Conflict Between Bluetooth Mouse and WIFI?

I Bought the new MBPR X72 and a Iogitech Bluetooth Mouse. When i download something by Wifi,My mouse can't work well.I search the answer on Google, some people said that there is a conflict between Bluetooth mouse and Wifi.Because they are both use the 2.4G HZ.So anyone can help me ??

If you are on your home network, you could set the router and MBPr to use only the 5 GHz band if you are using the n-protocol WiFi.  That would mean logging intothe router and changing band usage settings.  The MBPr would follow what it sees as the wireless signal.

  • Brand new IMac 27 bluetooth mouse and keyboard not connecting for eight minutes after start up.

I have a new imac 27 that has worked flawlessly for three weeks.
All of a sudden, when starting up the mac boots fine but the bluetooth mouse and keyboard are non responsive. This state is maintained for between 7 and 8 minutes then both mouse and keyboard start working and continue doing so for the rest of the day....until the next restart and the whole saga repeats itself.
Both sets of batteries are fully charged.
I have scoured different sites and tried any suggestion that made any sense, to no avail. All I am able to do at the moment is to do the time, wait the 7 to 8 mins. and then all's good.
My first Mac and this is very annoying especially as Apple must be aware of this issue but no solution is forthcoming!
    Any suggestions/workarounds would be great.
    Thanks

if you are using rechargeable batteries sometimes they don't stay charged for as long as they should try using alkalaine batteries and see if the issue still persists.
also try doing an SMC reset, the following article tells how to do this:

  • Bluetooth mouse and keyboard do not work

I purchased an iMac G5 about 6 months ago. I got it with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I have had trouble with it from day 1. Apple had me replace the logic unit, and it worked for a couple of weeks. Then as soon as the 90-day warranty for complimentary service ran out, it began working sporadically. Now it doesn't work at all. It says I don't have a bluetooth module installed or attached to my computer (which is what it said before the logic unit was replaced. The computer works fine with a USB mouse and keyboard. Had I known bluetooth was so tempermental and difficult, I sure wouldn't have got it with my computer.
Unless there is a smart person out there who knows what is going on, I guess I need to buy a new USB keyboard and mouse. Anybody interested in buying a bluetooth keyboard and mouse cheap?

    Russell,
The warranty period on your mac is 1 year. The complimentry phone service period is 90 days unless you have a hardware problem. I'd say you likely have a hardware problem and will not be charged for the phone call.
    I'd suggest 2 things:
    1. Sign up for Applecare as has been recommended countless times.
    2. Make the call to tech support and see what they say about your problem.
    Good Luck,
    John

  • How can i troubleshoot a "software conflict between a device and something in my original user account"

    hi
my canon video camera (HV20) wasnt being recognised by iMovie (error message...in system report was "Unable to list FireWire devices".)
in researching a solution i came across some firewire advice in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1151#trouble which suggests there may be a "software conflict between the device and something in your original user account."
i changed to another account on my iMac and my camera connected immediately.
is anybody able to explain how i go about fixing this "software conflict".
    many thanks

With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail > Mailboxes > Outbox.mbox.
The Outbox.mbox represents "Out" in the mailboxes drawer and is shared by all accounts.
Delete the Outbox.mbox and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and a new Outbox.mbox will be created automatically by Mail within the Mailboxes folder and this should resolve the problem.

  • Mouse cursor is stuck top left corner of screen.  It will not move.  Tried both my Bluetooth mouse, and a USB mouse. Not moving but will click

Tried un pairing the Bluetooth mouse and reconnecting it.  No change.  Tried both those resets people suggested to others in the forums, that didn't help either.  Borrowed my friends USB mouse for his Mac, the same thing.  Cursor will not move, but the click works.(this is what is happening for both)
If you are kind enough to offer help, please be aware of the following: this is my first Mac.  I really know nothing about them.

Yes, once when I first noticed it, and each time I tried both the pram reset, and when I did the other reset (holding down p&r and the other two buttons before the grey screen, and waited for it to reboot from there).  Can't remember what that reset was called

  • Version conflicts between host labview and RT engine

there is problem that i cannt switch target to feild point. It said that "version conflicts between host labview and RT engine" . But my labview is version 7.0 and the real time module is version 7.0 too. Anyone can give me hand? Thanks

Depending on your version of MAX, you should be able to change the version on the FP (in remote systems). If you can't do it in 3.0, try upgrading to 3.1 (you will have to search for it on the site). If that doesn't work, you can try resetting to factory default and then see if you can do this.
Another tip, which for some reason seems to help, is updating the OS\Run-Time Engine when windows is in safe mode.
Try these and see if they help.
BTW, as a tip for next time, you're more likely to get a good answer for something like this if you post in the FieldPoint board.

