Confusion Does Bad Psu Equal Bad Overclocking

I have recentley built my first system about a year ago, and its been runnin fine. The power supply in it now came with the case and is pretty weak, its only 430 watts and im pretty sure it has weak rails but it did the job. My query is that I recently upgraded the system with a BFG 6800 non ultra and its my new best friend I also got a new stick of 512 for dual channel but thats beside the point. Ever since i installed the new card whenever i try to overclock i get artifacts even though temps are fine example would be before video card cpu oc= 3.2+, after barely 3.1 and i can only OC a little bit with the video card as well. O and Ram isent ocing to well either. O and no voltage settings have ever been touched. O all drivers/bios/and updates for all my hardware is all up to date.
Do i need a new PSU if so im on a 65 dollar budjet any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PS. with current system i get 9300 on 3dmark03 and 52000 on aquamark is that good scores for my system.

Yeah, I also think that you need a new PSU but for a good one the price starts around $80-90
Your scores look fine for a system running at stock speed.

K7N2 - L bad overclocker?

Hi all. I just got my 2400 mobile in and am having problems overclocking. I cant get past 8.5x200 with a vcore of 1.55. My friend says its my mobo and thats its bad at overclocking but I think hes wrong. Does anyone here have problems overclocking with a K7N2-L? What can I do to overclock my cpu more? Jumpers? I reached my max. My mobo with its 1.8v vcore max and Geil value mem are holding me back. With some better mem and some more voltage I know I could go higher. With my temps I see no problem hitting 2.6 or 2.7., but I cant go any higher.
After some tweaking I found a sweet spot at 12.5 x 200 = 2500mhz with a vcore of 1.8v. Idle temp is 38C and 44C after an hour of Far Cry. I would highly recommend anyone who wants a nice oc to get the 35w 2400+. Even me, a person with the worst luck and only decent parts was able to hit 2.5ghz.

At that point, I had taken one of the DIMs out to see if the RAM was the issue. I took it to the Apple Store and they said that the hard drive might be bad, so they wiped everything on the hard drive. After that, I was still experiencing the kernel panics. So another guy looked at it and said that it might be bad RAM. So I called the company and got them to send me more RAM and after inserting the new RAM, I still get kernel panics. I've been saving all the panic reports in a folder on my flash drive. Today I got a total of four. And then I got four the day before that. Mind you, this didn't start happening until I upgraded my system to Mavericks.
I really wish there was a way I could post them all so someone could look at them, cause to be honest, none of the code in it makes any sense to me.

memory leakage problems ?To an extent yes. During the mark phase it will be easier for the GC to identify the nullified objects on the heap while doing reference analysis.

??Same answer as earlier, Eventhough you nullify the object you cannot eliminate the reference analysis phase of GC which definitelely would take some time.

problems on devices ??There is nothing like soft/weak reference stuffs that you get in J2SE as far as J2ME is concerned with. Also, user is not allowed to control GC behavior. Even if you use System.gc() call you are never sure when it would trigger the GC thread. Kindly as far as possible do not create new object instances or try to reuse the instantiated objects.

it is only EIGRP that can perform load balancing over unequal cost links.
For equal cost links CEF allocates 16 buckets and maps them to the the physical links.
the result of a binary operation is used to associated a packet to an outgoing interface:
Source IP address EXOR DEstination IP Address EXOR hash
the hash is a seed that changes only at every reload.
Actually the last 4 bits are used so that each flow can be classified in one bucket.
then the outgoing interface is the one asscociated to the result of the exor operation.
Another way to see is that m bits are used so that 2^m is equal to N number of links (if N is even)
the rule is simple and pre-established

K8N Neo2: How to boot after bad overclock settings?

Does anyone know - is holding the <insert> key down whilst booting supposed to work on the K8N Neo2? i.e. reset the clock speed back to safe settings?
I have a new 4800+ processor that I have been trying and it doesn't like high memory bus speeds. I keep trying an overclock setting (in the BIOS) and then finding it won't post. Then I have to clear the cmos and re-enter all of the bios settings from scratch again. Its becoming a right pain in the backside, to be honest.
I thought you were supposed to be able to just hold the insert key down on power up and it should boot with safe settings?
Or am I doing something wrong?

The insert thing only worked for me a few times. If I recall correctly, you need to power down everything, including the PSU itself. Then, hold the insert key, power up the PSU and then hit the power button on the case...The only thing is, and I don't know if it is BIOS version related or what, it will sometimes power on when you hit the switch on the back of the PSU.
If you are messing with it that much, then I suggest using some Windows apps to OC. Get the BIOS set up with some decent OC'd settings, stable ones. Then use apps like Core Center(voltages), A64 Tweaker(memory) and Clock gen(clock speed) to work things out in Windows. Once you have some good settings going in Windows, restart and set it up in the BIOS. This way, if you set something wrong in Windows and the PC hangs or restarts on its own, it will restart with the good BIOS settings that you know will work...Then you make note of what not to do, lol, and continue on...I hope that helps a little...Good Luck.

How does BADI HRBAS00_GET_PROFL work?

Hi all, we're implementing context sensitive structural authisations.
I intend to use BADI HRBAS00_GET_PROFL to update table T77UA.
I've looked at the sample code for the badi and I don't see how it updates T77UA.
Am I suppose to explicitly add code to update T77UA? But if so this badi seems to be called from many transactions, I think I'm missing something?
Any help appreciated.

