Conform process all out of sync.

I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's just STP being buggy, but when I try to conform a project to a new version, the audio files get all out of sync!
I have a 4-minute video that I already mixed in STP. I made one change to the video in FCP, lengthening a single clip somewhere in the middle. I re-exported to STP, and conformed the old project to the new stmp file. When I do this, all of the clips after the new edit are out-of-sync. Some of them moved, some of them slipped. Even if I click on the 'un-modify' buttons in the conform window, none of the options get the clips back into sync. I'm using the "fully rendered video" option out of FCP to make sure the video is right.
It's really slowing me down to have to re-mix and master the audio every time I make a small change to the video. Am I doing something wrong here?

You and me both. A near-3 hour programme here, with a slight nip in the middle, conforming the oh-so-long dub should have been easy... instead, hundreds of sync-slipped audio clips, clicks appearing from nowhere... easy it isn't.
In the end, I'm having to re-dub the whole 3 hours again.
No one can help?

Videos... Audio/Video - its all out of sync..

I have been using pspware to convert movies and music vids to my ipod - no problems. Now i have converted a music vid this morning and the music and video seems to be all out of sync. The lips are moving - but the sounds is ahead of it.
Any ideas why this is???

Find two sync points - one near the beginning and one near the end - maybe a syllable of speech, where you can see the mouth movements?
Put separate markers on your video and audio at all four points. Adjust the speed of the audio until the markers align.
You can calculate the new speed you need if you measure the lengths on the timeline accurately, and get the markers to match within a frame - plenty good enough over the whole timeline.

Today I went to reinstall a package(thunar) after trying out PCManFM and realized I don't like it and I got these errors:

So I tried uncommenting a different mirror and got the same thing. Then I uncommented every mirror in my country and got this error:

It's not the mirrors out of sync, it's your local database. The current version of thunar is 1.6.1-1. Do a pacman -Syu first.

Apple Mail, Fonts all out of Sync

I have been using MS Outlook.com for my e-mail for some time. It works OK but has its limitations.
I have recently started using Apple Mail, with my Outlook.com mail account.
Unfortunately mails look ridiculous - the fonts are all over the place. For example, I receive a mail sent from a business colleague. When I reply, it shows my Reply in 11point, but the sender's mail in 15 point. It obviously wasn't sent in 15 point, but it means that my mail will look horrible when it is received and printed.
I use Outlook at my work and - as you would expect - all mails come in and are responded to at the size they are sent. Most business users use Calibri 11, so when their mails are received they show up as Calibri 11 and when I reply they 'stay' as Calibri 11. But using Apple Mail, that same mail shows up as Calibri 15. Why is this and how can it be fixed?

I have, but it doesn't help. When I compose a reply the original message is again showing on my screen as a 15 point font message, which is what it is when I then send my message. That will look awful on the recipient's computer.
I have tested it out by sending a mail to my Outlook mail from my work mail account. My work e-mail account uses Outlook and send mails with a default font and size - Calibri 11. So it should be received in Apple Mail with that font. It appears to be, but when I compose a reply, the message text increases in size to Calibri 15 point, even though my reply is in Calibri 11 point (which is what I have set it to be in Mail/Preferences/Fonts and Colours.
The only way that I have been able to fix this is to manually change the sender's font to Calibri 11 point, and then reply. But that is tedious and I don't want to have to do that every time I reply to a mail. It's easier just to reply by accessing Outlook.com through the internet and working of that.
Any advice appreciated!

What is the status of this bug? This is killing me. I am about to pitch FireFox but really don't want to. This needs to get fixed. (I am running FF 5.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.7 but it was happening on FF 3.6.n and 4.0 as well)

Firefox updated this morning and my fonts are all out of sync .want it back to what it was.

ok firefox updated this morning without me agreeing to it. once updated i notice the page i was on the font is huge. I then check in to facebook to find that page is totally different with regard to font size and form size . the games i play on there are now un playable due to the size of screen that i am used to .
i have tried changing settings on firefox to a reasonable size font and yes on some of the pages i visit regulary they are fine but still not the way i want it .and facebook well just looks horrible. i would like my fonts and pages i view to look the same as they did the night before the update. i am now running 22.0 i believe .

