Congratulations to the winner of 3D CAD contest

Michael Kozenko is the winner of 3D CAD contest, held by Russian ISV-ASCON
The design contest was held for 12 years, purpose is to encourage more students and more engineering studios using Ascon software.
This year MSI Workstation team was invited to announce prize winner.
Let’s see more of their great artworks. http://ascon.net/showcase/gallery/

They already have your number and/or email address and maybe have sold it several times already to others as well. They also use number generators - software that will automatically create them - some work and some don't, they don't care, they send out millions and a few will fall for it and send them money. The only way to "hide" would be to change both and your password, but then it would happen again at some point.

  • Siebel RecordMerge: How to exclude some entities from merging to the winner

    Hi all,
I want to merge 2 accounts using Edit -> Merge Records.
However, I don't want one of the related BCs (let's say contacts) to be merged to the Winner. I only want to transfer the rest like activities, opportunities etc. How do I exclude a child BC from the record merge?
Should be fairly easy, but I can't find any related information.
    Thanks!

I have the similar problem. I have ORA- in the Critical threshold and I just want to exclude ORA-00060 from critcial threshold. What will be the syntax for that? I do not want to filter it. I still want to recieve it as warning.
    Thanks

Hello congratulations for the work you have been developing. The apple support has helped me greatly improve my Mac and better understand some applications. Recently my iPhoto has given me problems and I do not realize what is happening. When I double click a photo it does not appear ... or rather the background is black and only the zoom window appears. How to solve this? I've done a restoration of the library, but the problem remains. Thanks and good job.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
    1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
    2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
    3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
    4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
    5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    If none of these help:
    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • The War is over: the winner is...

    Hi(Bonjour)!
    The WAR is over:
    http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/19/official-hd-dvd-dead-and-buried-format-war-is -over/
    And the winner is... Blu-Ray.
So, no more question about HD-DVD production/distribution but still no app to produce Blu-Ray DVD.
Be patient, I'm pretty shure that some companies should conquer this +terra incognita+ soon and we will see Blu-Ray DVD burners, media and authoriting tool on the market.
    Michel Boissonneault

It's funny you should bring up HD right now.
A few hours ago I was reading a question from someone who is thinking of getting a Canon HV20 and as I knew nothing about it I googled its name.
The link I got was to Amazon who were selling it incredibly cheaply (£545) and under the price were the words, "Want guaranteed delivery by 1pm Wednesday, February 20? Order it in the next 8 hours and 52 minutes.................. "
I suddenly remembered that date was my birthday !
Was this some omen telling me to part with my cash ?
I also looked at a comprehensive review which seemed to sing its praises - Canon HV20
So if I did decide to get it, would it work well on FCE/FCP ? No capture problems - after all it is a Canon and we know about their FW implementation ?
In short, would it be a good camera for shooting video and editing with FCE/FCP ?
    Ian.
P.S. My wife says we can have an HD TV to go with it - but, then it's my money she's talking about !

  • The xfce-4.4 themes contest discussion

As stated on http://blog.archlinux.org I posted the files for the contest on my server: http://arch.justdreams.net/xfce44-themings.tar.gz
I recommend to either fetch shadowhands xfce4-svn packages or the set I offer here http://arch.justdreams.net/xfce4-pkgs/
I use it already for daily use and didn't encounter serious problems.
The things you should consider if you like to add an entry.
    · a usable, nice WM theme not too small and not too large, fitting for users from laptop sized screens to dual widescreen setups.
    · a background image, that doesn't steal focus from work (read: no strong contrast, everything in like colors, makes it possible to use (semi)-transparent terminals, scales well over several desktop sizes, also fits on non 4:3 screens)
    · a nice gtk-theme using gtk-xfce-engine (read: come with corporate colors, don't waste space but have usable handles) gtk-xfce-engine stays part of 4.4 (there were discussions to ditch the gtk-xfce-engine in favor of gtk's new standard engine clearlooks)
    · a nice splashscreen theme (no real reglementations apart from colors)
for xfwm4 themes you wanna read http://www.xfce.org/xfwm4-theme-howto/
    Xfwm-4.4 has some new features:
    - you can use svg instead of png files (check: http://foo-projects.org/pipermail/xfce4 … 21447.html for some details)
    - you can replace the menu button by adding "show_app_icon=true" in themerc
The files you find in my tarball reflect the way I was working:
    - create the design
    - split design into the shape parts (provided by the xpm picturesthat can actually pick up gtk colours) and the shade parts(transparent pictures on top of xpms either png or svg)
    - build the actual buttons (shape, colour etc)
    - I exported the xpm from gimp and used a whole bunch of sed lines to flip colours to get the pressed and -active state (se the shell script in te directory for details)
    The background image isn't tricky.
I added my gtkrc file in the tarball. It was mainly created from studying other gtkrc files since I didn't find some serious documentation on it.
The splashscreen is pretty much straight forward. I added a .blend file for a rendered Arch symbol. You don't have to use it. The old theme used the balou engine - you can use any other or write your own. Doesn't matter.
XFCE-4.4 is at rc1 at the moment. I think it's gonna take another month b4 it hits the final. After that we will have a poll at the forum to figure which theme the users like best.

