Confirmed quantity or reservation - What is correct concept

Dear Gurus,
I am facing the trouble between the concepts of confirmed quantity and reservation quantity. As I know material's quantities in SO will be confirmed after run ATP and TOR if stock quantity is enough, and see in  stock requirement list this quantity is in confirmed. But I am not sure that confirmed quantity is different with reservation quantity for SO or not. If not how can I reserve this quantity for SO not by MB1C. I afraid that, other staff will create SO and delivery it before my SO can be delivered. Please explain for me in this case.
Thank for your support!

Hi,
Let us take the scenario like:
Total Unrestricted stock as on 08.11.11 = 100 pcs
Sales Order number 6000001 QTY 10pcs with confirmed schedule line for delivery on 08.11.11
When next sale order is being created, you can see the ATP qty as 90 only and not as 100. So if the sale order qty is 100 pcs,
then system confirms only 90 pcs.
Hence,
If availability check is customized properly, then, the issue of SAP confirming schedule line without stock does not arise.
Your fear that other staff creating a SO and delivering before your SO also does not arise. You can check the u201CATP quantity fieldu201D in the Sales tab of the overview screen for each item.
Reservations will not show in MMBE.
Please check and confirm
Hope this helps.

Sharan

  • Is there a BAdI to correctly calculate Confirmed Quantity in TLB Shipment?

    Hi,
We added a new TLB parameter on top of currently existing weight, volume and floorpsots. Now, everything is working fine with the new parameter except for the "Confirmed Quantity (Dest.Loc.)" in the TLB shipment is not showing the total for all the relevant shipment items. The total is actually reflecting the "Confirmed Quantity (Dest.Loc.)" of the first line item in the order.
Is there a BAdI to correctly calculate the Confirmed Quantity in the shipment level?
I would really appreciate any help on this. Thank you in advance.
    Arnel

    Hi Arnel,
Please check the below BADis whether suits your requirements which are TLB based
    /SCA/TLB_EXT     Transport Load Builder Extension
    /SCA/TLB_PRFL_EXT     TLB Profile Extension
/SAPAPO/SDP_TLBORDER     Manipulation of Deployment Orders Before TLB

  • Confirmed quantity during sales order migration

Do any of you experts see any issue with the following approach to set the schedule line confirmed quantity?
We need to migrate open order from Legacy to SAP system. While migrating we need to keep the schedule lines (dates and confirmed quantities) to be same as that in legacy (Note that legacy has exactly one schedule line per order).
For Migration we are using the program RVINVB10.
On order to bring in the confirmed quantity we plan to apply the following logic
    1. Add following logic to user exit - MOVE_FIELDS_TO_VBEP (in MV45AFZZ)
If the order is a migrated order then
check if VBAP-POSEX <> ''    (This an unused field so we will use this to pass the confirmed quantity)
          then VBEP-BMENG = VBAP-POSEX
VBAP-POSEX = VBAP-MTVFP (Save Valye of Checking Group)
VBAP-MTVFP = ''.        (clear the checking group to override the ATP check)
    2. The following logic is added in User Exit SAVE_DOC_PREPARE (in MV45AFZZ)
If the order is migrated order then restore the value in VBAP-MTVFP from VBAP-POSEX and clear VBAP-POSEX.
This way we are able to get the confirmed quantity in schedule lines.
    Any suggestions welcome,
    Regards,

Here is an alternative functional approach
Depending on what is being used by your ATP config to determine supply you can create following pseudo supplies only for Sales order migration purpose
    Planned orders
    Purchase requisations
    reservations
you can load any max quantity such as 9999999 at an earliest Material availability date (MAD) determined from sales orders for Material Plant combination.
This will help ATP to confirm the same CDD if you pass CDD as required delivery date (assumption it uses backward scheduling)
Assumption: you are moving only completely open sales order & itu2019s not delinquent (CDD in past, schedule lines not confirmed completely)
You have to remove this pseudo supply after sales order migration is complete.

  • Error in confirmed quantity while creating sales order

    Hi,
When I am creating sales order, I am getting  confirmed quantity as 0. I have checked the following items,
    1. Partial Delivery is permitted for the customer
    2. Stock Ava liability is 1,100
    3. Confirmed Issue I am getting 1,100
Please solve my problem why i am getting confirmed quantity as 0 and were i have to check for error
    Please help me
    regards,
    PR Bhaskar Rao

Check what is there in the availability Check. Try to see the scope of check in the Scheduline tab of the sales order item. Also, check the date for which the item has been confirmed. You can also check what is the Requirement type that has come up.
You can also check in MMBE (for the plant, material and storage loc combination) if the quantity available is reserved for some other sales order and at the same time in the availability check you have made it to consider the reserved quantity..
All these will help you analyse why you are getting the confirmed quantity as 0.
    Hope this helps...

