Confused about software i downloaded from the Mac App Store

So yesterday i downloaded the Soundcloud App since i love the way that community and music binds together and i got the app to use it like my main music source since iTunes store is not open in my current area and i can't buy my music. And yesterday i took a look at the plans and stuff since i saw that you are limited to 120 upload and i was confused because i only want to listen to music not upload can someone clear this out for me please ?
Thanks

If you google "soundcloud app" you come up with a lot of links. One of which was this. Hope it helps:

I traied to remove cookies and still don't working.

Regretably, none of the above solutions has resolved this problem for me.
Whenever I try to perform updates (in my case, Xcode and iPhoto both want to update), I receive the following error:
    An error occurred during purchase.
(of course, I am not trying to purchase anything, it is a free update)
If I press Retry, the above repeats until I press Cancel, then I see:
We could not complete your request.
There was an error in the App Store.  Please try again later.  (20)
I have been "trying again later" for three weeks now, with no resolution in sight.

  • Hey Guys I Wanted To Know How Do I Change The Download/Install Location Of Apps I download From The Mac App Store Bac To The Dock Like In Snow Leopard?

So Every Time I Download From The Mac App Store (In Lion) It Always Pops Up And Downloads/Installs In The iOS Feature Thing, So How Do I Change That So It Doenloads/Installs Straight 2 The Dock Like In Snow Leopard?? lol
    Specs...
    Macbook Pro (Early 2008)
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    4GB RAM (MAXED)

Actually it does because the Dock is Snow Leopard's program launcher. For Lion, LaunchPad is the program launcher, not the Dock. Don't like that? Here's where you complain. Otherwise, you asked and I answered.

    Hi Sandra,
you'll need to edit the security settings to install programs 'Mac App Store and identified developers'
Open the Systems Preference and go to Security & Privacy.  There will be a section in the 'General' tab for 'Allow apps downloaded from:"  The default selection is 'Mac App Store'.  Change this setting to 'Mac App Store and identified developers".
This screenshot is taken on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may look slightly different if you're on a different OS X version.

  • ""Install Adobe Flash Player.app" can't be opened because... not downloaded from the Mac App Store"

I jsut upgraded to 10.9 and it is up to date and also my safari is up to date (no updates available for it). My safari is saying that my flash is out of date. when I follow the links it lets me download but when I double click to install it tell me "“Install Adobe Flash Player.app” can’t be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store.". When I install the flash UNinstaller and try to install that, it tells me the same. I ALSO found the exact same problem when I tried to install the acrobat installer (some tried to download a pdf and the page told me that my acrobat reader 'might' be out of date). Any thought?

You're running up against the GateKeeper.
Download the offline installer: Flash Player 12.0.0.44 (Mac OS X) by right clicking and choosing "Download Linked File As".
Mount the DMG and when it opens, right click the installer and choose "Open".
You'll see a warning. Click "Open" again.
    It will run from there.

  • Can't download from the Mac app store

    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Anytime I try to download an app free or paid from the mac app store it goes to my doc but it doesn't download it just sits there and says it's waiting. also when I have an update for an app I click on it and enter my apple id and pass to update and nothing happends.  the store worked when I first got it and then one day it just stopped.
how can I fix this? Do i have to reinstall the app store? I am running the latest version of snow leopard on a core i7 macbook Pro (early 2010) I also checked my firewall settings and nothing is blocking it from working.
    Thanks

    Then I would first try trashing these files and folder;
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
    ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost

  • I deleted an app downloaded from the Mac App Store, Mac App Store is showing an update for deleted app.

I downloaded Blackmagic Speed Disk from the Mac App store last year.  Its not a pirated copy or anything.  I deleted the app cause I never used it.  After I deleted the app the Mac App Store shows an available update for the deleted app.  When I click update, it just re-downloads the app.   Cant figure out how to completly get rid of it.  I uninstalled the app and then used easy file finder to delete the app's files completely.  How do I get rid of the annoying Update??? Thanks

Hide the app from your Purchases list. Sign into your account (Store menu). Go to Purchases pane, right click on the app in question, Hide the app.

