Confusion about Trash Folder online, offline and Deleted Messages folder!

Hello everyone,
Why does Mail (Desktop) have TWO Trash folders? I only have MobileMe IMAP account setup (so there's no POP business here :o)). Despite of this single account setup, the folder structure seems confusing. At the very top on the left pane we have MAILBOXES which contain Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Trash. Under Trash, I have two folders one is the local Trash and the other [email protected] - what is the significance of these? Under Mail Preferences - > Accounts - > Mailbox Behaviors -> Trash, I have both checkboxes checked (Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox & Store deleted messages on the server), junk mail is set to send messages to the Trash.
Add mystery & confusion to the above, I also have another category in the left pane named after my account ([email protected] Under this I have a folder which I have setup (I set this up to be on my [email protected] as opposed to On My Mac). That part is obvious. But what is that Deleted Messages folder doing here? I did not create this manually. Essentially Mail is telling me that this is a user added folder that exists on the server (at MobileMe). I see this Deleted Messages on the server too. What causes the creation of this folder? (Over there I have "Move deleted messages to the [Trash]" option enabled under Preferences)
I tried deleting the Deleted Messages folder online and my desktop Mail threw away its default Trash icon! I had nowhere to throw my trash. (although this was resolved after waiting for a while and relaunching Mail).
Can anyone shed some light on this? Just like my Mac, I'd like to keep things neat and simple. I'd like to have a single Trash can (it's too much work emptying two Trash cans in addition to the household trash :o)), not to mentioned the third Deleted Messages!

Accidently trashed my desktop icon and deleted it

I accidently trashed my desktop icon and deleted it. Ugh. Somehow I had a desktop folder in the home folder and I thought it was a duplicate. Stupid me. I have rebooted and the icon is gone. Also tried to restor in the Find preferences but it will not allow me to check the box. Help!!!!!

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder (or whatever it is called by yor provider) so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails

I am unable to delete whole texts from left-swipe. i click delete and they dissappear. But then i can't send or recieve texts. i reboot phone and deleted message reappear. i've synced, backup, everything. Help!

I am doing this beacuse in my space on my phone my doucments and data are taking up 9GB of space, and i don't know why other than in my phone it says messages are taking up 8GB or so. I am running ios 7.0. I have synced my phone with itunes, backed up, reboots after deleting the texts, they never vanish, i have even restored from itunes and restored from a backup that didn't include the texts after i deleted them.

actually better to reset your phone and reinstall the latest firmware again after that restore your back up it should be ok

How to archive and delete messages in SXMB_MONI

We are working on SAP XI Development environment wherein we have File to IDoc scenario running twice daily and creating many messages.
How to archive and then delete these messages ?
Does accumalation of past messages affect the speed and performance of the system?

New bie confused about linking different things BP and org struc

Dear Experts,
It might sound very silly question but as a fresher to a functional module i am bit confused about all the different concepts.
1. How actually we start a CRM implementation like after blue printing what are the activities we first start
like do we first config master data and then org structure and then activities.
what is the inter linking between these three , i have read CR100, after reading that i am not able to link each one of them like which one is first.
And last but not least please kindly guide me how to practise the config.

abt transactions wat ever the std transactions in R3 will present in CRM which already mapped if there r any Ztransactions u have to create the same Ztransactions in CRM for Ztransactions u need to create Zitem categories item category determination and copy controls everything manually and u have to map them, it is not possible to download these from R3 to CRM

Watever u r willing to replicate the BPs from CRM to R3 (u can also avoid some BPs not the replicate to R3) u have to do proper settings in R3 in PIDE transaction, u can do here both dimentional replication settings.

HT4859 Confused about iPhone backups in iCloud and iTunes.

Getting mixed up about what is the purpose and content of backups of my iPhone in iTunes and iCloud. I have lost/forgotten my password for the backup in iTunes anyway and I understand there's no way of getting this back except by completely wiping everything and starting again??

You could always restore the backup again to the iPhone 5, assuming you mean that after deleting the contacts, you didn't perform another backup.
Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content & Settings
This will erase the phone and you will then go through the activation process again as you did when it was new, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. Make sure you phone is connected to wifi and your charger.

My IPad shows I have 1.1GB of mail and attachments. What am I not seeing? I have went into each account and deleted messages from all folders (inbox, sent and trash). It still shows that I have that much space used.

I could really use some help. Probably an easy fix, but I can't seem to figure it ou.

I would start with taking a look at the settings to make sure that you are able to send and receive messages. If everything looks good then the next step would be to remove the accounts and add them back in. I have duplicate mail accounts and deleted messages keep redownloading in gmail

I am using Mountain Lion and I have a me.com email account, gmail account, and sbcglobal.net account. I set up my accounts in iMail and I use iCloud, but now I have duplicate mail accounts and every time I delete messages from my gmail account, the next time I go into Mail, all the deleted messages are back in my gmail account. How do I stop this from happening and how do I make it so that I don't have duplicates of everything!