  • Confirmed quantity becomes zero in process order

What scenario did the confirmed quantity becomes 0 (zero) even though it has value upon the creation of the process order.
You can see the confirmed quantity on the material list of the process order. The RESB table for the component becomes zero. But how it was become zero was the very big question.
    Thanks

please run CORT, put your oder number and have a look WHO and WHEN confirmed zero
also rum MB23 for your reservation, goto header and get the details

  • Unable to confirm quantity

    Hi ALL,
I Have a sales order for 100 line items, and have stock also against same order ( it is MTO),but in the sales order --schedule lines confirmed quantity is showing as zero.
I carry out Re ATP check also, at this time confirmed quantity is showing as 100.but after saving the order confirmed quantity was showing zero again

    Hi,
Please check few action as below :
    In MM/PP
-Check is this sales order stock is tie with same sales order number or is being reserved against something else ?
-Check in t.code MD04 whether that stock is allocated to any other delivery or not.
-Check in MMBE for respective storage bin and have enough stock is there.
    - Checkif the order is blocked for credit, you will not see this in the delivery block. look at the status tab of the order header and see if this is blocked. or, you can use VKM1 to check if the order is blocked.
    In SD
    - Check the  product allocation is active in your system (QAS). Based on my understanding  if there are stocks in hand , but due to some of  the allocated quantity to your sold-to's order is limited or non-existing , you cannot confirm sales order.
If this is the scenario you have several options:
    1. increase the sold-to's allocated quantity, if the previous allocation has already been reached
    2. if sold-to's allocation has still not been reached, and stocks have already been allocated to other sold-tos, increase overall stock availability (but this is easier said than done)
    3. deactivate product allocation, re-run availability check (or re-enter items in order) to confirm quantities
    General.
Also please check the system is there any user exist if yes you need to know what's the logic behind.
    Thank you.

  • How to Restrict Confirmed Quantity in Sales Order (Based on Batch Expiry)

    Dear SD Experts,
Currently our sales order confirms any amount of quantity if stock is available. And only during delivery it checks for the expiration of the batch and reduces the delivery quantity to batches available in stock within expiry.
But since we are doing a bulk creation of deliveries at the end of the day, the check for expired batches is happening too late and no visibility for the data entry operators of stock that cannot be delivered during creation of the sales orders.
So I am looking for solution to restrict the confirmed quantity in sales order to actually confirm only stock what can be delivered. i.e. based on expiry of the batch.
    Thanks!

    hi
in Logistic general - batch mangement - batch determination allocation and check activation - maintain allocate SD search Procedure/ activate check
check this for your sales area and sales document type and then in the search procedure maitain the strategy to check the Expiration date.

  • Material Confirmed quantity and Open quantity

    Hi All,
I am working on a report where the user wants the material confirmed quantity and open quantity at the batch level. I know for open quantity VBBE-OMENG can work. Just need confirmation that this is the correct field. However for confirmed quantity I am not able to narrow it down to one field. I have the following fields as possibilities but not sure which is the right one.
    1) VBBE-VMENG
    2) VBEP-BMENG (This is the at the sales order level though. We need it at the batch level)
Can you please let me know if i have the right approach here? The report has Material, plant, sloc and batch along with a bunch of other fields.
    Regards.
    Sid

    Hello,
you should extract the quantities from all the deliveries selected for material and batch, and selecting only open deliveries.
    Use a selection like this:
        SELECT lips~MATNR lips~WERKS
               lips~CHARG lips~LFIMG
          INTO TABLE lt_lips
          from lips as lips
          INNER JOIN vbup as vbup
            on lips~VBELN = vbup~VBELN AND
               lips~POSNR = vbup~POSNR
         WHERE lips~MATNR = p_matnr
           AND lips~WERKS = P_WERKS
           AND lips~CHARG = P_CHARG
           AND ( vbup~WBSTA eq 'A' or
                 vbup~WBSTA eq 'B' ).

  • Cancel Confirmed Quantity in Sales Order Item (VA02)

    Dear All,
I am having the following scenario :
Customer have created a Sales Order, item 10, schedule line 1 with quantity 120.  The delivery date is 2011.12.22.
They have confirmed the quantity using the "Check Item Availability" function.
They have then changed the delivery date from 2011.12.22 to 2011.12.23.  The problem arises that in the "Availability Overview", the system still show the confirmed quantity is on 2011.12.22.  It doesn't release the confirmed quantity after we have changed the delivery date.  And what is worst is the system is prompting me that no stock is available on 2011.12.23.
Does anybody knows how to release the confirmed quantity in the schedule line.  I have tried in VA02 by modifying the schedule line details.....  but does not work..
    Thanks.

