2) Open the regular web browser or access Nokia Store App and download the Opera Mini Client.
3) Enter http://download.browser.ovi.com on the address bar and enter.

  • Conflicting app, nokia asha 210

i am using nokia asha 210 and after i upgrade the mail app, the phone is showing "conflicting application" every time i switched on my phone and every time i tried to open other application such as whatsapp (which is the only one working after the upgrade). plus, all other apps such as youtube, the inbuilt nokia browser, and the "mail" itself is not opening, and also other downloaded apps like uc browser etc. therefore i tried updating the device by going to the settings and after i downloaded all the software, it says it requires 5 mb to install the software but even after i delete everything what i can from my phone, there still isn't enough space left to install the software. and in the following link http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Asha-and-other-Nokia-Series-30/Conflicting-apps-nokia-browser-nokia-... this guy is suggesting to 1) Remove the existing Nokia Xpress Browser installation. 2) Open the regular web browser or access Nokia Store App and download the Opera Mini Client. 3) Enter http://download.browser.ovi.com on the address bar and enter. but we don't have the option to delete the inbuilt softwares, do we? give me an idea how to do if thats possible. but now i need help on how to stop encountering this conflicting app and what can i do to open other applications.

Conflicting applications normally indicates a corrupted the file system, especially if more than one app is affected. Because the Nokia Series 40 internal reset/restore feature is not able to re-build its file system: Did you consider to go for the Software Recovery Tool via a Windows computer already?

Not from within the phone, only via MobiMB. Anyway, that step is wrong. The suggestion is to replace/overwrite the existing Nokia Xpress installation via the manual download. That suggestion was originally made here …

the key should be able to change from facebook to one of the other apps, how does this happen?
Some firmware variants (determined by the Nokia Product Code) allow this, for example my one: Nokia 210 » Menu » Settings » My shortcuts » Internet key » Internet or Off.
Doesn't have internet key option.  Choices are Left selection key, Right selection key, Navigation key, Home screen key.

    Hi sexlezinto,
Is it the preinstalled application that you are trying to access? Or did you download it from the Nokia Store? If this is from the Nokia Store, have you tried to uninstall and reinstall it back on the phone?

  • Background XMPP chat on Nokia Asha 210?

    Hi guys,
Do you know if there is any Jabber/XMPP chat application for Asha 210 which can work in background mode?
All the apps that I have tried simply have no ability to go into the background mode. If the 'cancel call' button is pressed, Nokia suggests to close the chat application and obvisously my Jabber account goes offline.
    I have tried these apps:
Talkonaut (has a background option in the menu, but it does not work)
    Bombus
    Jimm Jabber
    Mova Messenger

    Hello,
I'd like to add a bit on this message, because it is indeed possible to access the http://download.browser.ovi.com address from within nokia chat the next way (just it  was not very clear from the post for me what needs to be done):
    - start Nokia Chat (Messaging->More->Chat) and sign in with your chat account (Create chat account if neccessary)
    - start a new conversation with anyone (a non-existing address will do as well)
    - enter the download address  (http://download.browser.ovi.com) to the message area and send the message.
    - the message will appear with the download address shown as a link. Select the download address in the message. The phone starts the browser and redirects to the download page.
    - download and install the browser. Hopefully this fixes the conflicting applications problem for you.

  • Asha 210 and Nokia Suite??

    Hello,
I am trying to sync my new asha 210 with Nokia Suite but it tells me its not supported. As that phone is quite new, how is it possible it is not supported?
I want to import all my messages and contacts from my old nokia 2710, but I can't. Should this be a joke?
I was always a big Nokia fan, but this is just a huge disappointment at the moment. If I can't get this running, my asha will be going back, quite useless without sync options...........
    Thanks for any help anyway

Use the phone switch option found
    in settings- sync and backup.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to save photos from Facebook on Nokia Asha 210...

    Hi,
Anyone know how to save photos from Facebook or from Facebook messenger on the Asha 210? Can't seem to find a way to save photos people post or send me to my phone.
    Thanks

hi mate if there are no options within the Facebook app, the only other thing you can try is visiting the mobile version of the Facebook website thru the phone browser itself, and seeing if there is a save picture option in there..
