Confirmation of assembly

hi experts,
My product contains so many assembly (from one mould(cavities)) ,so while conforming after production, it there is any damage in any one of the assembly parts how can i conform the remaining assembly(parts).But i dont like to define the sub assembly in BOM

Hi!,
It is always advisable to define the different assemblies(which are being produced concurrently in one go) separately if they differ in shape and size and should be defined as by-product or co-product(as per the case) in the BOM. But if you are producing identical assemblies from one shot of mould then you can confirm it as scrap (if you don't want to keep an account of that any further) or confirm it as scrap material attached in the BOM as by product(which can be managed as inventory with different valuation).

In OIS2 define a profile and assign procedure PPAU and configure PPAU as
usage = 03,
EQ re = 01.
Assign this profile to assembly as well as product, that profile u have to assign it in material master work scheduling screen.
Now when you go for confirmation in co11n system will ask you the serial no.
Now you do the confirmation...you can get what you described.
This is a standard Sap functionality.First do confirmation and then do goods receipt in MB31 where you assign serial numbers.
OR.
An other way is go to COIB here u have to enter the the serial number and material then it will display the this serial number generated against which production order.and if ur generating number of serial number against single production order then it will dispaly all serial number.
COIB -
> enter material number and serial number -
> click on list<>tree--
>again enter the serial number and material -
>click on explode it will display the production order and if number of serial numbers are their then it will display at the bottom

Confirmation of Finished Material

Dear SAP Experts,
I am facing an issue. I want to make such scenario that system does not allow to confirm header material until confirmation of assemblies. Please guide how is it possible through standard.
Secondly I want to make such scenario in confirmation that system does not allow to confirm order until posting of 311 reservation against order.
Please guide how is it possible through standard.

Hi Umar,
In confirmation parameters OPK4 - for the combination of Plant/Order Type in individual entry tab activate Goods movement and Terminate for incorrect goods movement. With this setting and activating backflush for the assemblies when you do confirmation if stock of the assemblies is not available then confrimation will fail for the header material. It applciable to all orders for which confirmation is done.
For second query its not possible with standard you need to use some exit or BAdi.

Order does not have any selectable item .

                          I am trying direct production scenario where I have assembly with SPK 50 and ( PT : E) . I have converted planned order for header material and automatically prod order is created for assembly also . For assembly I procured material and after MIGO ( GR ) stock is updated . But while doing Goods receipt in MB1A ( MT 261 ) for assembly production order system showed message order does not have any selectable item .
I confirmed the assembly order but stock is not reducing ( No goods issue happed for assembly ) .
I guess, in direct production we need not to do goods issue for header material ( or higher assembly ) but what about the lower most assembly ? I think we have to do goods issue for lower assembly ( that is procured raw materials ) .

I Hope ur using collective order concept,
In a collective order, goods movements (GI & GR) are usually not required for assemblies that are directly produced.
When u do the confirmation for Lower level order, Produed assemblies will be issued to Higher level order directly, so manual goods issue not possible for   assemblies to Higher level order.
U can confirm this, with Higher level order cost analysis after the confirmation of loer level order.
So need not issue the produced assembly to higher level order using the MB1A.
Only thing u have to activate Collective order with goods movements cjech box for Order type at OPJH .
For Lower level order (Assembly order ) good issue for   procured components of assembly can be done using MB1A with MVt type 261.
I hope this will clear ur doubt if yes , Reward and close.

Activity backflushing in REM

Hi,
We follow repetitive manufacturing for FERT materials with Prod version, Rate routing and Product cost Collector. In our REM profile for posting activities we have assigned the option 'Using data from prem. costing for prod. cost collector'. We are saving the preliminary cost estimate for prod cost collector periodically(including the activity cost). In this case while doing assembly backflushing for the FERT material the activities are not posted as per the values defined in the rate routing. Please let me know the reason for the same.

Dear Ravi Kumar,
I'm not meaning about cost calculation,What I mean to say is if there's any change in BOM
component's are quantities or rate routing operation details the first step you have to do is in KKF6N-->
for that material,plant,production version goto change mode and click on costing button and save the
datas,so that the latest changes are taken up for the preliminary costing.
Because based on this only your confirmation either assembly or component or activity backflush is
carried out.
So again in activity backflushing you have 2 options for the radio button selection,
1. No planned activities from routing
2.Fetch Planned activities from routing(this picks the data from your routing)
The options No planned activities from routing and Fetch planned activities from routing provide you with
three different ways of entering activity consumption or activity scrap.
1. Fetch from the routing without planned activities.
2. Fetch the planned activities from the routing with specification of a reference quantity.
3. Fetch the planned activities from the routing without specification of a reference quantity.
If you select the option No planned activities from routing, you can use the "Process activities" option to
manually enter excess consumption or component scrap.
So check and revert back if there is any more queries.

