Configuring UME in XCM

Hi,
I'm new to configuring XCM. Can someone explain me how to configure UME in XCM. I want that users which have been created in CC4, can log in to the B2B shop.
Thanks!!
Greetz,
Timo

Hi Ajay,
UserMapping option is available in EP 7 aslo.
You can find this option, if you follow below steps:
1. Logon as an "Administrator" into EP 7.0
2. Click on "User Administration --> Identity Managment"
3.. Create one user in UME and Save it.
4. Select this user and click on MODIFY button
5.  You can find the "User Mapping" tab on the tab list. this tab is last one.
Reward Points if it is usefull.
Thanks,
Nagaraju

    Ok. I double checked - you´re right. The new CD/DVD set with Solman 7.0 doesn´t support 32bit any more. I HIGHLY suggest to install SolMan on 64bit, you may not be able to use all functionality.
    Now back to your problem:
    Can you open the file? Is it there? There seems to be a permission problem...

  • Confused of configuring UME-Only lowercase password can be used for SAPJSF

    Dear all,
    I'm going to configure UME in portal based on NW7.0 sp13.
    The configuration file "dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml" is used, this portal system is connecting to an ABAP ECC6 system.
    Everything is ok but the password of SAPJSF in ECC6.
    When I set the password all in lower case, the UME can be started successfully;
    When I set ONE character with upper case, the UME will fail to start.
    In developer trace file, it noticed me that the logon username/password is incorrect..
    It seems like the problem of the password compatibility, but it doesn't make any sense that even if I set all character in upper case in Portal configtool, still no use..
    I already set parameter in ECC6:
    login/password_downwards_compatibility=3.
    Could anyone help me on this issue please?
    Thanks
    Best Regards

  • Configuring UME to create virtual group ....

    Hello Friends,
    I am configuring UME to create virtual groups in Portal. And I successfully did that.
    My question is, Can I create virtual groups for multiple user attributes?
    For e.g. Can I create virtual groups based on location as well as employeetype?
    So I would be seeing somewat like this:
    <b>Cadre based groups: </b>Cadre_Staff, Cadre_Managers, Cadre_Executives, Cadre_Presidents
    <b>Location based groups: </b>location_India, location_USA, location_England
    Regards,
    Nilz

    Hi nilz,
    we can create Virtual groups; for that just follow below steps:
    1.Start the Config Tool C:\usr\sap\<SID>\<engine-instance>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat
    Ex: D:\usr\sap\F02\JC00\j2ee\configtool --> configtool.bat
    2.Goto cluster-data --> Global server configuration --> services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.service
    3. Set below properties:
    ume.virtual_groups.names = Sales,Production,accounts
    ume.virtual_groups.user_attribute = myAttribe (give any name)
    ume.virtual_groups.user_attribute.namespace = myNameSpace (give any name)
    4. Save and Restart the Engine.
    5. login to UME then search for Virtual Groups; you will get Sales,Products,Account groups.

  • Configuring UME

    Hi
    my requirement is,
    i need to configure UME to LDAP ( Microsoft ADS) and ECC.
    Also through UME API i need to read users form LDAP alone not in ECC.
    Please let me know in detail.
    Thanks & Regards
    Daya.

  • Configure UME

    Hi All,
    I have done implementation ESS+MSS using UME configured  ABAP system, it is working fine.
    Now I have to change UME configuration  LDAP or JAVA stack database.
    Case 1: IF I am going to use LDAP
    I have to map employee personal number to the user in LDAP and I am goinng maintain same user ID in portal.
    Case 2: If I am going to use JAVA Stack
    I have to maintain same user id in JAVA and ABAP stack or user mapping.
    But client don't want to create user in ABAP (Mapping the personal number same as  LDAP)
    Could you please help me, best way to proceed and what are the things do I need to change in existing project.
    Thanks in advance...
    Regards
    Ben

