Configuring your web-filter to sync iPads with the cart.

Just to let everyone know who is in the school systems using iPads with sync-carts, when you try to use the Apple Configurator and your behind a web filter you need to allow a certain IP address so you can communicate with apple. I kept getting an error that said " retreiveing iOS information from apple" then it would time out and get an internet error.
The IP address that I allowed was 17.154.66.38.
This IP needs contacted so that Apple can communicate with your iPads and register them or something IDK but I know now that it works and i'm happy.
I used Activity Monitor to check what IP or port the program was trying to access and sure enough it was 17.154.66.38.
I hope this helped some tech people out their, hence their is no resource for this important step in iPad deployment.

Answer.....
Yes you will lose the films that you downloaded to the iPad when you sync with your own iTunes unless you transfer the purchases into your own iTunes library. Were these movies that you purchased? If so, you might be able to download them again for free. Do you have multiple computers that you sync from or is this someone else's purchased content?
You can select whatever you want to sync to all of your devices in iTunes, you do not have to sync the same content to all device.

The only option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings. Hope you have a backup.
Follow the instructions in iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Any content that is stored only on the device and not sync'ed with iTunes, like app logins or data, will be lost during this process. Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.

If you lost all your apps on both the iPad and the computer, you can download the apps again at no cost. You can search your emails for app store purchases if you can't remember all the apps that you have downloaded.

Syncing Ipad with old account

I have had to create a new ITunes account. When I try to sync my Ipad with the windows PC it does not take over all the songs from my PC. Is this because I have songs on my PC from two different accounts?

I synced iPad with PC. That PC died. Misplaced iPad. Set up new apple ID on new computer. Cannot sync iPad with new computer because the email for the original account is now decommissioned. any help would be appreciated.

Try authorizing the new computer usinjg iTunes with the new Apple ID.
Launch iTunes. From the menu bar (top of your screen) click Store > Authorize This Computer
Then try syncing.

Make sure that you are logged into your iTunes account on the computer. Also go to the Store menu and make sure the computer is authorized. This must be the same account you were already using for the iPad.
Now try to transfer purchases again. The apps really should sync with iTunes, but never having done this myself, I could easily be wrong.

No you can not.
I commonly use two Aperture libraries with my iPhone. When I sync the iPhone with my sync selected library open, new and updated photos get synced. When I sync my iPhone with my non-sync selected library open, nothing happens in the sync process.
Though I haven't tried it, I imagine if the sync selected library got changed, it would wipe out the photo content of the sync device before doing a sync.

Note: What I mean by sync selected library is the last Aperture library selected in the synchronization process with a given device. I have a library that I chosen to use in iTunes. That would be my synced selected library. If I do a sync while another library is selected, iTunes does not recognize that any photo synchronization has happened. Though when switching back to the sync selected library, iTunes again updates to reflect information pertinent to that library after the device is unplugged and replugged.

You can turn that feature off in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Contacts>Show in App Switcher>Recents>Off.

We have enabled context sensitive DFF in Bank Branch Page for HZ_PARTIES DFF , We have created Flex Map so that only bank branch context fields are only displayed in the bank branch page and as we know party information DFF is shared by supplier and Customer Page so we dint want to see any Bank Branch fields or context information in those pages.
We have achieved the requirement but when open existing branches bank branch update is throwing below error message :

this error is thrown only when we open existing branches, if we save existing branch and open then it is not throwing any error message.