All 3 email accounts show up under Inbox, but all three also show up as iCloud, sbcglobal.net, and gmail. The iCloud account will occasionally get duplicates, the sbcglobal.net account only gets mail that sbcglobal.net has put into a "bulk" folder and seems to be all junk mail and does not show up in the sbcglobal.net inbox account and the gmail shows up in both places, but I can delete messages in the gmail inbox account and they do not download again, but the second gmail account is the one that keeps redownloading the already deleted messages into the gmail "all mail" folder. I have tried deleting the gmail account and have gone to gmail's help page, but they are behind with set up for Mac Mail. The set up is for Mail 3.0 and not 6.2. It keeps downloading over a thousand emails into this gmail "all mail" folder. Is there any way to stop this?

Gmail and deleted messages synch problem

First of all, sorry for my english
I have few gmail accounts on my Bold. Imap is enabled on ALL gmail accounts of course.
If i delete a message from web/pc(imap) this message is deleted on my bold ONLY if the account was set *MANUALLY*.
By "manually" i mean enter a wrong email address in the email address field (with this BIS new version you cannot set manually a gmail address any more) and then modify it filling all fields with the correct settings, email address, imap server etc etc.
If i setup a gmail address automatically, when i delete a message from web, it won't be deleted from my bold.
Tried with and without gmail plugin. It seems that this happens only with old accounts, removed and restored but not 100% sure about that... i used to have all my gmail accounts set manually.
Of course i tried to reset, wipe, send book services thousand of times etc etc. No way... only gmail accounts with manual settings are synch.
Any solution if i want to use gmail plugin and i want my deleted messages to be synch?

hi, did you try pop3 gmail account ?
and ıf you have problem yet ? you should your gsm operator support and you should want auto sync delete about your gmail account?.. because this is a sync problem and they manage your account only some matter, ı hope that they can help you, and can you tell us thnks lot of;=)

IMAP and deleting messages from the server

Anyone else trying to use IMAP in the default mail app and seeing that messages deleted locally are not removed from the server?
I found a lot of posts about this issue on older Android versions and devices, but nothing for the Bionic yet.
And unlike for POP accounts, there is not an option in the settings to turn this on. IMAP is all about keeping messages and folders in sync between multiple clients, so this is an annoying bug.
I have been using K-9 as a work around, but I'd rather not use two different mail programs, and don't like the look/feel of K9 as much either.

Are you using IMAP or POP? Also, are you using a popular public IMAP service like GMail, MSN, etc. that can be "auto configured" without having to manually enter the server name?
Per Google the IMAP bug (which has been fixed some time ago in the Android Mail app but not yet in Motorola's Blur mail app) is triggered by visiting the incoming server settings for the account.
IMAP's entire purpose it to keep everything in sync between multiple devices/clients. If you want to delete messages on your phone without deleting them from the server, you should use POP3 instead of IMAP and ensure you have the client configured to NOT remove messages from the server when deleted locally and to always "leave a copy of message on the server". This is a general concept of POP3, nothing specific to the Bionic, Blur, or Android.

Read and deleted messages are not being updated on my iphone 4s

I have a new user who is having a synchronization issue with his iPhone. When he reads emails on his desktop, the messages on his iPhone 4s show as being unread. Also, when he delets messages on his desktop email, messages are not being deleted on his iPhone. I have never seen this issue before and do not know what to do. Please help. Thank you!

The end user just started with the company a week ago and he is using Outlook 2010. We never had this issue in the past. Active sync has been enabled on user’s account and he was able to configure the firm's Exchange email profile on his iPhone. Although he is able to receive messages on his mobile device, it does not sync with his desktop email. I asked him to delete the profile on the device and create it again, but he wants to do that as a last option.

How to Make Sent and Deleted Messages Get Saved in the Folders of My Choice

However, I could not find this feature in Mac OS 10.6.2's Mail application; instead, these mails are saved in default folders created by the program. you can do it in in Mail too if your account is IMAP. select a mailbox you want to use for Sent in the IMAP section of your account in the lower section of the sidebar. then go to mailbox menu->use this mailbox for->sent.

POP Servers and deleting messages

I created an account to retrieve my messages from my ISP thru POP, but when I delete them thru Mail, they remain on the server. Is there a setting that I'm missing to keep it synchronized? Thanks.

You can't synchronize mailboxes on the server with a POP type account but you can select when to delete messages from the server when downloaded by the Mail.app.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Advanced tab for the account preferences, select "Remove copy from server after retrieving a message:" and your choices below are:
Right Away
After one day
After one week
After one month
When moved from Inbox
I have it set to Right Away for my POP type accounts.
There is also a "Remove now" button which removes all available messages from the server.
