Confusing things about iCloud.... (please help!)
Hi everyone,
Having a bit of trouble getting my head aroundt his iCloud thing.
I've got a mac and have got an iphone on order, i've also got an ipod touch.
When i set up iCloud I was asked to create a .me.com email address to use with mail.... I really didn't want to do this as I want to continue using my btyahoo internet account with mail... So, will the bt yahoo email account still work with iCloud? Do i need this icloud address? (MY APPLE ID IS MY BTYAHOO ADDRESS)
What i would love is if i can read/send an email from my bt yahoo account on my iphone and it will be read/appear in sent on my mac mail application... I don't want another email account... I didn't have any choice though.
I appreciate this question has probably been asked a million times but i really can't work it out or find an answer anywhere.
Also, how do I configure iTunes so that I can select different media to add to my iphone/ipod... i used to do the tick box, but what if i want different media on each device...
Would really appreciate any help on this!!

You don't have to use your me address if you don't want, you can have your yahoo address on all your devices but you can't have it turn up in a sent folder on one device if it was sent from another, you need an IMAP email account for that. You could have your phone automatically have your email address added as a CC and then use rules in mail on the mac to have it put in a folder.
When you connect the new phone you will see it as a separate device to your iPod and will be able to select different content to sync to each.

There are a couple of things that you can do yourself before taking your machine into an Apple Store or an AASP... download and run an application named Rember that will run a RAM test for you - let it run for a couple of hours or even overnight. If it turns out that your RAM is faulty, Rember will let you know. If it is faulty, then you have a couple of options - replace the RAM yourself or (particularly if you're under warranty still) take the machine to an Apple Store or AASP and have them replace the RAM.
If Rember finds no fault with the RAM, then you'll need to take it into an Apple Store/AASP and get a free diagnosis on the machine. Three beeps do usually indicate faulty RAM, but if it tests good with Rember you likely have another problem - it could be something as simple as the RAM, somehow, not seated correctly or signs of another hardware problem.
Run Rember first... call back with results.

What exactly are you seeing on the phone's screen ? If the iTunes icon and cable then the phone is in recovery mode, in which case it's too late to take a new backup or to copy any content off the phone - you will have to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and reset it back to factory defaults, after which you can restore to the last backup that you took or just resync your content to it

If you are the original owner of the phone and know the Apple ID and password that were used to activate it originally, and if you have an existing backup to restore from, you can force it into recovery mode (which will completely erase it) and restore it as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. When you do you will encounter activation lock, and will have to provide the ID and password used to activate it originally in order to activate it again. If you can't, you won't be able to activate and use it.

I need answers about the iCloud - Please help
Hi guys, well I have a few iOS devices, 2 ipads, and an iphone. Well, I got a few questions to ask.
1. Ok, on my iphone on settings on the icloud bit, I have my iphone back up aswell as the 2 ipads. What will happen if I delete the back up for 1 of the ipads. Like, I don't know whats on the back up. And If I want a new back up for the ipad, how to I create 1?
2. On the icloud section with all 3 ios devices, my 5gb of storage is full, and each device has a bit of storage used up by it. The iphone - 1.7gb, ipad 1 - 600 mb... And it all adds up to around 5gb. But what I don't understand is, on 1 of the ipads it says I've used up 17gb of storage (not icloud), so why has the icloud only stored 600 mb of it? Shouldn't it store like the whole 5gb? I really don't know... I need all the info about the icloud. And yes I've read all of it on this website but none of it helps.
3. Since it say the icloud storage is full, how do i get more storage, should I just buy more, or is there another way?
All I know is, if I have icloud set up on all 3 of my devices, what ever i buy on 1 devices it goes on the other 3.
And that, i have a back up with all my music n stuff in, just incase something goes wrong. Please help! Thanks!iCloud Support

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Lost everything from iWork by using iCloud, please help
I have an iPad with Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, I have been doing my work on them for about one year.
Everything was fine until I bought a MacBook Air, I made a new apple id acount so that I could share my work, that I have on my iPad, to my computer and to be able to use iCloud.
My MacBook Air has some pieces of work that I have done recently, and is useing a Apple Account (lets call it "account 1").
Today I went on my ipad and deleted the apple id account I had it registered to. A window showed up asking if I wanted to delet the work I had on the iPad, or I wanted to keep it on the iPad, so I chose to keep all my work from Pages, Keynote, Numbers, pictures... ect on my iPad.
Then, still on the iCloud section of setting, I registered the iPad to "account 1" the one already registered to my Mac.
Then, I opened Pages on my iPad and saw all my work just disappear, then I opened Keynote and saw the same thing happen, finaly, I opened Numbers and saw the same thing happen again.
I have cheked my Contacts and Photos (on my iPad) and they are still there.
Now that I open iCloud (using safari) on my Mac (registered with "account 1") I cant find all my work from my iPad, it tells me that I dont have Pages instaled (when i already had bought it), so i bought it again (thinking that Apple would know that there is a mistake) but it just used my money to buy it again. After getting it downloaded, iCloud still doesnt show any of all my work.
Can someone please help me, it is urgent and I would apreciate it.

If the device is ever lost, stolen, or simply fails, without having contacts synced to a supported app or a cloud service will result in losing the contacts.

Very confused with trade in, please help!
I ordered a iPhone 6 today through my local Verizon store, I have a iPhone 5 to trade.. The whole process was done very fast so I didnt ask to many questions. I am confused though, am I mailing my phone in once the iPhone 6 gets to my verizon store? Or are they going to give me a $200 dollar credit so I can trade it in right then? I did already get a conformation about my order saying it will ship by 10/31. Please help!! Thanks!!
Well it depends on what posts you read on this subject.
Some customers have stated that if you buy or pick up in store they can look at your device and credit you on the spot.
Others have said that you get a mailer that you send the phone back in which many have claimed the amount promised was reduced to $36 because the iPhone was not deactivated or wiped absolutely clean. See if the store will take it first before you mail it back.

Okay, well this is how it goes; My brother is good with electronics, and fixed this iPod for his friend. His friend didn't want the iPod mini anymore, so my brother gave it to me. The problem is the battery needs to be charged to turn on, but it's showing up the low battery sign, but it's not showing that it's charging. I have no idea if it's charging or not, yet it's plugged into my computer, so I'm kind of confused and mad, and it's not showing up on my computer or iTunes.I can't take it back because I don't even know when he got it. Please help me out here!

Ujenna.First of all, try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are. Reset the iPod each time you connect it to another port.
Then try with the iPod in forced disk mode.

Does the magazine show up in news stand that you purchased? Also you can check your subscriptions via iTunes on a Mac or PC to see if you actually were able to sign up for the subscirption or from your device. Here are the instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098. If it doesnt show up there more than likely your purchase didnt go through and what you are seeing is a authorization charge on your bank statement. I would contact itunes store support via calling Apple Care or expresslane.apple.com to see why it was declined if it doesnt show up under your subscriptions.
