Conflicts with cs5 and vista pc tablet

I own a Trust Slim Sketch Graphic Tablet, and I have issues with Vista PC Tablet Settings and Photoshop CS5
Trust tablet programing is not as advance as wacom and so the tablet spans across both screen. I am using dual screens and so it is 50/50 on my tablet.
When I use the tablet with Photoshop CS5, I am able to use 100% of the tablet space within the program on the primary monitor. (The pen will not go past the edge of the screen)(While PS is running i can click on the bottom task bar and then the tablet goes back to 50/50 spanning across both screens but when I click back into the PS it changes again to 100%)
This only happens with Photoshop, all the other adobe products uses the 50/50 spanning across both screens, I can drag the programs to either of the screens and use it. I can move the pen freely between screen, which works great when you are multi task.
This is where it gets weird, when I activated the PC Tablet fllick commands, it let me use PS like everyother Adobe product. I was able to use all the  tablet commands within PS and that was pretty cool. I thought that was the fix but when I rebooted my computer it changed back to my first issue. The flick commands are still on but will not work with in PS now.
I have searched everywhere and I can say I may be the only person with this problem and or may be a start to the solution to getting photoshop to work like ever adobe product.
Laptop PC (not a tablet pc)
Vista Home Premium 64
PC Tablet turned one
Two Monitors
Trust Slim Sketch Graphic Tablet

I understand that fact, but the tablet works fine, but it seems to be an issue with Vista PC Table progam and Photoshop CS5. Um like i said when I activated the flicks option that microsoft offers with windows, for a time there I was able to work within photoshop and move my pen to the second screen with no issues, and then when my computer reboot it stopped. The flick options still worked but it did not give me full access like before.

  • Getting static audio with Titanium and Vista x64 at random times

@Getting static audio with Titanium and Vista x64 at random times$ I have had this card for about 6-8 months and relati'vely no issues.
I just upgraded to the latest drivers 270006 and now, sometimes after exiting Turbine's Lotro, my audio plays but is very static-y, but it doesn't happen all the time. I had iTunes minimized when playing Lotro and then went to play a song after exiting. I quit iTunes and tried it again and it was ok.
This also happened in Firefox, a YouTube video had the same static audio.
It doesn't happen all the time and I do play other games, but I haven't been playing much else right now.
So right now I don't know if it's a Lotro thing or just the drivers.
    I have a Q9650, single GTX260, Asus P35 board (not SLI), Vista x64, 4GB.

Carl, do let us know on the Safe Mode test... would be the first thing I'd try with what you've mentioned, but yeah, daisy chained Hubs could possibly play into it.

  • Pressure problems with CS5 and Cintiq 12WX

So I have Photoshop CS5 and a Cintiq 12WX. I use 64bit and Win 7. When I'm drawing, at what seems to be random times, the pressure will turn off. It  might work the next time I draw a line or after the 7th or 8th time.
I don't remember this ever happening with any other programs (including CS4) so I'm guessing it might well be CS5 to blame for this more than the Cintiq. Does anyone have any experience with this? Could it be something clashing  causing the sensitivity to turn off?
    Thanks for your time.

There is a known issue with the very latest Wacom driver for the tablet.
Most people find that visiting the Wacom site and downgrading to a slightly older driver alleviates the problem you're reporting.
At the moment, owing to search problems I'm unable to find the specific thread here that identifies the version you need.  I think it was something like 6.1.5.

  • P1006 - networked with XP and VIsta-64 not printing more than 2 pages

Hello - I have a dilemma with my HP P1006.  I have the printer directly plugged in (USB) with my XP (32bit) PC.  I have a Vista-64 PC networked with it.  Both (XP-32 and Vista-64) are plugged in directly to the router (not wireless).  My question is why can I not print more than two pages at a time with items opened on the Vista-64 PC?  I CAN print more than two pages with items opened in the XP-32.
    Things I've done:
1 - uninstalled everything & reinstalled the latest drivers for the XP-32.
2 - marked the printer as "sharing" on the XP-32.
3 - confirmed the printer is marked "enable bidirectional sharing" under the printer properties on the XP-32 PC.
    Things I perplexed about:
1 - why won't items (docs, webpages, etc.) print more than two pages at a time from the Vista-64 PC?
2 - is there any reason that I should download a driver for the Vista-64 OS? If so, which PC do I download it to?
3 - I have another printer (Lexmark inkjet) connected in the same way (except it is a serial port not USB) and it can print more than two pages of a document at one time with no problem from either the XP-32 or Vista-64 PC?  Why?
Any thoughts on this situation?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciate.
    Thank you - Jane.

    Hi!
I just get a system message at teh bottom of teh screen saying "output cannot be issued " and it remains on teh same screen . I goto t-code va23 and enter my quotation number and on the top I select sales document ...issue output and select my output type and print preview or prnit , it comes out of that screen into the first screen and at the bottom gives msg "Output cannot be issued". I beleiev its not allowing the smartform to display when there are more than 2 pages , because I tried it with a contact which has 2 pages and it shows output but when I try with the one having more items i.e more than 2 pages it comes out of it . Its a smartform issue and something in the smartform is causing problem I beleive.

  • Prinitng issue with CS5 and Epson pro3800 printer

CS5 will not hold printer driver settings after leaving driver setup screen. Eg., after setting ICM and choosing Adobe RGB color space and icc profile from menu, when you click OK, Adobe screen reverts to Photoshop adjusts colors and not printer adjust colors as it should. If you change the setting manually, when you renetr driver setup, it now shows 'no color management and not ICM as it should. This does not occur with CS3 or 4. Any help is appreciated.

I don't have this problem but i can tell you printing out of CS5 is a mess nothing works the way it should....check out my forum i started... right now i just chucked cs5 and went back to cs3

  • Printing problems with CS5 and Epson Photo R2880 printer

I'm having problems getting good prints when using Photoshop CS5 with my Epson Photo R2880 printer, problems I never had with CS4. Here's the situation:
If I take a PSD file and print it using CS4, everything works out perfectly. But if I take that same PSD file and print it out using CS5, the print is now offset top to bottom, as well as left to right, along with a 1/8" black strip being printed down the right edge of the paper. As far as I can tell, everything is set the same.
I've compared all the print information found in the Print dialog summary box between CS4 and CS5 and everything appears to be the same. I've verified that I'm using the latest print driver with my printer, and I am. It's 8.27.  I've verified that I've checked off the box to center the print to the paper, each time I've made a print. And in trying to figure out what's going on, I've discovered that this problem occurs with any paper size when using CS5, but not with CS4.
I'm stumped and frustrated and without any more ideas as to what I should do next, except to always print my projects using CS4. If anyone has an idea for me, please let me know! Thanks!
P.s. I'm new at using this forum, and though I thought I sent this out once already, I never saw it posted. If I'm in error and it's already out there, sorry for the mistake and posting it twice.

    >"Unfortunately then I'd have to say all bets are off. The only true test is to print with the standard materials that Epson has designed their printer for. Only if that works well should you be trying third-party materials. For example, third-party inks in general are of poorer quality, are inconsistent, clog more, and in the long run, do not save you anywhere the amount of money they advertise over the genuine Epson products."
Getting very nice results with an R1800, Inkjetfly CIS, and Red River paper. The R1800 has never had Epson ink run through it and has no abnormal clogging problems. In fact, clogs are rare.
Getting near perfect matches to the monitor with both Colorvision and x-rite calibrating/profiling equipment. The printer stays on 24-7 so the only ink used, other than printing, is a periodic nozzle check. I am not alone in this, so blanket statements like the above are specious at best.
And no, I don't sell prints for big bux, so whether they are going to last a hundred years is not a concern. Besides, until someone is around long enough to verify those claims, the jury is out. I've got color prints from the wet days that are fading after 20+ years. Third party inks are not necessarily lower quality than OEM. One of the reasons for the development of high quality third party inks was the dissatisfaction of B&W and fine art printers with the OEM products.
Of course the cheap refilled/knockoff carts being hawked on ebay and the like are a different story.

  • Premiere Elements 10 conflicts with CS5.5

On my computer (Windows 7) I have Adobe Design Premium CS5.5 (with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other programs).
Now recently I have downloaded Adobe Premiere Elements 10 (trial version). Although the program itself works fine so far, it does give the following error message: "Adobe Media Core CS6 has stopped working .... Please close the program". This happens when I start my computer and also after I close Premiere Elements 10.
Does anyone know if this is a serious problem? Can I just continue by clicking away the message?
Or should I try a different version of Premiere Elements (9,8,...) for compatibility with CS5.5?

    Thanks Neale for your help.
First I checked for Bridge in the task manager: no such process running.
Then I uninstalled PRE10 and next reinstalled it by selecting 'Run as Administrator'. This did not solve the problem: the error message reappeared.
Finally I checked the task manager for other Adobe background processes, but there was no such process.
It appears that after closing PRE10 an application called 'Adobe Media Core CS6' appears in the task manager, and next the error message appears saying that "Adobe Media Core CS6 has stopped working".
I really don't know if this actually is a problem, and I don't know if I need Adobe Media Core CS6 for anything. My applications in CS5.5 (Photoshop etc) and also PRE10 work fine. But I would like to know if I can ignore the error message before I buy PRE10.
    Hopefully anyone can help me.

  • Spry Conflicts with LightBox and ThickBox?

i have tried to use both Lightbox2 and Thickbox on a page
with a Spry dataset and both will not work (they work fine on
non-Spry pages). It's just a simple gallery-style page. Any ideas
on how to make them compatible?