    Hi Sunil,
    Thank you very much.
    Many to one scenario: (just imagination)
    I will maintain user Id details in JAVA stack including employee personal number.
    and fetch the data based on personal number.
    I red some document regarding LDAP using as UME ...
    Ex:
    Data extraction in SAP HR
    The extraction report in the appendix is based on the SAP report RPLDAP_MANAGER.
    It uses the logical database PNP. The macro RP_PROVIDE_FROM_LAST is used to
    retrieve the last entry of the current period in the table header entry from an internal
    infotype table (here p0001 and p0002). The data is transmitted to the function module
    SPLDAP_RECEIVE_ATTRIBUTES.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SPLDAP_RECEIVE_ATTRIBUTES'
    DESTINATION LDAPDEST
    EXPORTING
    LOGSYS = LOGSYS
    SERVERID = LDAPSRV
    ATTRIBUTES_S = attributes[]
    INITIAL_RUN = LDAPINITIALRUN
    IMPORTING
    RETURN = ERRORS[].
    The function module SPLDAP_RECEIVE_ATTRIBUTES is part of the ABAP stack in a
    Web Application Server and is remote enabled. If the extraction report runs in a SAP HR
    system having the release 4.6 or lower it can to be called remotely in separate SAP Web
    Application Server that than acts as a LDAP Gateway.
    The function module SPLDAP_RECEIVE_ATTRIBUTES needs the following input
    parameters:
    DESTINATION RFC destination that is configured to access the SAP Web
    Application Server remotely where the LDAP connector is
    configured. (Only needed for a SAP HR system having a release of
    4.6 or lower)
    LOGSYS Logical system name of the client where the extraction report runs.
    This value is retrieved using the function module
    'OWN_LOGICAL_SYSTEM_GET'
    SERVERID Name of the LDAP server as it is configured in transaction LDAP in
    the SAP Web Application Server
    ATTRIBUTES_S Internal table that receives the name and values of the Logical SAP
    Data Fields that are mapped in transaction LDAP against the
    directory services attributes of the user object. The internal table
    has the following fields:
    PERNR
    ATTR_TAB
    6
    ATTR_FIELD
    VALUE
    INITIAL_RUN If this flag is set the function module first tries to create a user. It will
    try to update the user if the user already exists. If the flag is omitted
    the function module will first try to update the user and will then try
    to create the user if it does not exist
    The logical SAP data fields can be represented by freely-definable names whereas the
    name of the SAP data structure is fixed to EMPLOYEE. In our example we therefore
    choose meaningful names such as FIRSTNAME and LASTNAME for the SAP data
    fields. The SAP data fields are mapped to the directory services attributes using
    transaction LDAPMAP in the SAP Web Application Server as described later.
    If the first name and the last name of the two employees Bill Smith and Bob Smith are
    extracted the table ATTRIBUTES_S will have the following content.
    PERNR ATTR_TAB ATTR_FIELD VALUE
    0000001 EMPLOYEE FIRSTNAME Bill
    0000001 EMPLOYEE LASTNAME Smith
    0000001 EMPLOYEE SAMACCOUNTNAME E00000001
    0000002 EMPLOYEE FIRSTNAME Bob
    0000002 EMPLOYEE LASTNAME Smith
    0000002 EMPLOYEE SAMACCOUNTNAME E00000002
    Because we have to maintain 60000 users..

  • Troubles when configuring B2B  with XCM

    hello all,
    I m a newbie to sap World..i have some troubles to create a b2b  scenario:
    I'm using XCM and the "internet sales R/3 best practces tutorial" to do this , there are the steps i 've followed :
    1 - create a new custumer specific configuration :
       XCM menu : Start -- Application Configurations -- SAP -- r3shop
    then :     The new Configuration has been created and can be accessed via:
         XCM-Menu -- Start -- Application Configurations  --Customer --<MY_CONFIGURATION>
    2- create JCO component :
    XCM Menu     Start -- Components -- Customer -- JCO
    then :
    XCM-Menu -- Start -- Components -- Customer -- JCO -- <MY_JCO_COMPONENT>
    (the connexion test was OK)
    3- Create a shop component :
    XCM Menu     Start -- Components -- Customer -- Shop
    so there i'm not sure about the OBJECT-PATh : i put
    D:\usr\sap\CRM\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\crm~shopadmin\servlet_jsp\shopadmin\r3shop
    where of course "shopadmin\r3shop" is shared folder
    is that correct?
    then :
    XCM Menu -- Start -- Components -- Customer -- Shop -- <MY_SHOP_COMPONENT>
    4- Assigning the Components to the Configuration
    Use :
    No prolu00E8me with this step.
    then i access B2B XCM config via the url :
    http://host:50000/B2B/admin/xcm/init.do
    and normaly if all was ok i should see "MY_CONFIGURATION" under the menu :
    Start -- Application Configurations -- Customer --
    but i hve nothong there..
    Nor have i "MY_JCO_COMPONENT" under  the menu :
    Start -- Components --Customer -- JCO --
    I've repeated the steps many time by i have the same problu00E8me always at the end.
    <u><b>what is the problu00E8me?</b></u>
    what is the application
    http://host:port/shopadmin/shopamin/init.do
    for and what are the login/pass to acces it?
    thnx a lot