Phantom assembly confirmation

if I have an Product, and in its BOM there is a phantom assembly item which has its own routing. Question is, can i confirm also the operations for that phantom assembly? How is confirmation done, when there is only one production order (which is for the Product itself)

Yes it's same, you have to move all the operations of the phantom material routing to the header material, then only those operations are used for scheduling, costing puposes.
Even in costing system will not consider the phantom routing for the cost calculation when co is doing with qty. struc.
They will encounter problem.
so make sure that there is no routing for the phaantom materials and all the operations are moved to the header material.

Sales order schedule confirmed date will consider Production capacity load

As we know about schedule confirm delivery dates of sales order will consider based on material master lead time ,shiping point etc
How to consider production capacity plan on sales order's delivery date.
Say for example :
Production workcenter capacity to produce the XYZ material 10qty in a Day.
today i have created the sales order XYZ materail qty of 100. lead days has give based of MMR 21 days 17-07-2010( 3 sundays)
and in same day i have created other sales order XYZ material qty 5000 ,the lead days again it will came 17-07-2010.
Now my client requiremnt is when the schedule days is confirming in the sale order it sholud also consider the production capacity planning also(CR01,CR02)
Even though my work centers are overloaded it is confirming the sales order on 17-07-2010 (based on leads days in MMR)

This is a complex issue; best solution is by using APO/GATP.
If not, then in ERP only, the second best is:
1) Work with assembly processing in SO, meaning that a production/planned order is automatically created in the customer order during order creation.
2) Then, after the order is created it is scheduled, and the delivery date proposal is based on that.
3) Now you can check in the order that there are no capacity overloads, and all capacity required to produce on the proposed date is available. If yes, you're done. If not, it gets a bit complex, since you actualy need to switch to capacity planning, do capacity leveling and dispatch (PP), and the you get a new feasible schedule proposal based on that.
APO/GATP could do all that automatically!

The type or namespace name 'Reporting' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

I have a Windows app that was built some 7 years ago on a WinXP machine using VS2005. It uses Crystal Reports for the reporting. We recently got new machines with Win7 x64 and I installed VS 2013 Pro. I moved the app to my machine and upgraded
it to that VS version. It previously had a .NET Framework target of version 2.0. I changed the target to version 4.5.
I want to use the MS Reporting instead of Crystal Reports. However, I cannot get the ReportViewer control to show up in the Toolbox.
I downloaded and installed the ReportViewer Runtime 2012. I installed the ReportViewer using the NuGen GUI and console. I tried adding the control to the Toolbox using Tools > Choose Toolbox Items... but it never shows up after I browse to
the Microsoft.ReportViewer.WinForms.dll file and select it. I manually typed 'Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportViewer' and the intellisense came up fine. But when I build the project I get the error shown in this post's title.
I'm at a complete loss. I've searched all over and tried everything I can find on the subject with no luck.

The Report Viewer will not appear on the Toolbox, even with references to that assembly. However the Crystal Reports viewer IS in the Toolbox.
I think it may be because Crystal Reports is installed and integrated? I don't know. I just can't get it to work.

ReportViewer Controls (Visual Studio), we could get that ReportViewer Controls are included in VS2013, that means we don't need to install that control manually.
To confirm whether this issue is related to your Visual Studio or Crystal Reports, I would recommend you consider testing it with the following ways.
1. Create a simple windows form application, and open a form designer window, and check whether reportviewer is inside the tool box.
If it is available, then we could focus on your project to narrow down this issue.
If it is still missing, we could test it with #2.
2. Uninstall Crystal Reports and disable all add-ins of VS2013, and if possible, you could also uninstall and reinstall VS2013 to make sure the environment is clean enough. Next repeat the steps of #1.
It will be much helpful if you could share the detailed results with us.

I am just starting to implement a new user login authentication process wherein after prompting user for username & password, I hope to authenticate them againts our company Active Directory user data. Since I am just starting, I only have very few things

I confirmed that I have System.DirectoryServices.dll located in
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a\ folder and that I as well as System have read as well as read&execute privileges
not only to all folders in its path but also to the DLL file itself.
I would appreciate any help in trying to resolve this compilation error so that I can proceed with implementing LDAP features for this endeavor.

Receiving error message 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.ServiceModel.Activation, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.'

I started getting this error message for the first time today. When I look in the event log I see it every time anyone tries to sync to a mobile device to the exchange server. I've also had this problem trying to connect using
Outlook. I believe it is an IIS issue but I'm not absolutely sure so I'm posting this in the Exchange forum as well.

