Confirm Successful Test in Normal Correction (SDMJ)

Hello,
In normal correction (SDMJ) workflow, the action Confirm Successful Test is selected in the Development with Release phase of a project/maintenance cycle. The status of the Change document changes to Consolidated after that, and you then be able to move the cycle to Test phase.
How can we customise the standard workflow so that Confirm Successful Test is selected in the Test phase? This seems to make better sense.
I'd appreciate any help from any one of you who have done some customising to the SDMJ standard workflow. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Li,
I had the same dscussion with my customers more than once, it is hard to understand to perform the action "Confirm Successful Test" before Test phase.
You could add another status to SDMJ (or a copy of SDMJ, for instance ZDMJ) before Consolidated.
But we selected another option, by using test messages during test phase and therefore following SAP standard process. So, a developer confirms successful integration/unit testing after he finished his development/customizing activities in dev by changing the status to consolidated.
If some issues are detected in Test phase, we are using test messages to correct it. But you are right, at the end of test phase there is no additional status which says: all is fine, go ahead and move it to production. Only be checking that all Test messages are finished, the Production transport approver can be sure, all issues have been resolved.
But by adding another status, please consider this: You have to create a copy of SDMJ (ZDMJ). After this, all enhancements and changes to SDMJ delivered by SAP, you have to do manually for your new transaction type ZDMJ, otherwise you will not get the functionality. That's why I'd recommend to use SDMJ as delivered by SAP and also use Test messages during test phase.

I am unable to chage the status of normal correction to confirm successful test in solman. Its shows error:
Not all test transports are imported .
I have imported the test trasnport in to test system successfully but still i am getting this error . I have also checked blogs in SDN but non of them refers to any solutions. But I can see lot of people have faced this issue.
My configuration is fine and no error in application log.
Can any body help me to find the resolution for this problem? answers will be rewarded.

Thanks for the update. But non of the above option can resolve m issue because :
1) Note 1352886: is not relavent as I laready have the higher patch level of solution manager for ST comonant( SAPKITL431).
2) I have already gone through this blog this blog talks about the status of maintenance cycle but in my case the maintenance cycle status is fine (in developemnt without release) . So as per process till now i am on the correct status.
I appreciate your updaes but still I am not able to change the status to consolidate. because of error Not all test transports have been imported.
Please let me know if you have any other solutions for this error.

Charm Status hangs while saving Confirm Successful test

Hi, I'm Unable to set the status to <Confirm successful test>...ChaRM document is hanging without getting saved.
Please let me know what are the possible issues.?

Can you tell us if your transport imported with error in QAS system?
If yes,then in SCMA you can click on 'Correct import(repair flag)' button. It will give you the list of transports that went in error for all (*) users in QAS or PRD systems. Then you can select the transports one by one and click 'error corrected' button.
After this you can try again to change the status of CD to 'Successfully Tested'.
If No,please check the job log of collector job SM:TMWFLOW_CMSSYSCOL and see if it is running fine.
The production import queue doesn't get updated with QAS transports due to failure of mentioned job,so when you are scheduling import job it may not be getting any transport to import.
Also, if you have 5 system landscape and you are moving the changes to QAS system of N+1 landscape, and because of ChaRM configuration, changes are not yet allowed to go in import queue of N landscape ,then we get such warnings.

Normal corrections "SDMJ" are not visible under tcode "DSWP"

I have the following problem by working with ChaRM and normal corrections.
There are two types of normal corrections:
1) Normal Correction (type:SDMI)
2) Normal Correction (type: SDMJ)
Problem
Since a few days it is not possible to see all the SDMJ normal corrections within tcode
DSWP --> Change Management --> Drop Down "Not Completed".
Only the SDMI normal corrections are visible there.
Questions:
how can this issue be customized in order to see the normal corrections of type: SDMJ in tcode DSWP?

SDMJ can't set "Confirm Successfull Test"

in SDMJ i want to set status CONSOLIDATED status by the action "CONFIRM SUCCESSFUL TEST" but its not setting the status "consolidated" so that i can import the actual TR to QAS.
Any idea??
I have released and imported the TOC from my tasklist and i can see it in my QAS as well.

i reimported transport request from task list, it was performed successfully ut still cant change the status of the cjange request.

