Configuring the Task Gateway Service: Web Service Config = Single Service Config?

Hello,
I am following the steps of the SAP NW GTW 2.0 SP06 configuration guide, and am a bit stuck on the section Configuring the Task Gateway Service. In step 3, we are instructed to choose the option Single Service Configuration. However, I don't see this option. I do see option Web Service Configuration and when I choose it, I am able to continue with the rest of the steps of the documentation.
Am I missing an option here or does the documentation just need to be updated where Single Service Configuration should read Web Service Configuration?
Thanks!
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey,
I'm also configuring the Unified Inbox and I have found the service in the web service configuration and searching for Consumer proxy TASKFACADE.
Hope that helps.

  • Problem in completing the TASK when using Web Dynpro Java and BPM

    Hi,
I am using Web Dynpro Java and BPM.
i see my Web Dynpro View when i run the process.
Just that the task is not completing.
when i click on the Web Dynpro button to signal the completion of the event, nothing happens.
i have appropriately created events in both Component controller and Interface Controller and used the same in creating the Task.
a method in Component controller fires the event and a button click in the view calls this method.
i have successfully completed Donka Dimitrova's "SAP Netweaver Business Process Management-End-to-End Process Implementation Sample " but when i tried my own with slight modifications, it is not working !!!

    Hi Amol,
The way you described the things, I dont see any problems. Just to make sure that you are triggering the right event that you mapped as completion event for the task, try to cross check once again and see if the correct event is getting triggered. Also try to put some messages for debugging to see till where the control goes.

  • Configuring the default gateway in the router

    hi,
i have doubt that,we config default gateway ip add in the router,is it same which will provide the ip add in the client system in network properties ?

    Ajay
Your question is not clear. Most of the time when we talk about configuring default gateway on a router we are talking about configuring a default route on the router. I am not sure if this is what you are talking about or not. The default route configured on a router is not propagated to the end stations as their default gateway.
It is possible to configure DHCP on a router and in configuring DHCP it is possible to configure a gateway address (usually the interface address of the router) which will be propagated to the end station and which will be the gateway address in network properties. I am not clear whether this is what you are talking about.
If this does not answer your question then perhaps you can clarify.

  • Cant configure the node of my Integration Gateway

So I've been trying to get web services exposed from my test PeopleSoft Installation so that they can be used by another PeopleSoft Installation. After some reading and searching I found that I have to configure the Integration Broker in order to do that. From there I've been trying for a while now (unsuccessfully as you can imagine) to configure the Integration Gateway of my PeopleTools installation. Right now I can ping my Integration Gateway which comes back with...
    PeopleSoft Integration Gateway
    PeopleSoft Listening Connector
    Tools Version : 8.53
    Status:ACTIVE
and from there I can load the connectors, of which there are 11 different ones. After that I go to "Gateway Setup Properties", log in, and from there I have everything filled out with the following...
    Gateway Default App. Server_
    App Server URL: <the machinename>:<the port#>
    User ID: PS
    Password: <the password>
    Tools Release: 8.53
    Domain Password: <none>
    Virtual Server Node: <none>
    PeopleSoft Nodes_
    Node Name: PSFT_HR
    App Server URL: <the machinename>:<the port#>
    User ID: PS
    Password: <the password>
    Tools Release: 8.53
    Domain Password: <none>
After that, I try to ping the node but it always errors with the following and I have no idea why...
PeopleSoftTargetConnector - The appserver may be down.  Check Appserver URL or Domain Password.
The problem is that I know I have the right URL and that the AppServer is running because I can see it's status in Command Prompt after running PSADMIN.EXE and navigating to the status of the server (not to mention I'm able to log into it). I've also looked at the "Configuration Status" in "Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Integration Network" and got checks on "Gateway Configured" and "Domain Active" but there's an X next to "Node Network Not Configured" which I'm not sure why it's there so if somebody could explain that to me, that'd be really helpful.
So from "Node Network", I can see all the nodes and can see the node that I'm trying to use for the Integration Gateway, "PSFT_HR", that has checks in the boxes under everything except "Remote Gateway Node". After I click on the PSFT_HR node I can see the "Node Definitions" tab that has the Authentication set to "Password", the password set to what I'm entering with the "Gateway Setup Properties", the "Default User ID" set to "PS" and everything after that (Hub Node, Master Node, etc.) is blank. The check-boxes next to "Default Local Node", "Local Node", "Active Node", and "Segment Aware" are checked.
In the "Connectors" tab I've tried pinging the node but came up with the same error from before. Also, towards the bottom there's a line that says "This connector does not have properties. Use Gateways Page to setup." where I log in to the "Gateway Setup Properties" again, the same info is used from before, and pinging the node gives the same error. As for the other tabs "Portal", "WS Security", and "Routings" I haven't done anything with them as I never read anything that said I needed too.
Also, as a side note, every time I try to ping the node the application stops responding even after I click cancel or try to click the "x" on the window. I cant do anything until it times out and gives me the error so if somebody could tell me how to change that or stop it from happening, that'd also be really helpful in saving time with troubleshooting this issue
I hope this wasn't too long with TOO MUCH information (or quotation marks) but I thought I'd get everything I've got right now out the way since I've tried a lot of different things and may get some suggestions that I've already found/tried up until now. I feel like it's something small that I'm missing (because that's always the case) so hopefully one of you can remedy my situation.
Thanks a lot for any help/suggestions (even if I've tried them, but I'll try them again in case something changes because computers work that way :/ ).