    Hi
    Shop Admin XCM :
    http://rjksystem:57600/shopadmin/admin/xcm/init.do?
    Start-->Application Configuration --> Components --> Customer --> jco
       Here you create the JCO
    Start-->Application Configuration --> SAP --> r/3 Shop
    Here you create the Shop !!! (by using the created JCO)
    Important : The below step is required only when you migrate from 3.1 to 4 version
    Start-->Application Configuration -->Components --> Customer --> Shop
    Configures additional settings used by the selected shop-type. File system path that contains the ISA R/3 shops.The file system path you use for Shop Data upload from the file system to the J2EE DB.
    Shop Admin : for creating the Shop:
    http://rjksystem:57600/shopadmin/shopadmin/init.do
    I think you are right on the remainings !!!
    Please check and let me know !!!
    Thanks

  • Exception by Configuring UME

    Hello,
    I am using CE 7.1 SP5. Today I tried configuring the UME of my local system to use an AS ABAP as data source.
    I want to do this, because my SSO between my local system (which should be a producer portal) and the consumer portal is still not working. Consumer Portal is using ABAP as data source for UME. So I will need this ABAP data source in my local UME too. Is this correct?
    But when I tried configuring the UME I got the following exception:
    "Guest user ids are not unique, found multiple objects for Guest -- UACC.PRIVATE_DATASOURCE.un:Guest - UACC.R3_DATASOURCE1710375.GUEST"
    How can I correct this mistake?
    Best Regards,
    Iris

    Hi Iris,
    The first problem you ran into was because you did not follow the ´prerequisites regarding existing users. The guest user defined by ume.login.guest_user.uniqueids existed simultaneously in the database and in the back-end ABAP system. So it is obvious that you did not follow all of the steps of the procedure as laid out. OK, you solved that by deleting the guest user in your local system.
    Now you have encountered another error. Odds are that your connection data is incorrect (wrong client, wrong system user for communication data, target system is down, network connection problems).
    As I am writing this, you found the default trace suggested by Jo. Is this XI system the one you want to connect to? If the system is down, then the configuration cannot be successful with the UI. There is an offline configuration method, but I would not recommend it if you are new to the AS Java. You can make your system unstartable. But then again, since the guest user no longer exists in your system and the ABAP system you want to connect to might be down, your system is unstartable anyways.

  • Where is the UME data source configuration XML file stored on the server?

    I'm trying to activate windows integrated authentication in my portal server.  The java engine's UME configuration has been loaded as a deep AD read only database using the file "dataSourceConfiguration_ads_deep_readonly_db.xml" but I can't find this on my server.  I need to modify a couple of parameters in there to activate kerberos principal management.  My recent portal training course offered me a completed working example but it was for an ads_flat_writeable_db so I can't simply load that and I need to understand the changes required.
    Where to I find the configuration file on my java instance server so I can make the necessary changes to a copy and upload that?

    Try to read
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e1959b90-0201-0010-849c-d2b1d574768b
    UME user data is stored in one or more data sources. Each type of data source has its own persistence adapter. The persistence manager consults the persistence adapters when creating, reading, writing, and searching user management data. Persistence adapters for the following types of repositories are available: 1. Database: See the Product Availability Matrix on SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/pam60) for details on which databases are supported. 2. u2022 Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory: See the Product Availability Matrix on SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/pam60) for details on which directories are supported. 3. SAP Systems based on Web Application Server 6.20 You can configure UME to use one or more of these persistence devices in parallel. Users can also be stored in several different physical LDAP directory servers, or in different branches of the same LDAP directory server.

  • Reg: ume configuration

    Hello SDNers,
    I have to change the client in the portal side from the default client (001) to 300.
    I suppose i have to do this in system administration->system configuration->ume configuration.
    Is there any other configurations that need to be done ??
    Waiting for your advice to proceed.
    Thanks,
    Abhilash

    Hi,
    You can change that in two ways as follows:
    1. Using visual admin.
    - Goto visual admin --> server0 --> services --> UME Provider
    - Check for the below parameters.
         ume.r3.connection.master.client
         ume.r3.connection.master.passwd
    2. Using Config tool (Instance must be down)
    - Goto to configtool --> switch to configuration editor mode
    - expand CTC --> double click "Propertysheet SystemProperties"
    - Check for BACKEND_CLIENT, BACKEND_SID, J2EE_ADMIN, J2EE_ADMIN etc.

