Conflicts with two phones on itunes

My husband iphone 4 stopped working so he got the iphone5 which he gave to me and I gave him my 4s.  I have an Itunes account and when I set up an account for him it now effects both us each time we make changes to our phones.  I was able to transfer my contacts to the iphone5 but when then I couldn't get my contacts off iphone4s so I manually deleted them and tried to download his contacts from his cloud account and now they a mixed in with my contacts on my iphone5  is there anyway to fix this or how do I get the phones to act independently of each other?

Hey emmasheezel,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines how to use multiple iPhones with one computer:

  • How do I sync one iPhone with two laptops using iTunes (not iCloud)?

I just got a new iPhone 4S and want to sync it with two separate laptops (using the simple cable procedure, not iCloud) -- my old(er) MacBook Pro2.2 15", with Intel Core 2 Duo running System 10.5.8, and my new MacBook Pro with Intel Core i7 running Lion.
I tried this once before and got chaos -- syncing on the second laptop gave me multiple entries in my calendar and address book. I don't want to go through this again until I know the right procedure, if there is one.

When you get your new laptop repaired, transfer your iTunes library & other important data to your new computer. When you first sync your phone to this computer, all iTunes content will be erased from your phone. However since you've copied your iTunes library to your new computer, just sync the content back to your phone.

  • In a group text with two phones that use Imessage and one that does not. The person that does not, does not get my message when its sent in group text. How do i fix this?

I have a group text with two of my friends. here's each person break down
person 1 ATT network, using imessage
person 2 verzion network, using imessage
person 3 verzion network, using SMS
All three of us are in a group chat. When person 1 sends a message, person 2 recieves it, but person 3 does not. Then when person 3 sends a message, both person 1 and 2 get it. When person 2 sends an Imessage, person 1 and 3 get it
so the problem is when person 1 sends an imessage, it doesnt change to sms and person 3 doesnt get it, but person 2's automatilly switches it to green.
How can person one get their phone to automaticlly switch it to green in group message while keeping on imessage?

The quote below from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5760 indicates that it in the situation you describe it should be going as MMS to everyone -- which is not what you are seeing actually happen (and also not what you want to happen if I understand correctly). There may be something else helpful in the link.
Group messages will be sent using iMessage if all recipients have iMessage enabled. If not, the conversation will be sent as MMS. Group messages use MMS even if the content is text only.

  • How to share one laptop with two iPad for iTunes acc

One laptop with two iTunes acc...

It's possible. You just have to be very diligent about signing out of one account to use the other.

  • How do you share one iTunes with two phones but not get each other's apps when you sync?

My husband doesn't want to have the kid's apps or my apps download on his iphone when he syns to our one iTunes library....suggestions?

Each device will ONLY sync what you select.
Just do not select the apps that you do not want.  Only select the apps that you do want.

  • How to share apple account with two phones

Can you put two iphones onto one Apple account?  I want to be able to share music and apps in my family, but don't want to share messaging, face time.  How do I do this?

They would have to sign into their account in Settings>iTunes and App Store to make a purchase with their account.
I do not understand what you mean by:
"avoiding me to absorb them on my iphone".
On your Phone and the other devices you can go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and turn off Automatic Downloads. Automatic Downloads mean that if something is purchased on one device, it will automatically be download on other devices that use the same Apple ID

  • Does it matter if you are sharing one email account with two phone numbers

I am trying to facetime with my wife. We share the same email. but have two different phone numbers. on her end it says she is unavailable for facetime. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The 'extension' cords are all compatible with all of the power bricks for Apple portables (PowerBooks, MacBooks, MacBook Pros, etc.). I also have several from many generations (back to early PowerBooks) and I use them all interchangeably with current adapters (in various rooms at home, at work, etc.).
(As a side note, they are not compatible with the iPod power bricks, but that's not relevant for you.)

  • IOS 8 with two phones now getting messages on both

We have two iPhones and with the iOS 8 update we are now both getting the same calls, messages and calendar reminders. How can we make them both be different devices again.

I have the same problem.  It seems to have something to do with the wifi area.  When both phones are in the same wifi area they both get all calls but when they are not in the same wifi area everything goes to the right phones.
I found a weird entry under wifi, seeming to show that there is an automatic wifi hotspot created by the phones even though "personal hotspot" is turned off in both phones.  When I remove the hotspot from the phone "forget this network" then the other phone creates another hotspot.  I can't find a setting for voice over LTE which i thought might have something to do with it (that does not explain why my iPad rings when I get a phone call though (no LTE on it).  I would not mind except the iPad keeps ringing for about 2 rings after I answer the phone call on the phone.
Both phones getting calls is ridiculous though.  One is my daughters and I was trying to take a business call and it goes to her phone too.  They are two different numbers.  Are both of your phones using the same Apple ID like mine (that worked fine under IOS 7)?

  • Help with two phones on one Apple ID.

My step father put his iPhone on my Apple ID.  Now he's getting all my emails and my apps that I download.  It doesn't matter how many times I turn off the settings, it always happens.  Is there a way to permanently fix this?  I don't like the fact that he is seeing what I do.  It is to the point where I just want to create a new Apple ID for me because he refuses to make one.  If I do that, is there a way to keep everything that I've bought?
    Help me please.

Your father-in-law needs his own Apple ID for iTunes, iMessage, FaceTime & iCloud.
The Apple ID needs to be a verified email address. Once you have an email address, that can be verified, go here & create the ID:
    https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId
Then on his phone, turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
For the iTunes/App store: Settings>iTunes/App Store...tap your ID, sign out, now sign back in with the new ID.
He'll be on his own from this point on.

  • RTC service has a conflict with two link libs

    Hi All,
I create a RTC service for app ,but for fix windows store submission errors i need to change the service's lib from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\VC\lib\arm" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\VC\lib\store\arm"
By doing this modify can fix the submission errors but the service can not be boot up success.

I have the same issue since beginning. For any reason, it was not possible for me to access any account via ftp (regardless passive turned on or not). On my WinXP notebook, everything worked fine.
Unfortunately... I haven't found any way to get it working (neither with Apple's tech support assistance nor with help by this forum).
In my mind the problem is somewhere at the interaction of the two Mac firewalls. Your already indicated this that it seems to work when turning the firewall off (I couldn't disable my Mac's firewall to try it of my own due to security reasons).
However since Windows allows ftp logins, I don't think that the firewall of the server is wrongly configured, it must have to do with the firewall on our client Macs.
But as stated... beside of having the same problem as you, I can't be of great assistance. Anyway, good to hear that I'm not alone

  • New computer help with snycing phone to Itunes

I just had my mac replaced, do I seriously need to re-purchase all my ringtones and music? How do i get them to go the Itunes library?

What's lame? That you didn't backup your computer? Yeah, that's pretty lame.
Had you done your research you would have learned that ringtones are purchased through iTunes, stored there, and then synch to the iPhone. The ONLY songs that can back synch are ones purchased thru the WiFi store. Since ringtones are not purchased thru the WiFi store, they cannot back synch.
Guess your iTunes giftcard will indeed come in handy.
