about

  • Configure SIP account on Fring on Smbian Tutorial

Just found this neat tutorial on How to configure custom SIP accounts and Skype in Fring on Nokia Symbian platform
Hope you all find this useful!!

I found the solution for this.
On Nokia E series devices, you need to install a software from Nokia SIP_VoIP_Settings_v1_0_en at the URL : http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.nokia.com/id/d476061e-90ca-42e9-b3ea-1a852f3808ec/SIP_VoIP_Settin...
When you install it, you need to go to Menu -> Installation -> SIP VOIP Setting -> NAT firewall Settings.
Here you need to configure the Domain parameters for sip.goandcall.com and put the value of STUN server as provided on your website.
Please note, we do not need to configure the outbound proxy in E61i ( referred as Proxy Server).
The reason we need to install the above software is because I could not find advance settings in Nokia to configure STUN server.
    Hope this info helps.

  • About configuring sales organization and sales office

how can i create sales organization and sales office in SAP ??

    Hi
where to create new sales orgs and sales office is well explained by the other friend
After creating the new sales org there are a lot of assignments to be done in img-enterprise structure assignment-sales and distribution
    1.   assign sales org to company code
    2.   Assign sales org to distribution channel
    3.   Assign sales org to division
    4.   Assign sales org distribution channel to plant
    5.   Set up sales area
    6.   Assign sales office to sales area
Like that a lot of enterprise structure assignments needs to be completed
    Plus
T code VOR1 define common distribution channels
T code VOR2 define common divisions
T code OVAO combine sales organizations
T code OVAM combine distribution channel
    T code OVAN combine divisions
T code OVAZ  Assign sales order types to sales areas
(Right now i dont have SAP access  so that i am not able to tell you every thing
But these are must assignments which needs to be done if you have to use your new sales org
    All the best
    Regards
    Raja

  • Configuring Level3 SIP trunk with Lync 2013

Hi, I ran into some issues trying to configure SIP trunk from Level 3 and I was hoping someone here can help. We have our mediation server collocated with FE and SIP traffic goes from public IP, port 5060 via NAT, to local IP on FE, port 5060.
Level 3 provided us with one signaling IP and two RTP IPs.
I tried multiple trunk configuration settings and I can see that when I'm placing a call from Lync to an outside number I'm getting INVITE from Level 3 signaling IP, the session is established, phone rings, but there is no audio on either side. There's also
a METHOD NOT ALLOWED message coming from them, which doesn't tell me much about what's happening.
If I call to a Level 3 DID (assigned to my Lync user account) there's also INVITE from their side, but later I receive a CANCEL from them due to idle session. The phone never rings.
    Questions:
    1) Does anyone have Level 3 SIP trunks configured and can share their Get-TrunkConfiguration settings? What settings should I have for encryption, refer, sessionTimer / RTCP, and others? Level 3 refuses to provide any additional information besides IPs.
    2) Do I understand this correctly that when configuring PSTN gateways in topology, one of the RTP IPs should be entered in the  "alternate media IP" field? We have SIP trunks from another provider (which work fine), and they only use one IP
for everything, so I don't have any experience configuring separate SIP and media IPs with Lync.
Thanks, and let me know if I should provide additional info.

    Hi,
On Lync topology PSTN gateways interface, please check if you enter gateway listening port 5060 and enable TCP option.
Please also check if you enable refer support on Lync Server Control Panel, if you enable it please uncheck it.
You can compare the trunk configuration for Level 3 in the part “Sample Trunk Configuration for Level 3” in the link below with yours’, it is for Lync server 2010 but similar for Lync server 2013:
