Conflicting Operating systems - How to Uninstall

I am having major problems. Here's my question:
Currently when I go to STARTUP DISK, I have the following choices:
Mac 10.4.3 on Mac HD (my boot drive)
Mac 10.2.5 on Mac HD1
Mac 10.3.9 on Mac HD2
Mac 9.2.2 on Mac HD2
Mac 9.2.2 on Mac HD
I would like to just use 10.4.3. How do I unistall the other operating systems? To complicate matters even more, I have Final Cut Pro 4 and I want to put this on its own boot drive. Do I have to partition one of my hard drives? Can't I use the FCP program to boot my system from? I think I have many cconflicts which is why my system is sluggish. Also, what if I just wanted to re-intsall 10.2 and start over? Goven that FCP 4 uses QT 6.4 or later, I don't think I can do that. Correct? I have many more questions but will start here. Thanks a lot.

You partition it. I have mine partitioned so that I can run various OSs, similar to your situation. But, I also have duplicates on another internal HD and backups on an external FWHD, so that I can use one for day-to-day use and another for beta-testing software. I have a 2006 intel imac 4.1 with 2g of ram. I am currently running 10.5.8 and wish to upgrade the operating system. How high can I go as I would like to link it up with my newer imac, iphone and ipad...please advise and 10.5.8 is not cutting it.

You can run up to 10.6.8 on that particular model. That OS version is still available:

10.6.8 will run on 2GB RAM, the max for that model.

There is no free or paid download of any OS X system version below Lion OS 10.7. Apple does provide free downloads of updates to the base OS X.

After you install the base 10.5, download & install the 10.5.8 combo update at http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update
The DVD should look like this
Caution - Leopard does not support classic mode. So, if you currently open OS 9 apps in classic mode, you won't be able to do this if you upgrade to Leopard.

New phone AND operating system - how do I transfer my apps?

I'm going from having an iMac with 10.4.11 to a MacBook Pro with 10.6.4 - and I've upgraded my iPhone 3G with a 4.
I cannot sync my new phone with the old computer (where all the apps, my calendar) due to the old operating system.
I have managed to transfer my music, photos, calendar & contacts - now how do I get all my apps over there, too? (purchased & otherwise ....)
I found the app folder under User-Music-iTunes-MobileApplications on the old computer and tried copying onto my new computer, but maybe I'm not putting it in the right place - and those are only some of my apps - is there an easier way?

You can transfer them from the old iphone. Without syncing-File>Transfer Purchases
You can use migration assistant to move everything over.
You can copy the entire itunes folder across.

Im a new Mac user. I currently just bought a new MacBook Pro. The first computer I got apparently had a problem with the flex, so I had to go change it for a new one. The first one had the latest operating system, the second one the store gave me didn't, yet it's still a brand new computer, so I don't see why I should have to pay for the new operating system, which should already come with my brand new computer. So I am trying to contact apple so they may give me permission to download it from the app store for free, due to this inconvenience and first bad experience. The vendor tells me that sometimes new computers may come with old operating systems because they're from an old batch of new computers. Oh and by the way, I'm from Honduras, and bought it at Jetstereo, in Tegucigalpa (the capital). This store is a licensed distributor.

I updated my 4G to the 5.0 operating system, how do I can all my apps back

I updated my 4G to the 5.0 operating system and lost a number of my apps. Is there a way I can restore my Iphone to its last setting from a backup or do I have to manually add each app back? I uses a "TO DO" app with a ton of data on it that I want back on my iPhone

My sons phone did the same thing. Once the update was through and finished syncing he unplugged it and all his apps were missing. He plugged it back up and it resynced using his last back up on the computer. Try just plugging it back up again and manually resyncing it if you have to from the FILE menu.

Product Number: QE010UA ; computer has a Recovey Drive with data about 18GB. And I have WindowsImagebackup folder saved on external storage device as well. I'll try the method you mentioned now.