  • Downloading from the mac app store

I bought OS Lion for my laptop.  Do I have to buy it again for my desktop or download it again? I don't think the original purchase was for multiple computers.

    Hi...
You can re download Lion on all your authorized Macs for free. Yes, you will have to download Lion to the Desktop.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed  then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Make sure the desktop meets Lion's requirements:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available spare

  • I cannot download from the mac app store

I can't download any apps or upgrades from the app store on my 13.3" macbook pro.  I can log on to the app store and look at apps, but when I try to download anything all I get is the spinning wheel.  Any suggestions?

Apple did not make the Mac App Store available until 10.6.6, and most Apps on there are only available for 10.6.6 and higher.  If you are really running 10.5.5, you should seriously consider getting 10.6 and updating to 10.6.8 because of a first virus to ever venture in Mac OS X, which affects anyone browsing with Java. Those with less than 10.6.8 can turn off Java to avoid it, but of course this means many websites won't be accessible. This tip explains how to turn off Java with 10.6.7 or earlier, or update to 10.6.8 and apply the Java patch:

10.6 is still available from many places, but is not necessary for upgrading to 10.7.

  • How do I install lion to multiple macs with a single download from the Mac App Store?

I want to upgrade multiple Macs, but I don't want to download the update multiple times.
Has Apple posted instructions on this?  My searches have been in vain.

Upgrading to OS X 10.7 FAQ
Backup your user files and folders manually (drag and drop) from all partitions/OS's installed to a external powered drive and disconnect this drive, before proceeding in addition to TimeMachine, Bootable Clones etc.
You need to make sure you're running the latest version of Snow Leopard10.6.8
Click the "Apple" symbol in the top left corner of your screen and select "About This Mac."
Make sure you're running version 10.6.8.
If not, click "Software Update" from the same Apple menu and update your system.
Then when that's finished launch the MacAppStore from the same menu.
You'll see the giant Lion banner across the top. Click on it.
This brings you to the app page for Lion. It costs $29.99 -- click the price, then click "Buy App."
    Free Lion? check here
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/
You'll be prompted to sign in with your iTunes ID. After that, yourdownload / upgrade begins.

    Didn't get Lion?
These are user to user support forums and Apple doesn't respond here,
We users can't speak for Apple about your free Lion status or problems downloading, reissuing a download.
It's possible Apple could be spacing out the downloads as not to knock theservers offline. So be patient.
If after a week or so when the initial rush is over, and you still haven't gotten your Lion, I suggest you contact Apple.
    Mission critical
If your using Mac's in a mission critical type environment or have third party hardware or software you must rely upon working correctly. It's advised to wait until all the bugs, driver updates, third party software and other issues are resolved before upgrading. This might take several months. Then if you do so, do one machine at a time andcarefully test everything before full deployment.

  • I can't upgrade Flash Player because it wasn't downloaded from the Mac App Store.

Now what?? I can't watch any videos.

Go to Control Panel > Security > Allow Software from App Store and Indentified Developers, then run the installer again.

You can change the settings in Security & Privacy to "Anywhere"...
That should work... as to whether the printer driver will work, that's another question.

  • Trying to install new version of software from the Mac App Store

My iMac is running OS X 10.6.8
I purchase a copy of Swift Publisher 3.0.1 back in June of 2012.
I paid $19.99 U.S.D for this upgrade, then.
I just went to the Mac App Store to download a more recent version ( ver 3.5.5).
It is not coming up in the Mac App Store as an Update and appears as if I will pay another $19.99.
Is this what will happen? There is no indication on BeLight's web page about any update charges to any 3.x.x version of Swift Publiser,
When I click the buy button, it looks as though I am going to be charged for this, again. Nothing appears as an indication that this is just an update.
    WHat will happen?

    I solved it.
I, originally, download and installed the software under the Mac App Store when I was using OS X Mavericks.
I was getting all sorts of error messages from the Mac App Store under Snow Leopard.
I simply copied that version to my working OS X Snow Leopard disc and it is working fine, now.
Thank goodness for having multiple backups on three drives!
Whoo! Spent a good chunk of the day trying to figure this one out!
