Confirmed date in sales order influenced by planned order dates

Hi,
My requirement is that the after the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated, the changes in the dates of the planned order, when carried out, shall accordingly influence the confirmed date of the sales order line item when the availability check is carried out in the sales order.
Say, the sales order has confirmed a line item for 25.05.2009. Once the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated and owing to unavailablility of a component, the planned order date (finish date) is manually re-scheduled to say 28.05.2009. My requirement is that the sales order confirmed date shall accordingly be re-scheduled when the availability check is carried out.
Additional Info : Strategy Group - 20,
                       Make-to Order scenario is employed,
                       Standard Item category TAN,
                       Requirement Class - 040.
Is this possible in standard SAP? If not, please suggest any custom developments that may be required. Looking forward for helpful replies.
Do revert back if more info required.
Regards,
Anil Kumar

Hi Anil,
As Suggested in Above reply to your question.
If Materail component was not available and due to that you had to reshedule the planned order date manually, that definately will affect the material availability date, but i think if material availability will be run once again in Sales Order it will determine the new material availability date, and i dont think there is any need to carry out any enhancement.
Guru's Please correct me if I am wrong.

  • APO: RRP3 automate Production order creation from planned order ?

    Hi everyone ,
I have got a business requirement in APO where in Open sale orders uploaded in R/3, needs to be converted to Planned order and subsequently to Production order in APO-PPDS tcode RRP3 at all stages. They want to automate this process rather than doing it
    manually.
Can anyone tell how is this possible . Any BAPI or function module available to do this . Please help.
    Regards,
    Syed

    Hi,
1.You need to run the heuristics Planning of standard lots SAP_PP_002  in /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 by specifying the time profile
and  strategy profile, planning version and propagation range, product and location.
    2. Convert PPDS Planned Orders created to process orders thru /SAPAPO/RRP7 by specifying the product location start date of the order for production order creation.
Out put of step 1- For sales order requirement, PPDS Planned orders gets created.
Out put of step 2- PPDS Planned orders are converted to production orders.

  • Automatic Firmed Planned Order / Mass Change Planned Order

    Hi PP Gurus,
My requirement is I want to make all planned order created from planning run will be automatically firmed. I tried several option :
    1. MRP type : P1, automatic create firmed planned order within planning time fence but for new requirement, planned order will be created after planning time fence date. Example planning time fence date lies on 20/10/2011
    PIR
    09/2011     3 pc
    10/2011     4 pc
end of planning time fence date
    11/2011     5 pc
    run MRP
Planned order firmed for month 9 and 10. for 11 is not firmed. But the problem is if PIR on month 10 is change from 4 to 6. the other 2 planned order will be created at end of planning time fence date.
Is it possible for planned order created at appropriate date as requirement date ???
    2. Mass Change of Planned Order
I browse the help SAP there is function module : MD_SET_ACTION_PLAF for mass changes of planned orders.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/9e/e84226c1c311d3b54a0004ac160649/content.htm
I execute it with SE37 but i don't know what should i do with this function module after the next screen.
In my mind, there will be selection screen for choosing which planned order will be perform firmed action.
Any other idea to solve my requirement is welcome.
    Regards,
    Arman Lie

  • Change firmed planned order to Unfirm Planned order

    Hi ,
if we change firmed planned order to unfirm planned order ,is there any effect on WIP and routing changes?
    please respond with an answer.
    Regards
    Rekha
Edited by: REKHA MAHAJAN on Mar 31, 2008 1:34 PM

    Hi Rekha ,
    planned order Unfirmed -
will allow automatic changes with respect to requirement
    planned order firmed  -
Any manual change in the planned order is called firmed
and will not allow any automatic changes with respect to requirement
Planned order is just the requirement only there will no change in the WIP .
for example : you have some requirement say PIR is 50 on 31st march you perform MRP
by selecting the MRP type so that you will get firmed planned order for 50
on  1st you have another requirement ( PIR )  for 100  and if you perform MRP again system will create another planned order if this is also firmed . you need to convert manually into production order.
once planned order is converted into production order and there is no link with either routing or
workin process with planned order and is meant for only open production orders . You can convert all the planned orders collectively also
    if any doubt come back

    Hi Anil,
    Thank you for quick reply.
COHV Transction is meant for mass execution of transactions for Normal Planned order or Process order. I did not find any option to convert LTP Planned order to Normal Planned order in COHV Transaction.

I don't think we have many BAPI's in the PP module. I guess recording is the option.

  • Define start date in SNP interactive table of planned order

    hi,
does anyone know how to control the start date and the scheduling of planned order created in the SNP interactive table?

    Hi Arieh,
For SNP Pl.Order the standard SAP APO behavior is to control the availability date (End date).
To control Start date you have to convert SNP Pl.Order in PP/DS Pl.Order. Then in the PPT1, production periodic view you can change by start date if you change the strategy to Forwards.