I have tried most, if not all, of the different post's suggestions to no avail.
The steps I have taken are as follows...
1. Repaired .Net 4 (Both the client and extended)
2. Uninstalled and reinstalled .Net Framework 4.0.
3. Verified that the dll exists.
4. Checked the applicationHost.config file. It contains the follow statement...

Like I said everything was working yesterday. In fact I didn't hear or see any issue until after 1PM today.

Please confirm whether users can access their mailboxes from Outlook Web Access or not. We can do the following changes to have a try:
1. In IIS > Application Pools, change the .NET Framework Version to v2.0 and restart IIS service.
2. If it doesn’t work, explore the Default Web site.
3. Renamed the web.config file to web.config.old
4. Reset IIS using iisreset command to have a try.

Feasibility to send XML file out based on approved confirmation

We have SRM 5.0 with extended classic scenario. For a service PO, a service entry sheet/confirmation is created in SRM. It has a one-step approval scenario. After approval, we would like to send the service entry sheet back to the external agency through XML in HR-XML format. Any procedure available for this?

I won't be too expecting using Flex. The layout generated need not necessarily be compatible with the SAP ALCD.
Although, it must be possible to generate a pdf dynamically because every element used in the form layout is stored as a xfo-file (e. g. button.xfo) within the installation directories. Have a look! So, you can assemble a form layout based on the xfo-elements completely dynamically.
So, you need an empty layout. You can load the layout by cl_fp_wb_form=>load and form->get_layout( ). Change it, store and generate by function FP_FORM_GENERATE. But it will need some efforts!

Material Ledger - confirmation in different months

Hi Gurus,
I have a problem as follows:
We are using material ledger for actual costing. When we post partial confirmation for a production order in period t, goods receipt and goods issue is posted for period t. However, in some cases, confirmation is posted although one material has not arrived at the factory yet and that material is not assembled on the finished product in period t, but it is assembled in period t+1. In this case, when we close material ledger, we receive an error as "there are nondistributed rows" in transaction CKM3. How can I solve this problem either in logistics side or financial side?

Are you familiar with transaction CKMVFM - Value Flow Monitor? You can analyze Not Distributed differences with this transaction. The price limiter is the key.

Confirmed quantity in sales orders

Hi experts,
This is MTS scenario. When changing delivery date in orders, the confirmed quantity is affected accordingly. Why?
ATP check does not activate in orders. Suppose confirmed quantity in orders should be always equal to order quantity.
ps. The schedule line category just check "req./assembly" under transaction flow in VOV6.

With these two comments, please confirm whether you have selected the box for "Availability" in VOV6 ?? Moreover, this topic is a major area and your issue could be due to so many reasons. Hence, what I would suggest is that you go through this help link and update the forum with further details, in case your issue is not resolved.

Cost Element Error during Activity Confirmation

Hi,
We are using assembly processing to create projects. After project is created, a requirement arises and we manually assign few internal activities in CJ20N. When we do like that, a cost element gets picked automatically in the cost element field of External TAB along with Purchase Org & purchase group though it is an internal activity. This doesnt happen in already created activities during automatic creation.
We don't need the system to bring these values for cost element, purchase org. & group. We are not using this cost element anywhere. In network profile cost element field is blank.
So whenever we confirm the activity it throws an error message. CK197, G/L account for company code / costelement does not exist.
Kindly advice.

This error is due to EHP4 please implement following said notes
1285728, 1277967.
And after that remove the cost element from activities present in external tab which are created before not implementation which are giving error.

Hi,
If a material reports to two higher level assemblies in the BOM would creates two planned orders for it. Each of the orders has a different date?
For example
Z is final assembly
In that Y is one assembly in that says X1material in level 2
And the again same material X1 is reporting to Y in levels 5 so here my question is it would create two planned order with different dates?
And
Is there any report to see confirmed time to say machine time / labor time or shall we go for report.

CS15 can be usefull to check the usage of component in assemblies.
if its used then more then once it can be easily located through this report.
another concern what you expressed is not clear.
But what i understand is same component is used at level 2 and level 4 of a BOM.
assumption from the word levels is , X is used in level 2 its used directly in BOM of Y and Y have some differnt component G which inturn again have X in it .
so at both this levels if the dependent requirement is different, you can get 2 differnet orders use individual /collective indicvator for this material as individual .
If your concern is for BOM position (Item Number) field in BOM then system will create a single plan order even if you set it for individual requirement in material master.here some work around can be possible by maintaining lead time offset IN BOM in item detail screen.