Yeah thanks! I think you can redraw buttons in rezlooks and use my function with CL_CORNER_NONE to get better look with squared theme.
Anyway what have you *stealed* from my works? yes i like that someone appreciate my works but it's always not fun thinking you've worked for days and someone *copy* your code. I hope this *steals* are originals since that could be an improvement not a simple copy! My engines are based on rezlooks/clearlooks but i've done a lot of original work for them!
"God bless opensource" as you said, I totally agree, expecially it the ways it comes with original things and not copies!
Hehehe, by "stealing", I only mean stuff like using that function to draw rectangles instead of just cairo_rectangle, stuff that you suggested anyway... most of the original stuff you do for Murrine would be wrong for Rezlooks anyway.
Yeah, I'll chat to you on IRC sometime soon, we can discuss some things. I've been very busy with real life recently, haven't had a chance to do any work on Rezlooks for a while, I am still planning on releasing 0.7 at some point though... And yeah, that collaborative engine we talked about will be awesome
Ok I just want to focus that murrine_rounded_rectangle has to be rewrite for with the next release of cairo (1.4.0) that will be released the next month will have a great performance improvement where lines are drawn aligned. In the current cairo version there's a bug in cairo_stroke which is twice slow than cairo_fill, so unless you fill the stroke of unaligned lines appears slow as aligned ones.
With next cairo release the "stroke bug" will be fixed and we'll have to rewrite function to get the new performance boost.
I had found occasionaly this bug yesterday when i was stripping down murrine toghether with benzea and thos, gnome developers.
If you see in the gnome cvs you'll find new fixing in a lot of engines that get twice as fast by implementing cairo_fill instead of cairo_stroke, waiting new cairo release for reverting it back...

  • Does anyone have a 3D connection 3d mouse running on the parallels side for CAD software

I am trying to install a 3Dconnexion Space Navigator on the windows side.  I am Parallels and Windows 7 Home Premium.  The 3D Mounse works fine on the MAc side, but I have some CAD packages that will run windows only.

Very Frustration!!!  As a teacher, I am forced to use ppt for my presentation so that I can markup the slides during a screen recording and post that on my website.  All my products are Apple and it would be much easier, to say the least, if Apple would come up with a simple markup tool to use with keynote or at least adjust keynote so that I can use my Bamboo pad during a keynote presentation.  Usually they are on the cutting edge of technology so it baffles the mind that they have not addressed this issue especially with the endless applications in education.

  • How does one resize a photo to the dimensions required by a contest?

How does one resize a photo in aperture to the dimensions required by contest?

Are you submitting a print or a file?
You set the size of your print in the print dialog.
You set the number of pixels (the unit of linear measurement of digital images is the pixel) for a file when you create that file by exporting an Image from your Library. You can specify a recommended number of Pixels per Inch by using the (mis-named) DPI field in the Image Export Preset you use when you export.
The files you import have a height and width in pixels.  Height/width = the Aspect Ratio.  You can crop to any aspect ratio using Aperture's Crop tool.
What are the specs required by the contest's sponsors?
Message was edited by: Kirby Krieger -- added aspect ratio and cropping.

  • Whi is the winner? ALV LIst or ALV Grid OO?

    Hi Guys,
    Hope you are all well.
My company is still mostly using the ALV List Function Modules when creating reports. Yes, they are using the SLIS pools.
I have written a template program for them to start doing things the OO way. That is to say, using ALV Grid Objects.
We are now thinking of COMPLETELY going over into ALV Grid Objects, but some of us are still arguing which one is best?
    The biggest argument is :
Is ALV too "expensive" with regards to using system recources?
Please give me your thoughts as Im all for going for OO, but I would understand if it would make things slower.
Points will be awarded for useful arguments.
    tks
    Christiaan