  • Left over of Sales Order creates new planned order of whole batch

    Hi Gurus,
We are using planning without Assembly strategy (52) and Sales order is created in our sales plant and Purchase order from sales plant creates STO on manufacturing plant which than produces material using process order.
Now sales order says 5000 EA but actual production is if 4985 EA in Manufacturing plant which is transported into Sales plant and sales plant receives 4985 EA which keeps sales order of 5EA in the system
When MRP runs overnight creates planned order for left over quantity and it is of whole batch 5000 EA. This confuse our planner.
Can anyone provide me the solution please?
    Regards,
    SAPPPPI

    Hi,
For strategy 52 FX never works so we have lot sixe "EX".
We have set up tolerance limit of +/- 10% but when less quantity is received (4985 instead of 5000)  from manufacturing plant system thinks there is an open sales sales order of 15 and creates a new planed order.
If we have materials 4980 in stock and we create  a sales order for 5000, tolerance will be considered for this and there won't be any open sales order but in our case Sales order allows us to procure and when GR quantity is less than sales order it is treated as left over and create planned order.
Please help me by replying if any one knows.
    Regards
    SAPPPPI

  • Determination of Production Order Type when Planned Order is Converted

    Hi SAP Expert,
Is there anyway to determine the Production Order type by Sales Order type when the planned order from APO is converted? Currently, all the planned orders converted from APO will be a Normal Production Order.
    The requirement as example below:
    >> If Sales Order Type = Normal Sales Order, then the converted Production Order type = Normal Production Order
    >> If Sales Order Type = Replacement Sales Order, then the converted Production Order type = Rework Production Order
    Thanks.

    Hi Pascal,
Our requirement is exactly same as yours. Can you please elaborate more on ZXCOXU13? I can see the function module suggested by Santosh in the SAP Note but I couldn't find any details regarding ZXCOXU13.

  • Transfer LTP planned orders to Operational planned orders

    Hi
Can anyone suggest how to transfer planned orders generated from LTP(Long Term Plan) to Operational Plan?
    Regards
    Pradipta Sahoo

    Dear Sahoo,
You can transfer the simulative planned orders to operative planning using T Code MD43.
    Check this,
Copying the Long-Term Planning Results to Operative Planning
    Use
Once you have optimized the results of long-term planning, you can copy them to operative planning.
It is not only possible to copy the demand program to operative planning, you can also copy the planned orders firmed in long-term planning per material using the MRP transaction Interactive single-item planning.
When copying the results to operative planning, you can set the system to create purchase requisitions and delivery schedules instead of planned orders for materials procured externally.
    Prerequisites
You must firm the simulative planned orders you want to copy to operative planning. You can firm planned orders by:
    Making manual changes
    Using the planning time fence
    Setting a manual firming date
If, when copying the data to operative planning, you want the system to create purchase requisitions or delivery schedules for materials procured externally instead of planned orders, enter the appropriate indicators in the Create pur. req. and Schedule lines on the initial screen of single-item, interactive planning (in MRP).
When copying the results to operative planning, the system does not carry out any source determination. If you want the system to create delivery schedules and purchase requisitions to which a vendor has already been assigned, you must maintain the necessary master data in the Purchasing menu before carrying out the planning run in long-term planning.

  • Production Order created from Planned order  qty should not be changed

    Dear PP Gurus,
IKindly give your valuable inputs on the below mentioned subject.
From MD04  planned order is converted to production order user should not be able to reduce the requirement quantity below Production Order quantity.
    Thanks & regards,
    Shanmugam Balamurugan

    Hi,
This is common problem. to control this you need to develop an user exit . This exit will check the fixed lot size in material master and will compare with the quantity of production order. The exit will get fired at the time of order saving.
If any miss-match happens system will give an error message

    Hi Prasobh ,
I  am happy to see you again in SDN forum after long ,
Yes you are correct the requirements are not convertible on receiving STO in Planning Plant only it will consume PIR
and I am using Strategy group 52 with  requirement type is VSE.
In this how can I test for a complete production cycle I am unable to convert planned order manually in to Production Order.
to complete testing . Why system showing PIR order type VP instaed of LA order type. Marks will be awarded further more for

  • Confirmed quantity during sales order migration

Do any of you experts see any issue with the following approach to set the schedule line confirmed quantity?
We need to migrate open order from Legacy to SAP system. While migrating we need to keep the schedule lines (dates and confirmed quantities) to be same as that in legacy (Note that legacy has exactly one schedule line per order).
For Migration we are using the program RVINVB10.
On order to bring in the confirmed quantity we plan to apply the following logic
    1. Add following logic to user exit - MOVE_FIELDS_TO_VBEP (in MV45AFZZ)
If the order is a migrated order then
check if VBAP-POSEX <> ''    (This an unused field so we will use this to pass the confirmed quantity)
          then VBEP-BMENG = VBAP-POSEX
VBAP-POSEX = VBAP-MTVFP (Save Valye of Checking Group)
VBAP-MTVFP = ''.        (clear the checking group to override the ATP check)
    2. The following logic is added in User Exit SAVE_DOC_PREPARE (in MV45AFZZ)
If the order is migrated order then restore the value in VBAP-MTVFP from VBAP-POSEX and clear VBAP-POSEX.
This way we are able to get the confirmed quantity in schedule lines.
    Any suggestions welcome,
    Regards,

Here is an alternative functional approach
Depending on what is being used by your ATP config to determine supply you can create following pseudo supplies only for Sales order migration purpose
    Planned orders
    Purchase requisations
    reservations
you can load any max quantity such as 9999999 at an earliest Material availability date (MAD) determined from sales orders for Material Plant combination.
This will help ATP to confirm the same CDD if you pass CDD as required delivery date (assumption it uses backward scheduling)
Assumption: you are moving only completely open sales order & itu2019s not delinquent (CDD in past, schedule lines not confirmed completely)
You have to remove this pseudo supply after sales order migration is complete.