CHARM: Developer and Tester same USER in normal correction

Hi Expert,
i'd like to know if in a normal correction it is possible that Developer and Tester are the same persone.
So the same user have to confirm development and confirm sucessful test.
Now if i try to use the same user i've an error.
Can you help me ??

search for Make Settings to Change Transaction Types, and select that activity.
Highlight SDMJ, select the Use Partner Functions folder on the left
in the table on the right:
The first column in the table is the status
The second column in the table is the partner function that the current business partner will be assigned to when save is clicked and the status becomes the first column.
The third column in the table is used for determining if partner functionsu2019 business partners are the same when the document is saved and the status becomes the first column. For example, the Tester (SDCD0002) equals the Developer (SDCD0001) when the status is Confirmed (E0009).
Delete the value in the third column to stop the comparison.

ChaRM: Normal Change - Not possible to set "Successfully Tested" unless the Maint. Cycle is set to "In Development with Release"

I'm doing some tests with ChaRM, Normal Change scenario.
As far as I know, the following steps would be the correct sequence (concerning development and test phases only):
1) Developers perform the correction in DEV and release their TASKS of the transport request
2) Developer Lead set the Normal Change document status to "to be tested"
3) In background, a Transport of Copies is created with all data previously stored in the original transport request. Then this ToC is transported into QAS
4) Change Manager set the Maintenance Cycle status to "Test"
5) Tester performs the test into QAS
6) Tester provides a valuable feedback and set Normal Change document status to "tested successfully"
According to the following SAP Portal article, it seems to be correct:

During my tests, however, I have noticed that it is just possible to go from step 5 to 6 if the Maintenance Cycle status is set to "In Development with Release" (go a step back in the Cycle). Otherwise, I get the following error messages:
Warning Message Details Status was reset by system
Warning Message Details Action RELEASE_ALL cannot be performed during this maintenance phase
Warning Message Next status cannot be set because some actions cannot be executed.
Once I have done the Cycle status change, then it is possible to move from 5 to 6 without errors and then the original transport request is transported into QAS too.
Question: Is this the correct behavior or am I missing customizing?

Thanks for your reply.
It is kinda weird the steps sequence, since the Tester needs to tell the Change Manager to move the cycle's status before approving the correction done in QAS (successfully tested).
Perhaps a new action between "to be tested" and "successfully tested" could exist, in order to request the CM to perform the cycle update.
But OK, that's how it is.

Normal correction: how to assign developer or tester?

I have implemented ChaRM. I have one concern infront of me regarding the process. My ChaRM is working fine. When I create a Normal Correction (NC) or UC, I can see the tab for Change Manager, IT Operator and Current Processor. I do want to know how the request will determine who is the developer or tester? Once I create a request, it is visible in the assinged person's queue. As I am not able to specify Developer and Tester in the request, how they will come to know about the CR?
In Partern Determination procedure, I can see SDHF0001 function is assigned for SDMJ and SDHF. I can only define 4 roles there. How can I add more?
Please help me ASAP.

Hi Rajeev,
did you have a look at the partner tab under "transaction data"? Is that what you are looking for?
It is just possible to display four entries under "fast entry", but you can assign lots of partners in the partner tab.
There are also several possibilities for the customization of the partner determination like access sequences, see IMG activity CRMC_PARTNER_AS.

Charm Normal Correction(Maintenance) not able to generate with SDMJ

I have configured Servic Desk & CHARM newly. Urgnt correction is working fine.
But when i select the subject ' Normal Correction(Maintenance) ' in change request it creates a correction with Transaction type-SDMI
My requirement is SDMJ Normal Correction(Standard). why system is automatically taking SDMI insted SDMJ.

Normal Correction flow & Transport of copies

Hi,
I am performing following steps for Normal Correction. But when I first time schedule the imoprt job, nothing is moved to Quality system.
u2022     Action u2018Set to In developmentu2019. Status changes to u2018In Developmentu2019.
u2022     Perform action u2018Create Transport Requestu2019. Transport Request (ID6K900342) created.
u2022     Change the Maintenance Cycle phase to u2018Development with Releaseu2019
u2022     Developer completes the work & releases the Task in satellite system
u2022     Action: u2018Test Transportu2019. Creates Transport of copies (ID6K900344)
u2022     Schedule the import job. ( But after executing also nothing will be moved to Quality)
u2022     Action: u2018Complete Developmentu2019. System creates another new Transport of copies (ID6K900347) for Original Request.
u2022     Schedule the Import job. ( But after executing also nothing will be moved to Quality)
What could be the reason. both the TP copies are in queue only, nothing is moved to quality.