    Hi  ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. It is a great site for information and questions. I have looked into your issue about your  HP ENVY 15-j101ex Notebook and issues with the  Wireless drivers. Here is a link to your driver page.  Here is a link for troubleshooting the Wireless connection. I would use the section on The Windows 8 Network and Internet Troubleshooter. Here is a link that will show you how to connect a Bluetooth device to your Notebook.  Hope this helps you connect. Thanks.

  • Problems with a bluetooth mouse and others operating systems

Hello, I have an error related to bluetooth devices.
I have on my Mac mini apart from Mountain Lion, a Linux distribution.
Steps to follow to find the error:
    1. - Connect a bluetooth mouse to Mountain Lion and set it up.
    2. - Reset the mini, start with Linux and also configure the mouse.
Now the mouse works fine on Mountain Lion and Linux.
Start again with Mountain Lion, you will see that the mouse does not work, but the system has added and configured.
That mistake I've seen for the first time in Snow Leopard, Lion has continued and now with Mountain Lion.
The only way to fix it is to connect a USB mouse, remove the Bluetooth mouse and add it again.
The configuration fails again when using the mouse in Linux.
Tested on another Mac (Mac-Pro) with the same result.
(I tested it with a Dell BT Travel Mouse and a Magic Mouse)
    Regards

    First, excuse my poor english
It's not offend, but I understand that at the time that Linux is off, and OSX is on, is OSX which is not able to work with the mouse.
I do not know what is the reason for which the operating system is not able to operate the mouse, even if it is paired and authorized.
The system also says that the mouse is working properly, when it is obvious that it is not.
Moreover, the Bluetooth preference pane is completely slowed and functioning incorrectly.
And finally, to comment that the mouse works properly on Linux after having done in OSX ..., which shows that the problem is OSX.
If I open this post is for someone to try and investigate.
Would be nice if Apple released a patch as it is clear that something is not working well in OSX.
What I did not expect was to listen that having a Linux through the middle, there is no problem.
    regards

  • Windows 8.1 and Apple Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard connection

I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8.0 Home and as a result I'm experiencing the following problems:
Apple Bluetooth Mouse - randomly dis/connects or freezes where I cannot move the mouse or it's very jerky or very slow.
Apple Bluetooth Keyboard - the keys will stick or freeze causing the redundent key presses (eg. yyyyyyyyeeeeeee).
I've done the following to fix the problem with no success:
    Reinstall Boot Camp 5.0.5033 drivers
Reinstalled Bluetooth drivers from Boot Camp 5.0.533 individually
Unistalled both devices on OS X and reinstall them only on Windows 8.1
Reinstalling both on OS X and reinstalling them on Windows 8.1
Uninstalling all the drivers from the Device Manager and reinstalling them
One thing I have noticed is that under Devices and Printers I have two new devices (HID-compliant mouse and HID Keyboard Device) that were not there under Windows 8.0 in addition to my bluetooth devices.  I have tried removing the new devices but they keep reinstalling themselves.
I have USB mouse that's connected and I've been able to use that without problems so I think there's a problem with the Apple driver or the Windows 8.1 bluetooth drivers.
    Has anyone fixed this?
    Thanks!

Just to point out the "Bluetooth Collaboration" setting I've found this:
Bluetooth Collaboration enables general purpose input/output transmit suppression protocol between the IEEE 802.11 media access control (MAC) and an external Bluetooth chip to minimize transmit interference. Bluetooth Collaboration is enabled by default.
And it is not enabled by default on some devices like on mine!

  • Is there a major resource (memory) conflict between AdBlock addon and Peerblock?

