Confuse on PR & PO data migration approach new to MM module

Hi All,
I'm pretty confuse with the PO data migration approach when it comes to PO is GR or partial GR or GR&IR. I'm hoping that someone can enlighten me. i understand that we typically don't migrate PO when it is GR & IR, FI team usually will bring over to the new system as an vendor open item in AP. How about the PR or PO which have gone through or half release strategy? What is the follow up process?  I have created a criteria table below. How Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Hi John,
The approach that i have followed recently is that we have considered PO as the base document and converted other documents based on the PO condition. This means you first need to see if the PO is to be converted or not. Then you can proceed to convert the related documents like PR, Agreement, Info record, Source list, etc.
Also open qty for PO should be considered for Material and Service line items both.
Once a GR/SES is created, it gets updated in the PO history table EKBE with its related transaction/event type.i.e. EKBE-VGABE = 1 for GR and 9 for SES. Quantity and value also gets updated in case of material and services. You can compare this consumed quantities with PO quantity.
Please see below from SCN and let me know if you need more info on PR or PO conversion.

  • Data migration approach for Scheduling Agreements

    Gurus,
Can anyone provide guidance on the data migration approach for Scheduling Agreements? How can we migrate the open delivery schedules and the respective cumulative quantities? The document type being used is "LZ".
Can correction deliveries (Doc type - LFKO) be used update the initial cumulative quantities?

    Hi Zenith
You might find useful information here: IS-U data export (extraction) for EMIGALL.
I've done numerous IS-U migrations in the last 10+ years, but never one from IS-U to IS-U.
One main questions to start with: Are the two systems on the same release level?
If they are not and it would be too much effort to get them onto the same release level I would think creating your own extract programs and using the Migration workbench (EMIGALL) is the way to go.
If they are on the same level, there might possible other ways to do it, dependent on the differences between the two systems (mainly around customising). Assuming there are significant differences - otherwise why would you bother migrating? - there's the high probability that using EMIGALL is the way to go as well.

  • Data migration to new macbook via external usb?

So I have a macbook pro right now and am looking at getting a macbook. I want to use the data migration assistant during the macbook setup to keep all my files, applications and things from the mbp.
The question is can I use a external usb drive to do this or does it have to be firewire? I wouldn't actually have both computers at the same time, so I would create a restore on the external usb and just plug that intot he new macbook. Would that do?
If not and I need firewire, would a simple usb to firewire adapter work?
    Thanks

Patience sir. People who have an answer will post. If no one does, it's probably too esoteric for most. See "A Basic Guide for Migrating to Intel-Macs" at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=580146. That should get you started.

  • Data migration to new macbook pro retina

I just migrated my imac desktop 2007 to my new macbook pro 2013 (about 250gb) and all was well.  I then decided that there may be a few photos/contacts etc on my 2008 macbook pro which were not on the desktop, and migrated that to the new computer.  Now the new retina is just like the old macbook but the previous migration cannot be found.  My hope was to merge the two and delete anything which was a duplicate (95% of photos are in common on both computers for instance, and now have two copies of most on this retina, one hidden).  When I check my memory usage the new retina has about 500gb storage used so I know BOTH computers are now on this new retina but only one is visible.  How to merge all data from both on the new retina and delete all copies to go back to about 300gb storage?
    Help is much appreciated!

  • Lost ratings during data migration to new mac

I recently bought the new macbook pro and had the applestore migrate my entire data to from my old macbook. Absolutely everything worked out fine except that I lost all ratings in Lightroom version 2. As I have around 15,000 pics and most of them rated I am a bit desperate. Lucky enough I still have my old macbook working and also have a back up where the ratings are still showing. How can I combine the old ratings with the ratings of my new catalog, as I have already rated more pics on my new mac. Thanks

  • HT4847 Data migration to new iphone

i have bought a new iphone 5 but set it up without using my old iphone 4 data which is backed up onicloud. I now want to import teh data especially contacts and dont know how as apple provides only info how to do it during set up.
    help!
    E

Contacts are part of iCloud and as such you should only need to enable iCloud in order to be able to use your contacts, calendars etc etc.
If you require any other data from your iPhone 4 backup, you will have to restore the whole device, which is done by performing an "Erase all content and settings".