Fixed the typos with "machinename:port#" to fit the overall naming convention I used.

Since you didn't provide the "machinename" I'm wondering if that's your problem... you mention hanging while pinging... that sounds like name lookup or port connectivity problems, as if the gateway is waiting for something to time out in that arena. For communicating to yourself, depending on your config, that setting should match exactly whats in the <PS_HOME/PS_CFG_HOME>/webserv/peoplesoft/applications/peoplesoft/PORTAL.war/WEB-INF/psftdocs/ps/configuration.properties psserver line. Now if you created a domain just for PUBSUB it would need to match the jolt port for that domain (not the WSL). Since your logging in online already, we know the configuration.properties file has a good value, if your trying a different domain, I'd try switching back to using your domain for servicing online requests and try again.
I recommend looking at Nicolas's write up on this topic, it's very detailed.
http://gasparotto.blogspot.com/2013/05/integration-network-workcenter-853.html you may need to reference his 8.52 version for some pre-reqs as well but the link is in the 8.53 one. Also look for answers in the log file <PS_HOME/PS_CFG_HOME>/webserv/peoplesoft/applications/peoplesoft/PSIGW.war/errorLog.html (if you took default weblogic domain name). I just went through this process on a fresh demo 8.53 demo install and was able to start pinging the node after only a few steps. they were,
    1. define the gateway
    2. load the connectors
    3. define the default and additional node
    4. verified the PS user was able to logon (originally the password was expired)
    5. set the auth type to Password for the node I was using.
    6. success on ping, interestingly enough I didn't even have PUBSUB processes running yet, node network and active domain both show not configured at this time
On your node network not getting the green check, look on the Node Network status page just below the title, there is a check box for Secure Keystore Value Defined. Is that checked? If not it needs to be. You probably need to set the secureFileKeystorePassword to your keystore password. The default is still password, you can change this from the Advanced Properties Page link of the Gateway Setup Properties page. Use the encryption tool because the password can't be clear text, it has to be saved encrypted to work. Then go back to the node network page and see if it's cleared up. I mentioned this briefly in a write I did on Unified Navigation http://remotepsadmins.com/2013/03/04/peoplesoft-unified-navigation-with-peoplesoft-applicatations-portal-interaction-hub. Nicolas's 8.52 write up has screenshots and such though he does it prior to showing that it will prevent configuration from passing. I've also seen in properly configured systems you may need to just save this page without changes to populate some data, but that was on upgrading to 8.52, i would expect 8.53 would not need that.
continuing on, I did exactly what I just mentioned, and I've got a configured node network.
i just bounced the domain, adding the PUB/SUB servers, and activating them on the Domain Status page. I've now got green lights across the board and I can still ping successfully. I used no domain password, but I also verified that none was set in the psappsrv.cfg file. I just hit the Network Integration Status button on my system and got the Status check successful message.
Let us know how it goes.

How do I change my config to use wsHttpBinding?

    Hi,
    Please refer to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms733099.aspx. From my experience, in Windows Azure, we cannot use Windows authentication (the default configuration for WSHttpBinding), unless we use WAAD and let the cloud server join the local domian. So it is
needed to turn off authentication, or use an alternative authentication mechanism (such as username and password).