Hi this BADI helps you to create strcutural auth using the Context Auth Objects where in u assign the PD Profiles (or Structural Profiles) in the Roles
In place of P_ORGIN P_ORGXX etc
u will now need to maintain P_ORGINCON, P_ORGXXCON etc
This have a field called profile where u mention the PD Profiles to impletment the strcutural Authorizations. the prerequisites for this are Activating Context switches in TCode OOAC and then using this BADI u will not need to update the Table T77UA.....

What does "BAD REQUEST" mean when clicking on a site?

I am on a site which has links for other sites. I click on one and "BAD REQUEST" is the only result on the succeeding screen. This only happens with Firefox. I can get to the site using IE8. What gives?
I'm using ver 3.6.13.

That is usually a problem with corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

IMessage does bad things to your copied SQL

I work in a Mac shop (since the start of the year) and we chatter via iMessage. A co-worker recently pasted me some SQL and asked about it. Naturally I wanted to run it. Every line of the SQL had an error associated with it. Here is an example from part of the WHERE clause.

We tracked it down to the leading spaces that iMessage had replaced with some non-printing character. An interim paste and re-copy from TextWrangler and TextEdit preserved the strange characters - they had to be manually removed. Internal spaces like those around the = were not affected. An additional OSX platofrm issue is using the iMail app. It replaces the straight quotes with pretty printing quotes which also do not work in sqldeveloper.
Pasting the SQL into a vi session and then using od -x on the file revealed that a normal space is represented with a hex "20" (so two spaces are "2020") and the iMessages adjacent spaces are replaced with "a0c2".
This is not a bug in sqldeveloper for Oracle to fix, but as a developer on a Mac platform (OSX Yosemite) it is a situation of which to be aware. It is a reminder that sqldeveloper does not live in isolation and is part of the programmers ecosystem. Having just switched from a Microsoft world to the Apple world I am much more aware of the subtle differences and thought other programmers might find this information to be useful and it may save them a few minutes here and there.

This is not a sqldeveloper issue, but as a developer on a Mac platform (OSX Yosemite) it is a situation of which to be aware.

There is NO VALUE at all to any of what you posted. It doesn't explain any sql developer (or other) issue or contain any content useful in preventing any sql developer (or other) issue.

I know some basic things to OC my system but I've got a very simple question:
If I set the FSB in the bios to 190 for ex., than the system tries to reach the memory at 380 isn't it?
( CPU = FSB x 4
RAM = FSB x 2 ? )
As you can seen in my signature I've 2 pcs of Kingston HyperX 512 PC3000 (ddr370) modules. The system is working with these. Would it work with Kingston HyperX PC3500 module also?

Airport Extreme does bad selection on BSSID in repeater network (same SSID)

My iMac sees a weak signal, and the repeated signal for a SSID. The iMac always chooses the weak signal from the base station not the stronger repeated signal.
I've tried to override this choice, by using the airport command line utility:
airport --associate=<SSID> --bssid=<BSSID> --password=<passphrase>
The network is WEP encrypted.
The result of the airport command is again a connection to the base station far away.
Does anybody know how to force the airport to connect to a specific BSSID??

I am having the exact same issue. The GUI doesn't provide any option to select the BSSID or channel, and the command line utility seems to completely ignore the --bssid option.

I am currently planning and setting up a backup-server with ZFS. There will be daily snapshots of the filesystem (cron job).
Different machines connect automatically without a password via ssh (public/private key) and rsync their stuff to the backup server.
Each machine will connect to it's specific user (and therefore to it's own home directory) on the backup server. I thought that if one of the machines gets compromised (e.g. someone gets access to the private key) he only could access one home folder, nothing more. As there are daily snapshots, even it he deletes all files, they will still be there.
Is just adding a normal user per machine enough or should / can be done more to enhance security? As I said the user account is only for logging in and rsyncing stuff to the home directory.
E.g. disabling executing of applications except of rsync? Preventing fork bombs? Making it harder to run exploits? Other stuff I didn't think about?

But if I take away the shell completely (e.g. chsh -s /sbin/nologin username), I think I won't be able to rsync via ssh right?
lshell sounds very promissing for my case, I will have a look at it!
edit: I found out that there is also a "--restricted" option for "bash", where one can disable PATH variables, changing directories. I will have a look.

The error is misleading and I usually met this when i specified the patch location incorrectly.
That patchset actually contains 2 patches, and you shouldnt reference the subfolder 13919095 directly, but the location where you unzipped.
Lets say you unzipped the patch to /home/oracle/patch, then you should:
opatch auto /home/oracle/patch -oh ...and not
opatch auto /home/oracle/patch/13919095 -oh ...

I'm confused - does it still make sense to upgrade to CS6 now?

I wanted to switch from Mac to Windows in the near future and therefore upgrade from CS5 to CS6 (because apparantly it's not possible to switch my CS5 license to another OS).
Cloud version is a no-go for me, one reason is because I don't like monthly fees, I want to buy things and own them.
Now, with the CC versions announced and the discontinuation of the Creative Suite, I am not sure it even makes sense to upgrade to CS6 anymore? Would I invest in a more or less dead product?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm really confused about this.

Ok. nevermind. I decided to buy a new Mac and to continue using CS5 as long as possible while looking for alternative software.