Anyone having any idea on the data migration appraoach to be followed from Oracle BPEL 10.1.2.0 to 10.1.3.3
    If it supported?
I understand process migration is possible (I found it out in installation guide for 10.1.3.1) but there are no documents available for data migration approach (Or I am not able to get hold of any).

To workaround the problem, from the DataModel project, right-clicked Project Properties, selected Business Components: Options, unchecked Validate Objects during Compile, and the project compiled successfuly, yet the issue is to have my xml files valid.

  • Data migration from rescued drive to new internal drive

Need assistance! I recently experienced a hard drive failure on my MacBook (OS 10.5). Apple replaced my hard drive with a new one (running 10.6), and a data recovery company was able to resuce the data from my failed drive; they put it all on an external drive. I then used migration assistant to get my old data back onto the new drive. The problem is that my old home folder was encrypted with File Vault, so that data would not transfer -- i.e., my photos, music, bookmarks, old emails, etc.
I've tried booting up from the external drive, but no dice. The laptop sees the drive and looks like it attempts to start up from it, but it just keeps spinning. Are there any other tricks to access my old home folder in order to turn off File Vault so that I may transfer that data onto my new hard drive?

I tried it and i got the runtime error with "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
When I tried a part of options, that is no problem at all. However, when i select all options, the memory usage is increase and then the error will be returned.
The server is Win2003 with 4GB memory.

  • I am migrating to a new iMac via TimeMachine back up.  My iPhoto libraries are on external drive.  I'd like to migrate only the internal hard drive data to the new internal Drive then just plug in iPhoto library drive.  Is this going be a problem?

I am migrating to a new iMac via TimeMachine back up.  My iPhoto libraries are on an external drive.  Both drives are backed up on Time Machine.  I'd like to migrate only the old internal hard drive data to the new internal Drive and then just plug in iPhoto library drive to the new iMac.  This would save having to transfer several hundred GBs of data.  Will this work using Set Up Assistant?

Your user account on the new Mac must have a different UID than on the old one.  See the pink box in Problems after using Migration Assistant for an explanation.
You'll need to change the permissions on the iPhoto library on the external HD.  Do a Get Info on it, click the padlock at the bottom of the Sharing & Permissions section of the Info window and enter your Admin password.
Then click the plus sign, select the user account you want on the next screen, and click Select.   Then change Read only to Read & Write for that user via the little arrows.  Finally, click the "gear" icon and select Apply to enclosed items.  That may take a few mintutes on a large library.

  • Migrating data to a "new" setup, questions

    Hi fellow Archers,
    This is my current setup:
Atom+ION board with 3 SATA ports + 1 PCI card with 2 SATA ports.
    Storage:
    2x 2TB
    1x 1.5TB
    1x 1TB
They are all part of the same vg:
    [root@ion ~]# vgdisplay

I now have a new mainboard and a SATA controller card (PCI-E 1x) coming, with two new 2TB drives. Also a cheap small SSD on the way for the OS.
What I want to do: Migrate all data to a new RAID5 array consisting of 4x 2TB drives.
Is this possible without losing any data?
    Thanks!

    Shameless self-reply-bump;
I now have the new parts except the controller. When I get that I'm going to set up the new system, trying to migrate away all data off one 2TB drive so I can pull it out of the lvm volume group.
Then I can create a new RAID5 array with 2 new and 1 old 2TB drives and start moving the data to that one. When that's done, I'll move the other 2TB drive that was in the volume group, to the RAID5 array. That way I should end up with 4 2TB HDDs in RAID5.
I need to do some research first on what stripe size to use, filesystem, etc, as well as if it's best to have the HDDs on the controller (PCI-E 1x) or on the onboard SATA controller (which should be faster since it's not bottlenecked by the PCI-E 1x bus).
    Thanks
Edit: New system installed, data migration ongoing. Managed to borrow a 2TB drive off a friend, migrated data to that so I could take one old 2TB out of the lvm, thus giving me 3 unused 2TB HDDs, on which I created a RAID5 array. Currently migrating data to it while it's initializing the parity etc...