Sync stops part way "unable to process all items"

Suddenly my synchronisation on my phone as stopped working.
It stops at Sending data... 19 of 314. Says "Data transfer not possible, check data connection". Then says "Calendar: Incomplete. Unable to process all items"
The sync log says: "PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation" and "The Synchronisation was aborted by the user". (this last bit surprises me as this isn't the case!).

Syncing over bluetooth connection.
I have tried:
- switching phone on and off
- closing PC Suite and re-starting
- running a repair on PC Suite
- restarting bluetooth software
No joy. Very annoying. I seem to remember having this problem a few months ago (perhaps with my old phone, but can't remember how I resolved it).
Any ideas?

Interestingly, it did it again this morning. I recreated the settings and it works again. However, I really don't want to have to recreate the settings everyday!
Does anyone have a long term solution?
Interestinly, when I re-ran it, it seems to pause at the 19th item (the one it was getting stuck on) but then carry on. Could there be something wrong with some of the entries in my phone?

Cover Flow view is out-of-sync after deleting files

If you move a file to the trash while in Cover Flow, the file's contents are still displayed but the file is gone. Then as you use the arrow keys to move up and down, the file names continue to be out of sync with the content that's being displayed.
The only way to sync them back up again is to change views or flip to another folder and flip back.
If you continue to delete files based on the content you're looking at, you'll end up deleting the wrong files.

I tried watching them in the timeline and viewer, all out of sync. No external monitor. I did get a message once about dropped frames and something else, it said I might have these issues, but it didn't tell me to change settings, just told me it was gonna happen, lol. So, I don't know where to start to fix it.

Any video application I use with my iSight is out of sync with the audio.

It doesn't matter which application; Skype, Facetime, Google Talk, or trying to record a live video is all out of sync. The video appears to be lagging behind as I can still see my mouth moving after I'm talking. What's the problem? Sometimes I think I'm stuck in some type of bad kung fu movie timewarp... Someone help me get back to normal!

Audio is out of sync after capture.

I'm attempting an firewire capture from a DV source. When I'm logging clips and previewing them, the sound is fine, but when I view them after capture the audio is out of sync. I think I'm having timecode issues, is there any way around this?

IMovie '11 Audio & Video Out of Sync

Hey guys like a lot of other people, I am having a problem with my audio & video synchornization with iMovie '11 on a 2011 Macbook Pro.
The video: Using iMovie '11 9.0.8- It is 1 hour and 53 minutes long recorded through the Facetime HD Camera (1280 x 720). Audio is recorded through the internal mic.
Audio & Video get out of sync approximately 10 seconds into the video and gets progressively worse.
I have tried detaching the audio and exporting it in different formats. I have tried viewing it in MPEG Streamclip, VLC and Quicktime and it's all out of sync.
It also says "Indicates clip frame rate (24fps) is not a multiple of the current project (25fps)."

I would much rather keep things simple and not have to spend the money and time to learn Final Cut Pro X. It just seems silly for Apple to not include such a simple feature in iMovie 11 and force us to do these workarounds.
I am trying to make some instructional videos for my wife and I am finding I need to purchase more and more items. First a better camcorder to replace the flip with it's limited zoom and poor light ability. So I decided to get the new Canon HF R 400. Then of course a better mike so I got the Zoom H2N. So the room is a little dark so now the CN 160 led lights. Wait now I need an adapter because the Canon doesn't have a shoe to attach the lights. Oh now it seems recording HD footage means it needs to be transcoded into files that are 6 to 10 times larger so now I need a large external drive. So I guess a workarround in imovie is better than purchasing FCPX.
The good part is that there are people such as yourself on these forums to help us newbies as we blunder along.

Photos syncing from folder to iPhone all out of order?