  • Whats the actual difference between Business system and Business service

whats the actual difference between Business system and Business service

    Business System
    1) Business system is a logical system, and there is an importance on physical existence of the system.
    2) Also SLD entry is required.
3)It is generally used for SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
4)This is defined as part of the SLD and is a physical system whose parameters are well defined.
5(Business systems refers to the physical systems, for instance the R/3 system. You define the business systems in the SLD
    Business Service
    1) You use a Business Service, when you do not have the System details of the the partner system to which you want to communicate. i.e. you have not configured the partner system in SLD.
    2) Business Service is an Absract Unit with Sender and Receiver Interfaces,In this case you need to explicitly add the message interfaces while doing configuration in ID.
    3) It is generally used for NON-SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
    4) This is not defined as part of SLD and whose technical parameters are not completely known.
5)Business service is used when the message is not addressed to a business system. It is used mostly in B2B scenarios.

  • How to configure the eth1 port of NIcRIO 9024 to another IP address and subnet mask

    Hi ,
I am using cRIO 9024 and am planning to configure it to be an MMS server that interacts with a client which is in another network with different IP and subnetmask. I want to run the server VIs from the host computer via the eth0 port and want to communicate the MMS messages through the eth1 port. the eth0 port is configured as a static IP as shown in the screenshot attached and would like to assign a separate IP and subnet mask to the other port . But when I try to save the configuration I get the error "Could not save your changes tot he target. The subnet mask for eth1 is invalid" .
I have already directly cross connected the Crio and have disabled the firewalls and still am not able to configure it.
    1) is it possible to configure the ethernet ports to have separate IPs corresponding to different networks and thus the subnet masks?
    2) If its possible then what is the mistake i am doing while configuring it ?
I would be extremaly grateful to have a reply on this as its pretty desperate to spend a lot of time just to set up the IP configurations..!!!!!
    Regards
    Abhinav

    Dear Abhinav,
I'm sorry but what you are tryining to do is not suported by the Second Ethrnet Port on any cRIO and so you getting this error meeage.
Here a abstract out ouf the KnowledgeBase How do I Configure the Dual Ethernet Ports on Real-Time Controllers?:
Ethernet port 2 is currently not supported to communicate outside its own subnet. There is no capability of configuring the Default Gateway for Ethernet port 2 and therefore cannot connect to a large isolated intranet.  However, there appears to be a common misconception that this port can only be used for communication between NI products: this is not the case, though any communication through the secondary port must be within the same subnet.

  • Configure IT0019 task type in for specific to molga

Can we configure IT0019 task type which are molga specific ?
I need to create some task types which are speicific to molga 10.
When I create those tasks then it appears in IT0019 globally. Do we have settings to make it molga specific ? thanks, Shan

    Hi Harsha,
We can not configure the task types country grouping specific but you can create task type in general and if you are creating the IT 0019 using action then you can write the dynamic action in which you can check the country grouping, if the country grouping is 10 then only the IT0019 with your task type will get created otherwise it will not.
Second option would be to include the required task type only in the infogroup (of action) of country grouping 10.
Another option would be to change the standard setting of T777D for IT 0019 check the box for country specific subtype then create your country specific task type and then maintain the view V_T582L.

  • Where to configure the SCAN address?

    Hi,
I'm in the middle of installing the Grid infrastructure cluster for Oracle 11gR2 RAC on AIX 6.1
I had defined the public IPs, private IPs and interconnects in the DNS and hosts files. I am not using GNS because we use static IP Address, no DHCP.
during the installation, I will be asked for SCAN IP address, which I prepared and resolved by DNS, but I don't know where to configure it
The SCAN IP address is not pingable but can be lookedup and I get the reply to it
Where I put it, in the Rack Switch or shall I choose different installation method.
    Kindly advice
    Regards,
    C.

Oracle is clear about the use of /etc/hosts to configure the SCAN:
See Note: *11gR2 Grid Infrastructure Single Client Access Name (SCAN) Explained [ID 887522.1]*
Instead of DNS or GNS, Can we use '/etc/hosts' to resolve SCAN?
Oracle strongly recommends that you do not configure SCAN VIP addresses in the hosts file.  If you use the hosts file to resolve SCANs, then you will only be able to resolve to one IP address and you will have only one SCAN address - be sure to provide a hosts file entry for each SCAN address in hosts file in same order.
If hosts file is used to resolve SCAN hostname, you will receive Cluster Verification Utility failure at end of installation (See NOTE: 887471.1 for more details)
However, since you have already installed with the configuration in the /etc/hosts, you can fix this by configuring the IP addresses in the DNS (since you don't use GNS) and follow the following note to modify the SCAN settings:
*How to Modify SCAN Setting after Installation [ID 972500.1]*

If not, then how can I create them, if so, what are the parameters? Can I download a note or a manual regarding these two services?. Also how can I activate the data collector?