Sorry this is so long. I just downloaded FF 3.6.3 for Windows last night and added the NoScripts and Adblock addons while concurrently running Peerblock. Within a few minutes my entire system went haywire, more precisely a complete system failure. I/O, CMOS, IDEport2, ACPI, everything went haywire. The mouse and the cursor became unusable, it was as though someone was mashing on buttons or clicking repeatedly. When I tried to open FF again it literally opened more than a hundred terminals. Right click completely failed because it immediately closed. I couldn't use any programs or type anything anywhere on my system. This behavior persisted even when I booted into BackTrack 4 and even under BIOS. The entire system literally became unusable. Then I wasn't able to even make it past the splash screen in most instances. During boot this was accompanied by constant beeps. I was able to gather some information, but not much before the complete insanity. I did see in FF something about a corrupted module. Peerblock also generated an error report indicating I/O errors but because of the nature of this problem I wasn't able to really view or record either one. There were tons of ACPI and other errors in EventViewer under Windows while all this was occurring. More errors than I had ever seen before. Finally my system wouldn't even boot unless I left it alone for some time. I also noticed excessive heat. Finally Windows prompted me, after removing and reseating the RAM, to the repair console. It found zero errors, absolutely nothing, generating 0x0 errors for everything. but did indicate that it located the root source of the problem. When it started up both FF and Peerblock had been removed. Everything else was fine. I'm using the system now without a single problem. I've been using Peerblock for more than six mos. without any issues. FF runs beautifully under BackTrack 4. It appears to me this was a memory conflict of some nature that corrupted the CMOS or some other memory modules, but I'm not that savvy. I would like to continue using both these programs with Windows but if it's not possible; it's not possible. I'm not crazy and won't be installing and using both these programs together again. This was the most serious problem I've ever encountered, worse than any virus. Also, let me assure you this was not a virus. Since I've gotten back on my system I've run three different AV engines. I am willing to try FF, with AdBlock of course, again and update how it goes. I may even try the alpha5. I know your busy, but please help if you can. Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated. I will continue to support the Mozilla community regardless of this issue.
    -Regards
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== As soon as I used FF for windows.

I have a new computer and have had problems with just about everything there is to have problems with. I chose FireFox over IE because I just plain like it better. I am at a loss as to what to do with the Error Console. It is full of errors, and I am afraid to use my computer because it may crash. I had to remove my MicroTrend Security System because of all the problems with downloads. I really have never seen any such disgusting things before from a computer. Perhaps I downloaded too many addons. But isn't that what they are for? If not, why not make a simple product with no add-ons that will work efficiently. I know I would buy one. This is a beautiful computer with a huge screen that can also be a TV, but what is the use if the Browsers are all fighting with one another and cannot get along. Worse than our World. Lets get all get along and try to get what everyone would like. We are not all NERDS, although I wish I were right at this moment. I wish some wonderful nerd would email me and take over my computer and take out what I don't need and add in what I do. There is a terrific idea for some brilliant NERD.
I am desperate here in New York State, USA and need help NOW.
Thanks to all. I hope Firefox will send us out a Great Big Power Patch to fix all the ills of 3.6.3. I thought this might be the one. It surely sounded great. Thanks, Elizabeth

  • Wireless (Bluetooth) mouse and keyboard oddities

I'm having some issues with the bluetooth peripherals on my new Mac Pro. I thought some here might be able to tell me if this is "normal" behavior in any way, or if something is defective...
First of all I'm using the Wireless Mighty Mouse that came with the Mac Pro, and an older Apple bluetooth keyboard that came with my G5 PowerMac. (This is one of the clear-with-white-keys keyboards so ubiquitous for many years.)
Both the mouse and the keyboard are taking quite a long time to be recognized by the machine upon start up. The mouse takes perhaps an extra 10 seconds; the keyboard more like 30-60 seconds. On my G5 PowerMac both the mouse and the keyboard would be coupled by the time the operating system was finished booting up, so this seems odd to me.
If you're using bluetooth input devices on your machine, are you seeing similar behavior?
Secondly, the Wireless Mighty Mouse is regularly recognizing right-clicks (assigned to "Secondary Button") as left-clicks (Primary Button). Perhaps 15%-20% of all right clicks are registering as left-clicks. It seems like they mis-register in clumps of 2 or 3 in a row. It happens often enough that it essentially makes the right "button" useless, since you are constantly accidentally left-clicking on things that you had no intention of clicking on.
Right now I have hooked up my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 (via a USB port) and am having no such problems with it so far as I can tell, so it doesn't seem to be a general operating system error, but either something with the bluetooth communication, or something wrong with my Mighty Mouse itself.
    Any ideas?

You have to lift your finger from the left side before clicking the right side of the Mighty Mouse.

  • Conflict between iTunes Match and Windows 8.1

I have been running iTunes on my fully updated Windows 8.1 PC for some time, without any particular issues. A few days ago, I activated iTunes match. It worked just fine, in the perspective of my iPhone and iPad. However, my PC stopped being responsive: Long time-outs on just about anything, and dialog windows refusing to appear (one of them being the McAfee console ....). A virus search using Microsoft's emergency services showed nothing.
The moment I de-activated iTunes match, everyhing reverted to normal.
My conclusion is, there is a major conflict between whatever the iTunes match service does, and the Windows 8.1 operating system.
Any idea what this is all about, and if there is anything I can do about it (except avoiding using the match functionality)?
I have the latest update of iTunes for PC.

    Hi lars1950,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're seeing issues with Windows responding slowly since enabling iTunes Match. The article below may resolve the issue for you, it describes possible conflicts with Layered Service Providers and how to prevent them.