sata_mv: Highpoint RocketRAID BIOS CORRUPTS DATA on all attached drives, regardless of if/how they are configured. BEWARE!
sata_mv: For data safety, do not use sectors 8-9 on "Legacy" drives, and avoid the final two gigabytes on all RocketRAID BIOS initialized drives.
That was the culprit! I shrunk the device usage per partition like so:
    Avail Dev Size : 3907025072 (1863.01 GiB 2000.40 GB)
    Array Size : 11702108160 (5580.00 GiB 5991.48 GB)
    Used Dev Size : 3900702720 (1860.00 GiB 1997.16 GB)
So it's using 1860 out of 1863 or so GB per partition, that way I should be safe corruption wise. It would be best to shrink the actual partitions (sd[b,c,d,g]1), but I don't know how to do that without messing everything up.

FireWire cables are dirt cheap and that's how you should be doing the migration. You might have to start over, wiping the new machine's HD, and restoring the software as described in the Everything Mac manual that came with it. See Best Practices and Setup new Mac for more details.

  • I used Migration Assistant to copy data to an new MacBook Pro from an old via my Time Capsule. When asked if to inherit time machine history on the new Mac, I mistakenly said no. How do I go back one step to say yes?

There isn't enough space on the Time Capsule to create a separate backup of the data on the new MacBook. And I am reluctant to delete old backups of the old MacBook to create space to backup the new machine. This occurred about 3 weeks ago so the data on the two machines are now out of sync. If I start over by formatting the new MacBook and rerunning Migration Assistant to pull data from the Time Capsule, how do i preserve the last 3 weeks of data on the new MacBook, considering that I didn't keep track of which files changed in the last 3 weeks?

All the rest of the stuff is where it should be.  As best I can tell. I have been going through my programs one at a time to see what works.  With the change in the OS (Launchpad? What the heck?) I am finding a significant number of my old programs are not working. Some I have found upgrades.  But without a working mail program, the machine is pretty useless for work.
The Apple techies had me run through 3 hours of 'stuff' (holding down keys and restarting, etc, etc).  It still does not launch. I think we are waiting for a 'miracle', but I need to know now if they should just come get this piece of junk or if they really are able to find a solution in a timely manner.

If you migrated all the info from time machine to your new MBP. The TM will usually ask to connect to the old backups.. sorry I am not sure is this what you want to do.. Personally I think you start a fresh backup.
BTW Time Capsule does not do anything.. it is a dumb hard disk in a box.. it is TM that does everything.
Look at B5 and B6 here about connecting to your backup.

  • How can I rollback from Yosemite to Lion? I need to do this as I purchased a newer iMac and I have the old 17" iMac HD that I want to get the data migrated from. When I start the Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X version is too old. Help!

I have purchased a newer mid 2011 iMac for my wife to replace her dead 17"iMac from 2006. It was running Snow Leopard. The new iMac has Yosemite and when I go into Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X is too old, implying that I cannot get the data from it. How can I migrate this data to the new iMac? I have the hard drive removed and in an external enclosure connected to the new iMac.
    Thanks,
    Bill Stratman

Since any OS since Lion does not support Rosetta or PPC applications, you may want to check her apps for compatibility.
Have you tried to follow all the instructions here:
OS X Yosemite: Transfer your info from a computer or storage device
Also, as a general note: when you got the 2011 iMac did it have the original OS installed as required by the SLA? The seller is to remove any OS version obtained at the app store since the license is not transferable - did he do that? If not, as the OS download is tied to the Apple ID used to obtain it, you will not be able to update apps or reinstall the OS, so may I suggest you do this step now before you start porting over all the files. Use Internet Recovery: Hold Command + Option + R while restarting/rebooting until you see a spinning globe and a progress bar. After 2 - 10 minutes, you'll be connected to Apple's servers and see a Utilities window. Go to Disk Utility and choose erase your drive; once finished, go back to the window and choose to reinstall OS X. This should install a fresh original OS version which you can then update and tie to your wife's Apple ID.