SLIS is OLD,  OBSOLETE DINOSAUR technology.
With the new classes you can create new reports really quickly and easily and add all sorts of functionality to them.
There's a small learning curve -- but what ought to appeal to management is that once you get the hang of it you can produce a report in hours (or even minutes) which done in the old way could take a week or more.
These days Human development time is far far more expensive than machine time so there's NO CONTEST.
The advantages in general of OO are too numerous to list here but if you look at the sample code I've listed here you can see how easy and quicklly you can get an application up and running even if you haven't got my Z_class definition listed in the program (it's a global class now defined with SE24).
With either cl_gui_alv_grid or even easier (if you don't need  edit capability)  the salv_table type class it only takes a few lines to code your program and display the grid.
All you ever now need to do in an alv program is the following.
    1) define your data structures
    2) use RTTI to generate dynamic field catalog from your data structures
    3) create dynamic table
    4) populate it
    5) display grid.
You should have all the events etc you need such as cell selection etc etc.
Your whole code could be quite small.
For example I've got a generalized Z_cLass for my alv grid.
Now here's a sample program to display program names in the system. When I double click a program SE38 is entered and on exit unlike the standard sap transaction my list is re-displayed where I can choose another program.
Note how small the code is.
You won't be able to copy and run this  program directly as you'll need the Z_class definitions.
In this Z_class there's also functionality for ON  data change, multiple cell selection , toolbar additions etc.
These methods are available to EVERY program calling the class.
If you need the extra functionality using SLIS you have to program it in every time for each individual program.
You can therefore concentrate in your application program on just getting the data and displaying it. All the complicated functionality is in the Z_class.
Incidently using ALV classes can also render the whole idea of classical dynpros with Table controls as also obsolete.

  • How to creat the interface of auto CAD file with labview

     Hi
I have been controling  2-axis Piezo motor  with labview. Now I have to use the dwg or dxf file  to move the piezo controller axis. How I can  transform the  dwg or dxf  file into  decimal number 1, -1   to create interface with my labview.

    Hi Nusrat,
So it sounds like you want to create a CAD drawing and then control your piezo motor via LabVIEW by moving the CAD drawing?  Is that correct?
If that is correct - I don't know of a way to do this I'm afraid.  I don't think it's really possible.
The only potential way to do this is to use SolidWorks as your CAD program and then convert the SolidWorks drawing into an STL file, which can then be imported into LabVIEW as a 3D picture control.  I can't think of any other way to achieve this.
    These examples might help you:
    LabVIEW Interface VIs for SolidWorks
STL Geometry in 3D Picture Control
    The Pitch Perfect Tuner
Develop Motion Applications with RIO and SolidWorks
    NI SoftMotion for SolidWorks
Connect NI LabVIEW and DS SolidWorks
    I hope that helps.

  • Thank You, Congratulations, and the Apple TV

    Dear Mr. Jobs,
Thank you for creating the MacBook Air. It’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for in an ultra portable. The weight, battery life, SSD, multi-touch with CoverFlow, iChat with iSight, and full size keyboard make this the best ultra portable laptop in the market in my view.
Thank you for taking another swing at success with the Apple TV and considering the consumer while you were up at the plate. While I think it’ll be a homerun, I want to offer my view of what’s still needed to transform the Apple TV into a grand slam. The iEvery. Everything, everywhere, anytime. Or better yet, the iFreedom.
The top two factors in my view that propelled the iPod to reach critical mass were freedom and status. I believe these factors can be applied to creating the same success for the Apple TV.
    Freedom
As consumers, we embraced the opportunity to transform the hundreds of CDs sitting on our shelves into a single, portable library in our pocket. The freedom to enjoy all of our music anywhere anytime, provided the motivation to digitize our music libraries, and consequently, purchase new digital music legally through iTunes.
For the Apple TV to succeed, I believe Apple TV or iTunes must facilitate the same legal digitization of our existing DVD film library as is presently provided with our CD music library. That will spark sales for movies in iTunes the same way propelled sales for digital music. Does Congress need to pass a similar law as AHRA for films first or can licensing with the majors sanction this?
Second, syncing vs. streaming. Once a consumer digitizes the media, the most freedom would be found by storing the digital film on a central home TerraServer that can stream content wirelessly. This seems like a slam dunk at home, but I believe what could propel Apple TV into the stratosphere is the ability for a consumer to stream from his home TerraServer to any location, via the iPhone.
The next-gen iPhone could stream any file; music, film, documents, etc.., at 3G speeds. The iPhone could facilitate a wireless connection to the MacBook, and thus provide remote access to any file, including a film viewed on the gorgeous Mac screens. The iPhone could be placed into an iDash in your car to provide access to your home TerraServer, and stream music and films into your car’s entertainment system, as well as hands-free, voice powered phone and email communication.
    That is freedom, the iFreedom.
    Status
The white earphones of the iPod. For the Apple TV/iFreedom, how about wireless headphones with simulated 5.1 when appropriate. Perhaps in the web 2.0 color, lime green. Also close in color to the Granny Smith. =^)
Thank you again for the MacBook Air. Thank you for listening and considering the consumer. Congratulations on another remarkable year of innovation. I look forward to the next 50 weeks.
    Respectfully,

    Works fine on 60" here...
What do you mean cut-off? Letterboxed? One side only?
HDMI should sync up without an issue.