I have 2 folders synced to my iPhone 4 photo app.
They were previous camera rolls before I set up my phone as a new device. They are all named in order and taken in order, for example IMG_001.jpg was my first picture in my old camera roll. IMG_822.jpg was the last photo taken before I did the backup, and is the last in the folder.
The folder I am syncing from on my windows computer displays all of the pictures by filename (and because of that, by date) but when syncing with iTunes they end up on the phone ALL out of order. I can't find any rhyme or reason to how they are displaying. Most of the earlier photos show up at the beginning like they should, and the last at the bottom of the scroll appear to be mostly right, but then it's completely random from there.
I've tried unsyncing them, removing them, and then adding them back again and nothing seems to work. I've even tried renaming the IMG_xxx numbers to different things and they still appear to sync in the same random order.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a huge bug for someone with OCD like me? lol

I have probably 15-20 Smart Albums in iPhoto 8.1.2 in OS10.6.4 that are syncing to iOS4.0
On the old software, my Smart Albums for photos would show up AS the smart albums I created. Now they show up in the iPhone one giant mess called "Photo Library".
I can view photos broken up under "Events" on the iPhone by specific dates, but the dates don't tell me what the name of the event was, and some Smart Albums had multiple dates grouped together in one Smart Album and I don't really want them broken out separately by date. I want them organized how I organized them...
In short, I want my photos grouped the way I have explicitly grouped them. It used to work, it doesn't now.
Since iOS4.0 I am also getting sync errors all the time in iTunes. "iPhone cannot be synced because the required file cannot be found." WHICH FILE??? tell me and I will delete it...
I've rebuilt the entire database in iPhoto (took 4 hours). I've scanned iTunes and removed all broken links and duplicate files. I've scanned the hard drive with the disk tool. I've emptied the iPhone and reinstalled iOS4 on it 5 times. I've turned syncing off for all non-essential applications and stuff I don't actually sync like voice memos. Same problem.
I think I want my iOS 3 back. I don't really like multitasking anyway, always having to turn off applications for the one or two times in a million where task switching if helpful...

Paper feed out of sync on HP PSC 1510 All-in-One Printer Scanner

Paper feed out of sync on HP PSC 1510 All-in-One(SN MY59SD224W0498). Goes to flashing orange light. With Vista Home Premium 32-bit, 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002. USB connection to HP Pavilion GU658AA-ABU a6250.uk .
After cleaning ink drip tray including removing & refitting the small panel in the base towards the rear RHS of the printer and also Super Glueing a small wedge of timber to close split shaft bearing for rear print feed rollers - looking from rear with clean out door removed this is at the LHS where the cogs are - paper feed is out of sync. When turned on with paper in feed tray printer draws in paper until about 2" (5cm) of paper protrudes from delivery slot & then stops. Paper jam is indicated by flashing orange light. On pressing Cancel/Resume, paper is expelled & another sheet taken in with the same results. Have turned off & restarted. Have moved cartridge cleaner tray right from front to rear & tested & then brought it right forward again & tested. Have turned off & unplugged power & USB & restarted after more than 30 minutes. Have uninstalled driver & downloaded & installed anew. Downloaded & ran the HP Print Diagnostic Utility. All to no avail. Any suggestions anyone?

Processing in STP causes out-of-sync in FCP

Mixing multitrack live band performances. After sending tracks to Soundtrack Pro for normalization, EQing, effecting etc. and round tripping back to FCP they now get out of sync with live performance video over the course of time.
Doesn't happen if I use FCP audio filters directly on the clips in timeline - but FCP's effects are so much more crude and limited. Is there a way to make Emagic's plug-ins from Logic (now also used in Soundtrack Pro) available directly in FCP ??

Having the same problem. A 4 minute song recorded from the deck during performance doesn't sync with the video footage after time. Anybody got any tips or this? Was working perfectly up until yesterday, no sync probs at all. I went in to do another mix and it's all gone pear-shaped.

Everything was fine now all my audio is out of sync. Anyone know why? The delay is about 1.2 second or so but is quite noticeable. Can this be fixed in Soundtrack?

thanks for the follow up. Anyone searchinf for iMac and FCP issues will find your thread. It's important and helpful because I don't know anyone around here who could have even GUESSED to change an iMac to AV mode. Never used FCP on such a machine.