  • Guide me how to automate UME LDAP Configuration

    Hello colleagues,
    I am not sure if this is the right place for putting my question.
    We wanted to automate 'UME LDAP Configuration with Microsoft AD', because we have nearly 25 portals and has to be refreshed for every 3 months from different systems. Instead of configuring UME  every time, we wanted to automate it such that
    it can be done by one click for each portal.
    I am not aware, if it can be done through Webdynpro or Java API.
    Please let me know in which way we can achieve this functionality. If it is in Java then please let me know how to access UME APIs. Moreover Configtool will not save its data at O.S level, it stores in DB.
    Please guide me on achieving this.
    Regards,
    kasi

    Hi Nivas,
    thank you very much for your answer.
    Could you please let me know any APIs to use these functions
    I googled and found APIs for User management ( creating,deleting ,etc..) only.
    I could not find any APIs for LDAP settings in Configtool.
    I wanted to set these values ( which are specified in above link ) from out side.

    venkat

  • Custom XCM configuration.

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement where I need to configure Custom Scenario XCM Extension data. It means I need to create  a new node and with default values. I tried to follow the developer guide which helps me to create Application configuration data but not the scenario XCM Extension data.
    Please help in the same.
    Thanking you in advance.
    Regards,
    Sarath.

    Hello,
    I've finally found a solution so I post it, maybe it will be helpful for someone
    First, modifying customer config-data.xml and scenario-config.xml from NWDS doesn't work for this purpose. Here is what I've done and works but maybe there is a better solution ??
    - add the component : like explained in dev & ext guide, download config-data.xml from xcm and modify it to add the component :
      <component id="myparams">
        <configs>
          <config id="myparamsconfig">
            <params id="default">
              <param name="param1" value=""/>
            </params>
          </config>
        </configs>
      </component>
    and upload the config-data.xml in XCM.
    - add the component to the scenario (in my example b2ccrmstandard), for this modify sap scenario-config.xml (not customer or xcm file, the sap file in crmisaweb~b2c DC, xcm/sap/configuration) and add the line for your new params :
    <scenarios>
       <scenario name="b2ccrmstandard" shorttext="CRM standard configuration for B2C, using javabasket,javatemplate, and CRM order" ccmsscenname="b2ccrmst">
          <configparams>
             <configparam name="sebparamsdata" value=""/>  <!-- <<<------ this line added -->
          </configparams>
    I haven't found any solution to do this in a customer file ... If you have one I'm interested.
    - like explained in dev & ext guide, modify customer xcmadmin-config.xml (in crmtcweb~core DC) to add the component AND scenario metadatas :
    <xcmadmin>
       <componentmetadata>
          <component id="myparams" shorttext="My settings" scope="scenario">
             <longtext>
                My settings
             </longtext>
             <params>
                <param name="param1" type="text" shorttext="param1">
                   <longtext/>
                </param>
             </params>
          </component>
       </componentmetadata>
       <scenariometadata>
          <paramconstraint name="myparamsdata" type="optional" component="myparams">
             <longtext>Define my parameters.</longtext>
             <allowedvalue type="derived" value="myparamsconfig" shorttext="Enable my config"/>
             <allowedvalue type="fix" value="" shorttext="Disable my config"/>
          </paramconstraint>
       </scenariometadata>
    </xcmadmin>
    For the scenario metadata, the 2 allowed values let the choice to the user between an empty value (disabled) and a configuration created based on the myparamsconfig configuration of the myparams component (type="derived"). So it will work like the other components of the scenario (ui, jco, etc.). That's good for my need but you should need an other configuration.
    - Build and deploy
    Then the myparams > myparamsconfig appears under Components > SAP and Components > Customer, you can create different configurations (that you will link to different XCM scenarios), and the dropdownlist myparamsdata appears in the b2ccrmstandard scenario (display advanced settings) and in all the customer scenarios based on the b2ccrmstandard, so you can choose a different config for each customer scenario.
    I don't have tried yet but you should access to these parameters like explained in the dev & ext guide at section "API for reading XCM parameter Values".
    Remember to modify other config-data.xml by downloading/uploading them when you will transport the modifications through your different environments with NWDI !
    Enjoy !
    Julien

    Hi Fredrik,
    The itemSalesDoc will return Webcatitem from getCatalogProduct only if you add the item in the basket from the catalog. If its a direct product entry in the basket the variable in itemSalesDoc will not get populated. Consider this scenario:
    I have same item in two different catalog areas. Now SAP does not know which WebCatItm should be part of itmSalesDoc until unless you added the product through ISA Product Catalog.
    Hope it helped.