    Hi Mauro,
Please check SAP Note 1501709 for the missing nodes issue.
Regarding the Data Collector, I've never seen this activated anywhere before - without any repercussions. You could maybe try doing some research on a background job called SAP_SRT_COLLECTOR_FOR_MONITORING though.

  • How to call an ebs  web service using the soa gateway

    Hi All,
I installed Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Media Pack v4 (32bit) and now I wanna use the soa gateway to develop and integration and consume web services. I found the soa gateway/irep and I can browse through the existing services. But how can I call one e. g. using .NET?
For .NET, I need an valid address (URL) to the services. How can I get such an URL.
    Example:
I opened the integration repository, browsed to:

  • Are the WLS 9.1 Web Service Ant Tasks ready for prime time?

I am trying to create a Proof of Concept (POC) for Enterprise and B2B Services at Wendy's Int'l, Inc.
As part of this POC, I created a WSDL for an in-house service and then used the wsdlc and jwsc Ant Tasks to translate this WSDL to Java classes and ultimately (I hoped) a deployable services.
In this document, I describe the issues I encountered setting up what I consider to be a simple POC.
I'll try to attach my WSDL file and build.xml so you can follow along.
I'll also try to attach my CSS file so you can compare how the generated WSDL appears in the Browser to the way I want it to appear.
If attachments are not allowed on these forums, then I will wait and see if there is interest in those documents before I paste them under this topic.
Some preliminary information about my environment.
    Environment:
         Windows XP Pro SP2
         WebLogic 9.1
         Java 1.5.0_04
    Service Name:
         AppRelease
Note: If I modify my WSDL (perhaps to add a new Operation or to change the definition of an element) and run wsdlc again, the AppReleaseSOAPPortImpl.java file is overwritten For this reason, I implemented my service logic in a class called AppReleaseServiceImple.java.
    Now, for the issues.
    1.     Bug:
In the WSDL generated by wsdlc, the wsdl:part child of the wsdl:message tag is erroneously prefixed with a colon.
This occurs whether or not I specify a prefix for the http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/ namespace.
Work around: Extract the wsdl from the jar file, fix it and add it back into the jar.
    2.     Bug:
In the WSDL generated by wsdlc, the wsdl:input and wsdl:output children of the wsdl:operation child of wsdl:portType tag are erroneously prefixed with a colon. Like 1 above, this occurs whether or not I specify a prefix for the http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/ namespace.
Work around: Extract the wsdl from the jar file, fix it and add it back into the jar.
The error message generated by Bugs 1 and 2 is not helpful in diagnosing the problem:
    [jwsc] Error at line:46 col:7 ':' expected [?! -- [CDATA[ ]
    3.     Bug:
In the WSDL generated by wsdlc, the documentation elements have all of my html elements stripped out, as well as my xhtml and wsdl namespace references. This completely negates one of the best features of the documentation tag, being able to present the WSDL in a browser as a nicely formatted, human friendly document which is also the underlying WSDL that can be viewed when the person views the source document.
I label this as a bug because it greatly reduces the functionality of the resulting WSDL.
    4.     Annoyance:
The WSDL generated by wsdlc has all of my comments stripped out, except the comments in the xsd:schema section of the wsdl:types element. I would prefer that all my comments be left in the WSDL, but if comments must be stripped out then I think all of the comments should be stripped out.
    5.     Annoyance:
The WSDL generated by wsdlc has my CSS specification stripped.
Work around: I don’t know if adding the CSS back will do any good because I have not yet created a deployable service (see the last issue below).
    6.     Annoyance:
The WSDL generated by wsdlc has different namespace prefixes than the ones I specified for my application's namespace and for the http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/ namespace.
Work around: Perform a find/replace on namespace prefixes "s0" and "s1" to return them to my prefered values.
Another thing I can do at this point is simply replace the generated WSDL in the jar file with my original WSDL. This would address issues 1 thru 6 above.
    7.     Annoyance:
The java source files created by wsdlc are put into a jar file. This makes it annoying when working within a traditional IDE like Eclipse because there is no way to reference the source files within the jar as working source.
Work around: Extract the source files from the jar and identify the resulting directory structure as part of the source structure of the project.
    8.     Bug:
The jwsc task complains if the same parameter name is used in multiple operations. I received the following Errors from jwsc:
    [jwsc] C:\IDE\workspace\Acre-WL9.1\AppReleaseSOAPPort.java 0:0
[jwsc] [ERROR] - Parameter element "{http://acre.services.wendys.com/AppRelease/}garRequest" is not unique across document/literal bare WebService.
Since the operation names are unique, I see no reason to also require uniqueness in the parameter names used by those operations.
Work around: Use unique element names for the input parameters of the services operations.
    9.     Bug:
Once items 1, 2 and 8 above are taken care of, jwsc fails with the following error:
    java.lang.AssertionError: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic.j2ee.descriptor.ApplicationBeanImpl
This seems to be due to the weblogic.jar file not being in the System Classpath.
However, I should note that when I set verbose="on" and debug="on" in the jwsc ant task, there was a message from the task which stated "[jwsc] [search path for class files: [big freakin’ jar list]". In the big freakin’ jar list, I did find weblogic.jar and weblogic.jar has the required ApplicationBeanImpl. This indicates to me that the jwsc task does not fully honor either its classpathref attribute, nor an embedded classpath element.
Work around: Make sure the weblogic.jar is in the System Classpath.
    10.     Bug:
I fixed bug #9 by running a setDomainEnv script and then ran my ant task. This time I received the following output:
    ant build-serviceBuildfile: build.xml
    build-service:
[jwsc] 1 JWS files will be processed.
    [jwsc] Processing JWS: C:\IDE\workspace\Acre-WL9.1\src\com\wendys\services\acre\AppReleaseServiceImpl.java
    [jwsc] JWS: C:\IDE\workspace\Acre-WL9.1\src\com\wendys\services\acre\AppReleaseServiceImpl.java Validated.
    [AntUtil.deleteDir] Deleting directory <some temporary directory>
    BUILD FAILED
    java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
At this point, I am completely stymied about how to proceed.
I wonder what new issues await once this 10th issue is addressed.
Really, is this tool set ready for prime time?