    Hello,
One easiest way is to reject the line item and add a new line, make the delivery date as 23rd. Once you reject the line item the confirmed schedule line get reversed.
You can try with CO09 also.

  • Confirmed Quantity for Item in sales order

    Dear All,
In one sales order there is confirmation block (this is through the delivery block in the sales order header level).
The sales order contains BOM (header and it's sub items) and some standard items also two third party items.
When the sales order is saved there are no confirmed  quantity for any of the item except the BOM header.
May I know what could be the reason to have this BOM header confirmed quantity..???  this is leading to a problem in the data from sales order.
Is there any customizing related to this item (item category or schedule line category) to look out for..??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vishi...

    hello, friend.
your issue is quite broad.  outcome depends on -
    1.  configuration of delivery block (which, in your case, we can assume to include confirmation block)
    2.  selection of availability check and MRP type in material master
    3.  schedule line category and schedule line determination
now in standard, if the order line item category is TAN, and MRP type is PD and availability check is PD... the system might temporarily confirm the item even when putting a delivery block at header level, but the system  should delete confirmed quantities when you save the order.  you can check the confirmed quantities when you open the sales order in change mode... the confirmation should be zero.
however, in third party items (item category TAS), these items are normally confirmed even in change mode.  this may hold true if either MRP = none (e.g. ND) and/or if availability check is KP (no check).
nevertheless, regardless of confirmation quantity, the system should not allow creating of delivery while delivery block is in place.
please try these scenarios and post your feedback.
    regards.

  • Confirmed quantity in the sales order coming as 3.5 ea

    Hi Gurus
The confirmed quantity in the sales order coming as 3.5 ea where the order quantity was 10ea.I checked CUIN for EA the decimal places is given as 0 which is very much correct moreover I checked the material master in additional data I have not find anything abnormal. The order was created by a batch job. Please help.

    Hai,
The system has concluded that 3.5 EA for the confirmed quantity means the remaining part of the stock are already allocated to some other sales orders.Out of 10 EA only 3.5 EA are  in the stock.
You can view through the MD04 and then enter the plant ,material and then check the quantity that are allocated to the various orders.
    Please revert for any.

  • Confirmed quantity in sales orders

    Hi experts,
This is MTS scenario. When changing delivery date in orders, the confirmed quantity is affected accordingly. Why?
ATP check does not activate in orders. Suppose confirmed quantity in orders should be always equal to order quantity.
ps. The schedule line category just check "req./assembly" under transaction flow in VOV6.

When changing delivery date in orders, the confirmed
         quantity is affected accordingly.
The schedule line category just check "req./assembly"
With these two comments, please confirm whether you have selected the box for "Availability" in VOV6 ??   Moreover, this topic is a major area and your issue could be due to so many reasons.  Hence, what I would suggest is that you go through this help link and update the forum with further details, in case your issue is not resolved.

  • User Exit for credit management  at confirmed quantity in sales order

    Dear All ,
kinldy tell how to define a user exit and where i can write for credit check to be done to the confirmed quantity in the sales order .
Also pls tell me that how to define the user exit and attach to customer reserve field in the customising for automatic credit control .
    regards
    Baranidharan Ramar

    Hi
The following is the information from the sap documentation...you can also refer from IMG - SD - System modification - userexit - userexit for credit check
    Credit Check
If you want to carry out your own individual credit checks, that differ from those in the standard system, you must define them in the following user exits:
    LVKMPTZZ
    LVKMPFZ1: USER_CREDIT_CHECK1
    LVKMPFZ2: USER_CREDIT_CHECK2
    LVKMPFZ3: USER_CREDIT_CHECK3
    User exit for availability check
User exit USEREXIT_AVAIL_CHECK_CREDIT exists in Include MV45AFZF.
This user exit allows you to determine whether the system should or should not carry out an availability check after a blocked document has been released or after a new credit check.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Confirmed quantity in sales order and credit check

Due to the fact that we are using automatic credit check , for the sales orders that are not blocked due to credit control the confirmed quantity is made to 0 until some person responsible unblocks the sales order.
My issue is how to prevent the confirmed quantity from becaming 0 even if credit block exists

    Dear Friend
If the automatic credit management is active the confirmed quantities of sales order becomes 0 because in t code OVB8 the requirement no used will be 101 and system routine will be 1 that is system reservation
Here you need to change the 101 to something else or you have to write a new routine thro ABAPer so that even if the document goes for credit block the confirmed quantities doesnot change or become 0
I dont have the practical experience of changing this to something else and having worked on that
    But you may try that
The area to explore or get your requirement is this only
