Configuring XI Adapters

Hi all,
I am a basis consultant, installed Netweaver 2004s (XI 3.0 on Oracle 10.2 windows platform) and having a minimum knowledge ion configuring XI
I have configured SLD as per the guide and the RFC connections are woeking fine..But When ever i login into http://<hostname>:50100/nwa, i m receiving the following messages:
System Landscape Directory is not accessible & Only local system can be administered..is the above one a error or jst a message??
My main concern is: XI consultant reported me that none of the default adapters are existing. i have logged into INTEGRATION BUILDER (CONFIGURATION) and in the Adapter engine i find only "Integration Server" .
when i logged into Runtime Woek bench and clicked on "Cache Connectivity test" it showed me the following result:
integration server Java is working Fine. - Green
Adapter Engine af.iep.igatesap09
-- RED
Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory failed; cache could not be updated
[Fetch Data]: Unable to find an associated SLD element (source element: SAP_XIIntegrationServer, [CreationClassName, SAP_XIIntegrationServer, string, Name, is.01.igatesap09, string], target element type: SAP_BusinessSystem)
[Data Evaluation]: GlobalError
And when i click on performance Monitoring in Runtie work bench, i m receiving the following error:
4 Message(s) :  XI domain unable to specify Integration Server - Attempt to create JCo connection object failed for domain domain.01.igatesap09 - Integration Server unable to specify a JCo client - No component names available from Integration Server
Please help me on this...My main objective now is to enable the default adapters...
Thanks,
Subbu

Check the page 130.
I think it should be page 13....page 130 talks about PCK.....

No, unless you write your own ant script to create / update your Oracle AS installation.
Or if you use Weblogic you could use WLST scripting for Datasource etc.

  • OVD -  configuring multiple  adapters not working

    Hello
I have an OVD (11.1.1.6.0) installation on Linux. I have configured two LDAP adapters (Oracle_Internet_Directory) in it.
Now when I try 'ldapsearch' to test the connection, I see that users from only one ldap server is getting authenticated.
For example lets say I have adapters A and B configured in OVD, and when I check authentication with only 'A' in active status, it works fine.
Similarly , if I disable A and activate B, then authentication from B works fine.
But if I activate both A and B, then only one of them is authenticating. Any clues on what could be going wrong?
I am completely new to Oracle virtual directory. Played with it a bit, but with no luck :(
To give you some more details about the setup, both the LDAP adapters map to the same domain (data and hosts are different). That is, the 'root' and 'remote base' of both adapters are same (like dc=a,dc=b,dc=com)
    thanks
    T2

    Hi T2,
If you have properly configured the LDAP adapters in OVD; then you should be able to authenticate against both LDAP servers.
Is it possible for you to search for users in ODSM User Interface after you add both LDAP adapters?
If you are successfully able to search users from both adapters then you should be able to authenticate as well.

to consume JMS messages from RIB AQ RMS service.
The version details of the softwares used are as follows,
    1) RIBAQ is 13.2
    2) RMS 13.2
    3) weblogic 10.3.2
    4) Oracle soa 11.1.1.2
    we have configured the following
    1. a data source with jndi name 'jdbc/rmsjms'was created to connect to the RIBAQ database.
    2. a jms module was created
    3. a foreign server was created within the jms module
    4. the foreign server had 'JNDI PRoperties'assigned to 'datasource=jdbc/rmsjms'and JNDI Initial Context Factory to 'oracle.jms.AQjmsInitialContextFactory'
5.the foreign server points to two foreign destination topics
    4. the destinations had to be given a remote JNDI and Local JNDI names
    5. a connection factory bearing reference to the JNDIname of JMS adapter viz.eis/aqjms/Topic was created.
kindly clarify on the following points.
    1. what is expected to be the value and format of 'JNDI Properties' within the foreign server.
2.what is expected to be the value of remote JNDI and Local JNDI names of the remote destinations in the foreign server
3.which of these shd reflect in the adapter configuration in the bpel code.
    TIA

    1. what is expected to be the value and format of 'JNDI Properties' within the foreign server. In the JNDI Properties field, enter datasource=<datasource jndi location>. Replace the place holder with the JNDI location of your data source.

  • RFC Adapters for EBP and SUS systems

    Hi!
We have Extended Classic Scenario up and running and now configuring SUS integration. We have done SLD configuration already and via TR SLDCHECK (has been executed on SRM server) has seen that XI connection is fine.
Now we have a question whether we need to configure RFC adapters for SUS and EBP systems? If yes, how can we do this?
    Best Regards,
    Siarhei

you need to define RFC connections between SUS and EBP  , only if you want user synchronization between the systems....
connection should be of type --> ABAP CONNECTIONS --> type 3
and this is only optional and not mandatory .
you can find more details at the following customizing entry..
    TRANSACTION SPRO
    --> Supplier Relationship Management --> Supplier Self-Services --> Master Data --->

  • Configure SSL in J2SE Plain adapter

I tryed to configure SSL in J2SE Plain adapter. (7.0)
    I've generated a certificate file "certif_file.cer" and
while I put in GUIBrowserEngine Property File the following
    line:
    HTTP.SSLcertificate=F:\tech_adapter_70\certif_file.cer
I've got the following error message:
    16:19:10 : Error(s) in GUIBrowserEngine configuration
    parameters found:
ERROR: Certificate file 'F: ech_adapter_70certif_file.cer' not
    found, must quit!
It seems that something wrong with my definition of full path
to this file. But I do not find from SAP Library any solution
    about this problem.
    Could you help me?