Sorry for the confusion, but I do have it set up correctly on
my local machine. I only posted the HTML file so you could download
it. I have all the included files in the right locations here
(because it works using either SPRY 1.5 or Slimbox when I test it).
Spry is definitely conflicting with Slimbox. I just made a
simple test file, got slimbox working and slowly added the Spry
pieces. It broke when I added the spry:region call in the div:
    <div id="content" spry:region="portfolio_xml">
I don't understand these people that say they are using Spry
and Slimbox without issues. Would be nice to see an example.

  • Windows 7 Firewire Issues with CS5 and ADVC-700

I've got a Windows 7, 64 bit system with CS 5. In dubbing out for playback, I route a firewire cable from the PC to an Canopus/Grass Valley ADVC-700. Both units are less than a year old and are having issues with "black outs" during the dub out process. I've read different things about Windows 7 having issues with firewire drivers. After speaking to someone with Adobe, I've changed my firewire driver to Legacy. That hasn't helped.
The ADVC-700 has s-video out running to preview monitor and BNC out/XLR audio running to my playback system for ingest. When the video goes to black (usually for a 1/2 second), the audio drops out with it.
I've reset the settings on the ADVC-700 with no luck.
Any suggestions on a fix or something else to try?

I did test with a JVC GY-HD200U and there weren't any performance issues which led me back to the PC or other on the PC.
The system is running Windows 7, 64 bit with CS5 Production Premium following an upgrade from the CS4 version.
I've got 12 GB of Ram, (2) Intel Xeon Quad Core E5560 -2.8 GHZ processoCrs.
    (1) 500GB SATA2 hard drive, 7200 RPM, 32 MC (System Drive)
    (3) 1 TB SATA2 Hard drives, 7200 RPM, 32 MC (3 TB, RAID0 Storage Drive)
    Nvidia GeForce 9800GT graphics Card
    Supermicro X8DAi motherboard, Intel 5520 Chipset, 2-PCIe X16, 1 PCIe x4, 3-PCI, 10-USB2 ports, 2-pro/1000 NIC, 8-channel HD audio, 6 SATA ports, RAID 0/1/5/10
I've got the legacy drivers for the firewire card. I've checked to make sure all of the power save options are off along with all screen saver options. I've cleaned my Adobe Cache out, deleted my Adobe Preferences, went from the 4pin/6pin cable to a 6pin/6pin cable to feed the ADVC-700 from the PC, reset the ADVC 700 back to factory specs...all of this with no luck.
The problem seems to be worse since the move from CS4 to CS5 but it's hard to tell.
I've also hooked up an older ADVC-500 unit with the same output results.
I think I noted in the first post that this is happening on two indentical systems with the same cabling and programs and the same ADVC-700 boxes.
I've been told by Adobe to clean my C; drive and reload the OS and Adobe CS5 as I should have done that when I upgraded instead of just upgrading the system from CS4 to CS5 using the discs. I haven't done this yet as I have to budget time/workflow to accomodate.

  • Can't open print settings with CS5 and Epson R1900

In Photoshop CS5, go to File > Print.  In the Print dialogue window, click on Print Settings... and no response.  The blue Print button in the lower right corner flashes when I click, but nothing else happens.
I've tried running Photoshop in 32-bit mode as well.  Doesn't behave differently.
Running on a Mac Pro 2.26 GHz (most current generation).
    12 GB RAM
    OS 10.6.4
Printer is connected to Airport Extreme USB (most current generation).
Can successfully print with CS4; seems to be a new issue with CS5.
Hope I've included enough info to troubleshoot this problem.
    Thanks for any help!
    Brian,.

I've been trying to trouble shoot this problem since the beginning of September. I wasn't sure if it was a snow leopard issue, a Driver issue, or a CS5 issue. I guess it's CS5. I recently discovered the work around of asking Photoshop to manage the colors, opening the print settings, saving, then returning to printer managing colors but this just doesn't cut it in our graphics lab. We need the settings to be as straight forward as possible for our students.
Also, unrelated sort of, Photoshop remembers the settings from the previous print job. Which again doesn't work well in a lab/public environment. So if jimmy printed 20 copies of a file and set it to print colors as gray; Susie, the next in line, would have the same print settings for her file. This seems to only happen with photoshop. Not Preview, not safari, nor any other program.
We're seriously considering moving back to CS4.
...at least that had contact sheets.

    @wonder
Thanks for the tip! It makes sense.
However, the current PKGBUILD for libdesktop-agnostic-gnome-bzr speaks about dependencies like so:
    depends=('glib2' 'gtk2>=2.20.0' 'gconf' 'gnome-vfs' 'gnome-desktop')
makedepends=('bzr' 'python' 'pygobject' 'pygtk' 'vala' 'gobject-introspection')
    optdepends=('python')
    conflicts=('libdesktop-agnostic')
And I still get the build error. I suspect the workaround is to force a removal of gtk-gir but I'm hesitating because I really don't want to break my AWN installation.
Am I being too cautios - or is there a better way of doing this?
    Thanks!