<i>Sorry to hear you are having so many issues with using the WLS 9.1 web service Ant tasks, inside of Eclipse.
I generally create a User Library for the couple weblogic jars needed, and use it (the User Library) in my Eclipse projects that I create JWSes in.</i><br>
I also have a separate WebLogic Library in Eclipse (actually 2 libraries since I work with WL 8.1 and now WL 9.1). As you may know, one of the long-standing issues with the Ant integration within Eclipse is the fact that Ant, being an External Tool, does not receive the Project-specific Paths/Libraries. However, since most Java-relevant Ant tasks can take classpath and classpathref attributes, this is usually not an issue. In the case of the BEA-supplied wsdlc Ant task, it is apparent from the verbose/debug console output that wsdlc can see the jars in its classpathref, but it ignores those references when resolving class references and instead only uses the system classpath.
    <p>
<i>I've only needed the weblogic.jar and xbean.jar, not all the ones you mentioned in an earlier thread of this post.</i><br>
I have not tried to winnow down exactly which jars are required. I simply included all the jars that exist and were added to the system classpath by the setDomainEnv.bat file created by WebLogic 9.1.
    <p>
<i>Afterwards, I create an Ant Builder to build the JWS Web Service EAR, as opposed to fiddlin' with Eclipse.</i><br>
I too use Ant to build my deployable archives. Eclipse is simply my IDE of choice. I validated that all the issues I listed occurred when running Ant from the command line.
    <p>
<i>If you are interested in how I do it, send me an e-mail (to [email protected]), and I'll send you a zip of one of these JWS projects. The build.xml script for the project, takes care of a lot of the "annoyances" you mentioned, one of which I think is not accurate. I have never had a situation where the wsdlc Ant task "overwrote" my XXXImpl.java file..</i><br>
Since I'm doing a POC to determine how we want to proceed with developing Web Services and an SOA in general, I tried to perform the same tasks using Axis 2 1.0, the WebLogic 9.1 tools, and XFire 1.1. Overwriting the Impl class is a common failing in the tools which take a WSDL and create Java source files for all three frameworks.
    <p>
Try my scenario. Add another operation to an existing WSDL, and run the wsdlc Ant Task. The old IMPL class will be over-written.
    <p>
Because of this, I have a separate Impl class and I make sure that all its methods and annotations match the methods and annotations in the Skeleton Impl class created by wsdlc.
    <p>
<i>Maybe that's because I use the <exec> Ant task with jar.exe (the xvf options) in my build.xml, to only get what I need out of the .jar/.zip the wsdlc generates. I'm typically only interest in the interface class that my XXXImpl.java file needs to implements, because I use XMLBeans for the input args (and return values) of my web service operations.</i><br>
Perhaps. I am not using XMLBeans in any of the three frameworks because the resulting service seems to be lighter-weight in all three frameworks if XMLBeans is not used. I'm sure there will be scenarios where XMLBeans is preferred, but I have not encountered that case in this POC.
    <p>