Let me try to explain:
NC => 80000001
1. Create TR
XXXK0001 (Original TR)
2. "Test Transport" or "Complete Development"
XXXK0001 (Original TR) -> still not released
XXXK0002 (ToC- copy of XXXK0001)-> is created in DEV
3. Import TRs to QAS (from task list)
XXXK0001 (Original TR) -> still not released
XXXK0002 (ToC) -> is moved to QAS
4. Now the changes are in QAS, but is not placed in the PRD import queue. So, you can test it with no risk.
5. If you have problem, go back to 'In development'
Correct the problem in XXXK0001
and go to step 2 again.
6. If the changes are OK in QAS
- Select 'successful tested'
XXXK0001 (Original TR) -> is released
7. Import to QAS
XXXK0001 imported in QAS and automatically placed in PRD import queue.
8. Import to PRD
The ToC is used to avoid import an inconsistent TR into PRD system, because once it has been imported in QAS, the same will be available to import into PRD, without any test.

Reseting status of normal correction

Hello.
After update up to version ST 20 (SAPKITL430) one more error appear in system. After processing of any activity with normal correction and trying to save this document system resets status of correction to "Created". I have found coresponding SAP Note 919477, but it has't any correction instruction... Can you help me?

Hehe... you are right.
First off I think it should be SDMI_ACTIONS not DMI_ACTIONS.
And yes, there should be some more instructions, hehe. Probably delete it (after making a screenshot).
The selected schedule condtion looks strange. Because as for what I can tell it says:
Set User Status to E0001 (new) when user status is not:
consolidated AND NOT productive AND new (consolidated and productive belong to SDMJ not SDMI, new fits to both)
OR
in developement (fits to SDMI and SDMJ)
So whenever you set (SDMI or SDMJ) to "in developement" it will be set back to E0001. Very strange.
Guess you may delete it or at least disable the action.

Normal Correction document is reset to Created by itself

Dear everyone:
We have configured ChaRM - Solution Manager 4.0 (SP9). The ChaRM works fine on Urgent Correction, but not for Normal Correction. The Status of (Normal) Correction document always reset back to Created. It does not want to stay as 'In development' status.
Here is the step I took to create new change document with a Subject : Normal Correction(maintenance).
I authorized the change document, then I choose Maintenance Cycle (Normal/Periodic Maintenance).
Next document / correction document -> 8000000196, Status: Created. I choose set in Development. - Status of correction document is: In Development
Next step, I choose Create Transport Request - transport request generated for document. Then all the sudden the status of correction Document is back to Created.
And I can not go to any where else....
Would anyone please help me out?

There are some actions are the detail -
Action 1: (yellow light) During Creation
detail: (green) check successful
Action 2: (yellow light) Check Consistency:
detail: (green) Check successful
Action 3: (red light) for Copy a Solution Manager Context:
detail: (green) date/time stamp
(green) Processing SOCM_COPY_CONTEXT is started.
(red) Action could not be successfully executed (no processing parameter)
The other one has yellow status, and the processing parameter shown as
--> No container is available, for application name CRM_ORDER, Action profile SDMI_Action
Action 4: (green) set to 'In Development' :
(green) Processing HF_SET_STATUS Is Started
(green) Action successfully completed
Action 5: (green) Create Transport Request:
(green) Processing HF_Execute_Action Is Started
(green) Request ID and Number created
(green) Action successfully completed
As soon as triggered Create transport, then the Document status back to 'Created', and I only have two choices in the action button ... set in Development or Cancel Procedure.
What would cause this issue ?

Charms : Background job not scheduled (normal correction) ?

I am trying to run a dry cycle for normal correction but when i go to task plan in any ticket to release a request. When i schedule this job " release a request" , i dont see any job running in background in SM37. I think job is not gettin sceduled properly.

All right. We need to dig this one
I guess you schedule the import by going the the tasklist
and you get a red flag for this activity in the calendar ? do you have any error message ?
If the messagein the task-list is not self-explanatory you can check the SLG1 log in SOLMAN. Which error message do you get there. (select the correct time frame, the log could be big)
My guess is that some S_RFC authorisation is still missing there
This authorisation is outside SAP_ALL and is often the cause of this kind of issue
Tell me the error message and we will hopefully fix this (I had the same kind of issue when I started last year)