    Hi Boris,
Please try to give the full path using backslash '/' :
    e.g.  F:/tech_adapter_70/certif_file.cer
    I hope it will work.
The J2SE Adapter Engine uses SSL only for communication line encryption, not for client and server authentications. Since this is a drawback with respect to security, you should use the J2EE Adapter Engine in insecure environments.
All configuration data for the Plain J2SE Adapter Engine is maintained in flat property files. The file for the engine administration data itself is located in the following directory:
    <installation directory>/tech_adapter/BaseConfiguration
The file for the adapter configuration data is located in the following directory:
    <installation directory>/tech_adapter/Configuration
The adapters of the Plain J2SE Adapter Engine are configured locally and not in the Integration  Directory. Exchanged messages are also stored directly in the file system.
Therefore, ensure that only the operating system user, who has started and therefore owns the adapter engine process, can read the property files and has access to the directories used for message exchange.
    *Pls: Reward points if helpful*

  • What is adapter configuration in XI ?

    Dear support,
we have installed neweaver 2004 system and useing the same as XI server.
now developers while working on some html configuration and integration found
THERE IS ADAPETR CONFIGURATION PENDING FROM BASIS POINT OF VIEW.
We have done all required settings like SLD and others to be able to work on j2ee side.
i have gone through weblog  /people/venugopalarao.immadisetty/blog/2007/03/15/adapter-engine-cannot-be-found-in-integration-directory
There are two ways to check the adapter engine status in Integration Directory.
Go to integration directory to clear the cache , Environment -> Clear SLD Data Cache.
First: Check the cache notification in ID , Environment menu -> Cache Notification
It should not show any error message 'Adapter Engine not found in Integration Directory'.
Second: Check whether the adapter engine is showing in communication channel level for any adapter either in sender or receiver
But still developers say they are not able to find ADAPTERS list required for their integration and still configuration of Adapters pending , can anybody let me know
what exactly as Basis person i need to do to get Adapters in place for XI system.
    Best Regards,
    AjitR

    hi Ajju,
have you followed installation document ? we should not miss any step in that.
this is common problem.follow as it says in page 46, or you can have exact service level from OSS.
"Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis 6.40 SR1
    1. Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz from <Components DVD>/XI /XI_CONTENT to directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
    2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.
    3. Choose Repository (Design).
    4. Choose &#8594; Tools &#8594; Import Design Objects
    2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz
    5. Import the file.
Performing Initial Adapter Engine Cache Refresh
Perform the initial cache refresh of the Adapter Engine by executing the following URL:
    http://<host>:<Java-Port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
Where <host> is the Adapter Engine host and <Java-Port> is the HTTP port of the J2EE engine (The following naming convention applies: 5<Java_instance_number>00. 50000, for example, if your Java instance is 00).
Log on data: XIDIRUSER with password
Check that the response indicates that the cache refresh has been successfully executed."
basically you are missing basis component.you need to import that and do the <b>cache full refresh</b>.it should able to see Adapter in ID and well as list RWB->Component moni-->Adapter monitoring ,you able to see all the greyed adapters there.
and  also try searching in SDN there is lot o it about this issue(missing adapters)

  • Configurations to post 850 from Business partner to our SAP system

    Hey Guys
i m doing a EDI 850 to IDOC scenario and need to send Functional acknowledgment back to the business partner.
The business partner sends us the Purchase order via VAN ,we do the message mapping within XI and then post it to our SAP R/3 system as ORDERS05.
so this scenario is a simple 850->XI->ORDERS05.
so i configured a Seeburger FTP sender adapter, gave the mapping name under modules tab ,configured a received IDOC adapter and posted the message to SAP R/3 system.
Now the issue is in sending the acknowledgement 997 back to the business partner.
    My questions are:
1)How will the acknowledgement be triggered,is it automatically triggered or we need to do something with IDOC STATUS.SYSTAT01?
2)How will i configure my adapters to send the acknowledgement back to the Business partner.i guess i need to use split997,will it be configured as sender or receiver?
    Thanx
    Saif
Pl:I have gone through all the links on seeburger.

    Hi Saif,
if you have to do a functional ack. This is a standard functionality available in Seeburger.
If you see your sender communication channel ther will be modules ....like
    Classifer-> BIC>Spliter--->CallAdapter
the BIC will do the Main mapping (for the fun. ack. 997)  and child mapping ( for your PO) and post two messages into XI server.
You can map the main mapping payload and send it back to the business partner as a functional acknowledgement (997)
if you are refering to Orders Ack. ie, the ack. of successfully posted Orders in the backend.
You have to trigger an outbound ORDERSP  onces the inbound ORDERS05 idoc posted by maintaing the proper Out put types .
Map this outbound ORDERS idoc to EDI 855 structures and send it to the VAN of business partner.
    Regards,
    Sunil.

  • Adapter configuration & load balancing

    Hi,
I posted questions for my requirements on Adapter forum but did not get any answer.
    Hope this forum can help.
We started a POc with Oracle As adapters for EBS. As part of that we are trying following taks,
    1) Connect to multiple EBS instances & deploy individual adapter for same on AS
    2) Use these two instances for loadbalancing & scalaing
I am not bale to find information about above two in Oracle Adapter documentation.
I could build sample EBs adpater scenario with concurrent programs and use a default APPS adapter deployed on AS server by modifying oc4j-ra.xml. But failed to delpoy multiple instances that can be viwed from Enterprise Manager.
Also how to configure my adapters for better load balancing and sclaling. Is there any doc link that i can read?
